    From the McCain/Palin Press Office:

ARLINGTON, VA ??? Today the McCain-Palin campaign announced the endorsement of Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee???s Platform Committee.

???In an election as important at this, we must choose the candidate who has a proven record of bipartisanship and reforming government, and that???s John McCain,??? Rothschild said.

???We can???t afford a president who lacks experience and judgment and has never crossed party lines to work for meaningful reform. Amid tough economic times and foreign policy concerns, we need someone who is ready to lead. Although I am a Democrat, I recognize that it???s more important to put country ahead of party and that???s why I support John McCain.???

Rothschild, an attorney and businesswoman, supported Sen. Clinton during the Democratic primaries. She will campaign for Sen. McCain through Election Day.

    NOBAMA!!!

John McCain knew that Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac would collapse, and thereby unjustly burden the American public!

In 2005, Senator John McCain cosponsored the Federal Housing Enterprise Reform Act to regulate the powers and procedures of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.

These 2 massive federal finance agencies had been operating without controls in a blatant irresponsible manner, and had been found guilty in court of falsifying financial records and statements in order to provide supposed justification for bonuses to be given to their higher echelon administrators.

These 2 organizations had been coerced by Democrats, who because of political opportunism, wanted them to grant mortgages to individuals who would be unable to make their required monthly payments. That would be in accordance with the irresponsible Democrat belief that everyone should be entitled to have their own home, irrespective of their actual ability to afford that luxury.

Both of these mortgage lending institutions have contributed massive financial sums to support the political aspirations of Chris Dodd and Barack Obama.

Senator John McCain realized 3 years ago that fraudulent transactions were rampant within these 2 enterprises, and that they would soon collapse if remedial action was not undertaken.

Their bankruptcy would result in the American taxpayers having to go into debt to resurrect or ???bail-out??? these fraudulent Congress protected entities.

As was to be expected, this proposal to institute meaningful financial reform measures was obstructed by the Democrats in the Senate, and the proposal failed to be adopted.

This year, due to the Democrat furor over the collapse of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, the American taxpayers are burdened by having to pay a minimum of 450 billion dollars to ???bail out??? these 2 recklessly managed lending companies.

John McCain exposed and opposed the corrupt lending practices of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.
Barack Obama ???milked the system??? and profited by obstructing reform of their corrupt lending practices.

Democrats have demonstrated that they can wreck the mortgage industry.

Are you willing to vote them into office, and give them a blank check to mismanage the American economy, security, and health care?

Oh yeah, and the republicans have done such a GREAT job with the economy. It's not recession, it's just a slow period, that's not the republicans fault. It's not like the republicans are heading the government and regulating our economy, oh wait they are. The REASON the mortgage crisis occured in the first place, and the company of Freddy Mae failed, was because George Bush lifted the regulations on the mortgage companies, allowing this to happen, regulations set during a democratic presidency to PREVENT this type of thing from occuring. So if you think you can blame the democrats, for things like a worsening economy regulated BY the republicans, go right ahead. It seems like the only thing you can do nowadays. Blame the Democrats for the war and the economy, even though republicans are running the war in Iraq and the economy (and so much more), it's not like they're running the Iraq war and the economy, the Dems are doing it. Doesn't MAKE SENSE right? didn't think so.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild supports John McCain, saying she feels Obama has difficulty connecting with average voters.
    ----------------
LOL, this woman must be intoxicated to think McCain understands the average American better than Obama. I guess she simply doesn't like Obama because of his skin color, period. Who would think a guy is more in touch with average Americans when he said "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" and who admits that he does not udnerstand the economy?? Oh, she msut be in favor of the same Bush policies, so she is jsut sailing udner false colors and is not a Democrat. She forgets Obama's background coming from a broken family and living abroad.

I guess in your witless and single-track world, anyone who opposes Obama for any reason whatsoever is a racist...correct?

You are sadly typical of the left-wing bloggers here on Newsweak

Although it is funny to even think that Mccain is more in touch with the average voter when he thinks the economy is going strong, the war in Iraq is going well, and that most of Bush's policies are working. For a guy that doesn't even remember how many houses he owns, believing this this guy is more in touch with the average voter than Obama just stretches it a little too far, don't you think.

In the clearest sign yet that Obama has rebounded and that McCain???s bounce has
faded, Obama recaptured the lead in the Gallup tracking poll for the first time in
11 days and the new CBS/New York Times poll found Obama taking his first national
lead outside of the margin of error since the GOP convention started.
But what is also remarkable in this latest round of state polls is that most battleground
states appear to be tightening - shifting in Obama???s direction if they are generally
McCain-leaning and in McCain???s direction if they are generally Obama-leaning.

