I have been awarded for an ideation challenge recently. When working out and submitting, I never aimed for the winning but a sincere effor in the solution to the targetted requirement. It certainly gives the thill to be a part in the progress of the knowledge with a common sense.
The seeker gets actually at free of cost plenty of ideas that may be used. A token prize and recognition may also be given to all those who had given somewhat useful ideas but not seelected in the final winning list.
