I do find it funny tho how Obama questions Palens qualifications, She is actually more experanced than him !!!

And do we need to bring up the fact that she is not running for president... McCain is.

    • Posted By: ritasee @ 09/14/2008 10:23:09 AM

She would be a heartbeat away from the presidency if the old guy kicks the bucket. She can't hold a candle to Obama for intellect and readiness to serve. The emperor has no clothes!

      • Posted By: Love This Stuff @ 09/14/2008 10:49:51 AM

The emporer would be Obama. If you are talking about Palin, that would be vice emporer and she would look a heck of a lot better with no clothes than Obama!

Its sickening to see the amount of RACISM on this board, you all should be ashamed to be AMERICANS.
    OBAMA / BIDEN 08!!

    • Posted By: Love This Stuff @ 09/14/2008 10:48:13 AM

The fact that you think everyone that does not agree with you is a racist says a lot about you!

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/14/2008 10:39:36 AM

      Obama/Biden 08! -For the people!

McCain/Palin -For the SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS!

Finally - some journalism that discuss the facts and does not insult my intelligence (unlike CNN, MSNBC, ABC); - Thank you, please keep it up - don't go the route of Charlie Gibson and his producers.

now they pull even? I thought they were in the lead

  • Posted By: marko1965 @ 09/14/2008 12:20:23 AM

Americans love sleaze and as long as John McCain can keep his sleaze level up he'll lead in the polls. Now if Americans could pull their partisan heads out of their partisan butts and look at the things that McCain plans to do Obama might pick up. But we all know that ain't going to happen. Three years into the next Republican presidency and Americans will cry the blues...but turn up the sleaze in 2012 and Sarah Palin's back in.
Some people are beginning to think of America as a big joke.

    • Posted By: chrisphx66 @ 09/14/2008 10:40:15 AM

No, they were beginning to think that 8 years ago. We've only confirmed their suspicions.

I'm happy to report that the majourity of American voters have gotten wise, we realize that there's such a thing called "Media Hype" which we were blind to in the past, but thank GOD we have become very aware of these " Trivial persuits". All the other positive facts about the more positive candidate, "OBAMA" " Fact checked" We the people are also very aware that the future looks brighter with OBAMA as president.
We do love our brother macain but it's time he takes the rest of his life to rest his delapidated body, aftyer all he has worked hard whether to good or bad, longevity isn't on his sideright now.
The past pattern must be erradicated once and for all, and let a more focused, more positive, candidate look out for our concerns, it's no time now for the inevitable hospital regime to enter the white house. thanks but no thanks, we are voting for "POSITIVE CHANGE" can we stop the fight and just Unite?

This election hinges on race simply because Sen. Obama is considered black although his mother was white.
White-Americans think blacks want special treatment when in fact, blacks want fair treatment instead. While I agree that Affirmative Action should not exist in policy, it is a necessary evil because before it existed, black people in America did not exist! Locked out of jobs, fair-housing, promotions as well as advancement. I am the only person in the country who remembers when blacks were automatically paid a dollar less when performing the duties as their white counter-parts? Or that remembers how impossible it was for blacks to get a decent education? Now whites pretend that everything is just fine! There is no racial problem in America. Please!!! Some of the very post that I read here are based solely upon racist beliefs. People take issue with everything Sen. Obama says and/or does. They blamed him for the rantings of Rev. Wright but does anyone remember a guy named David Duke? Does anyone remember the extreme racist known as the KKK? How they torched the homes of blacks who worked hard to move into better neighborhoods? Or how they hung blacks from trees just for looking at a white woman?

Yes, this election is about race...but it shouldn't be, just like affirmative action SHOULD NOT be necessary in a nation that predicates its beliefs on the concept that all who legally dwell in this country and who live under its flag; are created equal!

What about voter fraud? Axelrod is a Mayor Daly team player and is a master of the Democrat practice
of massive voter fraud. I think every state should sentence everyone caught to at least 5 years.

