Oh poor xbrother-in-law. One would think that you are the only individual who has ever gone through a bad divorce. GET OVER IT. GROW UP. LOSE THE HOSTILITY. MOVE ON. CHILL OUT. Those are the comments the "good old boy" club readily spit at women who go through the same thing you went through.

However, at this late juncture - you definitely have MASSIVE ANGER ISSUES because you still feel a need to talk about what happened. That, in-and-of itself presents an entirely new, and even greater, problem for you dear boy. Appears to me you are one of the "good old boys" who definitely CANNOT stand to have any female achieve more than you have or ever will.

Palin used good ol' boy tactics to try to get Wooten fired. When Monegan would not do it, she fired him and put in a Yes Man named Kopp to do her dirty work. If this action was done by a man, you might see it differently. Palin is not the victim in this case.

As far as taking on the good ol' boys. She did a some of that before she took office, but the majority of the Good ol' Boys are being taken down by the Good ol' Boys in the FBI.

The reason there are trials is that you ALWAYS need to hear both sides. I don't presume either the man or the woman is right. Anyone who mouths off attacking either Palin or Wooten are simply political hacks trying to score points for the election (or in favor of their gender). The truth is not in opinions; it's in the facts. Let's wait until we hear the results of the independent prosecutor's investigation. Then both sides can mouth off semi-intelligently. Until then, ... get a life!

Her political views aside, Palin is poorly educated and has a very limited world view. Her attacks on her former brother-in-law reveal that she is also vengeful. She has no business being in the White House. Frankly, she has no business being in the Alaska statehouse

Lets talk about the Republican platform: Family. We got a guy that divorced his wife after 25+ years, to marry a rich beautiful(?) lady and a Beauty Queen whos family morals are akin to a stray dog. Oh,,,,,,,,both supported by the former "Moral Rights" and evangelical's groups. Mercy what is this country headed for?

    • Posted By: ldb10AE @ 09/10/2008 3:00:11 PM

I agree with you. I can't beleive how Dobson and other evangelicals have embarced Palin when her situation with her daughter and job just don't jibe with the Christian right's philosophy. I listened to him for years and now I see that just to get an anti-abortion pol in the White House, he'll look past anything -- incluidng the kind of behavior he's railed against for years, i.e., teenage sexual immorality and women in the workplace. .

Republicans are depending on American's ignorance and short attention spans to keep control. Their strategy is to promote a culture where an educated people are shunned as elites while the uneducated are promoted as being somehow more real and more American. The reason for this is because Republicans kinow that educated people are too smart to be swayed by stupid Republican diversions. They will actually consider issue and arguments seriously and not believe the moronic one liners the Republicans have perfected in order to keep their army of imbeciles in line

A man who tasers a child should be fired. Sounds like the good-old-boy network sticking up for the brother-in-law to me. Five days suspension is crazy. I've seen troopers fired for less than this man admits.

And it doesn't look like Monegan is going to make a connection stick. Democrats are wasting taxpayer money on an investigation and grasping at straws.

For those that keep harping on a sermon that Obama may or may not have heard, the truth of the matter is that Pastors, preachers or ministers would be delighted if the congregation did take note of sermons. I know many people that go to church but could not tell you the content of a sermon if their life depended on it If you are a church goer, then ask yourself how many sermons have you truly honed in on, I think that would put to bed a lot of foolish rhetoric.

    • Posted By: oneamerican @ 09/10/2008 2:56:49 PM

It doesn't matter if you pay attention to every word of a sermon. If I heard " G** Da** America" said in that context, which was screamed, so those sleeping would wake up in time to hear it, I would walk out of that church and never come back.

We have already seen how Washington lawyers are attempting to insert themselves into this process, trying to save Palin from her misdeeds. We don't have to judge whether Wooten was in the right or not. We do need to let the officials in charge resolve this thing without interference. People not involved, stepping in, is an abuse of power. If we see it now, we will see it in the future if she gets elected.

    • Posted By: oneamerican @ 09/10/2008 2:53:39 PM

First we have to be sure it is a nonbiased investigation. No politician is perfect. Palin pretty much has rights as a governor to fire any state employee, for whatever reason. Anyone can get fired from any job with or without cause. Only if you are female, minority, old or in a union to you have any possible recourse. I am under 40 white male. If I get fired, there's nothing I can do. All my company has to say is that I didn't meet their expectations, regardless of if those expectations are even documented anywhere. I am beginning to wish that we could set a prerequiste that our presidential candidates should have NO experience. This way we can get normal citizens to run, even if they are not millionaires. Whoever wins will just pick a cabinet of hopefully qualified people. Do you think if either McCain or Obama win, they will keep any of Bush's cabinet? No way. Even if they did a good job, they will get fired.

