And ya'll want to compare Gov. Palin to Pilate....well
    FDR was a Gov.....Reagan was a Gov.....Clinton was a Gov....Hussein mentor Mr Peanut
was a Gov....and guess what ....Hussein was a community organizer(and pretty much
a failed one) based on the training of Saul Alinsky..."Rules for Radicals" author,
who BTW dedicated his "bible' to Lucifer.

Wow, you are professing so much hatred. Seek help, try a neuroscientist to repair your damaged mind... I honestly don't think your posts are worth a reply, and you are so hateful that the best forum for you is the one where bin Laden's supporters debate or the Nationalist Nazi Movement's website, not here.
Obama was a state senator for 8 years of an area much larger than the town Pain was a mayor of (and she was not exposed to the ordinary citizens as much as Obama, given that many of the social service and related services such as education were not handled by her cit) and Obama is now a U.S. Senator of a state much larger than Alaska and even Arkanas where Bill was a governor. Bush was a governor of Texas as well, but what did he accomplish on an important scale?
Now, please stop professing your hatred of innocent individuals. Instead, finish your Kool-Aid and leave this blog.

You are losing this debate BADLY...what no comment about Hussein MENTOR Saul Alinsky and his idol...Lucifer??? Hussein as a State Senator only made one bold stand...to allow the unattended deaths of botched abortions...or "born Alive" babies. He worked harder for that than any other law. Then there is the $14,000,000 he helped good buddy Tony Rezko with...and getting rid of 6 hospital board members Tony couldn't bribe, or the Willy Ayers/Woods Foundation/Annkenberg scams......CHANGE we can do without.

And lest we forget....as a Jr Senator he has requested nearly $$$$$ ONE BILLION $$$$ in earmarks...or nearly $$$ ONE MILLION PER DAY $$$. That is a lot of pork...Especially for a mohammed.

    Budget and spending

Palin at the Alaska Airmen's Trade Show in Anchorage, Alaska in May 2008
In June 2007, Palin signed into law a $6.6 billion operating budget.[82] At the same time, she used her veto power to make the second-largest cuts of the construction budget in state history. The $237 million in cuts represented over 300 local projects, and reduced the construction budget to $1.6 billion.[83]

Palin followed through on a campaign promise to sell the Westwind II jet, a purchase made by the Murkowski administration for $2.7 million in 2005, on a state government credit account, against the wishes of the legislature. In August 2007, the jet was listed on eBay, but the sale fell through, and the plane was later sold for $2.1 million through a private brokerage firm.[84] Palin lives in Juneau during the legislative session and lives in Wasilla and works out of offices in Anchorage the rest of the year; to cover her travel expenses, and compensate for her choice not to use the governor's private chef[85] she charged the state ($16,951 in total allowances) and for her family's travel expenses ($43,490, an additional $93,000 for Palin herself), mostly between Juneau and Wasilla.[86][87] In response to criticism of the practice, the governor's staffers told The New York Times that the practice was in line with state policy, and that Palin's gubernatorial expenses are 80% below those of her predecessor, Frank Murkowski.[88]

While initially supporting $223 million in federal funding for the "Bridge to Nowhere", Palin backed off when Alaska's share of the cost increased. In February 2008, Palin's office sent a 70-page memo to Ted Stevens' office, outlining $200 million in funding requests for Alaska

    "Bridge(s) to Nowhere"

See also: Gravina Island Bridge and Knik Arm Bridge (Don Young's Way)

Two Alaskan bridge construction proposals supported by Palin in her 2006 gubernatorial race have been derided as a symbol of pork barrel spending: a proposed bridge connecting Ketchikan to Gravina Island (population 50) where its airport lies;[90] and a proposed bridge ("Don Young's Way", named after Alaska's Congressman) crossing Knik Arm to provide an alternate route from Anchorage to Wasilla.[91] The nickname "Bridge(s) to Nowhere" has been used for the Gravina Island Bridge alone[92] or, more rarely, both bridges.[93]

In 2005, Congress earmarked $442 million to build the two bridges but later reversed itself under strong criticism and gave the transportation money to Alaska with no strings attached.[94] In 2006, Palin ran for governor on a "build-the-bridge" platform....