The fact that Sarah (Spiderwoman) Palin, is making such a difference in this race is a testament to the craziness of voters who don't care about the issues. Who among us would disagree that Sarah Palin would even have been selected by McCain if the Democratic ticket were Obama/Clinton. Obama made a huge mistake in not selecting Hillary Clinton. The superdelegates made an even bigger mistake in not voting the way their states voted, and going for Senator Clinton. What Barack Obama needs to do now is to put aside his pride for the sake of the party, and involve HIllary Clinton to a GREAT degree. He should'nt underestimate her value. He also needs to get tough with the Republicans, really tough. Jackie Robinson (when he made his debut as the first African American baseball player) on April 15, 1947) was told by Branch Rickey, not to fight back when confronted with racism, but rather to remain cool and composed. It's not 1947 anymore, Barack Obama should turn up his internal heat, and lazer in on the Rebublicans. . Race and Gender should not be a reason to vote or not vote for a candidate. Qualifications matter. If Senator Obama can deliver, we Democrats will win. If he can't, then we will be stuck with four years of Republican ripoffs.

Sounds like you're questioning Obamas decision making. Now you know why most people don't trust him. No experience.

    • Posted By: SEA Observer @ 09/14/2008 10:29:38 AM

Obama will never win until he and your party get off the "we are the victim" and "where's my hand out" mentality!

  • Posted By: russ from SD @ 09/14/2008 10:28:50 AM

The bottow line here is that people should vote based on the issues. If you vote for one ticket because Palin is a woman or because Obama is black, you are an idiot. By the way Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin have nothing in common besides being women.

  • Posted By: josemarti @ 09/12/2008 7:19:29 PM

All Democrats att all levels need to rally around Obama. They need to speak with one voice and say: America this is our man. He is our leader. He is the future of the party. I hope that Obama will realize the importance of making more campaign stops with key Democrats: Bill Clinton,Speaker Pelosi, Reverend Jackson, Senator Durbin, Senator Reed, Representative Conyers, Senator Rockefeller, Mayor Kilpatrick, Dennis Kucinich, Mayor Daley, Senator Dodd.
    Spitzer,

What a collection of losers your 'key Democrats' are! LOL, no wonder they are about to lose an election they should be winning in a landslide. The lunatic fringe is clearly in charge at the DNC.

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/12/2008 11:39:17 PM

Your party = a bunch of crooked liars and thieves including McCain and his new protege. This is why I no longer vote Rep. I looked in the mirror one day and hated myself.

Pia1981, I applaud your intelligence. I'd be the same way if the Dems had such losers running. Kudos to you!

It is very interesting to know that people are closing their eyes on the issues that are affecting MOST americans. If you don't and I repeat, DON'T make a substantial income in this economy, you will struggle along with the rest of average americans. The BUSH DOCTRINE and their supporters are blinded by one or two issues they believe in and the remaining important issues like our economy, will destroy our country if we continue on this unrighteous path.

GET REAL EVERYONE --- THE GOP DOES NOT DESERVE TO WIN THIS ELECTION BASED SIMPLY UPON THEIR TERRIBLE PERFORMANCE FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS. THE MAJORITY OF FAULT HAS BEEN THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. THEY SHOULD BE FIRED JUST AS YOU AND I WOULD BE FOR GIVING SUCH POOR PERFORMANCE. THIS COUNTRY IS IN MUCH WORSE SHAPE THAN WE WERE 8 YEARS AGO AND WE MUST VOTE IN THE PEOPLE THAT DID NOT VOTE 90% IN FAVOR OF THOSE GOP PROGRAMS THAT HAS LEFT US WHERE WE ARE TODAY. IE; IN A MESS...

  • Posted By: Cameo @ 09/14/2008 9:35:18 AM

Morality? McCain? Being in a camp for prisoners of war does not qualify someone for the presidency!!! Get real.....There are pressing concerns for this country....We are intelligent people....Personality may count some but we have to look at what is best for our country....We have to get our own affairs in order to be able to be #1 again in this world....
