Palin's political enemies have a stink bomb set to go off late in October, just before the election. That's when voters will see fruits of a legislative investigation into the charge that the governor fired Alaska's Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan because he wouldn't get rid of Mike Wooten, a state trooper and Palin's ex-brother-in-law.

We can see where this is headed. Palin will be found to have done nothing illegal in firing Monegan, since public safety commissioners serve at the governor's pleasure. But the media will frame this case in vague but sinister terms: Think "abuse of power." It will also bury the back story that explains why Palin was so concerned.

So here are some key facts to keep on file (for a full report on Wooten, see adn.com/front/story/476430.html). You may not be seeing much of them from here on:

    FYI jordan c. fan

Arizona as you state it is nothing but sand and desert yet it maintains that it has the MOST boat ownerships per capita than any other state....I think that the U. S. Naval Academy would fit right in there as well.

All of you should stop wasting your time picking on Palin! The One and only issue in this election is: Whether The U. S. Naval Academy should remain in Annapolis, Maryland? Maryland is the only "Battle Ground State", not Alaska!

By: Jordan C. Fan, Prophet Of Environment

The whole American election boils down to just one (1) and Battle Ground State = Armageddon (literary) = Maryland State.

The One and only issue in this election is: Whether The U. S. Naval Academy should remain in Annapolis, Maryland.

    The are only four possibilites:

    (1) Obama got elected. Maryland vote for Obama. Naval Academy stay in Maryland.

    (2) McCain got elected. Marylad vote for McCain. Naval Academy stay in Maryland.

    (3) Obama got elected. Maryland vote against Obama. Naval Academy stay in Maryland. It not feasible for Obama to relocate the Academy because it generate income to the state of Maryland. Many Black live in Maryland. The only thing Obama can do is to send in his secret police and get rid of hid Black traitors.

    (4) McCain got elected. Maryland vote against McCain. McCain relocates the Naval Academy. The problem is Arizon is the most arrid or driest place in the U. S. The entire state is a desert and Grand Canyon. How can a Naval Academy locate in a place with no water? So during this election McCain can campaign by saying if him was elected and Maryland vote against him then he will relocate to the state where there is plenty of water. So where else but the Great Lake and Illinois. McCain can also suggest other Great Lake states such as Ohio, Michigan, New York, Wisconsin, or Minnesota depending on who are going to elect him. So people in Illinois will vote for McCain and Maryland will have no choice but also vote vote for McCain. Since Maryland is the Black Capital near the nation's Capital and Illinois is a Black State, if Obama loses there, then their is no way he can win this election. The main issue and prize for this election is nothing else but the Naval Academy in Maryland.

An important presidential election record will be broken this year, it is not the first time a woman or Black person will be elected to the Executive office. We will be seeing the greatest American tragedy unfolding right before our eyes. It is one of the rare occasions when a native son will not be elected by his own state. To make it worse, such native son is the greatest hero in an area which has always been the pride and joy of that state. Correct me if I am wrong. I have hardly heard any one at the Repulican Convention or during their campaign mentioned the Annapolis Naval Academy, not even McCain himself. Being born in Panama to a naval family and travel all over this country and the world, McCain really does not have a true home. Arizona is a state he used for election to Congress which he has not visited frequently. The Navy Academy is the only place McCain can really call his home in which he had spent the happiest time of his college life with his navy friends. Maryland should welcome her naval son with open arms and elect him as president.

But, no! Maryland have 1.6 million Black or approximately 30 % of the state's population making it the "Black Capital" near of the real Capital of the nation. It was 36 % to 61% (almost double) in favor of Obama over Hillary during the primary here. All media and people in Maryland have expressed the sad fact that little or no Marylanders will vote for McCain. I personally don't like McCain very much but my conscience forced me to campaign for him. This episode is not only the greatest disgrace of all Americans but also of that of the human race. It is an unforgivable sin committed by all Marylanders especially its Black racists. I am making suggestion to our Government to relocate its Naval Academy out of Maryland. The true and only battle ground states, for this election, are not Ohio, Florida or Michigan but Maryland. The decision is not who is going to become president? But whether God had made a mistake in creating man?

