Why is the MSM in the US so afraid of exposing McCain of what he is?
What happened between McCain and his first wife:

Many , many marriages failed after men were gone 5 years in WWII and then Vietnam. McCain came home a stranger and a different person. It is not at all surprising his marriage failed. He is on good terms with his first wife and has been married to Cindy happily for 25 years and is a great father to all the kids.. Stop looking for sinister things under the bed. This is what happens in life.

Gepetto McCain has made a wooden decoy called Pinocchio S. Palin to deceive the voters and the Press AWAY from the issues that matter us in this terrible situation to which Bush has led the nation into. We are laughing stock of international observers. Which world leader would trust them were they to really become elected and represent us? Palin is deluded and in serious need of help, if not of restraint, for she IS capable of causing damage, due to her obsessions, as she did to the chief of troopers as soon as she became governor. If she really "knows' which tasks are "of God" and which are not, then she should be running even for Higher Office, as a minimum, Pope.

What's there to debate on that topic...i have seen a copy of the bill and it clearly allows for sex education to be taught in grades K-12. Obama supported it. he has also stated on national TV during the primaries that he supports the reading of gay fairy tales to second graders.

As far as not calling Palin a pig....if McCain was to say he saw a lot of "monkey see monkey do" in the Obama's campaign as of late...would you also take the position he wasn't calling Obama a monkey? As far as real journalism ...Newsweek has become a joke.

I believe the whole newsmedia has become a joke the way that they are as someone said cheerleading Nobama. Has someone managed to BUY the press?

What I do not understand is people with such a closed mind that can't listen to the truth about there candidate! If a report comes out negitive for there candidate they wont even bother to check the facts for themselves. Instead they post bashing the reporters, media and anyone else who tries to tell them they should think for themselves. I admit that a couple of Obama's commercials has takin McCains comments out of context but almost everyone of McCains commercials and speech's has very little truth to them. I am so sick of the negatives and the lying! As of right now I will vote for Obama, but if he starts the negitve campaining and lies like McCain has I will vote for a third party candidate. Everybody keeps telling hime to fight back, but I beleive the McCain/Palin campain will destroy themselves if Obama stays on track with the truth!

PFflyerkid you a sleaze, You know darn well the bill had nothing to do with teaching sex ed to kids. That is a complete and utter sdistortion of reality. After the last 8 years your lies shouldn't supprise me anymore, but I still find it shocking how little regard you guy's have for the truth.

I think you have the wrong guy...Iwas responding to other post. Here was my response and I agree w/ you!

Comment: You're suffering from a bad case of spin bias and vaguely hearing the whole story. As someone already noted, Obama's goal had everything to do w/ teaching young children how to be aware of sexual predators and NOT anything to do w/ sex ed. My kid is 5 and I've told her to scream her lungs out and say "I don't know this person" if anyone grabs her. It's a decent world but there are creeps everywhere.

Fox news reported today that Senator Obama met with Pamela Anderson and discussed her nomination as Secretary of Education. She is said to be interested.

Johnathan, how dumb of the McCain camp to literal steal the "change" slogan! With all the Palin lies and false television ads by McCain showing up in newspapers all across this nation. American sitting at their dinner tables will have a lot more to talk about besides "pigs and lip stick".
Keep up the good work.... Kyle Keleher 27 Daytona Beach,FL

This is of course a joke, right ? This bozo says"Rather than debating whether Barack Obama voted to teach sex education to kindergartners (he didn't) or called Sarah Palin a pig (he didn't),"

The truth? He did and he did. You can lie all you want. But facts are stubborn things.

    • Posted By: PFflyerkid @ 09/13/2008 7:59:36 PM

You're wrong on both counts. The sex ed comment consisted of making kids aware of inappropriate touching by creepy reletives or anyone else that invades a kids space. Palin a pig? Please post your reference. You can't! He was talking about McCain continuing Bush's failed policies. At that point in his speech he had not even mentioned her name. Wow is me...I think he called someone on my ticket a pig. Even the spin machine was met w/ a brick wall from the main stream media. And if Obama did indeed intend to reference Palin- well, then checkmate! since you suckers REACTED EXACTLY AS OBAMA THOUGHT, put on his next move and shut you down (by letting the MSM do his work for him).

Palin's lies are coming to an end. When Americans start to fully realize the scope of how far the McCain camp will go to win, there will be lots to talk about at the dinner table. KyleKeleher DaytonaBeach,FL

Without knowing who they are, I would say the 5 out of 6 slimy Senators who would smear McCain but hide behind anonymity are the ultimate cowards and their word certainly isn???t worth a damn. As for Mr. Alter, slimy is way too nice a word. You have NO honor, nor a whit of integrity. Pardon while I go wash myself after reading this filth.

