And you think the American people are going to reward McBush and Palin with 4 more years?!! Get real and wake up!! We have tried your way and to what and for what??!! Just like any other CEO of a business enterprise who fails and proceeds to run that enterpise into a ditch......Get out of here - YOU AND THE REPUBLICANS ARE FIRED!!!

I asuume you work for an hourly wage (not that taht is a bad thing, I used to) with no hopes and dreams of doing much better. If Obama gets elected that is exactly what their plan will do to Americans. It will take away any hope of doing much better than working for an hourly wage until they retire to collect social security and just getting by for the rest of their life (socialism). You may get free health care though, but you'll pay 50% of your salary to get it along with some other give-a-way programs that will amount to being thrown a bone compared to what it will cost you in taxes in the long run. I now work for myself and got to where I am by myself. I have worked two jobs at times, worked 60-70 hour weeks, started businesses and failed and did it again. I learned alot along the way, I learned that Capitalism is great and all of us can get what we want by ourselves. I learned that if you have hopes and dreams you can get them if you just work for them. Work hard do the right things and nothing is impossible. I have done best in my lifetime while Bush has been president, so I have nothing to blame him for. It has never been the job of our government to take care of us financially, only to manytain a military and a justice system to protect our freedoms (nothing more). Our society today wants the easy way out and less work. They expect freebies and give-a-ways from their Country instead of Family taking care of family, hard work, saving money, living within your means, etc. People need to grow up and get some nads and take care of themselves as we can in a free capitalist society. The Republican party represents that point of view, less taxes and less government will keep us free and capitalist. God Bless America, we are and have been the greatest Nation on earth..Let's keep it that way. McCain / Palin '08

I would like to add that in my younger years (I was a dem then) I blamed all my fiancial troubles on the government. I lost a home to forclosure (Jimmy Carter years) lost some jobs barely made enough to support my family etc. Balming the government was just an excuse for my own failures. It was my fault I was doing better, not bad luck and not the government. i finally woke up and realized that jobs aren't permanent and I need to control what I earn and where I will be 20 years from now and that to rely on anybody to take care of me was foolish. I started quiting jobs and getting better paying jobs, when I felt I was worth more i asked for a raise and offered more output in exchange (I got every raise I asked for). I then decided i didn't want to do manual labor for the rest of my life and quick a truck driving job making $16.00 an hour (in 1980 that was alot of money) to be a salesman as I figured I could make more mioney without breaking my back and going back to school. I offered to work for free to show them I could do it and guess what, they hired me on the spot and i've been in sales ever since. I have started a few businesses that suceeded and 1 had failed, but I never blamed my government. People need to look in the mirror and realize they can do anything they want if they try and yes they can do much better if they want to. They don't need promises from the government, all they need is less government and less taxes (so you can keep more of your money) to help get things rolling. No matter how bad the ecomnomy I always found work, I even hung on the back of a trash truck (if my mother could have seen that) for a few weeks in between jobs (that job paid great and had great benefits) . Economy's go up and they always go down, I have seen it happen many times in my lifetime. McCain / Palin '08

The attempt to cover up the truth about Palen's activities in Alaska are eerily similar to the way the Bush white house has been successful in keeping everyone there from testifying before the Senate. It will seem like nothing at all has changed if McCain and Palen are elected this year, and isn/t that what we have all been preaching for this whole campaign...4 more years just like the past 8 years. beccajo in Ky.

If I snap my figers are you people going to start flapping your arms and squak like a chicken? It seems you have been hipnotized by Obama. His only qualification to be running for the office of the United States is that he is a Black Senator, nothing more. I haven't heard one thing positive he has done for our Country to be worthy to be the President of the United States. And now people want to attack a Vice Presidential canidate who is more worhty to be Vice President than Obama is to be President. Take off the blinders and think, how could you elect someone to run our country on promises with noting to back it up and so little experience. Actions speak louder than words and McCain and palin have real actions behind them that actually have made a difference for Americans. Obama seems to mesmerize people with his speeches like another man before him, his name was Hitler. I am waving a shiney object in front of you now, so you can come out of the trance now.

sharenews - have they "DUMBED YOU DOWN" so much that you are buying McCain as a POW instead of McCain as a President and the type of policies he would put in play? Has it not at all bothered you of the hollow speech he and Palin gave at the convention where they did not mention not one policy proposal? You have let Palin become a smokescreen - a distraction from what McCain really stands for - Bush!!!

Here we go again. The repugnants want to sweep their crimes under the rug yet again. This is not a totalitarian society, we do not live in russian ,even though sarah palin supporters would like to add the proximity of alaska to russia as a foreign policy experience plus for her. The law must be applied equally from top to bottom. The law is quite clear - commit a crime you do the time. You abuse your elected powers you get kicked out of office. Media do your job, do not back down. Let us know every last detail of the life of sarah palin. This is your public charter.

This article states that McCain is using his surrogates to squash an investigation of wrong doing by his VP pick. Instead, they should have welcomed an investigation, and even a court trial, to bring out the facts and clear the air around his VP nominee. This is the sort of behavior befitting a Tammany Hall Stooge; not a President of the United States of America. Why is the press so nice to him?

McCain has acknowledged voting with President Bush 90 percent of the time in Congress, Obama said.

"And suddenly he's the change agent? Ha. He says, 'I'm going to tell those lobbyists that their days of running Washington are over.' Who is he going to tell? Is he going to tell his campaign chairman, who's one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell his campaign manager, who was one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington?"

