    About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

    'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'
    'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'
    'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

    'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'

    'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
    2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
    3. from courage to liberty;
    4. from liberty to abundance;
    5. from abundance to complacency;
    6. from complacency to apathy;
    7. from apathy to dependence;
    8. from dependence back into bondage'

    Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

    Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
    Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
    Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
    Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

    Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

    If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

    If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

    WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE,
    ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

    "Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'

    "Mr. Davis is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus."

    'Rank snobbery'

    Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.

    "The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.

    "The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

    The Antichrist!:
    When George Soros failed to obtain the election of his candidate, John Kerry, in 2004, he brooded for a while, even said he might get out of politics altogether, but he just couldn???t stop himself. He has stated publicly that he wishes to burst the ???bubble of American supremacy,??? because he says our preeminence in the world is a detriment to global ???equilibrium.??? So far, he has failed, but he keeps on trying.

    And Mr. Soros has made no secret either of the fact that he sees the shortest way to effect political shake-ups, what he terms ???regime changes,??? is through very difficult economic conditions.

    America has not yet felt the full force of Soros style economic shock treatment. But others have.

    Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically in comparative worth almost overnight.

    When the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 threatened to spread globally, George Soros was right in the thick of it. Soros was accused by the Malaysian Prime Minister of causing the collapse with his monetary machinations, and he was branded in Thailand as an ???economic war criminal??? who ???sucks the blood from the people.??? Right in the middle of this crisis, Soros dashed off his book, The Crisis of Global Capitalism, which demanded a ???third way??? toward economic stability.

    Wake up, America, before it is too late!!!!

    Surprise, surprise....NOT! It would be laughable if it wasn't soo sad. Republicans had their candidate debating on his strong suit, foriegn policy, and he talked about establishing a relationship of trust with the people of troubled nations without paying the slightest bit of attention to what those people will hear when they talked to a people who are troubled within our own shores. You plan to offer them a chance to embrace your way of government while you show them thst you will most definately oppress them throughout the political entire process. He spoke about what we are winning in Iraq without telling America went to Iraq so that our oil companies can do business there again, something that has not been since 1972. In that he told a truth. Shell opened its first office there in the same week that our markets have failed here. "Mission accomplished", as our Republican president stated. The system on which all government is built upon in modern times originated from the very same people you are intent upon keeping out of its use.
    Politics- The science of winning and holding control of government.
    Psychology- The science of studying a population's way of thinking in order to be able to control them.
    Philosophy- Exchange of ideas and opinions
    Polytheism- Freegom to worship in personal choice of religion.
    Penal- A system to punish and remove from society those people who don't conform with the previously stated .
    We called it the code of Hummurabi. You learned to read it after you found the Philospher's Stone.
    Where did you find it? Right there in the same lands where you are now talking about forming relationships. You are afraid of Nubian (brown-skinned, curly haired) people having a voice in this country because you are afraid that our voice being heard around the world will be heard as that of a people who has been constantly hurt through your use of government. In all of my 40+ years of life it has been a struggle for Nubians to cast a ballot. Instead of dogs, fire hoses or being flat out banned because of color, you have found an even more insidious way to prevent our voice from being heard. Its politics as usual for you, though, to want to silence anyone who wants to speak out against you. In the meantime, you are squandering a resource that I hope to bbe forever denied to you. People well remember how it was one of you who was responsible for selling weapons to Iraq and Iran at the same or time buying cocaine and marijuana from South American countries and selling it on the streets of America in order to finance the war in Nicaragua. You want to stop the Nubian vote because you have never been able to win our support for very long. You have already ruined this country with your failed policies and you want to keep more people from expressing their dissatisfaction.

    In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future. I follow a economist named bob proctor who has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly. He perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown ,and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years Is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression. Banks in the US are going under one after the other. Country wide the largest morgage bank in the world Bear Stearns and Lehman brothers , and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms. And now Fanny and Freddy which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States. The goverment took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. If they didn't the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash And we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before The future of these companies will fall into the hands of our next president
    Bush just like Mcain doesn't understand the economy.

    That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it
    He does not understand exactly what is broken. Its no surprise that he doesnt. The people that make up these
    securities use complex math models very few people understand.
    Bush and mccain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.

    Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks take risks with all of our future.
    Now Phil Graham is the head of mccains economic policy ,and mccain wants to make him the next secretary of the treasury.
    No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time bush met with his economic advisors was in march. He either didnt realize or didnt care that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy in our lifetime.
    It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as bush has done mccain would be
    incredibly worse because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 deficit. Most of Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
    If you do what you have always done then you will do get what you have always __________

    When it comes to policy bush and mccain are the same 90 percent of the time.
    So why are the polls even close then ?

    The chairman of mcains campaign recently said that people don't vote on issues

    they vote on a personality composite which means. He is trying to sell you personality instead of results.
    He believes people will vote against there own self interests.

    Lets teach him we are smarter then that .
    Hold them accountable now while it will still help
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

    I agree. And requirements to present identification such as a driver's license when buying alcohol is likewise an effort to prevent eligible African-Americans from buying alcohol. Not only does the GOP steal their right to vote, it steals their right to drink.
