palin is on record of saying that iraq is god's work. her pastor is on record saying that she believes that any thought that enters her head is the voice of god. god help us all (regardless creed), what thoughts might enter her head as vp. this story is just yet more evidence- as if we needed any- that she feels her religion puts her above the law.

Don't forget that she and her church thinks they can "Pray away the Gay"! LMAO

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/10/2008 2:06:58 PM

OMG. Really? Palin's church preaches this insanity? Gays are God's children like everyone else.

  • Posted By: wildlifeusa @ 09/10/2008 12:46:16 PM

How nasty that woman can be! She should be impeached!! She is harrassing her ex brother in law, how do you think his children feel? Do you think all this is good for the kids?
If she was that smart, she should know that what she is doing is damaging to the children.
And what a lier she is, too!

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/10/2008 2:05:03 PM

The whole story will come out soon and I hope she didn't try to hire someone to beat up her brother-in-law. She seems the type that would.

  • Posted By: ozarkajuice @ 09/10/2008 12:03:47 PM

She must think god told bush to invade iraq , because its a task from god that must be done. WTF is this lady thinking. all of sudden, we went from the War against Terror, to The War on Gods Behalf. this lady is insane.

so repubs please tell me why are we in IRaq. first it was for WMD's, then it became a war on terror, now its a holy war. WOULD YOU PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND CALL ME ONCE YOU MADE YOUR DESCISION. Thank <^_~>

As The Stomach Turns - So Go the Days of Our Lives. It is truly the silly season.

McCain wanted a diversion from having to talk about the issues, and he certainly got it. Any discussion recently about the economy? the war? health care?

So Palin practiced crony-ism, used her power for personal persuasion, and got embroiled in family drama. Welcome to politics. Both parties do it all the time, let's not pretend we are shocked. And let's stop pretending it matters.

Can we PLEASE focus on the issues? So she can skin a moose; can she balance a budget? She was a former beauty queen; is she a future negotiater on the international stage? She fired a public servant; can she nominate a supreme court justice?

These are the important questions. Let's see if she has any answers.

    • Posted By: webters2 @ 09/10/2008 12:29:38 PM

I agree completely with your points. They are valid and focused on the issues and not about character and personal life. That is what I care about and what every American should be concerned about.

  • Posted By: AskPlus @ 09/10/2008 11:57:19 AM

She's an Evangelist, righteous, overbearing incapable mother. How could she possibly be VP? She recites her words in a squeaky tone over-and-over, with Mr. McCain fingers up her back. Great.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/10/2008 2:01:15 PM

Ditto! As a woman I have tried to like her but I can't.

  • Posted By: dp930 @ 09/10/2008 11:57:43 AM

The good news is that there is now mounting evidence that she will be asked to leave the campaign because of her prior criminal activities. How could McCain have been so stupid in picking her. Can't wait to see who he picks next.

Barack BO Obama is a notorious liar who has surrounded himself politically with some of the most disreputable politicians, businessmen, and clergy in the nation. I don't know what you call a person who hangs around racist priests, but I call that person a racist. His plan to socialize healthcare is a joke, the government was never intended to run private industry. His proposed taxing of big oil based solely on the fact of they gross (not net) more than other industries is no other than an attempt to further communize this nation. Since when is the government allowed to take money from PUBLICLY owned corporations based only upon their bottom line. What's next? His trip across Europe in which he verbally assaulted our country in a shamless attempt to appease European liberals was shameless at best. He also wants to apply the same employment tax to small businesses that are currently applied to large ones. This means that small businesses will not be able to afford as many workers, costing jobs to the millions of Americans that currently work for the type of small businesses that have been the backbone of middle America since its inception. Barak Obama is an enemy of the American middle and lower-class. He wants you to become soloely dependent on the government. Under his control you will lose everything. Open your eyes, stop getting all your news from the Daily Show and try to think for yourself. Just because MTV and Hollywood are telling you to love Obama doesn't mean you have to. THINK FOR YOURSELF!

JT, you must be a hillbilly..shut up!

    • Posted By: zardozcat @ 09/10/2008 1:07:38 PM

I was just wondering what "employment tax" you are referring to. If you are referring to social security and Medicare taxes, they are the same for ANY company, regardless of size. Additionally, the FUTA tax (federal unemployment tax) is also the same at .08% regardless of company size. Can you clarify what you mean by your statement?

    • Posted By: sabertxdad @ 09/10/2008 12:25:12 PM

Please provide your evidence of taxes. I have found nothing to support your small business tax argument. I cannot find that Obamma supports a capitol gains tax on the oil companies. I can only find evidence the removal of Big oil tax breaks and removal of the non- taxed subsidees for oil to research other sources of power resources that many of them are not doing. As a trader of stocks. I am dying with the crapping quarterly returns. Fuel costs is affecting everyone. what has McCain and Palin offered to assist us small businesses?
Please explain a lie of Obamma's?