"I mean, come on, they must think you're stupid," Obama said as the crowd laughed and cheered

She did leave it with a surplus. You got some more left wing mis-information again I assume.

The fact is only a few Republican s voted with Mccain on his reform legislation...and it is real!
OHH...is Obama making a dummy out of you again!
He's different... but Obama is not CHANGE as he runs a very standard and same-old DNC Americans Suck First campaign which he isn't smart enough to invent himself. Only study and use.
Obama is counting on a cretian number of Americans being stupid!. He's in a desperate hurry and got no time to visit wounded military professionals.
He makes the real professional Rock stars look bad.!

The only people bing fooled in this election are the one's that vote for Obama. The dems always promise the world and do nothing. Look at the democratically contolled congress, they take your money to run an election instead of doing the work for us Americans. Obama couldn't do half of what he says without making us a Socialist Society. Then you will need to work real hard to pay 50% of your pay to pay for the government freebies. All hopes of starting or owning your own business and dreams of success will fade away. Keep in mind, all those give-a-way programs will end up just like the social security fiasco. We will pay many times more in taxes than what it was worth.

Remember what Sarah said in her speech about being a mayor that left her town with a surplus? SARAH LIED! More truths are coming out.

The biggest project that Sarah Palin undertook as mayor of this small town was an indoor sports complex, where locals played hockey, soccer, and basketball, especially during the long, dark Alaskan winters.

The only catch was that the city began building roads and installing utilities for the project before it had unchallenged title to the land. The misstep led to years of litigation and at least $1.3 million in extra costs for a small municipality with a small budget. What was to be Ms. Palin's legacy has turned into a financial mess that continues to plague Wasilla.

"It's too bad that the city of Wasilla didn't do their homework and secure the land before they began construction," said Kathy Wells, a longtime activist here. "She was not your ceremonial mayor; she was in charge of running the city. So it was her job to make sure things were done correctly."

"If people are going to be voting on her based on her experience as Wasilla's mayor, then they should know how she did in the job,"

More Republican sleaze. They outed a CIA agent by manipulating the press and got Scooter Libby to take the fall --- and then he quickly got pardoned by George Bush. Republicans see the press as a tool of manipulation. Of course they are manipulating this investigatoin and its press coverage.

OBAMA SAYS: John McCain and Sarah Palin Must Think The American People Are Stupid!!!

Speaking to 800 people at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds in Terre Haute, Ind., the Democratic presidential nominee ridiculed John McCain and his running mate, the Alaska governor, for describing themselves as agents of change at this week's GOP convention!

"Don't be fooled," Obama told the crowd surrounding him in a large barn. "John McCain's party, with the help of John McCain, has been in charge" for nearly eight years.

"I know the governor of Alaska has been saying she's change, and that's great," Obama said. "She's a skillful politician. But, you know, when you've been taking all these earmarks when it's convenient, and then suddenly you're the champion anti-earmark person, that's not change. Come on! I mean, words mean something, you can't just make stuff up."

McCain has vowed to wipe out earmarks, which are targeted funding for specific projects that lawmakers put into spending bills. As governor, Palin originally supported earmarks for a controversial Alaska project dubbed the "bridge to nowhere." But she dropped her support after the state's likely share of the cost rose. She hung onto $27 million to build the approach road to the bridge.

No one is attacking Palin. Sarah Palin has a VERY SERIOUS crediblitity and trust gap right now. First she confronts the media in her speech, but now hides and refuses to sit down with any tv reporter to dicuss her policies, how she voted and what she would bring to the White House. Let alone defend herself from all these stories - but she is choosing to be cowardly! We have a right to know who she is. McCain, Biden, Hillary and Obama have all been vetted by the media for the past 2 years!! She's only been going through this for 2 weeks!!! We have a right to know who she is and frankly, with all the scandals (yes - plural!) coming out that she is involved in, her extreme views on our country and it's people - Sarah needs to step up and speak for herself - not what the Bush-McCain writers tell her to say!! Where is the leadership in this woman? Leaders don't run and hide - they step forward!! She is not ready to lead this country or be a vice president!! No way, no how, No McCain-Palin!!

And by the way - Oprah has not had any candidates on her show during the primary or general campaigns. Get your facts straight and stop using republican talking point to stir up controversy among women! Oprah is well respected and known. Hillary Clinton is well respected and known. Who is Sarah Palin?!!

Gov. Sarah Palin's church is promoting a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer.

"You'll be encouraged by the power of God's love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality," according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed for about six years.

Palin's conservative Christian views have energized that part of the GOP electorate, which was lukewarm to John McCain's candidacy before he named her as his vice presidential choice. She is staunchly anti-abortion, opposing exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes gay marriage and spousal rights for gay couples.

Focus on the Family, a national Christian fundamentalist organization, is conducting the "Love Won Out" Conference in Anchorage, about 30 miles from Wasilla.

Palin, campaigning with McCain in the Midwest on Friday, has not publicly expressed a view on the so-called "pray away the gay" movement. Larry Kroon, senior pastor at Palin's church, was not available to discuss the matter Friday, said a church worker who declined to give her name.

They just don't get it. The more they attack Sarah Palin the popular she becomes. I saw a poll result this morning where 94% of the people surveyed think Oprah is unfairly not letting Sarah Palin on her show. Many said in comments they will tune out Oprah now , many are Woman voters who think she being treated unfairly because she is a Woman ans a Republican. She is getting more support tahn Oprah. 2 more weeks of the media bashing Palin and I figure it will no longer be an even race. McCain/Palin will be on the road to victory.
