Many of us our here in America, real Americans that care about truth. Are very sick of these selacious one sided articles. all marching to the montra of a little truth and lots of spin, or better called lies. This is an attempt to invalidate any good that can come out of this article. Especially the statements about her relighious faith. This type of religious faith does not teach you to value self above others but to be humble and serve others. I have heard the media in so many avenues really not help their cause to force everyone to only except Barrack Obama's views. It is amazing that every election most of the media basically campaigns for the democrats. This time it will not work, it is blatently obvious that the real party of diversity and equal rights is not the democratic party, but it is the republican party. So many in the media and so called womans movements have acting in ways they preach as wrong. America will wake up to the deciet and I think many on the left are afraid their house of cards will come tumbling down, becasue a wind is blowing and it is the real wind of change , the real wind of truth. The left is the side that is conceited and self serving and thinks it is far above more enlightened than the rest. Like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming car. The left is so afraid and angry that someone with principle, a working woman who apeals to more than you know will expose the inadequacy and self serving lack of principle on the left. in November we will elect John McCain and Sarah Palin to the highest office in the land, and it does not matter how much you try to destroy her and her family . Understand the difference between ambition for self and willingness to serve others. In closing for now, becasue much more can be said , just to let the left know my wife has been a life long democrat and so has her mother and they are both voting for John McCain in November and so are many others that have never voted anything other than democratic. Why because they are waking up to the lies . Be afraid be very afraid, Obama will loose in November , and biden will help him loose.

Wow, you talk about real Americans. Nice. How come Sarah Palin was a member of the AIP. They don't even want to be a part of America. Explain that to me. Everybody avoids the subject, but the facts are their. She did not want to be an American. Now you want to call her a real American leader. I think I will be voting Democrat. Funny that McCain said in his cabinet, he will only hire the richest to help run the country. That way they can only be paid one dollar. The problem is, these rich people are also his lobbyist. And you call McCain a man who is ready to help the working Americans.

Spouting more lies. Neither she nor Mr. Palin were ever members of the AIP. You are behind the times. The DNC spread the rumor and have had to backtrack. It is just another Hussein LIE.

        NOBAMA!!!

Nope Nope Nope! you are wrong Todd Palin was a registered member until around 2002. Look it up for yourself.

She wasn't, but her husband was. It has been documented. And she did attend events sponsored by AIP, and has admitted (before she became a candidate and denied it) that she admires their leaders and the group's philosophy. You can ignore the facts if it makes you feel more comfortable with yourself, but to the rest of us, it's just another example of the GOP playing "see no evil, hear no evil...".

why do the rest of us have to be subjected to the the inferiority complex of middle americans and religious intolerants? thank god that this will be the last election in which the opinions of those stuck in a 1950's mindset will matter so much.

    • Posted By: jfff7773 @ 09/07/2008 7:14:45 PM

make no mistake, this election won't be close. all these fake snap polls have served to give false hope to a small minority of backward thinkers who still say stuff like ,us "real americans". we're all americans, sillypants. just 'cause you're white doesn't place you above anyone in the patriotism hierarchy.

    • Posted By: labman57 @ 09/07/2008 12:38:18 PM

It it rather trite to constantly proclaim that everyone who supports your point of view is a "real American" and a "patriot", whereas anyone who opposed your point of view is a spawn of satan or something equally vile. This is America, where opposing point of views are not only permissible, but they are cherished and desired. You want a country in which only your ideas, beliefs, and positions are regarded as valid and true? Try People's Republic of China, the former Soviet Union, or Nazi Germany.

What is wrong with you, SEA Observer? Why are you trying so hard to discredit Obama with falseholds you can make up right out of your brain? The way you quote people and the lack of sources demonstrates either youre a RACIST bent on discrediting Obama on the basis of race, or you simply have very strong principles (money, etc) that are at odds with the Democratic party. If the latter is true, then you need to stop feeding readers trash and always provide sources (from conservatives, liberal and other bipartisan sources).
careerdaytrader and you seem to be a typical wealth Americans not representing the ordinary American. If you are not like careerdaytrader, then either religious beliefs or hatred for democracy may be compelling you to go so far to try to discredit Obama without providing factual sources.

Take the teleprompter away from Obama and he is just another bumbling politician. He is a fairy tale. I am from Chicago. It is amazing how this guy has been repackaged. Change? When has he ever changed anything? He has never stood up to anything except the "Infant Born Alive Act". Even his fellow extreme allies opposed this bill. It's like THe Wizard of OZ. and David Axlerod is pulling the levers behind the curtain.

He is an empty suit. Do you see him bumble when he does not have a teleprompter in front of him. His reference to change is laughable. He is a go along get along south side of Chicago hack. When did he ever stand up to anything? Oh yea, I forgot. He stood up and opposed "The infant Born Alive Act". Not even his other hard left democratic allies opposed this. He is a fairy tail.

The Bush familiy to this day, have a Strong Family & Friends Relationship.

The CIA Trained Osama Bin Laden and The Bush Administration Gathered and Allowed the Bin Laden Family members safe Flight out of the Country via FBI ESCORT and Plane Flight, duting a No-Fly Period, days after (911) !!

Oil, Family and Friends...Friends, Money and Oil Ties Speak Loudly...Huh
    ------------------------

The Wall Street Journal quietly reported on September 27, 2001 that the Bin Laden family had invested with The Carlyle Group, a merchant bank that boasts several Reagan-era former government figures including George Bush Sr. among its management. The story received some attention from the alternative media, but even the fact that George W. Bush sat on the firm's board for four years barely raised eyebrows in the mainstream media or among the public.

