Fastcheck.org = Republican entity aligned with Karl Rove, O'Brien, Hannity, Coulter and Rushbo. Fastcheck, get some truth and objectivity or get out of town by sundown.

Only necessary because of the lies promulgated by the left, as in the case of Palin. But keep it up - the election is coming soon and the tidal wave is lifting McCain/Palin.

Regarding the Librarian, Palin did try to get the Librarian fired. It was the community that stopped her. If you're going to expose facts, maybe you should expose the entire facts rather than ones which you pick and choose.

I am less worried about a fired librarian than I am about this:

So, Palin tried to get the librarian fired. Are you trying to say that Palin is such a tough cookie that she can stare down a librarian without blinking?

I am saddened by the fact that I can't get this to become a hotlink.

Crapporoonie, you will have to cut and paste Sarah's picture.

I am wondering if there is a bright economist that can determine if there is a discernible correlation between the increased taxes the oil companies pay in Alaska and the price the rest of us pay at the pump. Even if it is a fraction of a penny on the gallon, it still represents a subsidization of Alaska by the rest of America.

    • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 5:31:07 PM

BobDoro for president. I would love to vote for you. You are the only Dem I've ever encountered who is against taxes.

AHHH . . . getting to the truth or, at minimum, if you're going to report on one side then you better report the facts about the other side.
All of this crap about Palin's support / non-support of the 'Bridge to Nowhere' . . .
Has the press offered up the fact that BOTH Obama and Biden voted FOR the bridge?
The press and news outlets are ALL biased - - does anyone not know that?

    • Posted By: it's about the future @ 09/09/2008 4:51:03 PM

Dude, the reason Obama is big on fiscal transparency is so that things like "Bridge-Gate" do not happen.

Well, it HAS happened and Sarah Palin is lying publically about it over and over again. Fact.

The strategy is, if you keep saying it, it will become true.

Regardless of which side you are on, neither Biden or Obama have anything to do with the Alaskan bridge to Nowhere.

The ireal ssue is Governor Palin's honesty. For example, it has been anaysed, and In all of her Convention speech, she did not say ONE true thing about Senator Obama. She did what she was told to do. That is a problem.

Hate to burst bubbles, but you had all better take a look at this:

The Senate of the United States 109th Congress,Ist Session,Vote 252 [''The Coburn Amendment''],Votes by Obama,Barack and Biden,Joseph , federal transportation bill amendment [''the bridge to nowhere''],sponsored by Sen.Ted Stevens[R-Ak].

Both senators,as you will find, voted for this ''bridge''.

Yes, Obama DID have something to do with the Bridge to Nowhere ... funding for the bridge was approved by the Senate ... Obama is in the Senate ... and furthermore, Obama voted FOR funding the bridge.

      • Posted By: Cimarron @ 09/09/2008 5:04:27 PM

Yes, Obama did have something to do with the Bridge to Nowhere ... the Senate approved it ... he's in the Senate ... furthermore, Obama voted FOR it.

Hey AguilarJ .... She did fire the librarian along with several other political appointees by the former administration. She gave them essentially a loyalty test (normal procedure by both parties). She rehired all of them, including the librarian, the next day. The desperate slime I read in here is
    worse than pathetic.

  • Posted By: mb56 @ 09/09/2008 3:21:16 PM

I hate the way we choose the leader of our country. Every 4 years we engage in the ritual of the entire country flinging mud at each other in the most vicious manner.

    • Posted By: gig'em99 @ 09/09/2008 5:23:45 PM

I guess there is always the military coup...? :-)

  • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 5:22:37 PM

Even if the Dems are right about Palin (and the Dems are often wrong), you can't take her down. And, that is a Liberal's worst nightmare, isn't it?

  • Posted By: j from ohio @ 09/09/2008 5:19:46 PM

You have to love the dems. When they are beaten on the field of ideas they just revert back to the same old same old. Bring out the buckets of slime and start slinging as hard and fast as they can and pray that something sticks. But hey keep it up guys you all are doing great, anyone out there need another bucket.

  • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 5:19:15 PM

I'll say it again: Palin is Golden. She comes across as Joan of Arc trying to take our country back. The more Palin is attacked, the more the American people step behind her.

