All these people who have never even been to Alaska pretending they know what is going on there. Getting all their data from Others who have never been there. There is a rumor going round that Sarah is going to declare open season on Democrats so the wolves will have plenty to eat and won't have to be killed to save the carribou for people to eat

Well, sognib, I DO live here in the Mat-Su Valley, Alaska, and I have since the late 1980's. I've seen all of these things transpire. They are not fictional. Do the research yourself. Call the appropriate Wasilla agencies to verify. Don't accuse the media of tainting the facts, because they really haven't.

How hasn't anyone seized on the fact that Palin lied in her interview with Gibson about statements Walt Monegan made regarding the investigation? She claimed that Monegan said Palin or her husband never contacted him directly about firing Wooten and that is absolutely false.

Here is exactly what Walt Monegan claimed happened. I hope this helps to further expose her as the liar that she is.

Everyone can see that Palin is a liar, a hypocrite, disturbed, disturbing, and a disturber.

Hopefully Floridians will say Thanks, but No Thanks, to Palin's Taliban-inspired, loopy interpretation of God's will.

So! Newsweek and the "good old boys" are upset that Sarah did a job noone else would! I live in a small town in NH with the same "good old boys" taking care of their own and disregarding all of us working folks constitutional amendments. If the court found for Governor Palin, then you guys need to get a live and go read the constitution of the United states. You guys should do something for your country rather than maintaining the status quo lilke Obama bin Biden.

Oh my. You have a typo in your post: "Obama bin Biden". I'm sure you meant to say Osama bin Laden -- otherwise, you would seem to be implying that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are terrorists -- the ones that struck our country on 9/11). Barack is a Christian (just like Sarah Palin says she is and John McCain says he is) and Joe is a Catholic. To accuse a fellow American of being a terrorist just because you don't like him or her is so anti-American.

Try newsweek and the rest of us are tired of the "bush style of politics", where you hire & fire your buddies, do what you wanna do....blah blah blah, you know the story of the last 7+ years.

WHo else is tired of the fake politicians...better known as republicans. who actually have screwed everything up, but now they claim they wanna "reform", and shape up....what have they been waiting on all this time?

      Such a crock of bull.

I think that anyone in Law Enforcement who tazor's their ten year old stepson needs to be fired. That is called child abuse ! He also drank in his patrol car. I do not think firing the person who would not fire a state trooper because he committed the above mentioned crimes abuse of power.

Sarah Palin is a woman with a DESIRE for power and uses it to her advantage. SHE is not VP material and is a danger to women's rights as we know them.

  • Posted By: arthur2008 @ 09/14/2008 3:15:19 PM

It is hard to discover in Sarah Palin the honest, reform-minded politician John McCain would have us believe is on his ticket. Rather she seems to bring to the national stage a record of vindictive, self-serving pettiness that hardly prepares her to play Number Two to a 72-year-old with multiple cancers in his history.

Anytime anyone says anything about this person, a person we do not know at all, it is fault of the libral media. We need to know everything we can know about this person. The first and most important freedom a country has is freedom of speech and the press. We can not allow anyone to only be a cheerleader for this woman or anyone. We did that with Bush. It has not been that great of times. People better wake up or we might not like the place we all love so much.

Please note 91% of commercial talk radio is conservative, pro-Republican.

In the last 20 elections, the majority of newspapers have endorsed a Democrate only twice (1964, 1992), that's just 10% of the elections.

The fastest growing news network, FOX, is blatenly pro-Republican and it's owner Rupert Murdoch does not deny this, in fact flaunts the stituation.

It's well know that voters are not happy with the media (presenting bad news is it's business), so that Republican focusing on the proveably false claim that the media is "liberal", is an attempt to associate something voters dislike with their opposition, the same way they try to associate them with a lack of morals (both parties have a problem there) and playing fast and loose with the budget (last Democrat, budget down, federal debt down, last Republican budget up, federal debt up).

The reality is that these associations and "knee-jerk" reactions are counter-productive and simply make debates "you're ugly", you're fat", etc. not the basis for good decisions.