With this letter I have ended this election right here and now! All of you should know that it will be impossible for Obama to win without Maryland.

The whole American election boils down to just one (1) and only one, Battle Ground State = Armageddon (literary) = Maryland State.

    Bush on Palin: Executive!

McCain and Bush love Sarah Palin.....what does that tell you?

President Bush touted Sarah Palin in an interview with Fox to air tomorrow morning on Fox & Friends, saying John McCain made "an inspired pick."

Bush seemed to especially like what other Republicans seized on: her executive experience as a mayor and governor.

"Well, she???s had executive experience, and that???s what it takes to be a capable person here in Washington, D.C. in the executive branch," Bush said.

  • Posted By: Yes! We ALL Can @ 09/08/2008 6:58:05 PM

We are open minded. So open minded that we do use our brains and think for ourselves! We don't let one policitical party tell us a bunch of lies, make things up and then try to sell them as truth!! Talk about character!!
"The McCain camp has tried to again obscure the facts about Gov. Palin. 'She is a reformer and against earmarks.' No she isn't, when she was mayor of that town she hired a lobbyist to get earmarks... 'She was against the bridge to nowhere.' No she wasn't. She was for the bridge to nowhere first... She is a budget balancer. But she left the town in greater debt then when she became mayor, so she is not a budget balancer."

"She is a good person, she has tremendous potential but in no way shape or form is she ready to be president of the United States."

"She claims to be a reformer. " "And yet she is being investigated on the charge that she used her power as governor to fire someone who was going through a messy divorce with a relative of hers. Could you imagine if anyone else was doing the same thing in Pennsylvania or any other state? They would be calling for that govenor's impeachment." Imagine if Barack was in the situation - WHOA!! would the media and everyone come down on him.

You would be mistaken. We recall that Obama lied about his relationship with Tony Rezko, and that the relationship went no farther than that of the real estate deal cobbled together that copped Obama a decent piece of southside Chicago property. Thanks to Asst US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald [whose PDF file documents in the BOARD GAMES trial will be entered at the conclusion of this post],we know better.
Obamas relationship with Rezko extends back over a decade to letters released by the Chicago Tribune written by state Sen. Barack Obama on October 27,1998 on behalf of a ''Mr.Rezko''to the mayors office backing a REZMAR plan to build a senior complex in the Chicago southside whereby Obama and Sen.Emil Jones secured 14 million dollars for the REZMAR end of the project.[which has been criticized since as a ''slum''with crime, heating, plumbing, and other housing problems due to shoddy construction].
Rezko would go on to direct hundreds of thousands of dollars into the Obama warchest. Further, that Obamas Rezko associate,Mr.Allison Davis, who was a portion of the illegal siphoning of monies into the Obama campaign, has been tabbed on a short list by Obama to become Secretary of HUD upon confirmation by an expectant Democrat congress upon his entering the White House, and that Mayor Richard Daley ,who was personally responsible for the directing of over 100 million dollars in affirmative action contracts to the Mafia-connected Duff family may be chosen to helm Obamas ''White House Center for Urban Affairs''. Obviously,Democrat governor Blagojevichs responsibility to get to the bottom of any relationship Obama may have had with other members of the Rezko cartel has been neutralized because the governor is himself a suspect, necceitating a federal investigation. Yet outside of Chicago, few,if any people, even know about this ongoing investigation which has had Rezko now meeting with federal authorities to cop what many in the press are saying will be a deal. If Rezko brings down Blagojevich and Jones, then Obama will be crushed in the fallout.

Wow, I just watched a You Tube video in which she states "Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, have become too big and expensive for the tax payers to continue funding." Earth to Sara, these are private lending institutions. Poor John NoMaverick has a look on his face thats priceless, but he claps and the audience cheers Sara, Sara, Sara.

    Man this is becoming retarded.

  • Posted By: Dalexa21@fau.edu @ 09/08/2008 1:38:01 PM

Palin was for this investigation before she was against it.
She was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it.
She was for earmarks before she was against them.
She was the head of Ted Steven's keep-out-of-jail-for-unethical-practices 527 before she supposedly railed against unethical practices in government.

    Reformer?

