That's because this country has a history of not standing up for Blacks, Indians, Poor people, Handicap people, Women ect... I keep reminding people that this country was founded on the principles of hate and oppression and most people continue to ignore it like it will go away and the world will somehow look kindly upon America. But as long as Americans continue to allow this poison to exist, we will suffer.

See here we go again Palin is right no matter what and Wooten and Monegan are wrong no matter what. First your forgetting there was an investigation into Wooten and was punished for his mistakes. Second you guys don't seem to care that Palin said she never called or had any contact. Well guess what there are emails from her so that is involvement. Second I never had anyone call well low and behold there is at least one audio recording of her people. Palin said me and my staff never did anything wrong strange since the Union and other sources say they did illegally look into Wooten???s records. Next she says I am cooperating well that???s not the picture the special investigator is saying that Palin or her lawyer will not return calls. That???s not even it She asks the Legislation to remove Special investigator and have the whole thing turned over to ethics Boards which she appointed everyone too. you may say that???s it but wait it???s not. Key Alaska allies of John McCain are trying to derail a politically charged investigation into Gov. Sarah Palin's firing of her public safety commissioner that could produce embarrassing information about the vice presidential candidate on the eve of the election. Not only are they asking the state legislators to remove the Special investigator removed but there asking that French, the one overseeing the probe be released. I bet that???s it right wait wrong there is more Key Allies of Palin and McCain suggested Friday that the investigation into Palin's firing of Monegan should be shut down entirely.
My question is if you did not do anything wrong and have nothing to hide why do you run all over and *** on yourself to have the investigation just disappear. It???s because you are buried in it way over your head and the crap is going to hit the fan.

When George W. Bush told the American people, the world and the congress that there was sufficient justification for attacking Iraq, he lied. Today the American people realize that, just as the world has all along. When he said that American drugs brought back into the U.S. would be unsafe, he lied to support his position, as he did when he said Global Warming wasn???t a real problem. He lied, as did many others in his administration, when he said his administration had nothing to do with releasing the CIA agent???s identity and again when he stated that squelching the wiretapping story during an election year was done for national security reasons and not just for political reasons. When he offered that Afghanistan was relatively secure, the War on Terror was succeeding and it wasn???t a problem to focus instead on Iraq and then frequently again throughout the Iraq campaign he used ???rational lies??? in reporting status. On and on, private accounts for Social Security, Tax Cuts for the wealthy, trade agreements resulting in exported American jobs and taxes, the humongous deficit isn???t a problem,,, George W. Bush and his staff have freely reverted to exaggerations, rationalizations, intentional deceptions,, simply lies while they pursued their own private agenda and now today everyone understands that to be the reality ??? but how often have we actually heard it said? When have you ever heard a reporter say, ???Well the president (or his staff) has told another whopper today???? Not the media, not the Democrats, not any whistle blower with merit, not any responsible Republican with a conscience, not even any Christian or community leader, not anyone with credibility has ever come out and exposed or condemned the flagrant and arrogant lying that the Bush administration has so consistently indulged in. Why? Is there that much power behind them, to control the media and put fear in everyone else? And if that is true, where does that leave us? One by one, separately the individual lies can be taken and rationalized, covered over and explained using more lies but together they tell the real story ??? we are simply being taken for granted and repeatedly lied to. Maybe it is felt that calling them on their lies or disrespectfully calling the President a liar would serve no purpose and might even be counter-productive but, as we have drastically seen, that then only condones and encourages more of the same. It is well past time for change! We desperately need change from the Bush-Cheney abuse and private use of our government and we really need change from Washington as usual!

The above is something I wrote awhile back and now today we even have John McCain, the Republican nominee for president, sternly declaring that the last eight years have been a failure costing America greatly and that the Republican Party has lost the people???s trust and that we desperately need real change. He now says that he is for change (the Democrats long standing position) and that McCain-Palin is the ticket to shake up Washington??? BUT ??? he is still totally dependent on and is aggressively cultivating the support of all the same people and interests who supported and benefited from the Bush-Cheney positions. Then he, contrary to what he says, in all of his years in Washington has only given change some talk and no action and as a supposed ???Maverick??? has really only flip-flopped and then as it personally benefited him. And Palin is obviously their attack dog, she calls herself ???a pit bull with lipstick???, as she is extreme, aggressive and feisty and offers little else, including no diplomacy and only unrelentingly and without conscience attacks on Obama. McCain-Palin boldly state that the campaign is about personalities and they avoid talking about the issues where change is suppose to take place. There really isn???t much hope for the much needed change there, only more rhetoric aimed to steal the Democrats??? thunder ??? and remember even Bush ran with the promise for change. The lies simply continue to add up in an effort to disguise more of the same. Hopefully the people are less apt to be deceived this time.

Importantly the reports state that the estranged spouse filed for divorce and a domestic violence protective order on April 11 2005 against the State Trooper. Under new federal law, anyone subject to a protective order or convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault is subject to a ban on possession or use of a handgun for a minimum of five years or at least to the end of the protective order. Some have argued that the ban is forever even after the protective order expires. The Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban is a federal law that applies to everyone including police officers and servicemen and servicewomen. It is a felony to violate the law and the penalty is five years in prison. If subject to a protection order as alleged, the trooper should have been ineligible to be a State law enforcement officer and it would have been a slam dunk to terminate him. It would be a felony for the brother-in-law trooper to wear his standard sidearm if subject to a protective order. The State Police Commissioner should have been aware of this law and should have terminated the brother-in-law without being asked. The State Commissioner failure to uphold the federal law should have been enough grounds for his own termination.

A local political influence issue is finding itself in the big time arena of a Presidential campaign. This is simply an example of John McCain's shallow judgment and decision making process. Had thorough vetting been done, this issue would have been known and taken into consideration as would the other issues that have surfaced around Governor Palin. An example is her false claim that the Sate had sold its airplane on e-bay and reaped a profit.