In fact, the Journal's revelation was the tip of the iceberg. Growing out of their roots in the oil business, the interests, ambitions, and achievements of Bushes, the Bin Ladens, and most importantly the Saudi royal family have been intertwined for a quarter century. What follows is The Dubya Report's brief chronicling of that history.

Don't Compare that College Hopper Sarah Palin (6 Colleges In All) whose Grades Will Not be Released to the Public, WITHOUT HER CONSENT.

Sarah Palin who carries a Degree in (Journalism) which has nothing to do with LAW, Political Science, Economics, National Law or International Law Or International Business or Economics !!

The Chick does not meet the Grade, You'll have McCain who Graduated at the Bottom of his Naval Academy & Sarah Palin, with a Questionable Educational History !!!
    --------------------------------

John McCain: Graduated at the Very Bottom of his Naval Class

Sarah Palin: Graduated after 6 College Jumps, with No Access to her Records, at all.

This would be the Most Under-Educated President & Vice President in USA History !!!

Beyond Any Shadow of Doubt !!!

You are a bizarre, Kool Aid drinking wealthy American whose values and economic well being is shared only by a very few percentage of people in America. If you think it is easy to become rich in America, maybe you thought so by ways of corruption like the CEO stuffing their pockets while watching hard working americans get laid off and their jobs outsourced. I think you don't care much about the plight of ordinary Americans because you are happy with your wealth that you probably gained with Bush's help, not on your own.

    AlaskaNomics:101 ...Palin Lies...A LOT !!!

Sarah Palin thinks she is a better American than you because she comes from a small town and a superior human being because she isn't a journalist and has never lived in Washington and likes to watch her kids play hockey. Although Palin praised John McCain in her acceptance speech as a man who puts the good of his country ahead of partisan politics, McCain pretty much proved the opposite with his selection of a running mate whose main asset is her ability to reignite the culture wars. So maybe Governor Palin does represent everything that is good and fine about America, as she herself maintains. But spare us, please, any talk about how she is a tough fiscal conservative.
    -----------------

Palin has continued to repeat the already exposed lie that she said "No, thanks" to the famous "bridge to nowhere" (McCain's favorite example of wasteful federal spending). In fact, she said "Yes, please" until the project became a symbol and political albatross.

Back to reality. Of the 50 states, Alaska ranks No. 1 in taxes per resident and No. 1 in spending per resident. Its tax burden per resident is 2 1/2 times the national average; its spending, more than double. The trick is that Alaska's government spends money on its own citizens and taxes the rest of us to pay for it. Although Palin, like McCain, talks about liberating ourselves from dependence on foreign oil, there is no evidence that being dependent on Alaskan oil would be any more pleasant to the pocketbook.

Alaska is, in essence, an adjunct member of OPEC. It has four different taxes on oil, which produce more than 89% of the state's unrestricted revenue. On average, three-quarters of the value of a barrel of oil is taken by the state government before that oil is permitted to leave the state. Alaska residents each get a yearly check for about $2,000 from oil revenues, plus an additional $1,200 pushed through by Palin last year to take advantage of rising oil prices. Any sympathy the governor of Alaska expresses for folks in the lower 48 who are suffering from high gas prices or can't afford to heat their homes is strictly crocodile tears.

As if it couldn't support itself, Alaska also ranks No. 1, year after year, in money it sucks in from Washington. In 2005 (the most recent figures), according to the Tax Foundation, Alaska ranked 18th in federal taxes paid per resident ($5,434) but first in federal spending received per resident ($13,950). Its ratio of federal spending received to federal taxes paid ranks third among the 50 states, and in the absolute amount it receives from Washington over and above the amount it sends to Washington, Alaska ranks No. 1.

There simply can be no doubt that the Republicans are blatantly and self-servingly boldly dishonest, simply put, just full of the BS. They are not the party they were sixteen and more years ago when they sincerely advocated small government, financial responsibility, to only do for the people what they couldn???t do for themselves and striving to be honest (the conservative values). They still use the word ???conservative??? today but it is just a word they use for emotional attachment and to hide behind, they only give lip service to the values it represents. The last eight years fully substantiates all of that as it is evident that they simply pursue their private agenda and continually lie without any hesitation to misrepresent, manipulate, camouflage, rationalize and excuse their actions. And now, they offer us a 72 year old candidate who is deteriorating and who out of desperation and irresponsibility chose a running mate who is aggressively bazaar, who is extreme in everything, who lies repeatedly without conscience, whose touch with reality is questionable and who is inexperienced in diplomacy, foreign policy, national interests and more; simply a person who is only an attack dog, as she herself says, ???a pit bull with lipstick???. Can you imagine Sarah Palin as president? Even as Vice President she would be a total embarrassment. It is very important that we really recognize their consistent dishonesty and their arrogant efforts to use deception to manipulate public opinion, because behind all of the lies, all they offer is more of the same Bush-Cheney placating of Special Interests. The only real change they will provide is downright scary!

One more point. There are several people who make comments here, who can easily be identified by their persistence, their dishonesty, their strong bias and their extreme statements, who simply have connection, being volunteer/staff, with the Republicans and are assigned to do what they are doing. It is consistent with everything else the Republicans are doing to deceive the public. The garbage they persistently put out and refer people to should further identify them and should be understood as attempts to mislead and manipulate. It is simply as with everything else, they do it with boldness and without any conscience. Just because things are offered on the internet doesn???t make them true; we need to be careful what and who we trust and to be logical, even cynical and rational and objective ourselves. It is important to get it right this time!
