How can a judge claim telling the truth about someone who has physically threatened you, proven they are capable of unjustified use of force, and has the means to hurt you be considered disparaging the person. It sounds like taking care to protect yourself and your loved ones. In hindsight Palin should have just taken her brother in law on a hunting trip.

Why dont you all Just give senator palpatine a chance.
She lies on a daily basis about bridge to no where, when the media has proof that she did support it before it flopped.

She gets paid for staying at home for 19months when the money should of been used as her travel and lodging expense.

She thinks god told bush to invade iraq , because its a task that must be done. WTF is this lady thinking. all of sudden, we went from the War agains Terror, to The War on Gods Behalf. this lady is insane.

SO I ASK YOU ALL, GIVE senator palpatine (THE SITH LORD) A CHANCE. I BEG OF YOU TO DO SO.

I love how senator palpatine keeps using the whole " I told Congress, Thanks but No Thakns To Bridge To No Where" earth to senator palpatine, do you not know that the media has caught on to your lies about this comment you keep repeating. who are you fooling?

Remember, she only has one speech she has memorized so far so until they write her a new one it's the same old lies. Amazing how no one seems concerned that if she is really VP material, then sit down and get grilled like the others. Good or bad, at least we'll know who she is beyond 'soccer mom' and mayor of a small town. I didn't mention her being Gov since it has been a short gig, and her lies tell a story that she leaves the actual work to those below her.

Amajzing how McCain's vetting process didn't turn up any of these things, or do they really don't care about the 2 current ethics investigations going on with their VP pick BEFORE they picked her. That anti-American Hubby doesn't help either.

    • Posted By: mrzoid @ 09/10/2008 11:58:20 AM

No, no, no. Politics is boring; they talk about all of these dry topics that most people don't understand, and how they're going to fixthings that most people don't care about. So what do Americans like? A good show. Were talking about a society that tunes into pro-wrestling each week than watch Presidential Debates. Springer became as popular as Oprah in a year. People like drama and dirt, because its easy and mind-numbing, and it doesn't talk about math or science. McCain is giving people what they want, and i think he'd gain votes if he promised gladiator fights in the Rose Garden every tuesday.

Mccain vetting process is GOOGLE :)

  • Posted By: ckeledjian @ 09/10/2008 11:47:07 AM

Well, we know that Palin is good at badmouthing others and now we have evidence from a judge that she did. She lacks basic ethics. If this happened in your workplace you would have a strong case of harassment. If she ever becomes president by accident, God saves us all. We'll be in conflict with every nation in the world.

    • Posted By: rocude @ 09/10/2008 11:57:35 AM

Yeah, she is soooo good at defending herself from the attacks the Dems threw at her the moment she was nominated and have continued with. How dare her be so defiant and talk back to community organizers calling her small time and unqualified, the nerve! God help us if anyone ever attacks the US and McCain and her have the back bone to stand up to them. The Dems started the attacks the moment her name was announced and she's not allowed to argue against them? Really?

    • Posted By: Pupster @ 09/10/2008 11:49:49 AM

She likes to go after personal enemies and those she perceives as not loyal to her. Sound familiar? That's Bush and Alberto Gonzales at the Justice Dept. Palin is a carbon copy.

I agree with a previous post; if McCain-Pail are elected, America will get exactly what it deserves. I've resigned myself to the fact that they will win, so I'll brace for wars in Iran, Pakistan, and (heaven help us) Russia.

    • Posted By: j.n @ 09/10/2008 11:54:26 AM

I agree with you 100% but I do not believe that McCain is stupit enough to attact Russia, the Us has been fighting two third world countries for seven and five years and and have not been able to put a dent in them, these are countries with no military at all,Russia has a military, plus nukesif he wins I hope that he gets some advisors that has more sense than he does.

  • Posted By: forte88 @ 09/10/2008 11:53:47 AM

If McCain would have picked Lieberman as a runningmate, I would have at least believed he was trying to be a little bipartison, and a "Maverick". But his pick of this obvious far right idealogical extremist, tells me the opposite. This is Dick Cheney in a dress, and maybe worse! I'm dissappointed in McCain for selling out to the religious right. What happened to the McCain of 2000? That McCain, had I respect for. With the blatant lies in his campaign ads and speeches, and the most recent atrocious ad that nearly accuses Obama of Pedifelia, is just sickening. What happened to the straight talk express? Doesn't truth matter anymore?

