BOO-Fargin-HOO, I like Tom Brady...nothing against the Pats. But we here in tv land like nothing more to hear about the blood-sucking tv execs that are sweating b/c of this injury. I am happy you will lose money.....b/c your gauging the advertisers anyway. There is way to much money floating around the tv rights, the NFL, the over- paid babies with fragile ego's...i.e. Vince Y. & Deangelo H. This is a kid's game turned into a business where the actual game sometimes seems second or third to ESPN'S hype or the storylines about players, who can't handle the pressure. Get back to basics and JUST PLAY THE EFFING GAME and SHUT-UP about finacial woes. While the people that support this enterprise are paying more for everyday resources and others with love ones in Iraq or the soldiers themselves. In this Country we are so stupid to make role models of the wrong people.

You writers have forgotten that Brady replaced Bledose due to injuries. The world will go on, the sun will rise in the east and still set in the west. I will move on now, I have more important things to take care of in my unimportant life.

If Tom Brady had been working out all summer instead of cavorting with that animal he dates, then he might have been in shape to play. He makes big bucks and should have used better judgement. But what do we expect, he uses bad judgement in every other part of his life to-like his son. Need I say more?

I might be a bit nit picky, but 4800 passing yards in a season is not a league record. Actually, Brady's amazing season of 2007 would only rank 3rd all-time. Brady and the Patriots might bring big numbers to CBS and the NFL on tv in general, but someother star will replace Brady this season. It happens nearly every season...a big name is injured and we feel thet they cannot be replaced, but they can. This year it'll either be Romo or McNabb or a team coming out of no where. It might take until mid season, but people will forget about Tom Brady (at least until the post season when the Pats are sitting home).

KUDOS to you fallseasons!!! I am a nurse barely making ends meet... I feel ya... what has this world come to when the "court jesters" are making the real money and the TRUELY working class are suffering... It used to be "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS" if they did a bad job.

Does anybody see anything wrong with how much money that they claim they are loosing becuase of Tom's injury. I love football as much as the next preson but when I am scrapping together to raise four boys that were throw aways from the foster care system and can only get $12 a day from the State to feed and clothe and take care of their needs. They play football at the high school and have to pay to play the game they love. I have to pull togehter to make that happen. The cleats, and other things do me in finanically, but they love to play and I know if they didnt it would be much more challanging to stay out of trouble. Our Social Workers and teachers who teach our children and workers who take care of our elderly that work hard to attempt to make a difference in our future and in our world for 10 dollars an hour, Yet, because we dont throw a football, swing a golf club, hit a baseball or dribble a ball we don't qualify for the $800,000 salery or indorsements. Does anybody see anything wrong with this picture??

You know, hero worship can be unhealthy.....just think about it. Unless you live in New England, you will probably take offense to a lot of this article, treating fans as though they can't or don't have a brain. There are a few other players of interest in the NFL, you may want to check outside of your favorite team, Mr. Philips.

The National Football League revolves around Tom Brady? As long as you ESPN reporters have Brett Farve to shove down our throats you can't make that statement. You over-idolize these players who, while being able to play the sport exceptionally well, are still in fact human like me and you. I abhor how iconic you've made Brady when his team was accused of cheating during the almost perfect season. As far as this football fan is conserned Brady's injury is karma biting the Patriots back for last year.
