After Palin's introductory speech at the RNC, I noticed that Fact.Check had 4-5 pages worth of corrections. Palin is running Fact Check ragged with one lie after another. No wonder Dick Cheney has endorsed her.
If you check out Michael Kinsley's article "Alaskonomics" you'll find that Palin is really running a sort of racket, picking up where disgraced Ted Stevens left off. take Palin's penchant for denouncing ear marks and federal subsidies one day and accepting the next. ADD McCain's attempt to suppress the Troopergate invetigation. (What is Palin trying to hid by suppressing the investigatin.) And you asking for a big time rip off, just like we've witnessed for the last 8 years. (By the way were was Maverick John McCain when defense contractors like Halliburton were robbing the country blind.)

In a way Palin reminds me of Evita. (Don't cry for me Argentina.) The folks in Argentina loved her but very few realized that Evita and her husband were robbing them blind. Must history repeat itself?

17-for-18 in nothing but lies. They never tell the truth, they never stay on or even begin issue. And the issues concerning policy that fact-check disparaged shows that Mr. McCain has no policy. They just lie.

17-for-18 on fact-check. Mr.McCain and Ms. Palin never, ever stops lying. Ever.

    And is anyone surprised?

Comment: My main concern is that all of the Daryl and Daryls out there don't spend 5 minutes per day reading about the facts and instead are sucked into the lifestory of the moose-hunting mom and her telepromter-driven, one-trick dog and pony show and McCain's "straight-sleeze express".

McCain is just an older, slightly more senile version of "W", and Palin is Dick Cheney in a skirt and carrying a bible.

keep the pressure on for thruth, we deserve better in our governnent than the 'McSame" type of govt. we've had for 8 years. If they are distorting truth now, it's not about the well being of the people as McCain truly has proven to have, it's about winning at all costs. We DESERVE TRUTH. WAKE UP AMERICA! GET MOTIVATED, GET MAD......LET'S DO WHAT'S RIGHT AND GET OUR COUTRY BACK TO BEING PATRIOTIC! TO WANTING WHAT IS BEST, NOT BECOME COMPLACENT.

Actually, anyone who believes all of the viscious lies from the McCain camp are naive or stupid or Ideologues???. I guess there is one more choice, a combination of all three.

How can McCain be believed about anything?

The man has NO CREDIBILITY LEFT

  • Posted By: tiredoflies @ 09/10/2008 10:08:44 PM

How many lies does McCain have to tell before people say enough?

This man obviously has no honor.

Sarah Palin will turn out to be a huge liability for McCain. She's an ignorant, loose cannon and the cracks are already starting to show. Its a shame that voters in this country are so shallow to be sucked in by a pretty face and that cheerleader enthusiasm. Sarah Palin is an extremist...Koch is right to be scared of her...we should all be.

Apparently McCain said that the reason he decided to go to the whole traditional lies and deceipt devisive campaign is that we are being punnished for Obama not giving him his town hall meetings.

You'd think they'd have the decency to be ashamed of telling lies but they're doing it over and over so I guess not.

I think that Obama has taken the higher road than most politicians and that's what I admire. What is so obvious about McCain is that he chose Palin to attract women, yet he doesn't even know what women want - do you think we want a person who would be against abortion in cases of rape and incest? NOT. Do you think we want a woman who wants to teach abstaining from sex in all schools, when her own daughter, 17, didn't even follow that? NOT. Do you think we want a woman who has already stood before America and lied? NOT. Do you want a woman who slices and dices her hunt? NOT. There's so much about Palin that is scary - she believes God is the reason we are in Iraq? If McCain was a good decision maker, perhaps he would have at least sought out a woman who reflected the American woman's views. Not just one who has less than two years experience as Governor, who has charged her state for living in her own house "because it's legal," yet stands before America and says she stood up to the "old boys" club and got rid of that type of spending. We are not fools, we are smart women. And these women will not fall for a pathetic political tactic. I am an independent, middle-class working woman and I believe that we are ready for change, but Sarah Palin will bring us backward, not forward. She is very scary when you listen to her. She does not epitomize what change is about. She stands for what SHE is about. Repression, same ole politics and definitely part of the good ole boys club - lies. Sad.

my only advice to all Americans is to look very closely at the tactics being used by each candidate and each party.... as that is exactly how they will operate in office...
Haven't George W Bush taught us anything at all??? Lying, deceitful actions now are the character traits of a man.... "By their fruits ye shall know them"... their actions tell the complete story.... lies and deceit will follow them straight to the Whitehouse...

    MCCAIN APPROVED THE MESSAGE.

How can people support these ballfaced liars.

IF MCCAIN AND HIS TEAM WILL LIE SO BLATENTLY TO THE PEOPLE NOW, THEN THEY WILL DO IT WHEN IN OFFICE.

If that is not more of the same, I don't know what is.

factcheck.org should run it's own ad, correcting the McCain ad and run in in the exact same markets that McCain ran his. I hope they will.

  • Posted By: bwlear @ 09/10/2008 3:51:32 PM

Guess this is one fact that wont be in their next ad. Once upon a time Sen McCain was an honorable man for whom I, even as a Democrat, would have voted for. Now he is as bad a Rove and the rest of the bunch in Washington. Maybe Bush was right about him in 2000. God help us if he and the " stealth V.P. " are elected.
