It is a good news to know that China is embracing the western-style of education. However, I am quite suspicious about this college or higher level of welcoming creativity, when the best ages for fantasies and great imaginations are during their childhood. It might be hard just to welcome and introduce more creative courses in university level while the minds and the ways of how students thinking have already shaped. Would it be better to start educating them and discovering their innate talent while they are kids??

As American students get buried in homework, Teach N Test classrooms, focused more on their tech toys than their teachers, Chinese education is getting it. If you think Chinese manufacturing, the national expertise for making and selling its Gross National Output, is robust and healthy, just wait for China to begin harvesting the fruits of a truly fun and playful Education system. Our education system is stuck in its own wrong-headedness, bolstered by a Government that ???supports??? teachers and kids by pushing and intimidating them. Almost a whole generation has grown up with this mindless maze of numbers under the state and federal mandated tests and a standardized one-size-fits all scheme of schooling and will ???graduate??? into an America that is slipping into global irrelevance. We may have Disney movies and Ipods, but short answer ed. and that hunger for expensive toys cancels out a hunger in our kids for knowledge and discovery. What an incredible irony for America to suffer: China is in love with creativity and is making sure its schools immerse the young in it, while America???s kids dwell in the gulag of accountable education