Attacking "spinmeisters"[96] for insulting local residents by calling them "nowhere"[95] and urging speed "while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist."[97] About two years after the introduction of the bridge proposals, a month after the bridge received sharp criticism from John McCain,[98] and nine months into Palin's term as governor, Palin canceled the Gravina Bridge, blaming Congress for not providing enough funding.[99] Alaska will not return any of the $442 million to the federal government[100] and is spending a portion of the funding, $25 million, on a Gravina Island road to the place where the bridge would have gone, expressly so that none of the money will have to be returned.[95] Palin continues to support funding Don Young's Way, estimated as more than twice as expensive as the Gravina Bridge would have been.[101]

In her nomination acceptance speech and on the campaign trail, Palin has often said: "I told the Congress 'thanks, but no thanks,' for that Bridge to Nowhere." Although Palin was originally a main proponent of the bridge, McCain-Palin television advertisements claim Palin "stopped the Bridge to Nowhere".[104] These claims have been widely questioned or described as misleading in several newspapers across the political spectrum. Newsweek, commenting on Palin's "astonishing pivot," remarked: "Now she talks as if she always opposed the funding."

Its not one, not two, but a whole slew of choices Obama made for people to surround himself with during his rise in politics over the years. . .which makes one truly question Obamas beliefs, his values, his integrity and his character as a man who is running for POTUS:

I find it very enjoyable to watch organizations and pundits such as Newsweek, the New York Times, Maureen Dowd and Keith Olbermann (just to name a few) struggle to explain why their new messiah, the one who was supposed to set America on the right path, to ensure continued redistribution of wealth, to relieve their "white liberal guilt", (never quite understood that one, but it appears to be alive and well among my liberal friends) to make sure that gay marriage is the law of the land, to guarantee more government handouts, etc...cannot seem to connect with middle / mainstream America. Just as a point of context, I would share that I am a center right leaning educated male with a post graduate degree. And on a daily basis I (and many like myself) continue to wathc with delight as the the northeast liberal intelligencia elitists struggle with what they are seeing in the populist movement that has been born out of the McCain Palin ticket. By all rights Obama should win this election by a landslide this year, but if he does not it will once again validate the widely held belief that Democrats just are not capable of connecting with the heart and soul of this country. And did I mention the great job Obama did in not selecting Hillary as his VP running mate? She would have solidified the ticket and pulled the rug out from under the McCain camp relative to choosing someone like Palin, but what the heck, Barrack has all those years of experience as a community organizer and I'm sure he knows what is best for his party. (Kind of hard to go wrong with an energetic leader like Joe Biden!). It looks like it's going to be a fun election cycle. And I am especially looking forward to hearing some of Keith Olbermann's self righteous "special comments" chastising the American people should the McCain Palin ticket pull off this upset! Hold onto your seats America, we are in new territory in 2008!

But if you would help me here for just a second, please share with me which part of the documents that formed the foundation of this country that called for the promotion of a society based on the redistribution of wealth...perhaps I was absent the day that was covered at school! The Democrats disdain for religion and American patriotism is evident in most every pro-O'bama post in this blog. The very word Freedom is a Biblical concept embraced by the founding fathers of our nation in that "Freedom is the greatest of gifts God has given to man." Isn't ironic that our Democrat brothers and sisters would use their God given freedom to deny themselves and everyone else access to that which gave them their freedom in the first place.

    • Posted By: benkrapf @ 09/14/2008 10:21:38 PM

      Deny access?

Like denying poor kids healthcare? Or how about people born with conditions too severe to insure?

Like denying vets with PTSD proper psychiatric care? Or even sanitized rooms?

