Wow! As an American some of the rhetoric I've seen really scares me. Our Nation is crumbling around us and the majority of people are focused on personality. We are at a critical crossroad with healthcare, education, energy, the environment, home foreclosures, a crumbling infracture and many other important issues. We have to look beyond right now to 8 years down the road. These people will be gone and we'll be electing someone else. Right now, I think it's important we follow the money trail. The middle class is the backbone of America. When your backbone breaks, you can't move. If we are honest, we know we can't afford to spend billions of dollars per year on wars around the globe and leave issues here at home unaddressed. There are some sound ideas in the Republican, Democrat, and Independent groups. We need to choose those that work for the Nation as a whole. While the media gives us information, I think most of us are intelligent and can do our own research and thinking to make a wise decision in this election which will impact the next 10 years at least. Come on Americans! Stay focused on the issues that impact our daily lives.

Is Obama still in bed with the terrorist William Ayers that bombed police stations in the 1960's and just said quoting news reports,,,"I wish we had done more bombings and more terror ,,," ??? That'd be the TERRORISTS known as the weathermen

Let's take a closer look at Barack Obama. Obama, whose father was born into privilege, served as the Senior Economist for a corrupt Kenyan Government; and, advocated a "100% taxation and repossession of land and property against the will of the rightful owner". An ideology that some call Communism. His mother was a radical Marxist. These facts are material since Obama has stated that his mother: "Was the dominant figure in my formative years; and, the values she taught me continue to be my touchstone in the world of politics". -AND- ???It was into my father???s image . . . that I???d packed all the attributes I sought in myself.??? Common sense deductive reasoning suggests that Obama's rearing as a child, and his extended 20yr relationships, and obvious conformity, with anti-American fanatics such as Rev. Wright ( the Pastor of his church that promoted the doctrine of Louis Farrakhan and James Cone, the guru of Black Liberation Theology ) ; and, Frank Davis, William Ayers, Gerald Kellman ( a Saul Alinsky protege' who hired Obama as a community organizer), Bernadette Dohrn, Khalid al-Mansour, etc., etc., are in fact reflective of Obama's true psychological makeup. A conclusion rigidly re-enforced by Obama's San Francisco commentary denigrating folks from small-town America. Obama's affinity for questionable associates such as Tony Rezco, a convicted felon, raises a myriad of questions. Further, his increasingly frequent petulant responses to legitimate criticism is troubling. This man's initial refusal to wear an American flag lapel pin and to place his hand over his heart on the singing of our National Anthem are conditioned reflexes from his protracted association with disaffected elements in our society; visual images that Obama is certain to attempt to obfuscate in future campaign appearances; even though, he has openly admitted: "I didn't want to offend Muslims and others who don't like America.". Obama is our "home-grown" version of Hugo Chavez. Further, Michelle Obama's angry commentary directed at our country is telling. Fifty-seven (Islamic) State Obama's comments that he would use U.S. Military Forces against Pakistan, a Nation with a sizable nuclear arsenal, and an ally in the war on terror, even without President Musharraf's permission; a Nation that he mistakenly believed to be Arab; his indecision/confusion as to whether Iran poses a serious regional threat; while in other commentary, stating that he would halt the U.S. military's development of advanced weapons systems; and, drastically reduce our military force structure, demonstrates a profound ignorance of the geopolitical threat environment confronting America. His long-term subversive associations, and his immersion in seditious anti-American diatribe have indeed revealed Obama as the real-life Manchurian Candidate. Greg Neubeck

I am an independent and look at all media outlets and read all their articles and responses to those articles. it is funny how far left msn and msnbc and their viewers have gotten. honestly it turns independents like myself off. because the media continues to prominently push Obama, it makes me want to Vote McCain because I could care less what the media says. Media should report the news, not add their opinion and tell us how we should vote. I know the far left says that Fox is far right, but I would have to disagree. They are right leaning but still have the most balanced broadcast. Sean Hannity is a far right jacka**, but they even him out with Alan Colmes, a far left jacka**. They always have both sides of the story. The media is turning independents off and hurting Obama, which is ok with me because the more I learn about him, I see that an Obama/Reid/Pelosi triplet running this country is going to make us a socialist country. Class warfare/money relocating/socialized medicine/too big government. I should just move to Europe if I wanted that. Far from what the American Values and traditions are.

I am a Democrat and have been all my life and have never voted for a Republican presidential candidate,until now ! I've been talking to alot of my coworkers nation wide and all feel the same way I do.This election is not as close as the media leads you to beleive.Obama is the worst thing that can happen to the free world.

Palin Did Not Ban Books in Wasilla as Mayor

Despite a national discussion about whether Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin sought to ban books as mayor more than a decade ago, the city says there is NO RECORD of any books being yanked from the shelves.

Since being selected as John McCains running mate, Palin has faced questions over discussions she had with Wasillas librarian in 1996. In recent days, a BOGUS LIST OF BANNED BOOKS has been widely circulated on the Internet.

But on its website, the city of Wasilla posted a statement asserting that NO BOOKS at the library have EVER BEEN BANNED.

It's going to take a lot more than a Sarah Palin to give this election to the Republicans. She is a joke. The Repubs picked someone no one knows just 2 months before the election for a reason. She doesn't have to do anything, and they can spin everything to make her look like a victim. This is the same party who wouldn't take sexism comments about Hillary because they said, as is certainly true also of Palin, that is she was going to run the country, she would have to take the heat even though she is a woman. Well, the same goes for Palin. If she has to be "protected" by McCain & Co., she has no business in the race.