Go Sarah! No one bothers to check out what the bad mouthing is all about. If it is a crime to bad mouth a peson then the dems are breaking the law every time the post and the MSM as well. Keep painting the picture you want to portray becuase the American people see through your use of pastels.

    • Posted By: MotherOfOne28 @ 09/10/2008 2:03:56 PM

Are you for real? Did you not watch the Republican Convention the entire thing was about mad mouthing Obama. Are you than blind that you can't see pass what the republicans are doing. America deserves a god president, someone who will actually help the people, someone who will not start another unneccessary war. Bad mouthing the Obamad ticket is not going to do anything for the people. What McCain and Palin are using is called "smear tactic", done to throw people off because they have nothing to bring to the table.

Remember when America starts a war somewhere it does'nt just affect America, it affects others......NOTED GAS PRICE........

      • Posted By: moderate thinker @ 09/10/2008 2:31:02 PM

Great typo there dimwit - "America deserves a god president. " Yeah - Obama thinks he is god!
He has NO experience. He has done nothing in the senate. Oh - wait - he did vote "present" 130 times!!!! That was in the 143 days he was there before he started running for president.

        • Posted By: Benoliwal @ 09/10/2008 2:53:06 PM

Listen Dimwit! There is no written requirement as for a job resume for experience to be president. You don't have to have been a governor, politician or anything. You must be a citizen, and you must be of age.

    • Posted By: Marinegrunti39 @ 09/10/2008 2:27:50 PM

Palin is nothing but a pretty doll, that Mccain's aides just wind her up and repeates the the same lies over and over and over again.Just like Bush and his talking mouths how they convince 40% of Americans that Iraq has WMD and link to 911

  • Posted By: labman57 @ 09/09/2008 9:14:55 PM

Palin likes to portray herself as some type of pitbull (female dog?) bad-ass with her smug, sarcastic self-righteous blather. Kinda easy from behind the safety of a teleprompter or cue cards and a scripted monolog.

How about having a spontaneous, unrehearsed dialog with someone who isn't trying to brown-nose the GOP? If she's a fraction as tough as she likes to think she is, she should jump at the opportunity to show that she knows what the "F" she's talking about. Instead, anytime anyone challenges her on her qualifications, ethics, or policies, she whimpers and whines and runs for cover. No pitbull, just lots of BULL!

    • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 09/09/2008 9:36:04 PM

she'll get her chance and debate a common jerk who in a debate with someone trying to brown-nose the DNC!
Biden! The ONE present day self- righteous blatherer Obama The Human Teleprompter could have ever picked to brown-nose the DNC !
Funny you should bring up brown-nose!
Palin can do one thing nobody in the DNC can seem to do!! Complete a major speech before the American people and not wage disparaging remarks at Achievers, Christians , fire arms owners, military professionals and the nations cops!
How refreshing! It's leadership by example! She is not brown-nosing the DNC and by the way...she's white!

      • Posted By: pattygs @ 09/10/2008 2:46:20 PM

Hey your an idiot, we need change and McCain and Palin cannot give us change don't you realize they are saying everything the Democrats are saying they are copying the Democrats to get votes. So she is white big deal. She is a vindictive person.

      • Posted By: ProFromOregon @ 09/10/2008 10:11:59 AM

Gov Palin can't complete a speech with telling a lie and a sentence without putting someone down. She doesn't talk about what she has actually done, she disparages others with insults and lies. That is not the type of human being I want as a Vice President representing me to the world. I don't think I'm alone.

I'd like to see you actually prove where Obama or Biden has actually made disparaging remarks about ANYONE. You can't. And don't try that BS about the socio-political explanation he was giving to a future campaign worker so they could understand the plight of the working poor in Penn. That was nothing that isn't said everyday in classrooms across America.

Funny how you could see a non-racist idiom and turn it into a racist slur. I think that would qualify you as a racist, happyamerican.

happyamerican, that's a slur on Americans.

