Just because I'm Black: A White male ask his Black friend, Are you voting for Barack Obama because he is Black? The Black male responded by saying Why Not! Black males in this nation are pulled over everday just because thet are black, passed over for promotion just because they are black: considered to be criminals just because they are black, and thousands of you want be votiing for him just because he black, however you don't have a problem with that. This country was built with the sweat and whip off the black slaves' backs, and now their descendents of those same slaves has a chance to lead the same country, were we weren't even considered to be people, where we weren't allowed to be educated, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, or even vote. So yes! I'm going to vote for him! But not because he is Black, but because he represents hope, he is change and now he allows me to understand when my grandson says that he wants to be presiden when he grows up. It is not a fairy tale but a short term goal. He now sees, to understand and know that it can be achieve, withstand and do anything just because he is Black.

Saddams rule! Weren't we supposed to be going after Osama Bin Laden? Weren't we supposed to have weapons of mass destruction, despite the fact that every weapon they owned in Iraq was sold to them by the United States, which by the way was done under a Republican president. Do you really want to go there?

It's sad that the Liberal stations put nothing but negativity on their newscasts regarding the Iraq war and terrorism by showing dead American soldiers and how the war supposibly is failing. But other news stations show Iraqi children sitting on an American soldiers lap and other Iraqis thanking the Americans from taking them out of Saddams rule. There is a bias media and it is the negative liberal media. That is why Olberman and Mathews got their shows cut from MSNBC. People are tired of their negative spew!

And people actually wonder why other countries no longer respect, nor revere us anymore. Just look what we keep putting into office, people who only care about themselves, their wallets and their buddies wallet. Come on people, it is past time to wake up, especially those of you that Republicans keep continuing to dupe into voting for them, yelling change, change, only after the hear it from someone else. Just wake up from the dumbing down they have been practicing on you for eight miserable years and will continue to practice for four more if you don't wake up. If nothing else, please wake up long enough to keep your house, after all, they already have your pensions and your children paying for their greed when even they become of age. Don't you get it yet?

Comment: It is a very sad day when a comment about lipstick becomes bigger news than the current president's administration becoming embroiled in a scandal involving big oil and how this very relationship short changed Americans who are currently paying through the nose at the pump and everywhere else because of scandals like this one. But just chalk it up to the lower 95% of this country, who have to take yet another one for the top 5%'s team.

Like I posted earlier, if McCain would reference a monkey/watermellon and Obama in the same sentence then the Democrats would scream racist. Thats for sure!

Level of education people. Even if this level of educated citizenry believes the lies, and don???t notice that Mr. McCain has not to date spoken of an issue, this populous stays in the same states. They make noise, blog hate, discriminate, insult and use hostile verbiage (see Lori) while propping up an inept VP candidate, and a Presidential candidate who should be leaving office, not running for it. Fact-check pretty much says it all. All he did was lie and he continues to do so - and will do it so long as it works. The more progressive states will not bend either, so it's coming down to the wire. Vote! Do not let this Super-Liar and his Zealot inexpert mother win.

Please hold the comments for after the debates. Obama will continue to stutter and who knows maybe piggy back some of McCains answers like he did in the debates with Hillary. Can you say (yes to offshore drilling now? Obama can now!) Then we will see who has the experience, leadership, and skills to lead our great Nation. I have a feeling a lot of liberals will move to France after all is said and done because the Conservatives and Independents have sat on their hands too long! It;s time to take this country back with a true warrior/patriot in McCain and a mother/career woman in Palin.

Do not equate this election to a mere game of basketball, where the ref's have been bought off (as if that hasn't happened recently). This is real and is not a game, these people are cheating you and every American out of what is rightfully the fruits of your labors, not theirs. They are making it theirs by hook or crook, mostly crook, so wake up and stop buying into it.

I used to be a Democrat back in the Bill Clinton Days and no, I did not vote for Bush in the past elections. However, seeing ALL the issues and weighing them ALL out, I would vote Republican now because I cannot vote for a party that caters to Liberal/Fascist views. I do not want condoms and sex ed taught to my little ones at school, I do not want them to be taught that experimentation of homosexuality is good for them, liberal agendas shoved into the faces of conservatives, banning of the word GOD in everything we see, higher taxes raised that will affect everyone,I do not want a leader that will allow judges to judge from their own standards and not uphold the true meanings of the constitution. These are all things that will happen under the Obama "CHANGE". Change that our children and people of America should not have to go through!

The fact-check on that topic is four inches to your right. Read it. You already know the content, but you have to keep the lie alive.

Mr. McCain will win - Florida, Georgia, NC and SC, ND and SD, Wyoming, Virginia, Nevada (maybe), Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Texas (What???s left of it after the storm), Mississippi, Kansas, Kentucky (Of course) Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Arizona (Of course). And Alaska ??? the second most corrupt state run by a clumsy, ham-fisted, righteous lobby hound (She is big oil).

Comment: In a lot of ways, the coverage of this election can be effectively likned to a schoolyard fight, inwhich the fighters are goaded to fight by the instigators standing on the sidelines, who care not about who wins, but that somebody throws some punches. The media has been acting the role of the instigators in this schoolyard bout and they slant the field by allowing themselves to only report vigorously on the false cries of foul by the Republican Party. Nevermind the reality of the situation is the fact that you have Republicans playing dirty and everyone knows it, but refuse to acknowledge it. The moment the victim points this out, they are called whiners, unless it is the Republican Party crying foul, and they do, even when they committed the only foul, which just also happens to be flagrant.