It sounds to me (an authentic Republican) that Palin is represents the "same as usual" politics that have dominated our political discourse for some 40 plus years.

I will not aid and abed theologian and neoconservative agendas by voting for McCain/Palin. I will not assist in the destruction of the Republican party's brand and or our beautiful nation.

    PS
Even though abortion is wrong, God gave humans free will to make their own decisions; He gave us free will to save our own souls. McCain (has flip-flopped) and Palin would enlarge the government (not very Republican in theory) in order to take away a right (free will) that God endowed into every one of us. We must not allow this to pass!

    • Posted By: jh35180 @ 09/08/2008 5:36:14 PM

You talk about McCain flip-flopping. What about Obama? Obama flip flops more than a smelly pair of sandals. Why? Because our community organizer, inspirational speaker, etc. really offers nothing concrete.

  • Posted By: MissKittyW @ 09/08/2008 11:47:36 AM

Palin is the anti woman, all this hype by the republicans to turn her into a worthy VP candidate - I don't believe it for one moment, she is to limited in her views and her experience. She lacks vision and scope she would send our country back to the dark ages, not that Bush hasn't already done that. McCain chooses a pretty woman to distract from the fact he's an old outdated politician with nothing to offer America. Obama should have chosen Hillary, Palin cannot compare to that brilliant former first lady and Senator. I would never support Palin her views reflect the ignorance of the undereducated and inexperienced! America needs genius to pull us out of the personal vendetta war of the Bush clan, and restore our dignity and respect in the world and at home. Obama is a LEADER this is obvious, and he gets my vote as a woman, and a Texan.

    • Posted By: jh35180 @ 09/08/2008 5:33:26 PM

Obama, a leader? That is laughable

  • Posted By: good conscience @ 09/08/2008 12:34:21 PM

I have a couple of concerns over the Palin matter. One, is there anyone naive enough to think that if Barack had a daughter of child-bearing age and she became pregnant, would not the "religious right" launch a frenzied campaign of judgement and vilification, and concentrated character assassination? But because Palin is a repub, Brystol's pregnancy is suddenly "a private family matter" and no one better dare to inferfere or comment on it.
I think if everyone would stop and refect for just a moment on the fact that if this extremely unqualified person is handed the presidency in the event that anything happened to McPain the result would be so disastrous that it's now incomprehensible. Just compare this woman with Nancy Polosi, third in line for the presidency - as Gloria Steinem said over the weekend, the only thing the two have in common is one chromosome. Wake up, people! And she's scared of Harry Potter to boot? What a glorious compliment to the talent of Rowling!

I agree with you good conscience. If another minority especially a black person which Obama is partially one had this same problem the repubs would have had a major hissy-fit now because this white woman is a repub vp pick her family is doing the right thing ...Talk about a double standard!!!!!

      • Posted By: jh35180 @ 09/08/2008 5:32:13 PM

It sounds as if you both narrow minded whiners. If Obama were in the same predicament as Palin, many conservatives would not make an issue of it. But left wing whiners such as the two of you like to assume that all conservatives are the same. Did it ever occur to either of you that many of us not voting on Obama based on the merits (or lack thereof in Obama's case) of his campaign. Why don't the two of you do something that many liberals do not do: open your mind?

  • Posted By: LindseyW @ 09/08/2008 5:22:51 PM

There is obviously something wrong with what Sarah Palin did or she would not be trying to hamper the investigation and unwilling to turn over the e-mail. She is like Bush already always hiding something and thinking she is above the law. When the guy tasered his son, the kid asked him to do it cause he wanted to see what it felt like that's what these loonies do who get a thrill out of killing defenseless animals etc. The kid got tasered when he was 10, but Palin did nothing about it/didn't report it until YEARS later when the sister and brother in law were getting a divorce. She must not have been that concerned about the tasering incident and anyway she has a downs syndrome baby of her own to worry about as well as a 17 year old daughter who knows how to have sex but wasn't allowed to be taught about birth control.

She's hiding something. I can't think of any other VP pick under investigations. BushCheney rule has made Americans numb to any respect for the law.