    • Posted By: dp930 @ 09/10/2008 12:08:44 PM

Yes, but he is going to win and you are scared shitless. I love it. Start collecting the food in cans now and head for your bunker to live out your miserable life. I can't wait for Barack's inauguration.

  • Posted By: soconnor889 @ 09/10/2008 10:03:43 AM

So many Americans are excusing her behaviour because she either is hot or she's conservative. Clearly , moral issues should be considered when evaluating a candidate. If conservatives were appalled by blowjobs in the White House, than abuse of power should also be viewed as a negative.

    • Posted By: blackcourt @ 09/10/2008 10:25:47 AM

I think its more apalling to vote for someone who fights for the right to kill babies. But thats just me... perhaps you enjoy killing innocent children too.

      • Posted By: Livingwithcommonsenseandreason @ 09/10/2008 11:17:32 AM

You stupid repugs just don't get it , do you ??? If PROPER birth control techniques and INTELLIGENT information about sex and sexually transmitted diseases were taught to the children of this country, which by the way has a teen pregnancy rate of 4x that of any other industrialized country, there wouldn't be the NEED for as many abortions as are sought . And who the hell are you to decide what we should do ??

        • Posted By: wtfcherry @ 09/10/2008 11:59:40 AM

I hope you are referring to blackcourt b/c I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do with their bodies but Palin is. I agree, birth control and sex education should be taught. I'll say this: All of us have been young. We've done things our parents told us not to do. However, children are having sex. It's been happening since the beginning of time. But in this day in age, just like telephones. Everybody should have one.....and just like birth control.....there is no excuse for anybody getting pregnant. It's too much out there to protect yourself.....young women.....yes, it takes two to tangle....but ultimately, the woman is the woman who has to carry that load and teenagers do not need that type of responsbility....How will they support they child.....that's when grandparents step in b/c they are the ultimate caregivers....that's why young women don't expect men to protect you from getting pregnant...Hell, some married women don't need children....everybody is not fit to be parents....I feel it should be planned but the way gov't has been set up just have a baby and we'll take care of you....well that's bs because I get tired of seeing my hard earned money going to take care of people who are just lazy...and don't get it twisted....it ain't just black thing either....there are more whites on welfare than blacks.....but gov't needs to start making people become more self sufficient....but the republican gov't haved organized these programs to keep on welfare trapped.....no desire or a will to want to do better....the poor keeps getting poorer....the rich (republicans) get richer because they get all the tax breaks....last, the middle class paying for the all.....that's the politics Obama wants to change....again, where does McCain stand on issues.....I have yet to hear.....he talks around things but never gives a direct answer....and the republicans who speak on his behalf talk more of the same BS.....The republicans first step to overcoming their fear (not of Obama. Yes, he's Black that's not going to change....Black people as a whole have never tried to hurt other races, whites in particular) but the first step is to admit that you guys have a problem and stop trying to act as if you are the epitome of morals, ethics, values & life....If truth be told, Black people are more conservative than your average white republican.......However, most blacks don't agree with what the republicans represent......

          • Posted By: Livingwithcommonsenseandreason @ 09/10/2008 1:54:36 PM

Yes I WAS replying to Blackcourt. What really pisses me off to no end is that #1... Xtians expect EVERYONE on the planet to believe what they believe. They want to forcefeed their warped interpretation of life down everyone's throats. They just can't get it through their thick skulls that what THEY believe is NOT what everyone believes nor should everyone HAVE to accept/believe it. They can think whatever they want.... let them keep it to themsleves. I don't give a DAMN what their beliefs and values are... they're NOT mine and they WON'T be mine...EVER.

      • Posted By: wtfcherry @ 09/10/2008 11:20:54 AM

I've never killed a child nor have i killed a moose or a wolf....but I don't think it's nobody's business what people do with their bodies....This elections goes way beyond abortions. Ask your chosen candidate.

    • Posted By: ObamaLies @ 09/10/2008 11:58:54 AM

Here is the thing, the issue is not cut and dry. Not everyone had extreme righty views or extreme lefty views. I don't give a crap who got what in the WH. I feel bad for Hillary because he spouse was cheating and she got ridiculed for it (double whammy), but I'm not concerned with the fact that he got BJs in the WH. Who cares. However, I DO care if BO wants to let babies who survived an abortion attempt die anyway. That, I'd say, is an issue. I also care that BO has a thin resume and is trying to make up for it by picking Biden. I'd rather have experience at the top of the ticket. That is an issue.

