Society is so stressed with the right now issues it can't see past the current politics. After all, the future isn't really ours and the fallout from policies can last a long, long time for the generations that follow. Remember there was a time when our Grandparents thought they were living a modern life too, with their own current events, and I'm sure they couldn't have foreseen the world we now live in. The domestic situation is really not significant. What is significant is that Alaska legislators felt the need to launch an abuse of power investigation, regardless of the root cause. Palin has only been in office 20 months! McCain is old enough that there is a real chance Palin would have to take over. Aren't there conservative women who have been tested a little more than her? McCain's decision making is already looking shaky to me.

Sarah Palin strikes me as a mean, sarcastic, vindictive person. Her entire speech at the RNC was mean, sarcastic, disparaging jabs at Barack Obama and Democrats. I have no doubt that fans of right-wing hate radio eat this stuff up. But it's not what I look for in a leader. And I'm tired of Democrats cowering to the 26% that still support Bush. That's who's fired up by this VP pick.

As opposed to your candidate with no real experience who would be the heartbeat of America.

Palin's behavior in this domestic dispute is definitely an issue in this election. For 8 years Americans have suffered humiliation and abuse at the hands of a president who thinks nothing of abusing his power. Americans need facts so they can prevent repeating bad history.

I think that the women of America should be outraged that they are being used, by Palin, who has no real experience to be a heartbeat away from being President, and the only reason she was chosen is to get women's votes.
