    Okay, I think people need to start really looking into ths womans background and ethics, although I think it would be great progress to have a woman VP or President, it is not enough to just be a femaie, we need one with integrity.       Your statement is correct,but you are now asking people to use common sense,which a lot of people do not have,like some people only want the papers to report the positive things that she has done and ignore the negative ones,even Hitler had positives along with his negatives,even George Bush has some positives.

      Are these kind of like that 'banning books' article that ended up being a straight out LIE. Even going as far as accusing her of firing the librarian who wouldn't ban the books? Then we find out that not only did the librarian not get fired, but she also says that Palin never asked her to ban any books and the list of books that she supposedly wanted banned is fake and many one the list were not even published at the time of the so-called incident? If all you have on her is a bunch of lies and half-truths about books and an ex-brother in law, I'd say she has done pretty good. Obambi has much worse things than that in his closet, as we have found.

    Please. The bully approach is for the weak minded, and in this case Palin is the bully. Think about this beyond the petty politics she is playing and the 'hollywood' style snow job on the voters. IF she is a professional, she should step out of any involvement with the matter. Whether she abuses it or not, it does set her up for issues just like this. Tells the country a lot about how she will 'bully' the people that don't think her way. Kind of like someone who over the past 8 years has bullied our once great and leading country into a second class citizen. So get real. Open your ears. Look at the candidates without the shiny things they are standing behind. If she is such a great candidate, have her talk to the press one on one without being prompted. Reaks of someone who has a lot to hide, or as they say, "we thought you didn't know what your are doing, but opening your mouth you proved it."

    As the Wooten vs. Wooten divorce case dragged on, the judge's concern about family "disparagement" appeared to deepen. In an order signed Jan. 31, 2006, which granted Palin's sister and Wooten a final divorce decree, Judge Suddock continued to express concern about attacks by Palin's family on Wooten and even threatened to curb Palin's sister's child custody rights if family criticism of Wooten continued.

    We have all had these types of issues. It would be hard to find a family that has not been touched by a messy divorce and custody battles so to "dtribit" if you think the Palin family is the only one with family issues you should think again.

    It's the way you handle yourself during these very trying times. For Sarah Palin to abuse her power as a governor or even as mayor of Wasilla is very disconcerting. It makes me think that she is nothing, but a female Dick Cheney! If you are looking for someone who is the mirror image of Bush/Cheney you only have to look for the "lipstick" in this campaign!

      Been there, done that? Really? I must have missed it. When were the MSNBC , NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NYT and Wash Post investigators scattered across Chicago and Delaware? I guess if Palin were friends with a domestic terrorist, or her pastor wanted to damn America, then all would be OK by them. The fact that Biden milks the taxpayers for his daily commute ... I guess that story is coming? I know there is no way your anti-American empty suit can't get elected without media support, but how about showing just a wee bit of fairness?

    Sour Grapes: She a woman who lives in a real woman's world and has to fight twice as hard as any man to get to where she is today. Of course Newsweek is going to report anything negative it can and slant the truth. They are the biggest "Obama is the NEW GOD" supporter, next to all the other Hollywood rags, owned and dictated too by the Democratic party.
    If there was a reason for me to vote for McCain it is SHE!! She as as qualified as Obama and is running for VIce, not president so that dammed well qualifies her for the position.

    Hollis Frence is not the person over the legislative investigation. A special investigator was appointed to oversee this. ABUSE OF POWER is a big deal especially when you claim to be a maverick and that you are above corruption. It is BIG, BIG deal when you step into national and international politics.     Comment: Individuals who have been tasered describe identifiable burn marks that last up to 3 weeks. Many require hospitalization afterwards.

    The allegations that the trooper tasered a 10 year-old girl with 50,000 volts and nobody said or did anything about it at the time appears to be sheer nonsense. It just doesn't make any sense that no adult knew about it and, given the hostility of the divorce, that nobody pursued criminal charges.

    If there were any substance to the allegations, the Barracuda would have had the trooper for lunch, and it would not have been a couple of years later.

    And if she did know about it and didn't take action for 2 years, then she has some real problems and those problems will soon be ours.

    Sadly this is not the first time Palin has abused her power or gotten caught in a lie. Every day she repeats her lie about opposing the "bridge to nowhere". Every media outlet has exposed that lie but she still clings to the fantasy that she rejected the bridge (she sure kept the money!) Does America need a pathological liar in the White House, after 8 years of a President who lies at every turn?

    Wooten is quoted as saying to his father-in-law "I'm going to put an f-ing bullet in your head." Do you need to know anything else about this man? He shouldn't be a law enforcement officer. If that occurred in my family I'd do everything in my power to make that person unable to act upon the verbal threat. Palin did everything right and the Troopers Union and Monegan are chumps for putting up with Wooten's garbage.

I rest my case! That is the exact reason she does not need to be the VP based on those irresponsible actions.     For those who would defend Governor Palin's actions with claims that Wooten was a bad guy, I would ask what it was that Mr. Monegan did to deserve losing his livelihood. Whether or not Wooten is a jerk (and I have no evidence he is), there is no excuse for using the power of government office for a personal vendetta. Refusing to cooperate in the investigation is a big red flag. What is Sarah Palin hiding?

      It's apparent that you hadn't seen the CNN interview of Wooten or you wouldn't have any question that he is a total jerk. Also, if I was a betting woman, I'll bet that Monegan didn't like working for a woman and that he is putting a huge spin on the issue for revenge. There is not big red flag accept for fear on the part of Obama supporters.

    Look we have no idea if he tasered his stepson - or what the truth of the matter regarding his character is....the bottom-line is the idea did she abuse her power in an attempt to help her sister. I am not sure why people assume that the allegations made by the Palins are the the truth - would it shock anyone if either party had spread lies in the middle of a custody dispute???