BO was running on Iraq. Well, Iraq after the Surge (thanks McCain!) seems to be working itself out. His big theme is no longer a big theme. He now has nothing to run on except to convice everyone that they shouldn't vote for McCain because of Palin. McCain has shown real leadership ability with his support for the Surge in the face of criticism from everyone on both sides of the aisle. It is one thing to not vote for the war (which BO undermines that arguement by choosing Biden who DID vote for the war), it is another thing to tackle a military and foreign relations problem with a real solution rather than harping about who did or didn't vote for what 5 years later.

      • Posted By: wtfcherry @ 09/10/2008 1:01:42 PM

Barack is not telling people not to vote for McCain because of Palin. Hell he's been preaching that before Palin coincidentally dropped on the scene......Palin has no power.....she's not running for president.....and you want admit it but you know yourself she's not your chosen one either....but.McCain is trying to win the WH based on the war in Iraq and that alone. There are other issues he has not addressed....and his camp want allow Palin to speak without him being her shadow.....how convenient for her to give a press conference on the day her son will be deployed to Iraq 9/11/08....do you see the burlesquing heroic character here.... ...she'll possibly answer questions as it relate to the war and her son....she'll speak on how as a mother she's going to hate to see him go but she applause him for his great sacrafice to his country....But it will not surprise me if she does not answer questions aside from that...You know why? Because she's not prepared....and if she does her concocted and memorized answers will have no substance and no direct relevance.... Barack was right about the war from day one....and yes it appears that our troops are doing exceptionally well now....thanks to the General....BUT how many lives could have been saved before it got to this point....Barack has been preaching for a timetable to withdraw forever, now all of a sudden our President and McCain want to jump on the banwagon....personally I believe the casualties are greater than what's being shown by the media and what's being actually stated......they show us what they want us to see....we're not crazy....aren't you tired of the world being mad at America.......this ain't about black vs. white, jew vs gentiles, mexicans vs. latinos...asians vs. koreans....no.......it's about terrorists vs. our whole melting pot....who wants to go to war....that's the change Barack represents....if ever under attack again, I don't think Barack would waste a second to deploy our troops if it's necessary....we are americans........that's what we do.......BUT don't do it foolishly........As far as Palin is concerned...based on the comments I've read, Palins short lived record speaks for itself....If you didn't have any sense you would think that the way the media is trying to portray her as if she has this astounding record of achievements, she built the state of Alaska herself....TAlk is cheap.....and I say again to Barack...don't try to defend yourself against that.....no comparison......

I find it rather hilarious that the anti-Repubs on this board are foaming at the mouth for Sarah Palin and her family's response to an obviously frustrating situation with an in-law. It seems there are those who would like us to believe both she and her ENTIRE family are vengeful, outrageous, vindicative nuts because they report the poor victimized brother-in-law and respond in the affirmative to the safety officer when asked if there was anyone that had threatened them. Puhlease. Really - they ALL just had it in for poor brother-in-law? Ah, could it just be that this guy was a royal pain and guilty of the accusations? And if you're not going to try to get someone's attention to a person who is possibly dangerous and abusing his authority as a State Trooper when you have some influence, when should you do it? When you are a nobody and no one gives a damn what you have to say? BTW, this particular judge sounds pretty outrageous. Disparging a family member is CHILD ABUSE? Personally I think it is best to present a spouse to your children in the best light possible, divorced or not. However, it is not at all clear that these remarks were made to or in front of the children at all. And frankly, if the kids see their mom get hit and threatened by their dad, I think they get what child abuse is all about anyway. Far more than this judge.
On a side note, it is amazing how those who are anti-Repubs can defend their pet politicians, including good ol Bill for his manipulative abuse of power and lying behavior (not just personally, but under oath as the Commander in Chief of this country!) in office as a family matter that shouldn't be an issue because it was his personal sex life. But then go after Sarah Palin for her family issues. Ridiculous!

By not talking to every Tom, Dick and Harry the trooper is showing more character then an individual who's position has been accelerated by her looks more then her brains. Has anyone every wondered how mostly "Beauty Queens" are successful like on TV. Maybe they have hidden talents to embarrassing to reveal

Your screen id leads me to believe you don't sleep much at night probably worrying about the current administration:-)

The focus of this whole affair is that this is a personal affair which the court system is to resolve through due process. Their should be no other 'pressure' given by parties with political influence no matter what anything thinks.

It is more an example that speaks to the character of someone who is afraid to talk to the press one on one. Best game for her to keep others from searching for who she is by exploring her past and get those Pit Bull B...s and answer the hard questions instead of reading a teleprompter or having her 'team' issues statements.

And what he did hurt more himself, not the country like our current leaders? (war) or other peoples lives (Palinites) for their own gain. Look around the world and countries will take a strong successful leader for the country, and not judge their records something like monica.
