I think the surge in support for John McCain is partly the result of his choice of Sarah Palin for VP. It demonstrated that he is not so "old" , behind the times, stuck in the 70s as his opponents would like to have us believe. This pick shows him to be very diverse and quite attuned to the present. The other part of his support is coming from people who are now tuning in to the election and see John McCain to be the strongest candidate. I noticed a small weakness in Obama when he let the Clintons push him around, and now he is running against Sarah. because he cannot seem to get over her popularity. Not the actions of a president.

How does the media come up with these polls? Yesterday McCain and Palin were ahead then overnight someone says hey they are tied. Amazing stuff how the media is tries to sway an election.
I see the comments on here go with the type of people that get the magazin as well, but like I have always been taught don't believe anything you read and only part of what you see.
For those of you who want Obama then vote for him, for those of you who want McCain then vote for him. But I reall wish you would keep your personal comments about the President and current administration as well as congress to yourself. Your opinion will not change mine. Keep it to yourself. Also be glad you can even think those things cause if you were in any other country in the world, you would be put in jail.
The electoral college is why our government is in the shape its in, time to lose this antiquated system where everyone thinks thier vote counts when in fact they need to find out who and how these people voted and hold them accountible for the government they put into office. McCain Palin is my vote btw.

Obama would eliminate our defensive weapons. All you have to do is search the web to hear this in his own words. For those serving in the defense department and the military this strategy would be pure insanity.
Obama allegedly has a lot of radical associations that calls motivations into question. These allegations are also all over the Web. How can we trust him? Keep America safe!-

It saddens me that this is what our country has become. A president should be elected based on issues, not race or gender or middle names. If you want to have a civilized debate, feel free, but I see no need for name-calling and insults. These comments prove that children can vote after all. Interesting to find the number of people supporting candidates like Palin without knowing what she stands for. These campaigns are all about emotional rhetoric--many people don't even know what their candidates stand for. It's sad---this is why the founding fathers didn't trust the masses--needed electoral college--
Heck--even our elected reps admit that they don't read what they're voting on--that is, if they vote. This country was based on some great ideas--- too bad emotion, religion and ignorance---and greed are becoming the basis for deciding our future path.

While John McCain is not George Bush he and no one can argue that their views are way closer than Bush's and Obama's. I ask your self if Obama were a white man would there even be a competition? Search yourselves before you answer this! You know the envirmenment is green adn so is your money. The economic state of this country has no color and the men and women who lost their lives in Iraq, a war fought on false pretenses and lies; their blood is red. This mindset is what is causing America to lose its place as head of the free world. The world is changing and so should we.
When McCain say he is seeking the "Nascar Dad" vote or Palin says she is seeking the "Hockey" mom vote, what they are really saying is that they are searching for the white americans that are too ignorant to care about the issues, but instead care about the color of the next president. This is an insult the all Americans White, Black, and every color in between. How are you going to feel when you wake up Novemeber 5th and McCain is the next president and 2 years after that we are at war with Iran, Russia or North Korea, when diplomacy was never entertained and the middle class is suffering because once again the rickle down effect is not working....but Palin and McCain are hunting game at camp David thinking of how they duped the American people yet once again. Do you really think that McCain-Palin is a better ticket then Obama-Biden. I can only hopw and prey that Americans make the right choice, because if not....God help us all!

These polls don't account for the people who have abandoned land lines for cell phones, who are usually younger and more likely to be Obama voters. Plus the more and more details of Palin's administrative style, which is not about reform but giving jobs to high school friends and church mates, screwing over people who dissent from her, the more people will realize just another Bushy with even more delusions of granduer than Georgie, the more the undecided voters will back away form McCain. God help us if that anti-science, pro-censorship neophyte gets one heartbeat away from the Oval Office.

Obama has 2.5 million donors. Most of these are donors are small donors($25, $50, etc.) These donations are documented because there is a cap on how much an individual can donate. There is nothing illegal going on with these donations. His ability to raise money has been well documented. Sorry to bust your bubble. Don't hate because so many people are donating to Obama's campaign. They do NOT want McCain/Palin! Find something else to hate on because you have nothing here!

The civil war ended 142 years ago and the great president Abe Lincoln a Republican I might add ended it. Until they are able to start polling people who only or mainly use cell phones I will not believe the current polls. I do wish that one important aspect was mentioned more often. It does and will make a big difference come election day as far as polling goes.

Distorting the facts again, it was already proven the Sarah Palin did not support teaching creationism in public schools but simply commented that the discussion should be welcomed. The media's continue attempt to distort her views shows the media's frustration trying to keep their loser candidate Obama from losing the election. Obama is a fraud and they know it. If they would only spend the same amount of time going through Obama's garbage like they are doing Sara Palins they would find the man is unqualified for the office. Thank goodness that we no longer have depend on the main stream media for true and factual information. Now having worked for a schoold didtrict that just encountered this problem heres the problem: 1. Creatiionism by definition means that a bigger or superior being cretaed the wold. 2. Teachig about superior beings in public schools goes against the constituion on the grounds of seperation of church and state and if you think Im wrong do a google search on a school in PA that took this issue to the state supreme court and it was found unconstitutional to teach creatsionsim because it equaled teaching a secalr viewpoint (religous) and that violates the constitution.
This was put into place by the founding fathers due to reigous persecution.