  • Posted By: Jerry in Tampa @ 09/09/2008 5:18:52 PM

I am amazed how the Socialists are sending hordes of lawyers to Alaska to dig up any dirt, regardless of how trivial, with the intention of distorting it and trying to bring down this fine American woman because they KNOW she will be instrumental in bringing down their empty suit candidate Hussein before he can gain power and transform this still great nation into a Socialist State. No thanks Hussein enough of us see through you and your fellow travelers and won't allow that to happen. Nice try but no thanks. Keep piling on Sarah though as the more you do the better she connects with voters at a level you can't even imagine

  • Posted By: sieg6529 @ 09/09/2008 3:51:53 PM

Hah! Quiet Majority. Since when have the conservatives ever been quiet? O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and Coulter haven't been quiet at any time in my adult life.

    • Posted By: AnyoneButTheCommie @ 09/09/2008 5:15:59 PM

Quiet Majority refers to the percentage of the population that is ambivalent while the kooky liberals run around flailing their arms over the environment, global warming, rich vs poor, the economy, energy, etc, etc. etc. Because the Dems don't get much pushback from the Quiet Majority, they falsely believe that the majority of people believe in their chicken-little, sky-is-falling rhetoric. Now, it is clear that the Dems have raised the ire of the Quiet Majority with their smear campaign, creating a not-so-quiet majority that is carrying McCain/Palin ahead in a surge of support. So keep it up - the election is coming soon.

  • Posted By: Jerry in Tampa @ 09/09/2008 5:04:09 PM

As the Socialist Democrats try to dig up information to distort and attempt to bring this fine woman down, the voters (sheep to the DNC) continue to watch and listen to Sarah Palin and connect with her at a level that Hussein cannot even imagine. keep it up as the more you do the faster she will rise. Perhaps the GOP should send 30 lawyers to better expose how Hussein is such an empty suit who has absolutely no relevant experience to be the POTUS unless you want to give credit for basketball and effectively reading a speech written by someone else. Get over it Socialists it's not working for you anymore and its getting worse day by day. Please keep piling it on.

    • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 5:13:59 PM

Jerry in Tampa, Palin is golden. They can't touch her. She is Joan of Arc trying to take the country back.

  • Posted By: Erico @ 09/09/2008 5:12:51 PM

Check your facts. Obama and Biden voted for funding the bridge to nowhere.... TWICE !! Once to initially fund the bridge, then again when the opportunity to defund the project and offer the funds for rebuilding after Katrina was offered in the senate. O and B voted to continue the bridge. As soon as Sara had the opportunity; she killed the project and used the funds for better purposes.

  • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 4:31:29 PM

Please liste: There is only one relevant aspect of Obama's religion. Did he learn the Q'oran in school?

    • Posted By: navymom06 @ 09/09/2008 5:07:43 PM

You know John McCain was not born in America he was born in Panama . So maybe he really is just a mule for the South American drug cartel. How is that for a rumor you dear need to get a life. and stop with the Muslim stuff. First of all not all Muslims are terriosit. Any thing that is taken to the fun delmentalist stage is not good . including Christianity. . I just would like to know are you afraid of Barack because you think he his a Muslim or because you know he is Black

  • Posted By: Erico @ 09/09/2008 5:07:25 PM

You need to check your facts.

  • Posted By: jab1359 @ 09/09/2008 11:22:15 AM

Funny the article starts out with wanting to tell the truth about some of the humors. They neglected to mention the rumors that ARE in fact true, i.e. ROuge Cou Marketing. Regardless of the fact she named her potential marketing company Red Neck Marketing in support of her husbands 1/4 percent Native American heritage, the company name was BAD BAD BAD judgement. And if she doesnt see the problem in this, and if the republicans and their supporters don't find issue in this, then SAHME on Them. This shows her lack of judgement as well as her lack and the republicans lack of value in the America that is formed by a diverse race. Wow they are really out of touch. We don't need more people out of touch with the face of America. If her arguement is she didn't find offense in this then she has no place as a potential leader of America. What's next...

    • Posted By: oneamerican @ 09/09/2008 12:17:32 PM

I'll tell you what's next. The hypocrisy and idiocy of the idea that many black people think they can call themselves a ni****, but a white person can't. Someone is going to take offense to everything anyone says. That is our privilege of being American. We can voice our opinion. How about the Obama team attempting to make millions of Americans feel like a racist if they do not vote for a black man?

