I just know this must be some kind of joke. I just don't think I find it very funny.

    Pallisor,

Nobody ever could claim previous experience for the job of President. What we need to look for is somebody who seems to be able to grow in the job. Palin is not one. Obama is.

    • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/14/2008 9:37:46 PM

So you think, and though I respect your opinion, I disagree. Obama has shown me nothing, either by experience or attitude that will make him a great leader.

I agree, looking at the Russian coast doesn't count, but Obama has met several foreign dignitaries, nothing more. Same difference in my book. In the end, I believe McCain will do a better job.

      • Posted By: avg joe25 @ 09/15/2008 1:20:08 PM

and what foreign experience does McCain have?

        • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/16/2008 9:08:30 PM

As much if not more than Obama has.

More delusional schlock from Omarr.... Your turban's on too tight! : )

        • Posted By: vstillwell @ 09/16/2008 5:22:27 PM

Way to go Pallisor. Start calling people names. So by inferring that he or she wears a turbin because his or her id is Omarr, would that be sexist or racist? Actually I know a guy from Lebanon. His name is Omar and he's white as white gets, he's a christian, and he doesn't wear a turbin. I think you're the twit Pallisor.

          • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/16/2008 9:02:43 PM

What, no admonition for Omarr for calling the poster a LIAR for something he knows nothing about? And this is nothing compared to what Omarr has called me and others in the past, simply because we disagree with him.

I guess you must have missed all those lovely posts! BTW, you weren't asked for your opinion.

LOL !! McCain's new ad steals Obama saying"Enough" .. weak McCain cant even come up w/ his own ideas... First the "change" theme & now the "Enough" saying..

Enough ! w/ the theft........ i thought he was the reformer?

      glimps -

Why do many of the obamabots regularly post their rants more than once on the same discussion board?

Are they so insecure in their opinion that they think (no, change that word to feel) that if they post the same rant more than once, it will somehow magically gain more validity and importance?

Do you have any rational reason for posting your 2 identical blogs within less than a 30 second interval?

Are you demonstrating that the attention span of an obamabot is severely limited?

      • Posted By: glimps @ 09/16/2008 8:06:29 PM

        Davole,

i post it more then once because i know that a Rebplican will respond at some point w/ nothing to say or point out only one aspect of the post/ or come up w/ their own rant to post of course.... i.e. ( what you did)..

'WHERE THE BARS ARE OPEN TILL 5 A.M."

This caption caught my attention because it reminds me of pictures of Palin's daughter and in ALL of them she is drinking or pouring drinks, now this under aged girl appears to have a issue with alcohol. I wonder if this maybe some type of problem within the Palin family. It seems to me this young girl needs help, at least her mom's attention. OK. She made a mistake getting pregnant, but add that to these pictures and Palin's insistence of the bars staying open ALL night.

Someone needs to see about that girl Bristol, she needs not get lost in all of this. Palin is out campaigning where is Bristol and who is there for her at this time when she needs her mom support and guidance. I think she has been allowed to do as she pleases without much guidance and I say that NOT just because she is pregnant, but the pictures tell it all. And no I am not one of those outdated women that think a womans play is at home, BUT I am a mother that thinks a mother should be there for her children's needs whether you work or not! This girl is still very much a child even if she lives an adult lifestyle!

      Bernice123 -

Do you have any facts to prove your assertion that Sarah Palin insists that the bars stay open all night?
Aren't bar hours regulated locally by a town council, instead of the governor?

Also, since you profess to be a mother, I am surprised to see your comment that "a womans play is at home" - did you mean to say a woman's place is at home? Slight difference!

But do ensure that you are there for your children's needs!

Palin was against the bridge to Nowhere. After she was for it. She took the money, as all politicians do.

Education and experience are only tools. By themselves, they are irrelevant. What is important to me is how people use their education and experiences and what they have accomplished. When judged by these standards Obama falls way short of McCain, or even Palin for that matter.

Barack Obama is woefully inexperienced for the job of POTUS and has some serious judgement and credibility issues as well stemming from the Ayers, Wright, and Rezco relationships. He has shown us precious little in the way of legislative accomplishments and has no apparent executive or management experience at any level. He is relying on Joe Biden's legislative and foreign affairs experience to carry him. Additionally, he has changed his position on all the major issues and sometimes more than once. I am fazed trying to figure out where he really stands on anything.

John McCain has both extensive foreign affairs and legislative accomplishments that qualify him for the job. Only partisan fools don't recognize or admit that he has a much different style and philosophy than Bush. Palin, while weak on foreign affairs, has more legislative accomplishments and executive experience to her credit than Obama does and we seem to be forgetting that she is running for the second seat, not the first. Her forte is energy and energy is the single key component to our security and economic problems.

I am a life long Democrat who has never voted Republican in a presidential election before now and I detest the way Bush and his cronies have screwed up Iraq and the economy, but this one is a no-brainer. Obama is not the guy to lead us out of this.

Palin loves to extoll on the wonderful Alaskan lifestyle.

Alaska, which has among the highest per capita incidence of rape, incest, teenage unwed pregnancy, and alcoholism in the country. So I guess a common way for an Alaskan man to unwind on the weekend is to slaughter a bunch of innocent animals with a semi-automatic rifle, then go home, get drunk, and rape his sister or daughter. Yep, gotta love those "traditional American values". Yee Haw!

"sparkling" wrote: "I know the real reason why every single elitist media type is terrified of her. They've never met her. And by "her," I don't mean Sarah Palin. I mean "her", an actual normal woman with a bunch of kids, an average husband and no desire to watch "The L Word."

