It looks like new charges need to be filed against a political campaign trying to squelch an "ongoing investigation." It certainly looks partisan when Republican operatives try to remove a Democrat who is investigating a Republican. The news of Sarah Palin trying to have a librarian fired after she refused to censor books in the library, indicates that Mrs. Palin is not above using her power for personal issues.

All the power and money the McCain campaign has come roaring into Alaska to quell the investigation. Does "Partisan politics on behalf of the investigation" sound familiar to anyone? I think Abramoff and the Bush cronies shrilled that one. Who's really running the position of Governor of Alaska? Sara or Todd? He seemed pretty comfortable intimidating the safety commissioner in the governor's office.

Sounds like the republicans are trying to spin this and shut down perfectly legitimate investigation.

The politicization of Gov Palin and the bloggers and media stories concerning how different segemnts of the population fell about her the issues concerning her family, etc need to stop. If the liberal press expects any result and push on the Obama front there reporting needs to take a leg up and become more responsible and of a journalisitic quality.
Observations for Obama to gain more traction which he does not have now he needs to articulate the issues to the audiences he is talking to AS AN EXAMPLE THE Jobs report. The report was awful and it is not enough to say that it is bad and why it is THEY NEED TO TELL THE AMERICAN PUBLIC IN A FEW SHORT SENTENCES( SOUND BITES) WHAT THE HECK THEY WILL DO ABOUT IT. Obama 's economic message is not focused and unclear and the public statements he has made prove it. With the emergence of Governor Palin and the energized base of the Republican party taking hold THE LAST THING THE OBAMA CAMP NEEDS TO DO IS TO FOCUS ON issues that frankly won't result in an outcome within the next several weeks to change anything. EXAMPLE, THE STATE TROOPER ISSUE,Her teeen daughter, Her husband the hunter, etc,etc.
What they need to do is to focus on their economic message and natinal security. REALLY REIGN IN THEIR surrogates. Anybody see the Michael Moore interview with Laryy King. The Obama team ought to be seething, he said nothing and could not articulate one valid point of either his economic, healthcarea nd or national security platform. The talking heads of the liberal press look like deer in headlights. As the days count down, the oBAMA PEOPLE BETTER CRAFT AN IMAGE of their message so a person making or a couple making $60,000 100,000 can really understand the impact on thier lives and their ability to pay bills and educate their children. All I can say is that they have about 45 days to get this done and i amnot encouraged by what I see and hear.

The campaign is less than a week old and McCain is already trying to cover up an investigation. According to some sources, Palin really has nothing to hide. Her ex-brother-in-law is supposedly an all-time creep. (I could say the same thing about my ex-brother-in-law.) So why must we shut down the investigation? Obviously, the investigation will uncover something that neither Palin, McCain, nor the GOP want us to know.
McCain promised that he would bring about a change. I don't see any change here. It's just another version of the same-old, same-old. The only change McCain will bright is 4 more years of a Bush presidency - only worse - --- MUCH WORSE.
The American people need to wake up. If they swallow all the lies that McCain and Palin are peddling, - they're as stupid as my ex-brother-in-law.

mccain said he was seeking to change washington and the old ways of doing things. yet once again he is supporting the subversion of a legitimate investigation into a government representatives alleged misconduct. how is this different other than it's him doing it? what kind of accountability can we expect from his administration if he subverts justice before he's even in office?

now that palin has been assimilate,let us now proceed in conquering worlds,at first she was said to be cor operating with the investigation. now she has lawyered up but can't claim executive privilege she seems to conduct herself like a member of bush league justice group that's in the white house now.so 4 more of the last 8 is not a stretch.

Palin put her aide Frank Bailey on leave, PAID leave, now Tod Palin has his own lawyer, who's paying for this lawyer?? I don't believe the alaskans will let the GOP go up there and run their Investigation. I certainly hope not. But then, look what the GOP has done to this country.
