I can hardly wait for the debates because guess what,,,,the questions are going to be on the issues and McCain's campaign is an empty shell with no real ideas on how to solve the problems ....so enjoy the lead while you can McCain because both you and your gal Palin will be exposed for what they really are during these debates...I can hardly wait for the Biden Palin match...and McCain on stage with Obama there will be stark contrasts . The elder out of touch politican with no fresh ideas beside a younger smart politican who has a plan to get out of the 8 year disaster and nightmare us middleclass people have been living in....You don't get it the American people have caught on...and they are not having it anymore. Enough is Enough

When all of the Republican smoke and mirrors settles and people enter that polling booth they will vote for their own best nterests. The Bush fiasco has proven that when we vote for the guy who doesnt tell us what he will do for us as president he actually does nothing for the people only hisfriends. Look at Mr McCAins supporters, they are the same bunch that brought us Mr. Bush and his grand fiasco and has weakened this great country of ours to the point that we may never recover to be the world power we once were economically and politically.

Not true. I am a Democrat but I am supporting McCain because I believe the toher choice does not intend to put America First. Too many special interests.....

The voting public is beginning to focus on the Campaigns. The leftist liberal trashing of Gov. Palin, has awakened the silent majority----People are seeing that Obama doesn't really have much experience and behind his glib speeches is pushing for ever bigger government and expanded welfare programs. That he snubbed our wounded troops in his grand European tour---shows he is for obama, not the country.

    • Posted By: tired of GOP @ 09/13/2008 1:36:41 PM

It is obvious that you are ill informed , if you would research the issues you refer to Mr Obama paid high tribute to our troops by visiting them personally. If you would stop listening to the Fox and Limberger propaganda machines you might be able to discern between truth and lies. I do hope you are happy with the fact that the GOP has sold out our great country and I assume that would include you as an american citizen ( are you?). Each child born today will have to pay back China 32000 dollars before they can make a dime for them selves thanks to you and those who follow the GOP Kool Aide .

Thanks for making this country less GOP

      • Posted By: jlzmvar @ 09/13/2008 3:39:34 PM

Gary, Obama didn't visit the wounded troops in Germany because he could not bring the media. It is a sad fact but it is true.....just ask those who were there......

In his new ad Obama looks directly into the camera and defines a leader of real change ending with: "You need a leader that can unite the country". Ha ha ha! As a yellow dog liberal who has voted straight democrat for the last 40 years, I'm dismayed that the man who can't even unite his own party can display such hypocrisy. An intelligent person isn't going to bet on the unknown Obama. Obama supporters are wrong to assume Obama is the coming Messiah, or Martin Luther King or that McCain is Bush, Look at his character. He definitely did make the pig remark toward Palin! By saying it shortly after she did, it was definitely an inference to her. He's not stupid, he was frustrated and the sexist misogynist pig lashed out at her, just like he did Hillary. Obama is laughable. He's not ready, nor will he ever be. Hubris, pride, arrogance, conceit, deception, these are Obama's traits that undermine his character and debilitate any effectiveness; he is a pompous bird and arrogant SOB. I voted for Hillary, I will vote for experience again, with McCain. Obama is a fake, a phony and a fraud; he's an experienced do nothing for the last 4 years, a joke. If the women on the ???View??? can hit McCain harder than Obama then you know Barack ain???t the man for the job! It???s simplistic to say that the Republicans had their 8 years in power and failed. Obama is not MLK and McCain is not Bush and the Republicans. If McCain gets the white house it may be the best thing going for us liberals. If McCain succeeds liberals will benefit. If he fails then it will solidify Republicans ever getting control again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Fool me 3 times, it ain???t ever gonna happen again! But to put the childishly immature Obama in office would be a disaster for the party and the country. Obama supporters are the simple-minded whom they accuse McCain supporters of being. Obama couldn't unite north south magnets. As a Hillary supporter, I'm still waiting to hear him directly, ask me for my vote. Such Hubris! Such a stuck up elitist! This country is in trouble. Only someone with experience who works well with others can fix this, if we can fix it at all. Obama still thinks he can do it his way only and refuses to listen to the will of the people or anyone else except for his dictatorial, power hungry wife. Liberal for McCain 2008.

after watching 2 days' worth of Sarah Palin interviews, I have decided to go back
to Biden/Obama....I almost got fooled by the lipstick. It is very obvious now that
she doesn't have what it takes to be VP, much less P!

    • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 09/13/2008 10:34:41 AM

After watching 5 minutes worth of Sarah Palin interviews, I realized this election is over and McCain and Palin are going to win in a LANDSLIDE! The demolosers will have to wait until the 2020 election to have their next chance to win the presidency!

      • Posted By: SBfromCA @ 09/13/2008 3:15:57 PM

Holycrap! This IS the conclusion you drew from watching little Sarah's interview with Gibson? She is f**king stupid and ignorant in this interveiw, and YET you think MacPalin is gonna win. OMG! You Republican obviously have very low expectation from your candidates. Let me be honest here, I used to be a Republican voter and now I am an Independent. I just can't see how American can stand another 4 years of this sh*t!!! But then again, we have way too many rednecks in this country (the Red States) and that's what' sgoing to continue dragging America into a deeper sh*t.

      • Posted By: snesich @ 09/13/2008 11:20:41 AM

More Republican wishful thinking, based upon nothing but immature "my team will win" sentiments. Come back with some facts next time...

Don't underestimate the women-power in this election. From the polls it is evident that the Palin pick is overwhelmingly a favorable one with women. I think Obama got lost in the Palin fervor, and he is not coming back. I bet he is angry for not choosing Hillary to be on his ticket. If he had chosen Hillary, there would be no Palin for him to deal with today. It's too late now.

Fair Tax, that is the nagging question that intelligent people would ask.... and Obama has not properly addressed! I lived under communism, I worked in Muslim country.... I have seen alot of evil.... and one thing that I can say with certainty is that most American under estimate evil.

I don't think America is worthy of change or Obama at this point. Stupidity is at its peak in the country. No where in the world do people vote purely on the packaging without evaluating the issues. Just a couple of days on CNN, Republican strategist Bay Buchanan was mocking a Democrat strategist saying that Republicans were not going to focus on issues at the moment because their current Palin strategy is working. She asks, "why do we want to change if this is working for us?". I thought that was a sad moment in politics of this country when someone can openly and blatantly declare that they are taking people for a ride and will keep at it because its working. If people fail to understand that then they deserve what they get.

    • Posted By: Rose Black @ 09/13/2008 2:02:00 PM

I agree with you, Jake. The world is watching us and laughing. They already know how stupid we were to vote that idiot Bush into office and now McCain. McCain doesn't even know how to send an email message. How stupid is that? We need a modern president for the 21st century to lead us to the top of the global market.

      • Posted By: SBfromCA @ 09/13/2008 3:04:48 PM

True that! This country still has too many rednecks who believe whatever their beloved politicians tell them. Those Mccain ads had stirred outrages from Democrats, even some of those better-educated Repubilcans and Independents alike. The sad thing is most rednecks believe those ads. America is beyond help.

Look. Obama did make a mistake in not taking a stand against his church right away, but he decided to leave the church. Of course with John Mccain we never knew he even went to church until I had to do a keyword search on the internet. Sarah Palin used to go to a church where her pastor said all Kerry voters are going to hell. I voted for the guy and I am a Christian. I guess both sides will have some damage control on their hands. Nevertheless, what we do in our personal lives doesn't always reflect how we would run a country. I have said words to my friends I would regret, and could be used against me in public office. That wouldn't mean I don't deserve a chance. We forget about what Hagee said about gays in New Orleans getting what they deserve from God. Mccain wanted his endorsement, and Phil Gramm's comment about a "Nation of Whiners" in a state where many proud workers who were Michigan's best, were laid off. How insensitive could you get.

Why does Barack Hussein Obama AND his supporters want to make this election about ethnicity??? He's HALF white and HALF black. Why does everyone insist that he's black? Why should Barack Hussein Obama and his supporters think his skin color matters??? I don't like him because he's a scum sucking liberal. It has nothing to do with the fact that he's half white.

