I've got a double feeling about this whole situation:

On one hand, I like the mobile devices Apple offers. I love my iPhone (by far the best phone I've ever had) and my iPod Classic. They're cool, beautifull, and efficient devices that do what I want them to do and they do it well.

On the other hand, I've worked with an iMac and a Powerbook before and I hated it. Why? Because it's waaaay too constrictive! This goes for hardware as well as software: I want to be able to decide what I put on my machine, because I paid my hard-earned cash for it and feels like a slap in the face when I don't even have total freedom to do as I please with it!

Bottom line (and I'm sure everyone has heard this before): Apple is great if you want a device that works exactly like it should and does what it's supposed to do, while looking good.
However, if you want a machine / device that allows freedom and performs in a matter that you want it to, Apple definately isn't your thing.

What's up with trashing Apple, now that it's become such a great success story? I can still remember the days when Apple had less than a 3% share of the personal computer market. I have owned Macintosh computers for 15 years, now. And every time I use my Mac, it's a joyous experience. I also own an iPod and I love it! Steve Jobs is a genius and has made a tremendous contribution to our digital world. You know you're doing something right when the knives come out of the woodwork! Rock on, Apple!

I've had many computers since the 1st personal computers came out in 1977. I've owned the earliest Commodore PET and Radio Shack Tandy and used the Apple 1, and many other PC's since then to this day. I've seen how the founders of Apple, Steve Jobs and Steven Wozniak, stole many technologies such as icons and the mouse, etc, from other companies, claiming they developed these and other technologies. Lies lies. They claimed so many lies, sucking proud affluent (rich) people into believing that their way-overpriced boxes were something special and better, when they really weren't. The 2 Steves were the greediest, most monopolistic liars on the planet. Jobs is still up to their old tricks and lies, today.
