Obama camp is in panic mode and will go "scorch earth" really soon. Reliable sources inside Obama camp said that data from their own internal polling showed independent trending McCain faster and more numerous than expected. The data also indicated women and age group 50+ are leaving Obama faster than expected after the released of their attack ads on McCain's age. Stay tune

      Yeah, as JoseM has posted:

STAY TUNED 4 THE RETURN OF HILLARY!

BO's starting to sweat. And if it means swallowing his pride and dumping Jo-Jo Bygone for ol' Hillz ... I can easily see that happening.

SO STAY TUNED AMERICA! HILLZ IS BACK!!!!

Then leave the dems. if your tired of bigots.
    --------
Nah... The Republican Party is so full of bigots. The Aran Nation's members -- some of them -- vote for Republicans, especially whites and non-Jews. And at the Republican Convention this year, about 3,000 whites, around 30 were non-whites. Diversity seems to be the enemy of the GOP, as its base is so full of full-blown hard core cons like Ann Coulter and Rum (Rush) Licker (Limbaugh) who hate so many groups that they feel are "un-Christian".. Bigotry is so much the lifesaver of the GOP, because if the GOP tries to diversify itself, the hard core Jew-hating, racist, sexist cons will run away.
See, Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, etc are overwhelmingly in the Dem Party's fold.

Why is no one concerned about Obama's lack of religion or lack of respect for America that he cannot show respect to the flag? Keep pushing God out of our lives and out of our country and see what happens - in other words put Obama in the White House and you will see

      Hey Temp,

Couldn't agree with you more. It's getting a little "HOT" on this planet isn't it? Especially in America and Europe. John! Sarah!! I beg you!!! TURN DOWN THE AC ...

Had to stop by for this one...it's just too good to pass up...

So who???s advising Obama on housing policy these days?

Former Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines, that???s who.

Raines is one of the people principally responsible for the collapse of the giant and had been accused of manipulating the company???s earnings. Also, according to an Associated Press article, Raines received low-rate loans from mortgage lender Countrywide Financial, a major seller of home loans to Fannie Mae.

LOL, Zombiehero and HolyRoller... Sorry to burst you a!!....
    ---------
John McCain railed against Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac on the campaign trail today,
saying that the CEOs that led the lenders to ruin
    "deserve nothing"
and should have to pay back their severance packages. In an
    Wall Street Journal op-ed
co-bylined by his vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, McCain suggested bold reforms
for Fannie and Freddie that would "terminate future lobbying, which was one of the
primary contributors to this great debacle."
If that's the case, McCain should look first to his campaign staffers as the cause
of that debacle. One of them was Fannie Mae's head of lobbying, and spread tens of
millions of dollars around Washington in the form of lobbying contracts. A number
of McCain staffers were on the receiving end of those contracts, collecting hundreds
of thousands of dollars each from the lenders to rep their interests. And McCain's
campaign manager served as president of a lobbying association that fought to protect
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae from the sort of regulation that McCain is now proposing. http://www.motherjones.com/mojoblog/archives/2008/09/9663_mccain_fannie_freddie.html
    ------------
And someone from the companies who was merely employed but not lobbying is worse than lobbyists working for those companies? McCain's belly is so full of lobbyists, despite his bluff opposition to lobbying and claims of lobbying reform.

In the two weeks since Sarah Palin was announced as Senator McCain's pick for VP, her handlers have allowed her to speak to the press 1 time and after serious coaching sessions. In that same time frame Senator Biden spoke with reporters 54 times. Thankfully the Palin bubble is finally bursting as the public get to see who this person for who she really is despite the McCain camp's best efforts to stifle the truth. Buyer's remorse is setting in. John McCain's judgement is in question as he blew the single most important decision he had to make as a candidate.

    • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 09/16/2008 11:09:07 AM

Keep believing it's buyer's remorse and you and the dems will be crying the blues for another 12 years. Palin will serve 4 as McCain's VP, and 8 as the first female president. *Maybe* by then, Barack Hussein Obama will have enough experience to be a VP candidate.