I know Americans, I know Americans who fought for our country, our civil rights and died while doing so. I know Americans and you, sir, are NOT an American

      • Posted By: OBWan @ 09/09/2008 11:02:45 PM

thehappyamerican - Palin and Rudy denigrated more American than you will every know. Community Organizers include Loins, Elks, Shriners, Little League, Pop Warner, Habit for Humanity, Soup Kitchens (such Hope Rescue Mission in South Bend IN), Food pantries, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts ....and much more. Get the drift,

        • Posted By: Amherst @ 09/10/2008 7:50:38 AM

Sarah's minister described how community organization got the church started
and the Association for helping individuals with downs syndrome and other developmental disabilities (ARC) was formed through community organization "The Arc was founded in 1950 by a small group of parents and other concerned individuals."

      • Posted By: Pupster @ 09/09/2008 9:45:30 PM

If Obama, who has gone through 23 debates without notes, is a Human Teleprompter, then what does that make Palin, who is so scared of the press she won't come out of whatever burrow McCain has stuffed her in.

As for disparaging remarks, I and the rest of America heard her denigrate community organizers, who help the down and out of this country.

But it's your last comment that really makes clear why you support McCain/Palin -- you're a racist!! Well, enjoy your whiteness, because soon we colored people (brown, black, yellow and other) are gonna be the majority here soon. Later, gator.

      • Posted By: Livingwithcommonsenseandreason @ 09/10/2008 2:04:36 PM

Here's a little exerpt : " She has bitten the hand of every person who extended theirs to her in help. The City Council person who personally escorted her around town introducing her to voters when she first ran for Wasilla City Council became one of her first targets when she was later elected Mayor. She abruptly fired her loyal City Administrator; even people who didn't like the guy were stunned by this ruthlessness.

Fear of retribution has kept all of these people from saying anything publicly about her."

        • Posted By: voxitar @ 09/10/2008 2:29:58 PM

fine - you have an excerpt from the one person in Wasilla who doesn't like palin - meanwhile, here's an excerpt from debbie frost, who lives in Wasilla also and counts herself among the 80%, repeat 80% of Alaskans who appove of her and how she governs:

"As an Alaskan resident as well as a resident of Wasilla, AK, where Sarah Palin was at one time Mayor ... I can speak with confidence. Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska is exactly what she portrayed during her introduction this morning and exactly what our US Government needs. She is ethical to a fault (if there is such a thing), a refreshing change to the status-quo and as smart and determined a PERSON (gender really isn't an issue here as far as I'm concerned) as anyone could ask for at the head of government.

Sarah is no naive 'small town mayor' ??? she just *started out* there. BTW, as Mayor of Wasilla<, she brought this 'small town' through a lot of GOOD changes and left it at the end of her term having grown to the 4th largest CITY in Alaska ??? a lot of growth and a stronger economic base than ever before.

She has EXECTUTIVE experience *running a government* (something NONE of the other candidates can actually boast, even John McCain) as Governor of Alaska and got there by defeating the *incumbent* Republican Governor, who was definitely part of the 'old school' and who WAS very much in the pocket of the big oil companies. We in Alaska wanted change ??? and we got it in the person of Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin is everything she looks to be and more. Her approval rating as Governor of Alaska has been as high as 95% and is currently leveled out consistently in the upper 80 percentile throughout the state (and in both parties) - the HIGHEST approval rating of ANY sitting Governor. "

We are already beginning to see how Washington attorneys are attempting to get involved and probably are involved, at least in counseling the Palin attorney. They will attempt to manipulate the outcome of this whole affair. Is this an example of what is to come with Palin?

    • Posted By: starkgranger @ 09/10/2008 2:41:19 PM

So only democrats are allowed to seek counsel from others? The Scriptures says there is safety in a multitude of counselors. In other words the more people you listen to helps you come to better decisions.

  • Posted By: heromommy @ 09/10/2008 2:39:53 PM

I think it's interesting that everyone is so concerned with who actually gets in the White House. Don't you realize that the President really doesn't do much when it comes to actual policy. We should be more concerned with legislature and judicial appointments. They are the lawmakers and policy watchdogs. The President is merely a pawn in a mighty big game of special interests and power. If you really think that putting Obama in the White House is going to lower your price of gas or your taxes for that matter..you're delusional. OPEC controls the price of your gas...just today they decided to hold up production because they were afraid prices would fall TOO LOW!! Obama has all these grand plans -- how does he plan to pay for them? Where will he get the 10-15 BILLION dollars to invest in new energy? Who will pay for his socialized medical plan? YOU WILL!!! I'm not supporting Bush's policies over the last four years. I think he did okay the first four, but I will gladly admit he's not the brightest bulb. But blaming him for a recession, that by the way, was building even when Clinton was in office, is idiotic. And really who cares if Sarah Palin hates her brother-in-law??? So what if she tried to get him fired. I would guess that most of you would do the same thing for your sister. NO ONE would care in the least if she wasn't on the GOP ticket. Look, whoever you vote for this election..you'll get one old white guy and one minority. They are practically interchangable. JUST DON"T RAISE MY TAXES!!

