For two straight weeks the media has done nothing but try to trash Sarah Palin! I have yet to see a single positive story about this woman from the mainstream media. They have branded her a liar who abuses power....yet she enjoys an 80% approval rating in Alaska as governer? Is this because she is a power abusing liar? There is no way possible that it could be made more obvious that the media has annointed Obama as our next president.

Yet as a reward for their efforts of trashing Sarah Palin for the past two weeks, McCain has erased Obama's 8 pt lead and now has a 10 pt lead among likely voters himself. An 18 pt swing in the past two weeks! It appears likely that as the media continues to attack Sarah Palin, republicans should enjoy a landslide victory in november.

So my message to the media....continue your one sided coverage of the election......and see who the American people think the real liar is.....Sarah Palin?....or Democrats and their willing media allies?

The New York Post endorsed McCain/Palin (article below) - well written & worth reading....

THE Post today enthusiastically urges the election of Sen. John S. McCain as the 44th president of the United States.

McCain's lifelong record of service to America, his battle-tested courage, unshakeable devotion to principle and clear grasp of the dangers and opportunities now facing the nation stand in dramatic contrast to the tissue-paper-thin résumé of his Democratic opponent, freshman Sen. Barack Obama.

McCain has been in Washington for many years now, but he is not of Washington. He knows where the levers of power are located - and how to manipulate them - but he is not controlled by them.

McCain's selection of the charming, but rock-solid, outsider Sarah Palin as his running mate underscores the point.

    Neither plays well with others.

And this is an unalloyed asset at a time when special interests - lobbyists, lawyers and organized labor chief among them - wield enormous influence in the nation's capital.

McCain's Democratic opponents, Obama and Sen. Joseph Biden, lead a party constructed of special interests - public-employee unionists in particular.

There are many reasons to support the McCain-Palin ticket. Here are but a few:

    * National security: The differences between McCain and Obama are especially stark.

McCain says 9/11 represented a two-decade "failure . . . to respond to . . . a [growing] global terror network." He understood that Iraq is a critical front in the war on terror - and he urged perseverance even in the dark days that preceded the success of "the surge."

Obama backed policies that would have abandoned Iraq to its fate, he bitterly opposed the surge, and once insisted that US forces invade Pakistan in search of Osama bin Laden - seemingly without regard for the potential consequences of attacking a nuclear-armed nation, ally or not.

Regarding a nuclear Iran, McCain has pushed for the strongest possible international sanctions and diplomatic pressure. Obama opposes sanctions.

And, when Russia invaded the former Soviet republic of Georgia, threatening a return to the Cold War, McCain reacted with stern disapprobation: "We must remind Russia's leaders that the benefits they enjoy from being part of the civilized world require their respect for the values, stability and peace of that world."

    • Posted By: SEA Observer @ 09/08/2008 9:35:51 AM

New York Post endorsement of McCain/Palin, Part 2

Obama called for UN action - unaware, apparently, that Russia's Security Council veto would have prevented any.

      * Taxes: McCain knows that when government absorbs ever-larger shares of national income, the economy suffers.

High tax rates diminish investment, killing jobs and stunting growth.

And while Obama promises tax cuts for "95 percent" of Americans, what he actually is proposing is some $650 billion in tax-credit-driven hikes in entitlement and other spending, to be paid for with heavier imposts across the board, but especially on investment - like a sharply higher capital-gains tax.

This is bad news for the millions of ordinary Americans who own stocks, either personally or through pension funds or who plan someday to sell their homes or other real property.

McCain, wisely, vows to keep capital-gains taxes at 15 percent and to keep the Bush-era tax cuts in place - understanding that new growth will boost revenue, and promising to make up the rest with spending restraint.

And he's called for a one-year freeze on most discretionary spending and an end to pork-barrel giveaways.

      * Trade: "I object when Senator Obama and others preach the false virtues of economic isolationism," says McCain - noting that "globalization is an opportunity" for US workers. He adds that while emerging economies like those of China and India are worrisome, the answer is competition informed by education and innovation - not protectionism.

      * Energy: On the economic issue most vexing Americans today - energy prices - McCain is aggressive

He is a strong convert to offshore drilling: "We have trillions of dollars' worth of oil and gas reserves in the US at a time we are exporting hundreds of billions of dollars a year overseas to buy energy."

He also strongly backs nuclear power - a carbon-free form of energy that America can produce relatively cheaply.

Obama, meanwhile, hews to the Democratic Party line on energy: no nukes, no drilling and no comprehension of the consequences of such policies.

None of this implies an iota of disrespect toward Obama. It took a formidable candidacy to defeat Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton - a candidacy, by the way, which we strongly supported earlier this year.

And the intelligence, the organizational skills and the ability to communicate that Obama demonstrated from the beginning dramatically underscore the history that is being made by the first African-American to head a major-party presidential ticket.

He should be around for a long time, and we hope that he is.

In the end, though, sound security, economic and energy policies - plus allegiance to principle - are critical to keeping America safe and strong.

On all counts, John McCain and Sarah Palin understand this - and that's why we're in their corner to the finish.

All the obamamohammeds are upset, that their "messiah" is being mocked...for being a community organizer. Well, if the shoe fits...

Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors' lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Hussein's brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.

