McCain was looking for a woman that thinks like a MAN. Someone that can field dress women and leave their hearts still beating in the snow. I know McCain HOPED to rush Palin in White House as a covert operation but if he knew anything about computers he'd understand just how FAST the internet is.

@techresmgt - face it, you just don't want to admit how worthless Palin is as a VP candidate. If these same things were put forward about Obama, you'd be screaming that he isn't worthy to run for office. You're as biased as the rest of us. Live with it.

I'm telling you the republicans went after Bill because he was a womanizer. McCain is older but not different and there is something called Viagra. Democrats will have a field day on McCain if he goes into the White House. Vicki may become the new Monica. Religious groups better do their homework.

As for Palin what this article shows is that she IS different because she has 5 children and was outside Washington, THAT'S IT. Washington is trying to remove it's image of working for lobbyist. Palin has a history of bending to lobbyist's wishes. She should fall in nicely in McCain's world of lobbyist.

You have to listen to what is being said, Bush and Cheney love this girl, because she is one of them even if she lived in Alaska.

Four more months, not four more years!

Ever since Palin was announced as V.P. pick for John McCain, the popular media has launched a never ending attack on her, her political career, and everything Palin. This is not balanced media. The popular media gives Oprahma a 'free pass' on everything, becoming his apologist in most cases. If Palin so much as sneezes in the wrong direction, the media goes into 'attack mode'. This is NOT what the founding fathers had in mind for a shining example of a 'free and balanced press'. These examples are not those of a democratic 'free press'. The media has become the campaign tool for the candidate that spends the most money, evidently. The popular media is supposed to report the news, not become the news.

So Bristol had a baby and then got "knocked up" a week later. LOL. I know you're only in high school now, but someday when you're a big boy or girl you'll understand why that is SO HILARIOUS. If you do ever have a child (I haven't met you, but I somehow wouldn't bet on those odds), I hope you'll remember saying that. Adults can understand why that just wouldn't quite work.

And if you believe that is not possible, then ask your GYN. Why do you think they ask women to refrain from sex for 6weeks? Perhaps you should ask those women who have two children (9mos apart). I graduated with children from two different families. Yup, nine months apart. Yup, nine months apart.

wildlifeusa, I get it, but those who are too blind to see do not. These are the issues that they don't want discussed. When they can't eat or buy any gas to go to work, because they are unemployed, then they will see the truth. There are none so blind as those who WILL not see.

Sounds to me like Sarah Palin is a bully

    • Posted By: Pain @ 09/14/2008 6:25:51 AM

Yep, just the attack dog we need to put Obama with his socialist ideas back under his rock.

      • Posted By: HotTopics @ 09/14/2008 11:14:17 AM

Er, excuse me. Not put Obama back under a rock, but to put McSame out of the picture. Who is the subject in this pos? Palin. What is being said about McSame? Nothing. Isn't he the Republican candidate? Hmnnnnnnnn.... This is more Karl Rove ( Peter Pettigrew) tactics.

Reminds me of what my mother once said. "You can bury trash, and even though you don't smell it now, you can't stop it from stinking. How true.

The more I learn about Sarah Palin, the more I fear for the future of this nation.

    • Posted By: Pain @ 09/14/2008 6:20:06 AM

People all around me feel the same about Obama.

      • Posted By: jayel2402 @ 09/14/2008 10:18:12 AM

obama could have easily chosen hillary and win and i'm sure he knows that but instead chose biden because he knew that the people would be best served by somebody with a broad knowledge of foreign policy thus he took the chance with a nominee that only garnered less than a million votes in the primaries. but then again look at who mccain pidk, somebody he hardly knew. quite irresponsible, i'd say.

It is very clear that the Press is all Democratic , I believe the press should be doing a better job in stating the truth and do not butter it up. Newsweek should take a look at what just happened to the Govenor in Montana, it got put under the rug almost instantly , the public wanted him investigated , the officals said he was only joking. Had to do with the election results for US Senate in the last election. The firing of a police offical I take my hat of to Palin. THe law can confict people on circumstantial evidence , then why should police departments be any different? Change Campaign, what can you change when you have done nothing.

Education. Who needs it if you are a Republican running for high office. ... It only makes you harder to control.

Cleaning house...what happens when a new party takes the white House?

  • Posted By: Heavypiece @ 09/14/2008 7:21:38 AM

These articals are written as if this type of stuff has never happened befor in the relm of politics. New people are elected and those people make changes. Why would they keep people around that disagree with them on issues? Those people don't help them get things done, they just get in the way. Most all elected officials "clean house" when they get in offfice.. Seems to me that the folks who were removed are the ones looking for "Payback".

    To Katiec:

Before I leave this site.know that your words give me some comfort. We are few. That band of brothers. We hope that someday there might be hope. We love our country not for the sake of pride but for the humble beginnings on which her foundation was built. We strive not for glory, fame or accolades but to aspire to achieve the intangibles for which our forefathers gave their lives in search of. That freedom not be defined by the number of zeros in your bank account or how many homes you own. That instead we might grasp that which our country's founders longed for. That freedom is in every mountain that we climb, every river that we cross, every stream we fish in and every field our children play in. It is in the books that we choose to read, the songs we choose to listen to and the music of our choice that we dance to. Freedom is being able to walk down your street in peace, shop in the store of your choice, eat in the restaraunt of your choosing. It is in the eyes of the elderly as they sit on a bench and feed the pigeons and the wisdom behind those eyes, It is in the laughter and cry of every newborn child. It is in the memory of every man and woman, soldier or citizen, who has ever fought and died to defend all of the above. And yet, there comes a time when one grows tired. A weariness settles upon thy head like the sun setting on the horizon. Like Sisyphus you toil with the boulder trying valiantly to reach the top of the hill only to watch it roll back down. I'm tired. Like Atlas and the world. I don't know how to give up. I don't know how to quit. And yet, the weariness of the toil beats down upon me. I'm watching the veil of darkness descend upon the light of liberty to snuff it forever from existence. Perhaps it is destiny. This never ending struggle. Then so be it. If we can not win then let it be known that we fought the good fight. Let them remember freedom when tyranny crashes upon it's stalwart wall with a furious crescendo. If darkness overwhelms us then let it do so at the expense of storming Liberty's ramparts upon which its defending patriots stand so strong. Let tyrrany beat her fist upon the sacrifice of my patriot countrymen. And may the devil take the one left standing.

I think I'll read some Yeats now and have another whiskey, neat. Farewell all. . .

I think Palin, if elected, would be another Dick Chaney. I think Alaskans feel so isolated up there, that they play by their own rules. Alaska is kind of like the wild west. A culture ripe with bars and guns. Palin talks about small-town values all the time, but pettiness and small mindedness are also small-town characteristics.

AHHHH,her great sin was upsetting Liberals and left wingers?
These are people who are always upset about something or other, and move on to the next upset. and pretyy soon you wonder where your freedoms went!
the Liberal news media is fixated on Palin now because she threatens Owhiney Swineys chances of becoming president.
Isikoff and Hosenball must be sexist, bigoted homophobes for crying out loud!
Why can't they simply cover the history of Bill Ayers? The hatefull bomb maker? Look what HE can do to a town!