What I'm sick of hearing: not in any particular order:

As I call it - - POW-ness... I say this because of the 3 days of the RNC, every speaker talked about McCain and his POW days - every single speaker... guess what - we heard it on the first day - the 2nd and well again on the 3rd with Mr. McCain himself - - don't get me wrong, I admire the guy that survived being a prisoner, but I'm more concerned about the number of US military deaths that took place because of the extra time spent in the middle east... his answer to everything is - - well while I was a POW - I did this and god saved me and well I'll save the country because of my POW days - - and blah blah blah... let it go...

The tribute to 9/11 during the RNC - - yes - it's part of American history and yes - many people died, but lets focus on other items and recent Hurricane items and figure out what we're going to do with the number of people living in poverty down south... if we were to tak 1% of the total war costs and put it toward people and communities around Louisianna, god - it was be fantastic down there - - instead - we're getting ourself into deaper debt, sending more troops, and spending rediculous money in that area... there are so many better ways to be spending that money....

Palin - god where does one start - This election was pretty much locked up prior to Palin, I do admire the Republicans as far as I can throw them, because - it's not McCain Obama - it's Palin Obama - - Palin is simply a puppet for the Republican party, she says what they tell her, and does what they say... The idea of someone stumbling into politics and not being 1 seat from the leader of the free world is frightening to me? Anyone else? yes she's a normal next door neighbor type person, but I want an educated staff and someone looking out for your best interest.. Palin will do what the others tell her to do... And McCain - god help us - as I'm sure we'll here more about his POW-Ness here shortly...

    • Posted By: SavethisCountry @ 09/10/2008 2:38:48 PM

Very true. I really think that when they were preparing for the RNC, Palin most likely asked "Whats a Hanoi Hilton?" because I don't remember staying there in one of my many expensed trips.

Remember that movie IDIOCRACY??? Remember the leader of the country was a FORMER BEAUTY QUEEN????????

Synopsis of Idiocracy (written by Mike Judge):

Who has the most kids? Stupid people. They're out their breeding like rabbits while geniuses spend their time developing a cure for male pattern baldness. That's the gist of the hilarious opening sequence to Idiocracy. The smartest, the most fit among us no longer procreate while the stupid screw their brains out ensuring that the human race as a whole gets stupider and stupider and stupider. Without any natural predators to thin the herd; with science, welfare, and television keeping the dumbest alive, healthy, and happy enough to remain potent we're done for. Evolution will take its course and centuries from now we'll become a planet full of Bam Margeras.

PAY ATTENTION folks----we get the government we deserve. this election needs to be about the ISSUES, not who bashes best or who is more snarky. it's your kids' future.

Stop jthornton57 Just Stop It !! READ the Article It's about PALIN nit Obama Stop trying to blame him and bring up OLD CRAP READ whats in front of you .. Your Whinning is OLD

    • Posted By: jthornton57 @ 09/10/2008 12:09:55 PM

Only a Democrat can spin fact in to "whining". Don't be angry because you don't know the facts regarding your savior's economic policies. Nothing in what I wrote is "old" they're his ideas for the future of our country. As I mentioned, try reading about the candidates and spend less time relying on Comedy Central for your news.

      • Posted By: Benoliwal @ 09/10/2008 2:32:21 PM

Republicans are good at whinning, and they are good at telling lies. I have seen and heard Obama speaking, and have taken note of how Palen, John McCains pit bull tells one lie after the other as if the rest of us don't have ears to hear. Then there is John McCain, Mr. POW, he brings up that POW thing as if that must give him the right or the privilege to do and say as he pleases. He brought in Palin because of here pit bull mentality. I am 61 years of age and have heard this crap from republicans every four years, and they have it down pat: Blame the Democrats (even when Republicans were in charge of the Congress), tell outright provable lies, and smear the Democrat candidate, and then whine if attacked. I for one am truly "sick and tired" of Republicans, and there I don't give a dam about the rest of you mindsets.

If you don't vote Democratic you will get for more years of bush and cheney in McCain and Palin, and they will be a lot worse. Remember John McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time, meaning maybe 5% of the time he had a conscience, and 5% of the time he spent telling everyone he was a POW.
