McCain's judgement should be seriously questioned! He made a terrible mistake in picking Plain. Obvious fact: in the wake of the government taking over Fannie Mae and Freedie Mac - here's what Sarah Palin had to say below. Sarah Palin is seriously under-qualified for a job that McCain (should he win - which I don't see it happening) that she has ABSOULTELY NO KNOWLEDGE of national or foreign policy and lacks the understanding for a wide array of issues right now!! Palin is not ready to be VP for anybody!!
Gov. Sarah Palin made her first potentially major gaffe during her time on the national scene while discussing the developments of the perilous housing market this past weekend.

Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, as McClatchy reported, "aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization."

Economists and analysts pounced on the misstatement, saying it demonstrated a lack of understanding about one of the key economic issues likely to face the next administration.

"You would like to think that someone who is going to be vice president and conceivable president would know what Fannie and Freddie do," said Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. "These are huge institutions and they are absolutely central to our country's mortgage debt. To not have a clue what they do doesn't speak well for her, I'd say."
Even conservative analysts acknowledged that the statement simply did not hold true.

If McCain and Palin win in the general election, as I believe they will, the depths of American stupidity will have shown themselves to be plumbless. McCain may not survive his term in office and we will have a president that everyone adores because she's a woman, she's cute, she kills moose, and she gives a good, rabble-rousing, insulting, falsehood-filled speech. We will have proven that we prefer presidents who are dumb, corrupt liars. That's the government we deserve.

If your assertions were correct...Hussein would win in a landslide....He DID choose Biden...He DID try to legislate failure in Iraq...He HAS flipped on most major issues (now on taxes)... he DID think his speech to Germany was a good idea...He DID attend Trinity Church of Hell...He DID deal with Rezko...He DID run around with Willy Ayers...I could go on...BUT...his lack of judgement is astonishing.

So...if being DUMB is an asset...Hussein wins hands down.

Cannot believe the people who are swayed by this incompetent, unqualified, dishonorable pair of
politicians. Mccain. whose campaign has been POW, attacks, distortions, lies and fraud.
And, cannot believe the press is not exposing them. Reading different articles on Palin,
of course not main stream media, is frightening.
Why are they not showing films of sermons in HER church??
Why are they not telling us the truth about her??
Why has no one brought out the criminal hunting laws she supports and
    rewards??
Why have we not been told about her firing of anyone who does not agree
    with her??
Why do they not bring out her trying to ban books, and then trying to
fire the librarian who would not obey??
Why do they tell us about her inauguration being sponsored by big oil??
There are so many horrible facts about her out there, yet the media/ap
are ignoring them. Well, they have given Mccain a free ride so looks
like it is going to be business as usual
We the voters are intelligent enough to prove them wrong.

You may be intelligent but your ideology is making you illogical and blind as a bat! The press gave Obama a free ride, did you not notice that? The press practically make Obama president before the people vote, did you not notice that also? The press is making you think and talk just like them! is that revelation enough to make you think and look at your post again and see how ridiculous it is?

If you don't like lying politician, please retake a look at Obama! The guy outright lied & covered up his past. Then sleek enough to label all who dare questioning him "racist".

I would like to address the fact that the McCain-Palin supporters seem to be under the delusion that they are going to overturn Roe v. Wade when they are elected....George Bush had 8 years to make meaningful abortion reforms with a Republican majority congress for 6 years and conservative Supreme Court apointees in his corner.....they will NEVER overturn the aboriton laws....it is only a way for them to rally your anger and get you to vote for them.....the politics of fear....Mrs. Palin is supposedly for abstinence but ever herself according ot this article had sex before marriage...."she eloped and EIGHT months later had her first child"...also...she has a special needs child and claimed in her speech that Americans with special needs children had an ally in her.....this year and through to 2009 she slashed the Alaskan Special Needs Education budget by 62%......in other words she is more of the same.....she is as hypocritical as they come....

This is one in a list of articles I have read from Newsweek where there is a subtle (or not so subtle) slant in favor of Obama. Ok, Newsweek, we know what side you are on, so now can you do something totally radical and report the news?? It would be a refreshing change to hear an unbiased story (maybe a detailed article on what Biden believes), so you actually HELP voters get informed. You might find that voters are smarter than you give them credit and able to make up their own minds.

Todd Palin Was Registered Member of Alaska Independence Party Until 2002
    By Kate Klonick - September 2, 2008, 3:25PM
The McCain camp today disputed rumors that presumptive vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was ever registered with the secessionist Alaska Independence Party by releasing years of voter registration history . . . but it looks like that doesn't apply to her husband.