I found Senator McCain's personal account of his POW experiance both moving and inspiring. However, a bit scary as well. I wonder, should he get his hands on the military, if he's planning to put many of our young men and women through the same ordeals.

I'm running for president to keep the country I love safe, and prevent other families from risking their loved ones in war as my family has. I will draw on all my experience with the world and its leaders, and all the tools at our disposal ??? diplomatic, economic, military and the power of our ideals ??? to build the foundations for a stable and enduring peace.

Actually the opposite is true. As a man in my late 30s who recently got married and runs a business with 3 employees and who makes over half a million a year, last year $330,000 and a business that is rapidly growing, who eats out almost every night and plays golf a few times a week and who drives the most amazing BMW 335 convertible, I'm the HAPPIEST MAN on the earth! NOW!

But not when Obama gets in and he explodes taxes, his WELFARE policies explode the deficit and we end up doing all of his racist programs. He's going to kill 3 to 5 million jobs and ruin America. Luckily his novelty is wearing off!

  • Posted By: lurkswithin @ 09/08/2008 4:16:49 PM

Palin did exactly what any other concerned individual would do under the .circumstances. She was asked if there should be anything the security agents should need to know and she told them about that nutcase (trying to taser his own 10 year old child) Wooten. When they saw that nothing was being done she questioned why.....which I and anyone else would want to know concerning a threat to their family. Wooten has all ready shown a proneness to plan to violate the laws he had sworn to protect by his poaching the moose out of season.. This guy was a loose canon and his continuous actions should have been enough to get him removed as a state trooper....I know it would have in my state.

  • Posted By: Yes! We ALL Can @ 09/08/2008 3:04:47 AM

WOW! Cowardly Palin finally agrees to an inteview - although she had to get permission from Steve Schmidt who runs the McCain campaign. I guess that 60 day media ban strategy didn't quite work out!! Seems like pressure from voters, media and all other interested partie would like to hear her stance on her extremist views - that's if Charlie Gibson (softy for the republicans) will ask the tough questions he needs to ask! Remember the primary debates where Charles and George questioned Barack about tabloid stories?! We expect no less than that same performance from you Charlie!! You don't want to be accused of media bias do you?

Palin's first instinct to cower from all press interviews, as I wrote earlier, still provides a revealing look into her character:

She talks tough about reporters, but can't face them; she talks up government ethics, but won't answer an investigation under oath; she raves about her own pit-bull image on stage, but betrays a cowardice under actual pressure. In some ways, she is living out the very caricature that she drew of Obama last week -- all talk, no action -- coupled with the smug attitude of her predecessor, the sarcastic swagger and faux-populism of George W. Bush.

    • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 09/08/2008 4:02:50 PM

You will recall that it took Obama more than two years to sit down with the conservative Bill O'Reilly on FOX. Does this make him ''cowardly''for waiting for so long,or ''brave''to do it at all?

  • Posted By: lurkswithin @ 09/08/2008 4:00:43 PM

I see nothing wrong here. They were asked if they should have any concerns for themselves or their family and pointed out that this nutcase Wootin may be a possible threat to their family. Nothing that no one else wouldn't have done....And I would damn sure be wanting to know what was happening to the investigation if it was happening to me and my gamily.
Tasering or attempting to taser his own 10 year old son shows this guy is a loose cannon and shouldn't be allowed to be in law enforcement.....not to say that he broke the law with a weopon in the killing of an out of season moose...which poaching is most definately a predetermined act.

Watergate, Keating 5, now troopergate, what is with Republicans and corruption? I guess it's in their genes.

    • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 09/08/2008 3:56:03 PM

You could be right, but the mayor of Detroit is a Democrat, not a Republican. He will soon be leaving for jail. Of the KEATING-5,four were Democrats. House Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel is under federal investigation for failure to pay taxes on properties that he owned for over a decade. This man is a Democrat. Operation BOARD GAMES focuses on several Democrats, including state Senator and Obama mentor Emil Jones,Mayor Daley, Governor Bladjevich and several smaller fry who all contributed to Obamas campaign with the biggest fish,Rezko, already having been sentanced and is suspected by the Chicago Tribune in cooperating with federal investigators which will bring further indictments for fraud and corruption.