Like denying our youth of an education that attempts to do something other than just prep them for the next standardized test?

      Grow up.

So if you had to choose between your own selfish pursuits and another's ability to simply live to the age of 30 due to proper and affordable medical care, you'd let the person die, all the while shouting, "Liberty! For me!"

Republicans claim Christianity and yet their policies demonstrate little charity. I suppose it's ok to invoke Jesus' name to get elected and a political sin to actually comprehend his teachings.

You want freedom at the expense of a working middle class and a workable healthcare system.

Your "factcheck" is factless. First it was NOT a vaulted copy. Second they were in
no way document analysts. The posted C.O.L.B.'s have been determined to be tampered
    with by multiple experts.
Why doesn't he make them accessible? Why in the fact check photos..were they not
    scanned for analysis.
    =================
To answer your question, let me first throw this one at you. McCain was born outside the US and some Constitutional law experts have questioned his eligbility. He was born in the Panama Canal region, not US territory. Why would he be more qualified than Obama, who no doubt was born in Hawaii?
I am not a lawyer, so I cannot answer your technical question. Because the SJustice Dept. has a duty to enforce the laws of the US, so if the birth certificate in question was tampered, Obama is not too stupid to know that he is violating the law and the State Dept should ivnestigate and prosecute him. So, your questions are best answered by the Dept of Justice or the State Department. And FactCheck.org is a nonpartisan, respected organization, so any questions about their "analysis" of the birth certificate is best answered by them. Because if they are not a nonpartisan fact checking organization, then McCain would not have even aired an ad citing its work. Factcheck.org does not judge candidates, so it was totally stupid for McCain to try to pit it against anyone.

    Public Safety Commissioner dismissal

Main article: Alaska Public Safety Commissioner dismissal

On July 11, 2008, Sarah Palin dismissed Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan, citing performance-related issues, such as not being a team player on budgeting issues.[110][111] Monegan alleged that his dismissal was retaliation for his failure to fire Palin???s former brother-in-law, Alaska State Trooper Mike Wooten, who was involved in a child custody battle with Palin???s sister. Governor Palin stated on July 17 that no pressure had been applied upon Monegan to fire Wooten.[112][110]

In July, Palin's ethics advisor urged her to apologize for "overreaching or perceived overreaching" to get Wooten fired. Palin publicly acknowledged in August that "pressure could have been perceived to exist, although I have only now become aware of it."[114] She also apologized to Alaskans for the distraction.

On August 1, the Alaska Legislature hired an independent investigator to review the situation.[117] The investigation is scheduled to be completed in October 2008. On August 13, after an internal investigation, Palin acknowledged that her staff had contacted Monegan or his staff about two dozen times regarding Wooten.

Palin placed the Alaska Director of Boards and Commissions on paid leave as a result of one tape-recorded call. She stated that she had only known about some of the contacts, that many of those contacts were appropriate, and restated she had not fired Monegan because of Wooten, who is still employed as a state trooper.

On September 1, Palin's lawyer asked the state Legislature to drop its investigation, saying that by state law, the governor-appointed state Personnel Board had jurisdiction over ethics issues.[120] Palin also asked that the Board review the matter as an ethics complaint.[121]

Palin's choice to replace Monegan, Charles M. Kopp, chief of the Kenai police department, was named to the position on July 11, 2008. He resigned on July 25 after it was revealed that he had received a letter of reprimand for sexual harassment in his previous position.

On September 12th, Associated Press reported that the bipartisan Alaska's State Senate committee investigating abuse of power investigation against Sarah Palin decided to subpoena Todd Palin, her husband.

Obama NEVER attacked Palin, and the McCain campaign tried to hve him take the bait by playing gender politics, but he stayed above the fray and ignored the bait. yet, his "lipstick on a pig" comment was grossly taken out of context to satisfy the GOP's urge to find any gaffe. Obama was attacking McCain with the "lipstick on a pig" comment, never referring to Palin, even as she continuously atacked him and ridiculing the work of community organizers (and in effect ridiculing and mocking Jesus Christ).