What deserves derision is "community organizing" that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.

And Jesus was not a community organizer. He is the Messiah......Hussein Obama IS NOT.

HolyRoller: you are one scared, fearful, misguided chick. This is why the Republican convention had messages in 4 word simple sentences. Look, Bush and the Republican Congress have been a spending machine. Now we're spending billions to bail out Freddie/Fannie, after Repubs de-regulated. Taxes are going to get raised. This isn't all for free. Get over it. McCain's going to raise taxes too, unless he irresponsibly pushes off the issue to your grandchildren. That has been the Republican way - but Americans will pay for this senseless and reckless spending of Bush, now or later. Don't blame Obama. Clinton had a balanced budget.

A verbal slip by Barack Obama, in which he made a reference to "my Muslim faith," unleashed a barrage of Internet attacks Sunday.

The Democratic presidential candidate appeared on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos, which aired Sunday morning.

Obama was...ironically...addressing rumors that he is Muslim. He suggested that Republican rival John McCain was behind them, according to ABC News.

Obama was reminded that McCain denied spreading the rumors.

"You're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about MY MUSLIM FAITH," Obama said, before being corrected by Stephanopoulos. OOPs

Obama pointed the finger at "the Republican camp."

The quote became a magnet for comments on the YouTube.com video site and by bloggers as the day went on. Some seized on it as confirmation of their suspicions

This is a serious question: Someone explain to me how Palin is pro-life when it comes to fetuses but then is for capital punishment? I could respect this whole pro-life position a bit more if the proponents of it were taking actions supporting all life and across the board. Otherwise it seems so hypocritical to me. It seems they narrowly focus on fetuses and fail to do anything to further or preserve life in other areas. For instance, doing a dance when AIDS began killing gays and a total lack of involvement in inner city gangs and violence or poverty. I just read that Cindy McCain is pro-choice btw. Not sure if that is true. Gotta respect a woman who has enough balls to wear a $315,000 outfit (estimated by Vanity Fair) and jewelry on the first night of the convention when the entire party is trying to pretend the McCains are the everyman and can relate to the masses. That was hysterical.

After rethinking what you said, did you mean fetus that she is against aborting *what I first thought you were saying) or are you saying she is in favor of stem cell research? If that were the case, I would say e.g. a woman who miscarriages a fetus and if that fetus could be used for its stems cells I would say why not. Guess I cant tell exactly what angle you are coming from on this.

Cindy McCain Lies when she says that Sarah Palin was Thoroughly Vetted ...

          Thats Borderline Bull-Spit !!

Keep in mind that it will Not be Mrs. Mccain that will have the Power to Overturn Roe Vs. Wade...Crazy A!! McCain will have that Dubius Dis-Honor.

Couric goes on record as saying to Cindy McCain, "Your husband believes Roe V. Wade should be Overturned"

Couric: Some, even Republicans, seemed surprised that Sen. McCain picked a running mate who opposes abortion even in the cases of rape and incest, and believes creationism should be taught in schools. And I'm just curious, do you agree with that?

McCain: What I agree with is the fact that she is a social conservative. She is a reform-minded woman. She is someone that will ??? shake Washington up, which is exactly what we want to do. We differ on many issues; we differ across the board with people. We don't have to agree on every issue.

Couric: Where do you stand on abortion?

McCain: I'm pro-life. I'm on the record as being pro-life, like my husband.

Couric: So do you oppose it even in cases of rape and incest?

          McCain: No.

Couric: So that's where you two differ in terms of your position on that.

          McCain: Uh-huh

Couric: And do you believe Roe V. Wade should be overturned?

          McCain: No. no.

Couric: No. Why not? Your husband does.

McCain: No. I don't think he does.

Couric: He believes it should be overturned. That's what he told me, and that it should go to the states.

McCain: Well, in that respect. Yes, yeah, I do. I understand what you're saying now. It's a states issue.

Couric: So, you believe it should be overturned or shouldn't be overturned.

McCain: I believe it's a states issue. That I do believe.

Couric: How do you feel about creationism? Do you think it should be taught in schools?

McCain: I think both sides should be taught in schools. I think the more children have a frame of reference and an opportunity to read and know and make better decisions and judgments when they are adults. So, I think you know I don't have any problem with education of any kind.

    • Posted By: mrzoid @ 09/07/2008 11:46:56 PM

There's little logic to it. It's the same idea in respect to abortion; battle to the bone for the fetus while its in the womb, than throw it to the wolves as far as they're concerned if the baby's born to someone who needs government money to raise it. Thou shall not kill or eye for an eye? It's easy to understand the contradictions of their views when you read the contradictions in the book. Logic? Logic is difficult, and it doesnt serve the means to the ends they desire. Its best not to spend to much time on it.

Barack Obama is not a Muslim. He is and always has been Christian. If we are going to vote lets vote on the facts. Remember people anyone can post to a blog so check the facts for yourself.
    Speaking of facts.
Palin tried to fire a librarian for not banning books. This was the Maverick McCains choice for VP. To me the choice is clear. Obama/Biden 08.

This is all lies. There was no conversion. You must not yourself be Christian or you would not publish lies. This is old rumor and it is time to move on. I am astounded that someone able to read can be so ignorant.