This afternoon, the director of Division of Elections in Alaska, Gail Fenumiai, told TPMmuckraker that Todd Palin registered in October 1995 to the Alaska Independence Party, a radical group that advocates for Alaskan secession from the United States.

Besides a short period of a few months in 2000 when he changed his registration to undeclared, Todd Palin remained a registered member of AIP until July 2002 when he registered again as an undeclared voter.

Who knows...maybe he thought..."America is a downright mean country" OR "For the first time in his life...he was proud of his country"...Seems I've heard that before somewhere...I think the terms "whitey" and AmeriKKKa were also mentioned.

        HR,

Thank you for making my point. Where is all the anger and outrage that was expressed over Obama's 20 year relationship with Rev. Wright. This is Palin's husband so do not believe for one moment that she was not involved with this group.

Understand my personal opinion is WGAF! about Palin or Wright, but the Hypocricy of the Republicans regarding this matter should be astonishing, unfortunately it is NOT!

Obama should have chosen Hillary as his running mate (Better still she should have been at the top of the ticket). He should not have listened to Nancy Pelosi, Caroline Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Daschle, Bradley et al... All of them were insecure and they were all feeling inadequate about the votes Hillary was bringing in - 18 million. You build from a position of strength. Hillary was strong and she was a fighter. She would have made the ticket strong.
Biden is gone from the radar. This is going to be a long slog. I am afraid that Obama might lose. This was going to be a Democratic year. This is depressing. We are going to be saddled with McCain / Palin for 4 years (at least).

All the obamamohammeds are upset, that their "messiah" is being mocked...for being a community organizer. Well, if the shoe fits...

Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors' lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Hussein's brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.

What deserves derision is "community organizing" that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.

And Jesus was not a community organizer. He is the Messiah......Hussein Obama IS NOT.

Real Southern: I am happy to hear you are looking deeper than the fact that Obama is black. It really bothers me when people make this election all about race. I like how you restated my comment saying that I said "only gays and black would vote for him". You have forgotten about the ones who are pro-abortion. This is the reason I am voting for McCain-Palin.

  • Posted By: Real Southern @ 09/08/2008 1:42:56 PM

To jmd8888 I'm African American and yes I'm voting for Obama. But guess what? It wasn't until after the Iowa Primary when Blacks started swaying towards Obama. It's about the issues. And his issues are align with the troubles this country is facing. Why don't you be real with reality on the reason why you're voting for McCain-Palin. You can't turn a blind eye to what damage the Republicans have done within the past eight years. And also, gays and blacks were not the only ones that voted for Obama - check the facts! Oh, I'm sorry - you're voting for McCain. Go figure.

This is sooo fuuunnny I had to post it again..............

A verbal slip by Barack Obama, in which he made a reference to "my Muslim faith," unleashed a barrage of Internet attacks Sunday.

The Democratic presidential candidate appeared on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos, which aired Sunday morning.

Obama was...ironically...addressing rumors that he is Muslim. He suggested that Republican rival John McCain was behind them, according to ABC News.

Obama was reminded that McCain denied spreading the rumors.

"You're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about MY MUSLIM FAITH," Obama said, before being corrected by Stephanopoulos. OOPs

Obama pointed the finger at "the Republican camp."

The quote became a magnet for comments on the YouTube.com video site and by bloggers as the day went on. Some seized on it as confirmation of their suspicions

A mohammed in the White House??? GOD forbid...and HE has.

    Careerdaytrader:
Your comments are flatly inflammatory, ignorant, self-righteous, and demosntrative of a desire for America to be forcefully covnerted into hypocritical cnservative values that are worse than the values of Hillary Clinton. Clinton earned her way up the political ladder not through sexual bribery, you ignorant fool, but through her determined spirit and some manipulative but good strategies. And the reason Obama didn't pick her as VP is, as it seems, because she didn't want to be asked about Bill's foundation's donors. That is it.
Stop trying to incite hatred and ignorance.

    • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 09/08/2008 1:18:03 PM

LOL Hillary slept her way to the top. Not only did she screw Bill to get her Senate seat she's also been rumored to give sexual favors to many men AND women in the Senate.

It's not just a rumor that she's a lesbian. Lesbian feminists are PISSED that a straight gal like Palin is likely to get the power that their gal Hillary SHOULD have had.

Hillary is an idiot equal in size to Obama. Lawyers who have NEVER created jobs in their own lives yet say they can as President. Total BS.