    Palin's favorability rating: 40-30
Percentage of voters who say McCain will bring change to Washington: 37% (compared to 60% Obama)

As we have continually seen from the candidates and others, as the Karl Rove tactic dictates, the Republican strategy is to say it loudly, say it boldly, say it often and even have several people repeat it, then it doesn???t matter that it isn???t the truth, as some will believe it. Be careful people. There are several people who make comments here, who can easily be identified by their persistence, their dishonesty, their strong bias and their extreme statements, who likely are connected, as volunteer/staff, with the Republican Party and are assigned to do what they are doing. It is consistent with everything else the Republicans are doing to deceive the public. The garbage they persistently put out and that they refer people to should further identify them and should be understood as attempts to mislead and manipulate. It is simply as with everything else, they do it with boldness and without any conscience. Just because things are offered on the internet doesn???t make them true; we need to be careful what and who we believe and to be logical, even cynical and rational and objective ourselves. It is very important to get it right this time!

      NewsWkDickG,

With all due respect sir, you're starting to repeat yourself over & over again. I know that you think that all McC supporters are manipulative fools. But we think the same of you Obama supporters!

So what do you say we just agree to disagree? Nonetheless, I gotta give credit where credit is due, on occasion you have posted some very 'thought provoking' arguments even 4 us righty's (well, moderate righty). Peace. Let's keep the debate goin' ... Thanks!

    • Posted By: neocon @ 09/17/2008 2:17:47 PM

Yes we do need to get the democrats out of congress. The most do nothing congress in history.

      • Posted By: benkrapf @ 09/17/2008 2:21:39 PM

They haven't got enough of a majority to do anything against W's veto pen.

If a reactionary Congress was bucking against a progressive presidency, they would encounter similar issues.

        • Posted By: neocon @ 09/17/2008 2:43:01 PM

You've got to send something anything to the prez before he can veto it. Congress hasn't. How many bills has Bush vetoed? Not many he's had a total number of vetos of 12 with 4 being overtidden. So your arguement holds no water. So try again to made a do nothing congress look better.

          • Posted By: benkrapf @ 09/17/2008 2:55:04 PM

It's true. Most don't get past the voting stage. That's what happens when you don't a have a majority. The math isn't there.

The sad fact is, nearly all Republicans in Congress toe the party line to a T, which means the Dems have no ability to reach across the aisle and develop any real bipartisan support for nearly any bill that matters, like healthcare, energy or veterans' benefits.

            • Posted By: neocon @ 09/17/2008 4:12:41 PM

Living in the DC area this stuff is daily news, the trouble is its only bipartisan if the republicans agree with the democrats. Seldom if ever will you see the roles reversed and the democrats work hand in hand with the republican side of the house. Leaving aside how shallow and, shall we say, unserious is this endless chirping for more "bipartisanship" -- as though it's a magic feel-good formula for resolving actual policy differences -- it's hard to imagine how there could possibly be any more "bipartisanship" in Washington even if that were the only goal. Other than formally disbanding as a party -- or granting a permanent proxy of their collective vote to Nancy Pelosi -- how could Congressional Republicans possibly be more accommodating than they already are? And since the democrats control both sides of the house and are in a position to push any bill they so choose they???ve taken the position to bask int their victory of 2 years ago and forgot why they were send here in the first place.

    Dear Left wing Progressive Supporters,

I know the last several weeks have been tough, but I want to take this moment to thank you for your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor's relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Moamar Quadafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myself as some sort of bi-partisan agent of change.

I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush's youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.

I would also like to thank the Kennedy's for coming out in support of me. There's a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a female employee he was having an extra marital affair with who was pregnant with his child. And I'm not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively.

And I'd like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.

Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt.

I say things that sound meaningful, but don't really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.

Americans are tired of thinking. It's time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart.
So when you go to vote in the primaries, remember don't think, just do.

    And do it for me.

    Sincerely,
    BHO

Fraud Lawsuit Joe Biden???s Brother James and Son Hunter Sued for Fraud by Hedge Fund Owner Paradigm Companies Censored by Left Wing Mainstream Media Double Standard against Sarah Palin???s Family Problems Joe Biden???s Lobbyist Son and Enabling Brother in Fraud Lawsuit by Paradigm Hedge Fund Joe Biden has Family Lobbyist and Fraud Problems Seldom Reported by Liberal Press.

Joe Biden???s son, Hunter, and brother, James, are being sued by Paradigm Companies, a hedge fund company, for defrauding the company out of millions of dollars. Hunter, age 38, was president of the fund company, making 1.2 million dollars during his short stay there, having gained the job by Joe Biden telling James to help get Hunter out of the lobbyist business, which would ostensibly not help Biden???s run for vp, so now they are being sued by Paradigm for fraud. This case would be old news if it had been given the coverage which it surely would have if it had been Sarah Palin???s brother and son, but now, this cat is out of the bag, that Biden???s brother and son are being sued for fraud, for allegedly making off with, or losing, millions of dollars, all because they were trying to get Hunter out of the ???evil??? lobbying business; he should have stayed where he was, because this surely will further hurt Team Obama Biden, laden with problems now.