      • Posted By: neos @ 09/16/2008 11:21:06 AM

Oh, yes it is buyer's remorse. But, if on the long chance your unpleasant scenario comes to pass republicans stay in power, it will be the american public who will be 'crying the blues' as the economy sinks ever further into decline. Have you not seen what 8 years of republican rule has done to our country? But, then you are a follower of Heerbert Hoover who said that 'the fundamentals of our economy are strong'.

        • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 09/16/2008 11:32:52 AM

The one who has buyer's remorse is Barack Hussein Obama! Had he selected Hillary as his running mate, he'd be the one leading in the polls. But, if on the NO chance Barack Hussein Obama is elected, you can plan on the largest tax increase in American history, and gas prices to go to $10.00 a gallon. How long can our economy survive with a liberal loser like Barack Hussein Obama?

          • Posted By: neos @ 09/16/2008 6:17:19 PM

Putting a lie in print does not make it true. Senator Obama would restore tax levels to those found during Presidnet Clinton's term; gasoline prices will be higher under McCain who only half-heartedly supports alternative fuel sources. McCain calls himself a deregulator. That's why lehman bros. et al.,have gone bankrupt. Your gruop broke America and doesn't know how to fix it. Get out of the way.

  • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 09/16/2008 5:52:39 PM

While Barack Obama is faking outrage over all the bankruptcies and bailouts, he doesn't mention that a number of his top ten contributors are from Wall Street, including Goldman Sacs, Lehman and the JP Morgan Chase. He also fails to mention that one of the first subprime lenders to stick it to borrowers and have her bank seized is a woman named Penny Pritzker, who just happens to be Barack Obama???s campaign Finance Chair (as confirmed on April 3, 2008) and a potential Secretary of the Treasury in an Obama administration.

    NOBAMA!!!

Zombiehero says you should read the bill yourself, apparently calls www.factcheck.org "Kos". Ah, the zoombie wants us to cherry-pick so that only what conservative want voters to know is heard, or they want us to believe their crap, so they post selectively, cherry-pickers. Distortions. Taking stuff out of context to suit one's attempts to get the message to voters.
    --------------
It's true that the phrase "comprehensive sex education" appeared in the bill, but
little else in McCain's claim is accurate. The ad refers to a
    bill
Obama supported in the Illinois state Senate to update the sex education curriculum
and make it "medically accurate." It would have lowered the age at which students
would begin what the bill termed "comprehensive sex education" to include kindergarten.
But it mandated the instruction be "age-appropriate" for kindergarteners when addressing
topics such as sexually transmitted diseases. The bill also would have granted parents
the opportunity to remove their children from the class without question:
    SB 99
    :
However, no pupil shall be required to take or participate in any family life class
    or course on HIV
    AIDS
or family life instruction if his parent or guardian submits written objection thereto,
and refusal to take or participate in such course or program shall not be reason
for suspension or expulsion of such pupil.

"Let's be clear, Governor Palin has done nothing wrong and is an open book
in this process. Mr. Monegan even stated himself that no one ever told him to fire
anyone, period," Comella said later in a statement.
    ------------
So, Zombiehero, you can only quote -- cherry pick --- as reliable source when you know Maria Comella is the spokeswoman for Palin, someone paid to say anything to defend the boss? QUOTE FACTS, NOT ONE-SIDED, UNVERIFID "PALIN FACTS"-- MADE-UP FACTS, THAT IS.
Go back to http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/03/AR2008090303210_pf.html and read -- or did you fail in reading class?

Throughout the campaign season Obama has attacked Wall Street???s financial sector and run a campaign based largely upon his ???good judgment???. The problem with Obama???s rhetoric rests in the fact that tucked away in his database of 2.5 million donors is the approximately 180,000 power brokers that have funded nearly 60% of his campaign. Included in this list are the more than 594 campaign bundlers including 15 lobbyist bundlers who have accounted for over $140 million in contributions. Included in this list are just 36 bundlers accounting for over $18 million dollars, with two bundlers raising over $1 million, and one over $2 million. These amounts are impressive considering that just 552 individuals have accounted for nearly 1/3 of his total campaign contributions. Of course determining the occupation can be tricky considering the Obama campaign lists nearly 100 bundlers as having unknown occupations, nearly 100 who are listed as "self-employed", and dozens of "homemakers" and "retired" individuals.

