What is the liberal obsession with Palin? Republicans for the most part have written her off long ago. The only conclusion is fear, fear that she is more of a woman and a feminist then the left has, or I guess pant suits and riding your husbands coattails is what liberals consider a strong woman these days.

She misused her power as governor to fire Monegan for not joining her personal vendetta against her sister's ex. AND ALREADY she has misused her power as a veep candidate when she let her lawyer threaten the state investigator with harassment by her federal Secret Service detail. (Cheney, remember, used his SS detail to hide from local cops until he sobered up after shooting his friend in the face). Imagine how Palin would behave as veep, with all the new powers Cheney has arrogated to that office.

The point here is when Palin says Wooten threatened to kill her father, she is saying that her nephew's father threatened to kill her nephew's grandfather. It is child abuse, it is traumatic to a boy of that age. If she has evidence, great, I'd love to see it, but the matter was investigated and settled many years ago. Why does she keep bringing this up again and again on national TV? Doesn't she care about her family? Not only is the boy being dragged into this mess all over again, but now people are asking Bristol what happened? This is wrong. This woman is horrible. She has no morals. It's right in front of us but only some of us are willing to see it.

I read all this stuff on a daily basis, or watch it on the news, or hear it on the radio. My main question in all of these aricles from investigatory news reporters is this....what has happened to the honesty, fairness, and honor that used to be in your profession? I guess the last of that died with Peter Jennings. In all of these "Trooper Gate investigative reports" (and I use the term loosly) not one of you has even hinted at, let alone mentioned, the fact that Wooten confessed to using his taser gun on his 10 year old step-son. He seems to have found some kind of honor in the last couple of years, because he, unlike the Obama media, refuses to trash the family.....and he CONFESSED! I am a Democrat and was a Hillary supporter. I am not now nor will I ever be 'racist', which seems to be the Obama Campaign's accusation toward anyone who questions anything they say or do. He and the media talked down to Hillary, disrespected her, on a continuous basis. I don't know wheather I should be more ashamed of what my party has become or of what 90% of the media has become. The Democratic Party of today does not even resemble the Democratic Party of John F. Kennedy. God help the working man! God bless America.

The following excerpt from the referenced article explains the situation of trooper Wooten and the tasering of his stepson.
TASING THE STEPSON
One day -- maybe a year or two before the investigation (2005) -- Wooten showed his stepson his Taser. He had just been to Taser instructor school. Wooten told Sgt. Wall that the boy was fascinated and pleaded to be tased.
"So we went in our living room and I had him get down on his knees so he wouldn't fall. And I taped the probes to him and turned the Taser on for like a second, turned it off. He thought that was the greatest thing in the world, wanted to do it again," Wooten told the investigator. The boy flinched but nothing more, he said. The boy was about 11 at the time.
In his interview with troopers, the stepson said it hurt for about a second, according to Wall's report. The boy said he wanted to be tased to show his cousin, Palin's daughter Bristol, that he wasn't a mama's boy. The probe left a welt on his arm, he said. His mother was upstairs yelling at them not to do it, the boy said.
As Bristol remembered it, the jolt knocked the boy backward, the trooper report says. She said she was afraid.
The probes are attached by thin wires to the Taser cartridge. In the field, an officer fires the probes into a suspect's skin or clothing and the suspect receives a jolt of electricity for five seconds, said Steve Tuttle, a spokesman for Taser International, which makes the devices. They are only incapacitated during that time. In demos, the probes might be taped to a person so that they don't accidentally strike an eye or injure the volunteer, he said. If the Taser is fired for just a second, it would feel like your funny bone was hit but the quick jolt wouldn't knock you over, Tuttle said.

It is no coincidence that revelations of police misconduct from the Rodney King beating to CBS news Katey Couric recent expose on corruption in Chicago City Police drug task force involves video camera documentation of misconduct including separate incidents of beating up of innocent bar patrons and a female bartender by the officers involved. A Chicago Police officer implicated was audiotaped later conspiring to murder his fellow officers to prevent further investigation of wrongdoing that included multiple and systematic thefts of drugs and money from drug dealers and falsification of police reports and sworn affidavits. The revelation of misconduct did not come from so-called good officers coming forward to report on the misconduct of their co-workers. Only when there is videotape footage documenting police misconduct or dead bodies turn up as in the Atlanta wrongful drug bust and shooting murder of a 95 year old grandmother in her own home does a successful investigation and prosecution go forward.
With Sarah Palin sister there will not likely be any videotape and no bodies found so it not likely that any of her brother-in-laws co-workers are going to come forward on their own to document any misconduct. Sarah Palin should not have had to wait until her sister disappeared before she intervened.
Ten domestic violence related deaths in four different states involving four different sworn law enforcement officers is more than enough reason for Governor Sarah Palin to not have had to wait until her sister disappeared before she intervened. Alaska in the winter is a big state in which it is easy for someone to disappear. In light of the recent murders of spouses and girlfriends by police officers in four other states, any alleged intervention by Governor Sarah Palin involving her ex-brother-in-law was not unethical or unreasonable, rather it was probably the more prudent course of conduct. Sarah Palin should not have had to wait until her sister disappeared before she intervened.-

Sarah Palin isn't the judge in the divorce court for a reason. If the Judge warned the Palin family away, there must have been grounds - they were crossing the line. It's understandable that people will be emotional about their loved ones but it doesn't give them the right to abuse their office.

There are cases from all over the US of murder and abuses that have never been solved.
Now what is a real crime is for the city of Wassila to charge rape victims for their test kits. The Alaska legislature ending up passing a law to end this practice.