Seems to me Palin & her family are on power stroids. There is a reason the judge warned the Palin family. Seems to me Palin has a history of firing people who cross her path like a librianian upholding the first admendment by refusing to ban books Wasn't it the justice department that illegally & politally fired US Atty Generals for not going along with their ideologies. Maybe since McCain gave up picking his own VP in exchange for Christian right votes who's fanatical ideology is not majority America I feel the Forth Estate so vitally healthy for a Democracy owe it to Americans to vet this woman. Like where she stands on our Constitution, the Bill of Rights. Vet her on her position of feeling rape victims should pay for their own investigation while the purpatrators skip. Is that justice in America yet she feels she is expert enough to want to revamp our justice system. How about her bragging about her anti-abortion stance while rejecting legistaion to help teens moms get on their feet. What christian compassion while expecting Alaska to foot the bill for her family! Who are the eletist! She bragg about her fiscal accum. If she's so good why is it her town was several million in debt when she left office but had none before!

    Listen, people ...
if some bully hurts your family, what MAN would go to the neighbor and straighten it out or have the GUTS enough to FACE the problem?
NONE. ZERO. Big TALK only from a MAN. Then they cower in the corner while the WOMAN of the house actually FACES the bully or his parents and ADDRESSES the situation.
WOMEN have the GUTS enough to GO AFTER THE BULLY and STOP him.
From every neighborhood. In every town. In every classroom.
The MOTHER, the WOMAN STOPS THE BULLIES!
Palin is the typical AMERICAN BULLY-FIGHTER.
I think McCain has FINALLY LISTENED to my neighborhood and your neighborhood and America's neighborhood!

Please do not misunderstand my intention on the courage of men (or women) in the military, whom I hold in the highest of esteem.
I am speaking of the daily routine of ''don't mess with my family'' mindset of every woman.
The courage of battle versus the courage of forthrightness in everyday life was never meant to intertwine in my comment.

    • Posted By: mt_redoubt @ 09/10/2008 11:23:08 AM

Don't you know that Todd Palin was equally involved in all of Sarah Palin's machinations in Troopergate? Frank Bailey (if you will trouble yourself to listen to the recording) specifically states that TODD AND SARAH are upset. There are emails from Todd and he is carbon copied on all emails relating this and many other matters from the Governor's office, including official State business. Sarah did NOT take this up on her own.

    • Posted By: lm_cco @ 09/10/2008 11:11:52 AM

Men in general don't have a problem compartmentalizing and separating their work responsibilities and their home life. Many women -- republican and democrat -- don't either. That is the standard for being within the law (for government officials) and for being considered professional in every other job. Had McCain treated this as a serious hiring decision rather than purely as a strategy for energizing voting blocks, he could certainly have found a Republican woman who could do this. Or, since he's making a big deal about having Democrats in his administration, why didn't HE ask Hilary to be his VP>

  • Posted By: Vizcious @ 09/10/2008 11:31:42 AM

Take off your blinders, Republican'ts. She and her has been harrassing him and even the judge acknowledged it.

    • Posted By: rocude @ 09/10/2008 11:40:50 AM

Republican blinders off. She and her has been harrassing him and he and even the he/she the judge acknowledged it when she and her were a private citizen prior to she and her being governor. How dare she and her harrass a guy tasering her nephew, the nerve of she and her. Liberal blinders on.

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 09/10/2008 11:51:24 AM

Those are allegations made by Palin AFTER she was told to back off. Smacks of desperate attempts to justify her harassment to a judge who saw past her bs. They are allegations by Palin and her family, not law enforcement. I can say someone hit me but does that automatically make it true?

  • Posted By: mrzoid @ 09/10/2008 11:50:26 AM

Here's the truth: The reason ultra-conservatives are thrilled about Palin, is the reason Dems are deadset against her; John McCain is putting her one breath from thePresidency. Dems are terrified that McCain will drop dead and Palin will become President, bringing all of her nutjob far-right ideology into the Oval Office. Far-righters are hoping that McCain is elected and then drops dead in order for Palin to bring her nutjob far-right ideology into the Oval Office. Republicans know that McCain isnt a conservative. They know hes telling them what they want to hear; thts why there was no enthusiasm in the base. Now the ultra-conservatives see a chance for a whackjob to get into the White House because of a circumventing of the process. The primaries are designed to weed these kind of people out, but McCain decided to backdoor the system in the hopes to get elected. Now Repubs are thrilled at the prospect of a incopasetated McCain, and a Penticostal, "end of days" President Palin.

Palin is dangerous to have for VP of America. McCain is so boring he needed to get someone to shake up his campaign. I guess Palin and the Republicans don't have a problem with her being called "hot", etc. If the Democrats called her "hot" she'd say they were sexist! Republicans you can't have it both ways!

    McCain/Palin NEVER!!!!!

