Question to NEWSWEEK:

Are your "Court documents" otherwise confidential court transcripts?
Is there an investigation into how you obtained them?

Petty, vindictive, mean...sounds like Richard Nixon

I see three possible endgame outcomes???.

1. The investigation will end up as a Kangeroo Court resulting in the censure of Gov. Palin along with a fine and possible impeachment (threat of one or actually doing one). Wether they???ll do it (or drop it after the election if McCain/Palin lose the November election) is another matter.

If they do this, it will set off (IMO) a firestorm with Alaskan voters (Palin has an approval rating of 82%) who might very well demand recalls and investigations on the investigators (or trounce them in the next election).

Elton, French, Davis, Hoffman, and Guttenberg must know they???re sitting on a potential powderkeg now that Palin is a VP pick. A lot of big guns will be trolling around, perhaps even trying to dig info/dirt on them. The Palins have lawyered up and are setting up for a fight. Therefore, I can only imagine how far they can push this.

2. The investigation will digg up nothering (per se), but will issue a report saying that Gov. Palin is technially innocent, but abused her power (aka: bullied Monegan). Perhaps a verbal slap on the wrist for Palin or a censure.

I think this is a possible outcome. It gives the Palin detractors their pound of flesh, embarasses the VP pick, gives the MSM and the Obama camp bullet points, but won???t trip a nuclear response (IMO) from the public.

3. McCain and Palin (along with the blogger, Palin supporters, and Alaskan citizens) wage a nasty fight over this and play some serious hardball. Palin has struck a chord with the public and the constant attacks over the past two weeks have made a lot of people cynical at the press/detractors. She has garnered, as they in politics, a coating a teflon.

The troopergate could find itself backing down as key members of the investigation have been outted as Obama supporters. Also, the inflamitory remarks made by Hollis French (October Surprise, damaging to the Gov, possible impeachement) to the press (before any depositions were taken or before any fact-finding was done) have tainted the proceedings.

An Internal State Police Investigation Confirmed That Wooten Used A Taser On His Stepson, Threatened His Father-In-Law With Violence And Drank Beer In His Patrol Car. As the investigation got under way in 2005, Wooten was in the midst of a bitter divorce from Palins sister, Molly McCann. The couple was fighting over custody of their two young children. Accusations flew from both sides. Troopers eventually investigated 13 issues and found four in which Wooten violated policy or broke the law or both: ???Wooten used a Taser on his stepson. ???He illegally shot a moose. ???He drank beer in his patrol car on one occasion. ???He told others his father-in-law would eat a fing lead bullet if he helped his daughter get an attorney for the divorce. Beyond the investigation sparked by the family, trooper commanders saw cause to discipline or give written instructions to correct Wooten seven times since he joined the force, according to Grimes letter to Wooten. Those incidents included: a reprimand in January 2004 for negligent damage to a state vehicle; a January 2005 instruction after being accused of speeding, unsafe lane changes, following too closely and not using turn signals in his state vehicle; a June 2005 instruction regarding personal cell phone calls; an October 2005 suspension from work after getting a speeding ticket; and a November 2005 memo to clarify duty hours, tardiness and personal business during duty time. Good Job, Newsweek. You're holding up your end of the liberal news media bias towards Democrtats, just as usual. Please keep plying us with more stories about how unfit Palin is for leadership, otherwise the American people might actually start to like her. Also, please don't run ANY Biden stories about his plagiarizing of speeches, of plagiarism of ideas, or his complete disregard for facts in arguments. People might get the idea he's just another Democratic dilettante, in a Senate full of them (Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, anyone??) There must be at least one more Democrat with an axe to grind in Alaska that you can quote to sway public opinion against Palin.

If you look at the total picture, it all comes down to the Troopers bringing up the Blue Curtain and just giving minor repricussion to this man. If you had a cop say to you "I will just shoot the Mother F and his family if they interfer" What would you had done? The trooper with the I carry a gun and badge attitude is real scary. The troopers need to have a better check and balance system and get rid of the bad apples. If I was Sarah I would have done the same thing. Don't tell me that "ALL" politician don't use their power to have things changed....they just don't want to admit it.
