Palin demonstrate political savvy and appeal to the people of Alaska in just becoming the governor alone, beating an incumbent governor that had been a senator for 22 years. Newsweek, you are vain in your attempts to sully this woman. She is honest and smart and has not the associations with corrupt people as has Obama. When Newsweek asks Obama the hard questions like his shady real estate deal, his association with William (Bill) Ayers, and his roots that are grounded in Marxism, you will have become what every news organization should be, fair, just and honest instead of unfair, crooked and marked with a personal agenda.

Newsweek is so pro-Obama ,it is joke! The have not even investigated any of the many alligation against him.
Action speaks louder than words, you have lost any integrity you may have had , your 'slip' is showing.

"McCAIN / PALIN / GOP" HYPOCRISY #1: THE "WE DON'T KNOW HIM" LIES

After 18-months on the campaign trail, detractors of Senator Obama (mainly GOP constituents), claim they "still don't know Obama" well enough to make an informed decision as to how they should vote. But within 48-hours of Sarah Palin's introduction to the GOP, Obama's critics suddenly knew everything there was to know about Sarah Palin.

How is it that the religious-right cannot know a fellow Christian brother like Obama after he endured 18-months of brutal media scrutiny and crucifixion, but suddenly 'know' Palin within 2-days of popping up on the national stage and without one public interview? James Dobson???s Evangelicals are some strange Christians!?

"McCAIN / PALIN / GOP" HYPOCRISY #2: THE "EXPERIENCE" LIES

After Senator Obama spent 18-months running a campaign that has totaled $350-million; and after 3-years in the Senate negotiating legislations for the nation and for his 12.8-million Illinois constituents; and after 8-years in Illinois State Senate fighting for the middle-class; and after 3 more years fighting as a community activist and organizer; it is genuinely hypocritical for McCain to pound Obama on the experience factor, and then turn around and install Sarah Palin with NO national and foreign experience, to be a single heartbeat from Commander-in-Chief of the United States.

This is GARGANTUAN HYPOCRISY and a RECKLESS decision that puts the nation at risk just so McCain can fulfill his long sought after ambition to be POTUS.

Did I hear right? Palin announced that her 17 year old daughter was pregnant to rebut rumors that the teen was the mother of Palin's infant son. Yeah right! She did an interview on camera while she was pregnant, and was shown patting her pregnant belly. If she wanted to quite the rumors why didn't she just have them show the interview. Because this was nothing more than a clear ploy to try to get the sympathy vote, that's why! She subjected her daughter to this publicity for personal gain and nothing else. This woman is deceitful, and I can not believe the American public would even think about supporting this woman who at sometime might have to take over for McCain. What has happened to the common sense in this country?

Since Newsweek seems to know the inner intellectual, spiritual and introspective life of Sarah Palin, perhaps they can tell me something much simpler to learn and understand. If Barack Obama has any good, lifelong friends, could they name one for me, just one? Does Jeremiah Wright count, you wish to know, eh? Well, if he's all you can come up with, I guess he'll have to do, although he's been identified as Sen. Obama's spiritual adviser and mentor, and not really his friend. I guess, though, that the company a man keeps for twenty years does tell us something about that man.

You want the "Inner Life" of Sarah Palin? Dude, it's all over 'YouTube.'

She foolishly or unknowingly let herself be filmed (Videoed? Recorded? Taped? What does one say when it's all digital?) at her church in Alaska. Just search < Palin Church >

Did you know that the War in Iraq was " ... a task from God ... ?" Does that make W. and Cheney prophets?

Newsweek is to be commended for it's very lengthy hit piece on Gov. Palin, the Republican VICE-presidential candidate. Since Newsweek reporters seem to know so much about Gov. Palin, so much, in fact, that they can opine knowingly about her inner life (her intellectual, spiritual and introspective life), I'm sure they can list for readers the lifelong, best friends of Sen. Obama. Too tough? How about naming a single one? Yes, I guess the Rev. Jeremiah Wright could count, since the company a man keeps for twenty years does tell us something about that man, friend or not.

"McCAIN / PALIN / GOP" HYPOCRISY #8: THE "ABSTINENCE-ONLY" LIES
Sarah Palin as an Ultra Extreme Religious-Right advocate uses her State office bully-pulpit to knock down public school s@x-education, while plugging her "abstinence-only" religious views to public schools. Ironically, her 17-year old daughter Bristol fails to practice the "abstinence before marriage" views her mother is trying to push in Alaska schools. Then Sarah tries to hide it with another lie by telling the school where Bristol attends that her daughter must drop out because she has Mono. Sarah continued to hold fast to the Mono lie until rumors break loose just after her VP announcement. It was only then the "abstinence-only" hypocrite came clean.