Gee, "sparkling," I'm sure Sarah is a perfectly nice mom and Walmart shopper and even a good mayor of a town of 5000--maybe even an okay governor of a wildwest, remote state of less than a million. So fine--re-elect her mayor of Wasilla or governor of Alaska. In the meantime, most Americans with any sense aren't wishing for President Andy of Mayberry. We want a president who is actually smarter than we are (after eight long years of just the opposite). We want a president (and vicepresident) who is a true intellectual with a first class education, who has meaningful experience and background on a national and international level, and who won't be caught like a deer in the headlights when they take office on an international stage. Arguably, Sen. McCain meets those criteria. Unfortunately, his choice of Palin as a runningmate for purely political and tactical reasons, and NOT because she possesses those credentials, especially with his age and suspect health condition, disqualifies the Republican ticket in my book . . . and I am no Obama supporter. Is there any way we can have a "do-over" of the primaries?

      Right...

      Mccain could've chosen ....

      1. Condoleeza Rice [R]

      2. Kay Hutchenson [R]

      3. Elizabeth [Ugh] Dole [R]

They have National & International Experience...

      Not Sarah Palin...Facts or Facts

But Barely anything like that exists in Wasilla.

You certainly can have a great time swigging beer in two bars that are allowed to stay open until 5 a.m. It was Mayor Palin who rejected attempts to make them close earlier.

(If Palin had completely had her way, in fact, you could have sidled up to the bar with a gun.) At the Mug-Shot Saloon, you can memorize the expletives on the collection of bumper stickers next to the well of bottles.

But once you leave, you might want to watch your back:

Alaska a State that is consistently in the top [10 of the Nation's Most Violent Per Capita]

Alaska also Leads the [Lower 48] in Rapes...[Domestic violence, men who Kill their Wives or Lovers and Child Abuse]

This is not a [Norman Rockwell Fantastical Illusional Painting]

The Alaskan Lifestyle, if you choose to call it that ? Is Mountainous, Very, Very Rural an Very, Very, Frontiersmen, Wide open, No Rules that can't be Broken or Bent World !! Its like these People think, they are their own [Country, Apart form the USA]

Now you can see, why the [AIP: Alaskan Independence Party Exist] and why Todd Palin was a [7 Yr Member] who still registers Independent.

The AIP are the 3rd largest Political Paty in Alaska...Think about that...hmmmm

Imagine the Wild Open west of Yesterday and you have [Alaska]

Wasilla has among the [Highest Per Capita Violent- and Property-Crime Rates in Alaska]

A question I have is why Hillary is not more actively involved in the campaign, especially as a counter to Palin? She and Biden working together would do a great job exposing Palin for what she is, a former hick-town mayor and governor of a small state (tiny Hawaii has twice as many people as Alaska) with a large redneck constituency. Is Obama not letting HRC get involved? (big mistake) Or is it Hillary being lukewarm because she wants Obama to fail (unforgiveable mistake)?

The Obama Campaign Sinks to a New Low in Decency

The Obama campaign, as it continues to flounder and sink in the polls, has descended to a new low, even for itself.

Recently it has launched a new TV ad in which a mocking narrator alleges that John McCain is so out of touch with the current generation because of his inability to use a computer.

The narrator does not admit that the reason John McCain doesn???t use a computer is because 5 and a half years of torture as a POW in the Vietnam war cause him to experience severe pain by attempting to do many of the day to day menial tasks which most of the American population take for granted.

Obviously the Obama campaign does not demonstrate any appreciation and respect for the veteran and current members of the US military!

The obamabot ship is sinking, and the crew are sure grasping at straws in their pitiful attempt to deceive the voting public. Yes, Obama approved that deceitful ad - it is consistent with his decrepit morally corrupt standards.

Obviously that empty suit has no heart, courage, sincerity, honour, and respect!

Do you expect a presidential candidate to be truthful in striving to win the election?
If so, Obama just doesn???t ???measure up??? in that consideration!

Obama is an unscrupulous do-anything community agitator who has revealed his true previously hidden self!

On November 4, you, the legal American voting public, have the opportunity and ability to cast Obama back to that slag heap of Chicago manipulators who permeate the slum areas of that city.

Wow, two sentences dedicated to Colleen Cottles who gave favorable mentioned to Mrs. Palin's Mayoral abilities and five paragraphs on Leroi Heavens' unfavorable views as the historical society' president. Nice reporting. Very unbiased and unopinionated. NOT!

If that was the case, why didn't "minorities" "steal" it in 2000 or 2004? I guess they were not in power like they are now, right????

I have visited Wasilia and it is wonderful community with wonderful people. The one thing about Wasilia is that yes - in January - it can very dark days with very little sunlight. But to knock such a small wonderful American community, Amanda Cone is showing she does not understand America. Amanda - I know you don't understand Alaska and your article failed to write about the wonderful people. You're a bad blogger.

John McCain announced that he was running for president to confront the "transcendent challenge" of the 21st century, "radical Islamic extremism," contrasting it with "stability, tolerance and democracy." But the values of his handpicked running mate, Sarah Palin, more resemble those of Muslim fundamentalists than they do those of the Founding Fathers. On censorship, the teaching of creationism in schools, reproductive rights, attributing government policy to God's will and climate change, Palin agrees with Hamas and Saudi Arabia rather than supporting tolerance and democratic precepts. What is the difference between Palin and a Muslim fundamentalist? Lipstick.