Among Obama's campaign contributors are many Lehman Brothers Executives, such as CEO Richard Fuld ($2,300), President Joseph Gregory ($4,600) and dozens of other top Lehman Executives. On June 19th, Lehman shareholders filed suit against Fuld and Gregory for the company???s exposure in the subprime market. In addition to dozens of Lehman executives are Obama's bundlers from Lehman Borthers who have raised top dollar for the campaign. Direct contributions from Lehman Brothers have exceeded $395,000 for Senator Obama.

John Rhea - (over $500,000) Co-Head of Lehman Bros. Global Investment Banking
Mark Gilbert - (over $500,000) Lehman Brothers Senior Executive
Christine Forester - (over $500,000) Lehman Brothers Senior Executive
Theodore Janulis ??? Bundler (over $100,000) & Lehman Brothers Head of Global Mortgages
Nadja Fidelia ??? Bundler (over $50,000) & Managing Director of Lehman Brothers

So it's ok for Obama to send Kids to their DEATHS, just not okay for McCain....got
you...forgot about your double standard...I'll try to remember next time.
    ---------
    1. Bush invaded Afghanistan withUN backing as well as NATO's backing to punish those responsible for 9/11.
    2. Bush invaded Iraq on the basis of faulty, baseless, unverifable allegations agaisnt Saddam for harboring WMD (it is now apparent that he only wants regime change to suit his ideologies, or he is chasing oil as a former oilman).
    3. Obama said that he supprots more troops in Afghanistian to FULFILL OUR MISSION THAT WE HAVE GOT BACKING FROM THE WORLD COMMUNITY, TO DEFEND AMERICA AGAISNT FUTURE ATTACKS, AND TO CAPTURE AND BRING TO JUSTICE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11. He does not support more troops to Iraq, the war without a cause; he supports more troops in Afghanistian, a war with a clear mission that Bush and his neo-cons decided not to give top priority and instead pursue oil in Iraq.
So, to answer your question... This is not about double standard, but about the purpose and the mission of the wars in question. Obama supports Aghanistian "surge", not letting Bush and McCain abandon our obligations to punish those responsible for 9/11 and to protect America; McCain supports troops staying in Iraq, a conflcit worthless fighting except for neo-conservatives.

  • Posted By: Iron Horse @ 09/16/2008 4:57:57 PM

OH got ya so it's ok for Obama to do it just not McCain....sorry forgot
    your double standard my bad.
    -------
Not a double standard, that is the way politics is. If McCain doesn't raise money from celebrities, who would have expected Obama to raise money from them? The point is, this is politics at play, but Obama isn't saying it is okay, he just cannot let hypocrites like McCain do it to win.

Walt Monegan lost his job as public safety director because he resisted Gov. Sarah Palin???s budget policies and showed ???outright insubordination,??? say papers the governor???s lawyer filed Monday with the state Personnel Board.

It was Palin???s strongest effort yet to snuff allegations she sacked Monegan because he refused to fire a state trooper involved in an ugly divorce with the governor???s sister.

Along with the papers filed Monday were a slew of e-mails from the governor???s office purporting to show Monegan???s ???rogue mentality??? as a member of Palin???s Cabinet.

In one message, the governor???s budget director, Karen Rehfeld, wrote that she was ???stunned and amazed??? that Monegan appeared to be working with a powerful state legislator, Anchorage Republican Rep. Kevin Meyer, to seek funding for a project Palin previously had vetoed. . . .

The papers filed Monday accuse Monegan, during his time as public safety commissioner, of ???an escalating pattern of insubordination on budget and other key policy issues.???

    THE LAST STRAW

In pursuing his own goals for the Department of Public Safety, Monegan ???sought out the governor???s political opponents behind her back,??? Van Flein wrote, and in December 2007 he ???unilaterally orchestrated a press conference??? on his budget with state Sen. Hollis French, an Anchorage Democrat who is leading the Troopergate investigation.

On May 7 of this year, Randy Ruaro, the governor???s deputy chief of staff, complained in an e-mail to Rehfeld, the budget director, that Monegan???s department ???is constantly going off the reservation.???

???The last straw??? leading up to Monegan???s firing, Van Flein wrote, was Monegan???s planned trip to Washington, D.C., to seek funding for a new, multimillion-dollar sexual assault initiative the governor hadn???t yet approved.