"McCAIN / PALIN / GOP" HYPOCRISY #6: THE "BRIDGE TO NOWHERE" LIES

Sarah Palin claimed on several occasions that she turned down $350-million of federal government earmarks for the "bridge to nowhere". But what actually happened is Sarah campaigned to get the money for the "bridge to nowhere", then flip-flopped after McCain voted the bridge down when she won the Governor's office. Ironically, Alaska still got the 'bridge to nowhere' funds but it was used instead to build a "highway to nowhere".

By the way, whoever did the Wikipedia 'Cut'N'Paste' for Palins speech should be commended. On the other hand, who put in McCain's line about " ... the boy whose descendants stepped off the 'Mayflower' ...?"

Now, my wife and sons' ANCESTORS stepped of the 'Mayflower,' but I don't know nuthin' 'bout no boy.

PALIN IS BUSH!!!!!! What helped propel Bush into the White House was not only some effective electoral nullification. It was his lack of a record in public office. The governorship of Texas is one of the more ceremonial of all the governorships in this country. The state legislature calls the shots. Bush came into power with less foreign policy experience than Barack Obama has now. And was "elected" to two terms. Bush had no foreign policy record to examine. He had only his father's rich friends and their stranglehold on the Republican National Committee to call upon. It proved to be more than enough.

Bush was elected and, of course, allowed a cast of neocon savages to take over from there. We knew next to nothing about Bush and even less about how Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, Ashcroft, Gonzalez, Paddington, Bolton, et al would manage the world post 9/11.

We know nothing about Sarah Palin. Nothing. Which is not anywhere near enough information to elevate her to the position whereby she would succeed McCain if he died in office or suffered a catastrophic illness. At 72 years of age and in questionable health, McCain's fitness to coach a high school football team would be in doubt, let alone the grueling reality of the presidency of this country.

John McCain is, statistically, more likely to die or suffer some catastrophic illness during his first term than any other man that has sought the office. Who would succeed him? George Bush would succeed him. Someone with no record. No experience. Only question marks. Everywhere. Forget about the fact that Palin looks a lot like a really attractive TV star I know. Underneath all the Tina, she's George. Bush!

I'm from a small town in Kansas that's actually larger than Wasilla, Alaska. The mayor positions in these small towns around here are part-time positions. Most mayors (if they're not retired) usually hold down a full-time job and have families. It's really that much of a part-time position. The decisions mostly revolve around equipment and staffing issues. They're not big nor complicated decisions. Mostly they are how many police cars need replacing (they probably only have 3 or 4) or should they get a new road grater. Also, they might instruct someone to apply for a federal grant for some project. Very low-key, non partison decisions.

From what I've read from various news reports, it sounds like there was a lot of drama surrounding her when she was mayor. It doesn't make sense from what I've expereinced living several towns in Kansas that are essentially the same size. If there's that much drama in Wasillia, Alaska, how much drama is there going to be if she ends being our president? Can you imagine the insanity? I sure can, and it's scary.

She used this position to catapult her into the govenors position. Well, Alaska must be a govenor's heaven. Oil and gas royalites and taxes are huge now. I know that for a fact from my accounting job. Anyone involved in oil and gas now is making money hand over fist. I'm sure Alaska's tax coffers are running over. Just give every one a bigger dividend, and you're the greatest thing since slide bread.

Well, our nation's tax coffers are not running over. We have a huge defecit thanks to the Republicans. Our economy is in shambles, our treasury department is owned by the Chinese, our military is stretched to the breaking point, the Fed's has had to bail out mortgage lender after mortgage lender, our incomes have been falling, and on and on. Our economy is complicated, foreign policy is even more complicated. These are decisions are to important to leave to a 72 year-old man with skin cancer, and a mayor of Wassilla, Alaska, population 7000.

"Palin is not regarded as an introspective or intellectual type???not the sort who likes to mull the deepest nuances of every issue. In that sense, she's the anti-Obama." Ah, so she's more like FDR, JFK, and Ronald Reagan than she's like Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter and Sen. Obama. That assumes, of course, that Newsweek reporters actually talked to Gov. Palin's best friends, the individuals in her life who know her well enough to perhaps have some inkling of her inner life, and not the usual criminally mean-spirited and liberally fascistic suspects. A well written hit piece. Job well done.

Well.. thank you for the theology class on Assembly of God... now can you tell us what Black Liberation Theology is? And why did Obama form the radical traning camp Public Allies and sit on Ayers' Allenberg Challenge and why isn't he citing those in his "experience" resume? His resume is thin... why is he taking the risk of keeping it so thin?
