    I intend to vote for the President of the United States, not Kenya. Obama is an obscure Senator with no credentials and a sketchy heritage, at best. A Clinton supporter is demanding to see a legit. birth certificate by
    election time. If he can't produce one, or comes up with a fake, this will make Democrats look as dumb as they
    really are. What an October surprise, buy there is always the dead people vote.

    Qbama? What has HE sacrificed for this country? or his father? or grandfather? How far back does his patriotism go? You insult the Veterans of this country by neutralizing the contributions of McCain's military career. How can anyone say that a military backround does not mean anything in American politics? And also, why are we not hearing anything from the media about Obama's Vice Presidential candidate?

      Explain to me how 5 years in a POW camp half a century ago is goinjg to help this country move FORWARD. Both McCain and Sarah are living in a time warp. DId you hear her tie the Iraq war to 9/11? Even Bush has admitted they aren't related. That is OLD news. Hasn't she been paying attention?
      Likewise, saying we're better off than we were 4 years ago....is McCain KIDDING or just snoozing?

      Why don't you do a little research before you shoot your mouth off? Obama's grandfather enlisted in WWII and his grandmother worked for the cause at home while her husband went to war, and if you don't call trying to make YOUR country a better place to live for ALL Americans, and not just the rich, you probably shouldn't vote. McCain's war record does not a President make. It takes good judgment, and someone taking on Palin as Vice President shows no judgment except anything to try desperately to win.

    McCain is one of the slickest, and sickest politicians around. His ego is so sick, he liked to create the status of "Marverick" by going against his party, etc., but then he talks out of BOTH SIDES OF HIS MOUTH, depending on which will get him ahead further. Just to show how much he cares about anything other than his own promotion, he chooses a VP candidate that is an insult to the process of electing the highest #2 office within the government. McCain has one foot in the grave already with his age, yet doesn't care about what would happen if he kicked the bucket in a year.... he'd rather win the election with trickery. It's all about him. I'd rather see Mickey Mouse be President. This in no way insults Barak Obama; however I certainly think the best President would have been Hilliary. We aren't that fortunate that the American people would have been that smart for her to win the election. We get dumber every day.

      I agree that Hillary would be the best President, but the Super-delegates stole the nomination from her (even though she got the most primary votes). Unfortunately, Obama is too much of an unknown on important issues. His "Change we can believe in" is nothing but double-talk - He changes his mind to suit the current polls. We need a leader, not a poll-taker in the White House. If McCain blows the job, Hillary will be a shoe-in in 4 short years.

    I see the comments below which drives me to say something. We may have had a Republican President for the past eight years, but Congress is mainly Democrat. Congress is what decides on the policies. The President cannot change a thing if Congress doesn't vote it so. We need a Republican Congress. I feel that Obama is a great speaker, but his greatness ends there. If we get a Democrat Congress, and a Democrat President, America will be in great trouble. So yes, think long and hard when you go to the ballot box.

        I think you need to check your facts. G.W. Bush has vetoed fewer bills in his tenure as President than any President in recent history. He has vetoed a total of 8 bills and of those, 4 were overturned by congress. In contrast Bill Clinton vetoed 37, G.H.W. Bush vetoed 44, and Reagan vetoed 78. So at least for the last two years I would have to say that Congress has to take the hit for the lousy economy. No they would not have been able to "turn the Titanic around", but maybe they could have at least rescued a few of the passengers.

      Democrats have been in for two years and have faced vetoes and filibusters everytime they try to do anything. With that kind of interference, even dems can't fix what the Republicans did in the preceding 6 years.

      At least there IS a record of Palin's time in office. There is none to be found of Obama's 8 years in Illinois. So with him all we have to go on is what he "says" & whom he is affiliated with. That doesn't look real good.

    The fact that the race is so close spells 2 things: racisim in America and consequence of our education system. Contributing both Barack and Palin's appeal to 'newness' is absurd. I was a Clinton support because I worry about Barack's ability to manuver in a tough and dirty environment. However, I do see his appeal: intelligence and sincerity. And Palin? She appeals to the mass who have suffered years of brainwash and slogan, I suspect a direct consequence of inequegate education. After 7.5 years of disaster with someone whom they feel comfortable having a beer with, they still want more. The main reason Obama is not doing better among them is something literally superficial: his skin color.

    All Presidents grey and age while in office. Can't remember one that did it so noticeably while running as Obama. If running for the office is stressing him out, what will running the country do to him? Check out the grey hair and the crow's feet around the eyes that was not there 18 months ago. He is the complete meaning of "empty suit." Obama, a Madison Ave ad agency's creation, that the liberal press can't get enough of. The elite media has always felt it was their place to run this country, since the late 60's. Most of the media types 55 and older were the same jerks that were rioting on the collage campuses in the 60's & 70's.
    I truly think most hate the foundation of our liberty and want a socialistic government that tolerated a favorable press. NO I DIDN'T HEAR THIS ON FOX. I KNOW HOW THINK FOR MYSELF.

    Polls are just polls - they are as useful to one side as to the other. Still, can there be any question though that Barak and his Dem associates are not closely following the polls? You don't think they did not enjoy a ten point spread in their favor and now grow concerned when the spread is not in their favor? The Obama magic is yesterday's news. Can he press home is point. Well, magic and eloquence is no longer going to cut it. He will now have to be clear and consistent in his thought and persuasive that one needs not be particularly qualified to be President - just have some good ideas. Then he will have to be persuasive that his ideas would really make good policy. So far, voters are increasingly dubious.

    As a lifelong Democrat, I do find it amazing that they are so inept when it comes to electing Presidental candidates when these elections have been all but handed to them on a platter. Kerry in 2004 was a horrible candidate-what did he offer on top of what any Democrat would offer-carry New York? Geez. Now, Obama has peaked, and the GOP has done a great job at branding him a ParisBritney candidate while stealing the celebrity mantle for one of their own, masterfully if you ask me. Only the Democrats, by nominating what appears to be, (even if reality reveals otherwise) to be a far-left funny named threat to the heartland. I am on the verge of giving up. Can we start the Hillary 2012 campaign now? I would rather send my money there than to Obama at this point.

    Does anyone here REALLY believe these "polls"? Shouldn't we have learned decades ago, these polls are fixed, and percentages "are thrown out there" depending on how bent the polltakers are to one side or the other. You cannot trust any polls put out in the media today; particularly nowdays. Repubs depend on the stupidity of the American people, and depend on manipulating that. This the best thing they have going for them.

    There is something that needs to be said for Palin! That is she can afford to take care of her family and her familys family! I am saying this because I now a paramedic who has dealt with crack mommys and there kids! Example...One day, la la la, a crack lady had a baby IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! Paramedics were called and found the woman holding her baby still attached to the cord! What next for the baby? I need to know! Everyday little ones fall victim to this horrible world and end up with medical issues, crack head parents who don't take care of them or end up handicapped in fostercare! Not to many people adopt kids with special needs! Who is going to take care of them our rich republicans who are prolife! I want to know! Sarah Palin can take care of her children because she is a rich republican who probably has awesome health benifits! Along with McCain and his 7 houses!

      Danic, you're right. As governer of that territory up there (how it became a state is utterly beyond me, other than 50's style anti-communist hysteria), she gets full health benefits for her and her family. The Alaskan taxpayers pay for her, her drunk of a husband, and their slutty kids.