Your comment about maverick is apt. I have always said I agree McCain is a maverick. Palin might be too. That raises problems about their ability to lead. Because the ethos of mavericks is anti-followership and an inability to work as a team. Never mind not being leaders. Since when has McCain been successfully leading a reform directed at changing anything that was significant. Or leading something successfully "bi-partisanly"?

Look up maverick, these are people who walk their own path, but not necessarily the right path or one that others would look to follow. And, his temperament, his bellicosity and his tendancy to exaggerate and indeed lie. Well, not good traits for the leader of the free world.

Brilliant. Great to see this. It is what the media should be doing. Uncovering the truth. Independently. and I would say not with "balance" as some would ask - which is giving equal time and comment and benefit of the doubt. But rather with honest consideration and fair judgment based on available information. Again, great work.

Obama is not taking away your tax cuts unless you are a millionaire. I doubt you are, or you wouldn't be worried. Read more!

Good for you, Jonathan. I am a Viet-Nam veteran who was simply appalled at what Bush's mud slingers did to John McCain in the 2000 primary and to John Kerry in the 2004 Presidential election. Mow McCain has gone out and hired the whole gang. They are the same people who slimed and told lies about him and his wife Cindy. Now they are doing the same to Senator Obama. John McCain has driven his Straight Talk Express into the gutter, and has lost his integrity- and honor. Thanks for calling the McCain/Palin out for their lies. The media remained silent the last time and let Bush lie his way into another term. Not this time.

I just hope that those Republicans who secretly fear a McCain Presidency will also secretly vote for McCain. Listen...the man was a reckless individual his whole life. Just ask his father. Perhaps his recklessness got him captured in Vietnam. Has anyone looked into that? He must have been damaged "mentally" by his ordeal as a POW. Perhaps a thorough psychiatric evaluation is in order. As far as Palin goes. Her bubble will burst soon. Especially when people find out she was nowhere to be found as governor over 300 days off the year. "Where's Sarah" was the common question since she has been in office.

John McCain Justified voting against a holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. in 1983 by saying he was unaware of his work. If this is true he is perhaps more out of touch with this country than anyone I have ever met. Either way it shows pretty rotten judgement.

  • Posted By: reader2013 @ 09/13/2008 6:58:27 PM

Between the reports of John McCain's temper and temperament, his rash and irrational choice of the most unknown Republican woman he could find in government, and his and Palin's willingness to lie, repeatedly, in their campaign efforts--I can't understand what people see in the McCain-Palin ticket. I am afraid for my country. Even though, logic compels me to believe Obama will win this election on the merits. Running this country, given America's standing, and faltering position, in the world, is no easy job. Surely he is the most diplomatic, skilled and temperamentally qualified.

I believe media elits have gone out of their ways to openly suport Obama. Headlines after headlines almost all started with "obama " .... It is like he is running by himself, and he is sooo perfect in articles that depicted him.
This obvious favorning of Obama by the press, has turned many Americans against Obama. I started out wanting to be a volunteer for Obama, but along the way, I see that he may be great at Harvard Law, but not a good choice as the commander of our nation.

McCain will keep the nightmare of the last 8 years alive all Bush all the time. He lives off of a myth about his independence but McCain is no maverick, no straight talker He can run from Bush but he cannot hide!! So much for the myth of the Maverick, the clean-fighting War Hero. McCain is up to his eyeballs in the muck that is being flung about by his Karl Rove handlers. And to top it all off he has now picked a woman to do his dirtiest fighting for him. What heroic behavior!! Furthermore, rather than choose the best qualified VP candidate, McCain chose to mobilize the hard right wing of the Republican Party and they are coming out in droves -you know- the Ralph Reed, Phyllis Shlafley, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly crowd. They were the power behind Bush and now with Palin they will be the power behind McCain all carefully orchestrated by the Karl Rove band of dirty tricksters. When people are losing their jobs, their homes, and soldiers are losing their lives McCain has turned to extremist social issues. Why are we talking about Roe v. Wade again instead of the economy? Why has religious fundamentalism reared its ugly head again instead of a debate about energy or foreign policy? The McCain of 2000 is dead, meet the McCain of 2008, former war hero who now hides behind the skirts of PitBull Palin ! For McCain Maverick has become just another marketing tag without substance.

What is really sad is that some people will only see these ads with false information. It reminds me of a time not so long ago -