You are sounding more and more like a scared little idiot.....comparing Hussein to Jesus....Jesus was NOT a community organizer....He is the Messiah....and the mohammed Jr. Senator IS NOT. And ya'll want to compare Gov. Palin to Pilate....well FDR was a Gov.....Reagan was a Gov.....Clinton was a Gov....Hussein mentor Mr Peanut was a Gov....and guess what ....Hussein was a community organizer(and pretty much a failed one) based on the training of Saul Alinsky..."Rules for Radicals" author, who BTW dedicated his "bible' to Lucifer. Now that's CHANGE no real American will believe in.

      NOBAMA!!!

PS: My apologies for for a few typos and the incorrect spelling of Mr. Obama's last name with 2 r's in my previous comment....I could blame it on my laptop keys being stuck, but I'm guessing that the truth is that I am just am behind the curve due the the fact that I do not read the New York Times enough and
i also missed out on one of those great northeastern liberal university educations! Perhaps if Mr. Obama is elected he can redistribute some wealth my way and I can go back for another degree! PS: Thanks to my strong, educated, self actualized wife for her unmatched spell checking ability....and congratulations again to Mr. Obama for making sure he kept someone like that off of his ticket! (yes, that last comment was sarcasm!)

Exactly: They are even. You know why? Americans who don't know anything continue to bond with Palin. And why? Well, there's a pretty funny drawing over at 236 that tells us: http://www.236.com/news/2008/09/12/americans_who_dont_know_sht_co_8899.php

What I would like to know is if you are against abortion and considering it murder then you must been against the war in Iraq, correct? Because many unborn babies were killed by U.S. bombs. I mean that would be murder in your eyes right? And by the way I'm a Christian please don't tell me who I must vote for. Not until you can answer if Jesus was a Dem or Republican. Answer He was neither He is the Son of God. Some things the Right believes in are unchristian some things the left believes in are unchristian (if there is such a thing) the truth is if one is Christian they are called to love no matter what.

Quoting from ejt345 : "...if you are against abortion and considering it murder then you must been against the war in Iraq, correct?" No. Abortion is the deliberate taking of a human life, therefore it is murder. Noncombatant casualties of war are accidental, & the US military does what it can to prevent them; but in the final analysis innocent people always die in wars. It's unfortunate, but it isn't murder.

"...many unborn babies were killed by U.S. bombs. I mean that would be murder in your eyes right?" No. For reasons stated above, there is no moral equivalence whatsoever.

"...by the way I'm a Christian please don't tell me who I must vote for." It isn't the poster who tells you, it is God Who tells you. A vote for Obama is a serious offense against God, period. Nor are you a Christian, because it is clear from your words that you don't submit yourself to the Will of God. In fact you don't give a damn what God thinks about anything, & if it conflicts with your rigid prejudices then you violate His Will without a second thought.

"...the truth is if one is Christian they are called to love no matter what." To love, yes. To tolerate, no. And a Christian may even be called upon to destroy that which in God's eyes is not right. Sorrowfully, perhaps. But destroy it nevertheless.

Quoting from hmoo11 : "What a great country we'd have if religion didn't divide us. It's man's plan." You haven't got the remotest clue who God is or what His plan is. God directly commanded the Israelites to kill one another as punishment for sin, to invade Palestine & kill everyone in it, & so forth. If you don't like that God, then don't worship Him; but don't misrepresent Him. God condemns evil, & if that divides us then so be it. That's why He created Hell. God isn't about unity, you pathetic fool. He's about separating the wheat from the chaff.

My wife and I attended an Obama rally yesterday were white women out-numbered all the african-americans 3 to one. We had a wonder time ixing with people we'd never met before. What a wonderful country. Oh, there were some people there who worked as community organizers as well. What a great country we'd have if religion didn't divide us. It's man's plan.