Sounds a little like trying to see an NBA game refereed where one team is getting all the fouls called on them. Well, the coach is responsible for making adjustments to the way the game is being called and play on. This is what I see going on. It is like a game of chess and whoever makes a move needs to counter and play their cards right. This is for the Presidency so this will show who and which party plays their hand the best will win in the end! Yes the media and the internet play vital roles, but the truly informed voter will make the right choice in the end!

The Republican interview with Cambell Brown was very telling of the Republican party, yet, not one news agency has picked up on the story and there truly is a story there. If you do not believe me, just go to CNN's website and see the interview for yourself, it says it all.

  • Posted By: Alongwayback @ 09/11/2008 1:14:11 PM

Here is a question or two for the Republicans: What makes you believe that you are going to bring about change from your party to your party, when we know that you are only going to continue Bush's failed policies of the last eight years, for lack of any type of a new plan? How will your new plan work and exactly, what is it? Will you vigorously prosecute all of the law breakers of the current administration to the full extent of the laws you swear to uphold, even if that law breaker is George Bush himself? Tell me this and put your answer in writing for all Americans to see and in such a way that we can hold you to it, and not just by your words. I dare any news media interviewer to ask these questions of any of the candidates currently running for the Whitehouse and of any candidate running for political office in this country. It will never happen, so far, only Campbell Brown of CNN has had the guts to even stay on point in a Republican interview and now no one wants to talk to her.

A movement in America truly needs to form right now and it needs to be called just what we need to demand, "Truth in advertising". We should not just limit it to manufacturers, but apply it across the board to include those running for all public offices. Make them prove their statements by the facts and not trumped up personal attacks on their opponent that only serve to distract everyone from the real issues and from asking the questions we really want the answers to.

The proof of irrational reporting and interviews: The fact that no one stays on point, except a rcent interview I witnessed involving Campbell Brown. The willingness to discuss with the Republican respondants, issues that are not rational to the election, such as, lipstick remarks, which the Republican candidate himself used and nothing was said about it, but now he has total outrage over, despite the fact that they purposefully and clearly took it out of context and added to it by saying Obama was talking about Sarah Palin, as if. Come on media, stop helping the Republicans look any sillier than they already sound. We represent change from the Republican Party to the Republican, so where's the change?

Comment: From top to bottom, no matter what channel you view them on, unless it happens to be a channel they own, Republicans seem to only answer questions that benefit their candidate. They excel in avoiding even th simplest question, no matter how directly stated, which would require them to answer without the benefit of a lie, unless they are backed into a corner, which usually makes them go silent, as to not answer at all. I have watched numerous interviewers ask legitimate questions, only to hear the Republican respondant talk about everything, anything, but the question asked. My uestion to the media everywhere: At what point are you going to start pointing this out and quit giving the Republican ticket an easy out?

I could say the same thing about the Liberal channels which there are plenty of. Larry King, CNN, etc all put Obama on a pedestal and mock McCains service to this country. They want to cling to the "more of the same phrase" when that is the only weak comeback the Democrats have. The Democrats started the mudslinging with Palin and trying to dig up dirt. Biden better be careful what he says at the debates because that could be the downfall of the democrats or should I say liberalists because that is what that party has become. Which is why the Clintons are not happy about the "change" that Obama will bring!

How can you expect to find rational voters, when the reporting and questioning is irrational to begin with? How about this, when are we going to find rational interviewers? You know, the ones of old, who could not and would not settle for this bs the Republicans do in nearly all of the interviews I have seen since this election started?

In the end of all things, Obama should tell America to vote, not by personality, not by slick attack ads, but by the content and character of the message and the person delivering it. You see, if America truly looks at the McCain/Palin ticket, they will see more of the same. I say this because; John McCain is no longer the man he once was back in 2000. This is because the same machine he now uses with glee, was used quite effectively against him in 2000 (Think back America). John McCain seems more a mere shell of his former self, having been paid for by the very machine he used to hate and would truly from time to time fight against. In 2000, John McCain was truly a ???Maverick??? in almost every sense of the word, but no longer does that person exist. As for Sarah Palin, she is nothing more than a tool. How she can allow herself to be used that way is beyond me, but then again, we are talking about another Harriet Meir, only with a little more experience. But true to Republican form, she does not come without scandal either, which I guarantee, Republicans will find a way to sweep under the carpet before we find out too much on her. I say this because, even as we speak, McCain has dispatched a team to Alaska to disparage any attempts to obtain the truth of her. This was done simply because we already know too much about what little we have already learned and she actually holds extremist views on a wide range of issues even the conservative Republican base cringes at, but are willing to overlook because of its??? desire to win. Win not for the American people, but for themselves and their almost endless list of cronies, who have and stand to profit greatly from having a Republican White House! So, take stock America and be careful whom you vote for, this just might be our last election where we actually have the opportunity to vote!
???McCain/Palin 08??????two bridges to nowhere fast???
???John McCain has been consistent???consistently for the rich???