  • Posted By: mrzoid @ 09/10/2008 11:38:33 AM

Im ok with Palin being an attack dog; but if your going to play that role, stop whining about reciprication. This is like the girlfriend who throws objects at her boyfriend when shes pissed, but if he fights back, she calls the cops justifying it by saying, "you cant hit a girl". You want equal rights? Than learn to take a punch without tearing up.

    • Posted By: summer4077 @ 09/10/2008 11:49:30 AM

Did you see the latest? McCain's camp is in an uproar b/c of Barack Obama saying, "You can give a pig some lipstick, but a pig it will remain. You can wrap an old fish in a newspaper and call it change, but after eight years it will, in any case, continue to stink. We have had enough!" Even though McCain said the SAME THING about Hillary last year. Even though Palin made several swipes at both Obama and his wife. She professes to be a pitt bull in lipstick...well then stop whining! It's politics! If you can't take it, get out of the race!

  • Posted By: Moderate Dad @ 09/10/2008 11:22:15 AM

Sarah Palin is dangerous and young women voters who've flocked to McCain because they think he's better equipped to protect national security and because he selected Palin as his running mate need to wake up and smell the roses! Sarah Palin is dangerous for America and John McCain's pick of Palin indicates he's dangerous too!

    • Posted By: chehil @ 09/10/2008 11:46:59 AM

I have been saying this for a long, long time. This man is intent on continueing a senseless war that should not have had happened, and as a result more than people have lost thier jobs this year within the first six months, than two decades put together. If these people think that the republicans care anything about them, vote them in. Then you will see your lifes worth gone for good, you'll be starving, bet you don't know how to go a garden. Oh by the way, products cost money to keep the garden from being eaten up by the pest in insects. Stay on this blind sight of a ticket and believe all the lies being told by the republicans, you will reap what you sow.

    • Posted By: SavethisCountry @ 09/10/2008 11:42:10 AM

Bravo. Well said. Unfortunately most of the Palinites are voting from the heart, not the head. Love your dress, so you'd be great in the white house. Our destiny has to come from knowing everything about who we are choosing and weighing it across the board (Hey Palin, why are you so scared to speak alone to the press? A McCain got your tongue, or is it another lobbyist) to getting us out of this mess we are in today. There is a lot to fix.

  • Posted By: Justmethinking @ 09/10/2008 11:21:22 AM

Why do you all assume she is not telling the truth about the possibility that he did threaten her and he r family? I'll tell you why... It is in your political interest to smear her. And just to put the shoe on the other foot, it is in my political interest to show that she is innocent until proven guilty. None of us were there. NONE. The funny part is, no matter what comes out of this, the people who were foing to vote for Obama, will. The people who were going to vote for McCain, will. These little diatribes don't sway ONE vote. NOT ONE VOTE. We all waste our time arguing, but look at it this way, we all get more typing experience.

Saying she never supported the Bridge to now where, but the media has shown proof that she did. why would i want to be her for? also we do not even the know the details of the divorce. so both sides cant make a determination of what extacly happend.

    • Posted By: lm_cco @ 09/10/2008 11:36:30 AM

If this man threatened the person of the Governor of Alaska, I would expect that those in charge of the Governor's security would have done something about it. This was an issue with Palin's sister. Palin, being a strong, dominant person who enjoys a good fight chose to get involved. That involvement should have ended at the office door. "Maverick" means "Rebel". Doesn't it seem odd that such a person would even want the job of being the chief EXECUTIVE and ENFORCER of the law?

You Repugnantcans are absolutely a disgrace to this country and everything it stands for. Bush takes your civil rights away and you explain it away as "well, I'm not talking to terrorists so i have nothing to worry about." Once agin the low-info Repugnantcans supporters miss the ENTIRE point. An erosion of rights leads to a complete surrender of those rights. I'm sure plenty of Germans said something similar in the 1930s, "well, I'm not Jewish so i have nothing to worry about." The issue here with Palin is NOT whether or not Wooten deserved it. The issue is how Palin tried to take care of the problem. If she abused her power to take care of a family problem what's to stop her from doing the same thing with a political opponent? Are unAmerican voters so stupid that you will give us a third Bush term. There's still time for you Repugnantcans to denounce the darkside and help return this country to its rightful place in theworld.

Pain may have been the recipient of the funding,as a state governor, but Obama and Biden were the originators.[one reason why this has dropped off of the Obama radar in recent days is due precisely to these revelations].

    • Posted By: SavethisCountry @ 09/10/2008 11:46:12 AM

The judge had the right and responsibility to 'parent' the 'children' if they were making bad choices. In this case Palin and her family needed to be reminded for their own good. Seems he was right in that this will come back to haunt her as an example of Lipstick Pit Bull attitude towards other people. She went to the Cheney school of 'my way or get out of the way'.