    • Posted By: Nell215 @ 09/13/2008 2:56:07 PM

This again shows that Americans are not educated people. In the days when the Constitution was written and blacks were enslaved, when a master raped a woman and she had a baby the baby was considered black. It was whites who stated that one drop of black blood makes you black. Educate yourself.

This Congress has been in session close to two years and now they have accomplished exactly nothing to meet any challenges. Now Senator Obama wants you to believe that things will get better if Democrats control both the Congress and the presidency, But when Americans demand change in Washington, one-party rule where power is an end of itself isn???t exactly what they have in mind. It is an hypocrisy and Obama is the biggest liar of all. If you don''t understand or wake up to this fact- you all are toast. This is a fact.

The smug, self righteous, thick-skulled lower vertebrates could choose our president again. They learned nothing from the Bush fool. Brit Hume, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh have kept them in line to serve their masters, the top one percent. The ultimate goal of propaganda is to make the truth sound like BS. The Republican mafia made off with their brains when LBJ pushed through some civil rights measures that challenged their sense of superiority over black people, symbolized by the whites only water cooler. The successful job of brainwashing done on them gives them the feeling that they've got it all figured out, despite the fact that most of them come across as high school dropouts. How quickly they rallied around the pathologically religious Palin douche bag!

One question ... I am having a hard time trying to decide which Republican I am voting for and I don't think I am the only one. Am I supposed to vote for McCain when all the coverage shows Sarah Palin at the podium with the crowdschanting her name and McCain smiling demurely behind her, or am I voting for Sarah Palin as the future Republican president!

This election for the Democrats is all going to be about turnout and Obama focusing on the issues. He can't do anything in his debates or speeches that can be misinterperted as being hostile towards any specific group of people. He has to go to the small towns and come across to them like he is one of them. He needs to focus on his mother's family background as well as his ethnic roots and be able to connect across cultural and racial lines.

  • Posted By: SBfromCA @ 09/13/2008 2:34:54 PM

Yo! Democrats! Stop wasting your time and breath trying to revive those helpless rednecks who are die hard fans of MacPalin. Don't watse any more of your time, just go out there and get the votes out for Obama/Biden. These people are the ones that brought our country to today's devastation, and they will continue doing so no matter what you say. They are from the Dark Age, they probably never finish high school and they firmly belive what the government tells them, they have 18 kids running around in their house, the only world they know is their little hometown (like the one sweet Sarah came from) and they probably don't have a passport (like their sweetheart little Sarah). Intellegent views mean nothing to them and speak nothing to them. They just want to feel "connected" regradless of the candidates' policy on issues. Bunch of rednecks who never set foot outside this country, probably not even outside their villages.... You can put lipstick on the pig and it's still a pig! I love that Repubilcan phrase! I think it's genius! All these polls say nothing about what general voters think. Face it! rednecks! This country is in deep sh*t. No matter how impressed you are by your sweet Sarah's "qualifications", she is still a redneck who know jacksh*t about foreign policy. The way she recited every scripts the speechwriter conured up for her is disgusting. Listen to how she repeated her script time after time during her interview with Charles Gibson, you know she is a fake. Imagine when she faces of with Vladimir Putin after old Mac dies..........GOD HELP US!!!!!!

    Comment: josemarti,
Um, in your list of Democrats Obama has needed I do not see the name HILLARY CLINTON anywhere.
I guess you think he didn't need her either, because HE SURE THOUGHT SO.
It will not be a surprise when Biden becomes suddenly unable to fulfill his nomination acceptance
and Hillary steps in at Obama's pleading.
Well, it is WAY TOO LATE now Obama-EGO. You made your FIRST self-appointed EXECUTIVE
decision and you ego-tripped YOURSELF and your ambitions right out the window.
Funny, however, as I believe, like most supporters of Hillary Clinton, I would not have voted
for even a so-called 'dream' ticket anyhow, as I do not like him, do not trust him, and thoroughly
and wholeheartedly believe he is inflated with air and ego.

    -----------

As opposed to a man who sold out his integrity and is now pegged as a liar. Gotcha.
