Americans of all political persuasions must realize the PATRIOT ACT, IRAQ WAR, AGGRESSION AGAINST RUSSIA, FREEDOM FROM GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF A WOMAN'S RIGHTS, INCREASED ECONOMIC WOES, DISCRIMINATION AGAINST GAYS, HOME LOAN SCANDALS: all this and more has been brought to us by the REPUBLICAN PARTY. This time, vote your interests, not your emotions.

Someone just forwarded me this great petition demanding the truth at www.alaskatroopergate.com that states:

"We, the undersigned, call on Sarah Palin to fulfill her promise to cooperate with the Alaska Troopergate investigation.

We demand that GOP operatives stop stonewalling the investigation.

We as Americans say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and demand the information we are entitled to know to make an informed decision before election day!"

Please help get the word out!

John Mccain is going to regret his choice as soon as Sarah Palin turns her self centered venom on him. The expression "loose canon" comes to mind for both of them. We really don't need a drama queen in the Whitehouse.

If this isn't abuse of power by the McCain team than I dont know what is....This is information the public needs to know. Palin is the running mate of the Republican candidate for President.
I personally don't trust Palin's or McCain's integrity. Now she's playing the game of victim to avoid media scrutiny and questioning. As Obama said he's been scrutinzed for the past 19 mos. and he's still standing strong...Palin's been scrutinized for a week now and she's playing victim of the media...I'm a strong woman and I must say she is a poor excuse for strong women everywhere.. She's just a very good manipulator. If she wants to get down with the boys then she needs to roll up her sleeves and take as many punches as she's been putting out and stop playing the victim act.

Team Obama Moves to Silent Ayers Investigation:

Stanley Kurtz, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center went in search of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge records to develop a more truthful picture of the personal, economic, and ideological relationship between Obama and the indicted terrorist bomber, Ayer. Kurtz???s investigation came to an abrupt end as University of Illinois Library suddenly reversed their decision about letting him view the CAC documents held by the library. (Kurtz, Stanley, New Republic, ???Chicago Annenberg Challenge Shutdown? A Cover-up in the making???? August 18, 2008). It seems someone in high places does not want all the information about Obama and Ayers known.

After several days of negative publicity, the CAC again reversed their decision and will allow Kurtz access to the now filtered docs - filtered of anything that would show Obama for what he really is, a politician. Where's the change?

This is Chicago. This is Obama.

You have only conjecture and fear-mongering and name calling about "terrorists" and vague threats of possible "connections." On top of the stunning lack of evidence you have about anything, really, you neglect to realize that Obama wasn't in any elected office at the time. He has not tried to stop an ongoing legislative investigation. As a matter of fact, you have NO PROOF that he or anyone he knows has tried to stop any investigation. Ph wait, you conspiracy theorists are in fact blaming a public library for engaging in a massive cover up. Rather than admitting that the press has found no compelling evidence about a story, you insist in your conspiratorial ways that there is so much bias that the press would willingly overlook a story that you are sure will reveal that Obama is in fact a terrorist. Sure, yeah, I think journalists would pass that scoop up. Just because you Republicans like to use big Orwellian words (Ethics and Public Policy Center) doesn't change the fact that Kurtz is the attack dog for Bill Kristol's dubious "organization."

It is legally not animal cruelty if you're the designated pitbull attack dog...

How proud her children must be!!!

Sarah asked, "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick!" I ask, "Isn't putting lipstick on a dog, animal cruelty?"

God forbid the JUSTICE DEPT. would get involved and get all the outside political people OUT of there. But the GOP's blitzkrieg into Alaska just shows you they're not worrying about protecting Palin, but protecting themselves. Since we all know the axiom "it's not the crime, it's the cover-up" the fact that the GOP is going in with such bluster makes us think "why do they want to slow the investigation down? Palin herself was being a stand-up politician in helping to move this inquiry forward to begin with." Shutting this down or slowing it up they just show her to be another politician. She had an image of a "let's clean up this town reformer. Now she's just seen as hiding beneath the coattails of her lawyers. Once that happens - we all know she's hiding something.

"He said that in the "post-McCarthy era", he would have expected more due process guarantees.
    ..really? How 'bout this instead:
In the "post-9/11 era you would expect LESS due process guarantees.
    What a bunch of jerks.

something tells me that Tood Palin is up to his eyeballs in this one as well. His wife may have been the Governor of record, and he use this to push his weight around the staff and legislators.

  • Posted By: nwmogran @ 09/06/2008 9:03:57 AM

McCain and his people are interfering in a legislative investigation. How come the FBI has not been dispatch to ask these people to leave, stop or arrest these individuals for obstruction of justice.
McCain would not be in this fix if he has kept a cool head and did the necessary vetting of Sarah Palin.

  • Posted By: nwmogran @ 09/06/2008 8:59:45 AM

The FBI need to move out all campaign people, they need to stop the interference of Alaska's Investigation. I am not surprise at John McCain wishing to coverup any additional damanging information, but this would not be happening if he has kept a cool head and done if vetting properly.

Let me get something straight. (1) French chairs the bipartisan legislative council investigating wrongdoing of Palin and (2) The Council has already appointed a special counsel (read independent counsel) to fact find. The investigation is out of French's hands, as it were, so why is McCain fixated on removing democrat from a bipartisan where any decision would have to be reached through consensus anyway?