      • Posted By: cbat @ 09/09/2008 1:05:07 PM

Excuse me, Obama has done no such thing. The problem is people have ridiculous excuses for not voting for Obama, like hs is a Muslim, anti-christ, manchurian, celeb. (fact-check that newsweek), so it becomes obvious that race is the factor. I could respect anyone who does not vote for Obama because he/she does not agree with his issues, but to not vote for him because he thinks he "all that" is just crazy.

I am sick of people claiming that we are voting for him because he is black. If that is so, why are voting for McCain, because is white.

        • Posted By: gig'em99 @ 09/09/2008 1:53:54 PM

I would vote for Obama if he was conservative...

          • Posted By: vinman @ 09/09/2008 5:04:02 PM

I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY vote for Obama if he were a conservative.

      • Posted By: cbat @ 09/09/2008 1:07:02 PM

FYI, I suggest you leave that issue alone. If you canont understand why a white person cannot call a black person *** (yes, I said), then you do not know the history of his country too well.

        • Posted By: jab1359 @ 09/09/2008 2:21:55 PM

Ok so how does that excuse the name of her company? Again, stop defending her. I havent seen any businesses from any politicians called N*&*^^ Marketing come up. Whats your point. as well we are talking about a potential leader of this country. If Barack used N%^&^ marketing as a company name YOU WOULD BE OUTRAGED! Stop protecting her so ignorantly. There is no evcuse on either side. And I AM A WHITE WOMAN not impressed at all and not tolerant of any remarks that connotate racism whatsoever. So excuse her lack of judgement all you want. As I'm sure you've excused bush's and will continue to excuse the republicans for sarcasim, outrages attacks and lack of change in their campaign.

          • Posted By: oneamerican @ 09/09/2008 2:52:23 PM

Why would I care about what Obama calls his company ? I can protest if I like by not doing business at his establishment. I assume a name of a business is to draw attention to it. If Obama feels that putting a specific word in the name of his establishment, he should do so. I have had people criticizing me all my life for my physical appearance, religion, and everything else. I was even sucker punched and had my nose broken because I cheer for an NFL team other than the city I live in. My point is again, I have bigger issues with both McCain/ Palin and Obama/Biden other than to care about what they call their business. For you to say that all republicans are wrong based on a name of a business is ludicrous. I would be more offended if I was gun-toting bible clinging person. Are all democrats idiots for supporting their candidate even though he said that. If that is the case, I guess Bush has to get a 3rd term.

        • Posted By: jab1359 @ 09/09/2008 2:24:35 PM

Shes a politician who opened a business called Rouge Cou. She admits it. Her words. It was a lack of good judgement. We are not talking about the general population we are talking about a person running for office. Haven't seen anyone else in any leadership role on either side open a business that is so in line of poor judgement.

        • Posted By: oneamerican @ 09/09/2008 2:23:29 PM

That's my point exactly. I don't care what people call themselves. jab1359 is trying to slam Palin and her husband fro calling their business a certain name, when HE is part of a race of people that use that term to describe themselves. She then accuses all republicans for doing so. Therin lies the hypocrisy

  • Posted By: 18289554 @ 09/09/2008 4:13:58 PM

Re the relative "facthood" of creationism versus evolution. If we're talking opinion versus defined and undeniable scientific reality the prize for most out of touch with reality is the suggestion that there is any question when "life" begins. Despite all the philosophical attempts to warp reality, the scientific fact is that an entire new human being is created when the sperm and ovum unite. Liberal pseudo-scientists who attempt to question that reality so as to make themselves feel better about destroying another human to allow them to pass on the detritus of their irresponsibility are not only uttering factual nonsense but are beneath philosophical contempt.. Another human being should not be required to sacrifice his or her life to save irrepsonsible adults from taking responsibility for the human outcome of their lack of judgment.

Evolution is a great, but still unproven theory. The fact that a new and independent life begins at conception is scientific fact ... like it or not.

    Ted

    • Posted By: tinaweha @ 09/09/2008 4:55:07 PM

Ted, I am very conservative. I have to disagree with you. Using your logic that "evolution is a theory", you would have to also say that "heat from the sun" is a theory. Evolution makes total sense. The question is: how did plants, animals, humans, etc. get here. The reasonable answer is "God"