So true, and if you look back at history, when someone wants to control the nation they get rid of the press or try to control it. It is very scary

By electing Maccain/Pallin, is like waging illconceived, war against Iraq and consequence are likely to be catastrophic. Pallin could potentially be the next President, a heartbeat away from Presidency and we could soon have world war 3 soon. Watch her comments on Russia and this woman is indeed clueless, trigger happy. God! save the world

Wasn't it Plato who said democracy would not work because, not only are people easily swayed by deceptive politicians, they are much too ignorant to know who to vote for in the first place? I don't agree with a lot of what he had to say but it sure is eerie these days. People consistently voting against themselves, all the while basing their "knowledge" on political song and dance numbers. It really scares the *** out of me to be honest. If anyone wishes to understand my fear, all you have to do is turn off the tv and the radio, stroll out to a quiet place and think for yourself. Think beyond the propaganda, the catchy campaign slogans, the lies and the money, and what you have unfortunately been trained to accept as reality; then carefully and with a heart gently sloping toward compassion for your human family, seek out the truths behind the rhetoric, behind the greed, the complacency, the hate and the self-absorbtion. Without an ear leaning this way or that you choose, just you alone, choose what is in the best interest of your whole family, the planet Earth's family, to which, regardless of your pre-concieved notions and prejudiced common-sense values, you are an outstanding member of. The deceiving of the human race has placed us in the precarious and dangerous position of ignorance. We must take the time to use our critical thinking, our wonderfully complex minds, to define and shape the decisions that will ultimately dictate the future of our species...Wow, that was some existential woo ha going on there. The moral to my story is: There is enough food to feed everyone; there is no reason anyone should be homeless; healthcare is a "human right" not a "priviledge"; and there is no reason that such a small portion of the people on the planet should control the vast majority of the planets wealth. It is not the starving nor the homeless, nor the ill or disabled that have a voice with which to plead that they might be delivered from the pain of their terrible lot in life.. I am going to shut up before I write a novel..May peace be upon you and within you all...

Again this is just the Clintons in reverse.. no one really complained when the Clintons let Hilarious run things, we all knew she did how esle did she get her experience, just standing someone does not make you experienced. This is the Democrats in reverse and you democrats don't like it, typical dish it out but can't take it, you yell women rights and then when a woman takes over she is a loser, sneaky etc, you can't have it both ways. And just what do you think will happen when and if Mc Cain/Palin take over office??? What big surprise are you warning us about? I would like to know, I sound as if I would vote for Mc/P but I wanted Obama at first and now I am not sure help me be sure. Please.

I like her. Can she skip the vice and just be president? It would be great to only have people in Washinton that you can trust. Polosi and Reed would be a good start.

It seems that the strength that John McCain demonstrated to face down the North Vietnamese collapsed when he came to challenge the ???agents of intolerance???. I can only pity this past hero???s craven collapse to secure the highest office in the land. Surely if he really wanted a serious woman on the ticket he could have chosen one who has experience and a depth of understanding for example Senator Hutchenson of Texas, Sen. Snow of Maine, or Elizabeth Dole

I agree, but then they aren't so phoney that they would sit and lie with a big smile on their face.. She makes my skin crawl

    • Posted By: ldb10AE @ 09/14/2008 11:22:21 AM

I agree. If he wanted a woman on the ticket, he could have chosen one (easily found in the Republican party) who is smarter and better qualified than Palin. I also believe that their children probably weren't pregnant at 17. This woman -- Palin -- seems to slime everything she touches -- her daughter, subordinates. She's scary.

I just changed my vote to Obama. Have anyone checked out McCain's past w/ his first wife, Carol?
He was known for being a huge womanizer, during his marriage. Pres. Reagan was appalled by his character.
People that know him, use such words as a "fake" and a very deceitful man.

    • Posted By: concho rose @ 09/14/2008 12:42:19 PM

We also need to add to that, he needs his head checked for picking this very unqualified woman... Yes, he and "w", Cheney, and Rove are licking their chops.. Face it boys, we have had all your tricks we are going to put up with

The McCain and Palin show reminds me of a sitcom of this shoe salesman that referenced a touchdown he made in high school and it didn't matter what the topic was, he MADE the WINNING touchdown in high school. If McCain hopes to win an election because he was a POW, he's in for a surprise because it didn't work the first two times. I give him credit because he's closer now than he has ever been.
