Palin religiously believes that these are the "end times." So she is okay with American or the world being distroyed, because Christians will go to heaven.

Obviously, Palin will not keep us safe from terrorism. Think this over.

I have been without power for a week, thanks to Hurricane Ike, and I'm just now able to get online to voice my anger. It breaks my heart to do this because I respect many of your columnists -- George Will, Fareed Zakaria, and others -- but I must cancel my subscription to your magazine. The photograph of Sarah Palin in last week's edition -- wrapped in a United States flag??? WHAT were you thinking? It reminded me of the quote... Fascism will come to America wrapped in a flag and carrying a Bible.
Now I've looked through this week's edition. In the first half of the mag, I counted 27 pages with stories (the rest were ads). Out of those 27 pages, 18..... count 'em 18... pages were devoted to Sarah Palin.
We are in the middle of the biggest financial problems in my lifetime and you devote the vast majority of the first half of the edition on Sarah Palin? Are you aware that it's McCain running for office?

"What do Women Want?" This one wants to cancel her subscription.

It has been a classic "American marketing" achievement: Sarah Palin, despite her dismal national and foreign affair experience relative to any vice president candidates ever, has energized and turned the Republican Party around, and became the overnight front-page "pageant-like" celebrity. Now, the hottest items in stores are Palin eye-glasses, Palin dolls, Palin shoes, and on and on. It is almost unthinkable that she may even become the first woman President of the United States, should "God forbid", anything happen to John McCain, the oldest presidential candidate other than Ronald Reagan. It is where the pageantry, charm, image, ability to relate to others and crafty communication (despite her accusations to her opponent and claims of her credentials were not always truthful) are not the only things, but everything that count.

As stunned as I have been over the past weeks by the GOPs unabashed embracing of this absurdly inexperienced woman (I keep imagining the scorn such a person would encounter were she standing next to Obama) I was stunned speechless by Palin???s choice of quote: ???We grow good people in our small towns with honesty, sincerity and dignity.???
Though Newsweek chose not to give the particulars its author, I contend it should be, not just noted, but written in blazing letters across the Goodyear blimp that Sarah Palin has chosen to trumpet the words of journalist Westbrook Pegler, a man deemed to be too much of a right wing, anti-Semitic whacko even for the John Birch society, which ousted him in 1964 for his views. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westbrook_Pegler) I wait with anticipation and more than a little trepidation to see if she might trot out any of his other famous quotes, perhaps the one made during the height of the civil rights movement where he stated that it is ???clearly the bounden duty of al intelligent Americans to proclaim and practice bigotry.???
If McCain would have us dissect and read between the metaphorical lines of Obama???s ???lipstick on a pig??? comment, then what are we to take away from a vice presidential candidate who quotes a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi racist, a man who opposed the implementation of Brown vs. Board of Education such as Westbook Pegler?
I find terrifying the notion that this inept woman and this entire McCain camp, who find nothing wrong with celebrating the words of an odious human being, could be leading this country. As charmed as half the nation seems to be by Sarah Palin, it???s time they stopped looking at her and started listening carefully, very carefully to what she is actually saying.

Please do not put Sarah Palins face on your cover again. I got so sick looking at it I could screem. Half of your mag was full of her and I think thats too much. There are some of us that do not like her and never will. So please stay away from her picture and do not comment so much on her as she cant comment for herself. I used to love your mag but not lately.

Surprise VP pick, that's an understatement! Of all the Republican's in our govenment John McCain came up with Sarah Palin cledarly only to get himself elected. What surprises me to no end is how the masses of people could be so fooled. I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

    * If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different."

    * Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.

    * If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

    * Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

    * Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

    * Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

    * If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

    * If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

    * If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

    * If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress, you're a Christian.

    * If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.* If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very responsible.

    * If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's.

    * If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

    OK, much clearer now!!!

There were 600 other heros who were captured in the same POW camp.

Comment: Bush Sr. had the S&L deregulations which led to the buy-outs. Now Bush Jr. is buying out everything around. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have been here before. When will republicans stand up to their own party.

I would just like to say, as a white middle class woman, I am offended at the way Sarah Palin has duped and manipulated the American people into believing that she stands for everything she is very obviously not...shame on the media for not telling the whole story and exposing her for the phony that she really is. The America that I fought for in the Army during Desert Storm does not deserve such a vindictive and clearly unqualified person (notice I didn't say woman) for the second highest office in my cherished country.

Palin has disgraced her entire family with all her lies. It's sad.

By the way, Biden has an excellent family: Very happy and stable: Dispite the enormous tragedy they have had in their past.

Well, here is some information on Obama's tax cuts for the middle class. And the tax code will not be thousands of pages long with Obama.
