CAMPAIGN 2008

From Seneca Falls to … Sarah Palin?

Odd, yes, but there we are. Still, history suggests issues of policy will ultimately trump the politics of identity.

Too much fake , emotional effect on media-report nowadays. We are confused by so many love\hate comment on any political figure. We have to hear, or read the political-men \women in his\ her own words to know what was going on. We think the bad-mouth media and talk-joke show had killed the Palin-character for their own profit
Michell _Barack Obama did not have long ???tract of political career, why people gave them a better rating than Palin???
Every body know that he was raised as (1) a muslim kid until 10-14 year-old (2) he stayed in a church with Oprah Winfrey where they had Anti-American Sermons in 20 years without leaving them (3) many many more things to prove that couple Barack-Mitchell do-not love this country but people still vote for them ??

I agree, Sarah Palin is a great CONSERVATIVE!!! It is funny that the LIBERAL media reports that she hurt McCain's campaign. It is the LIBERALS that don't like her and say that she hurt McCain's campaign - what they don't like is that she was an ASSET for McCain. McCain would have lost by a greater margin had he picked a running mate that is a moderate like himself. CONSERVATISM wins! Look at the proposals that passed accross the country and you will see. We need more SARAH PALINs out there and I couldn't be prouder to be a hockey mom and associate myself with her!

Sarah Palin is a great lady, role model, and wonderful human being who was unfairly subjected to more scrutiny and hate than any of the other candidates. Unfortunately, although he is a great American, McCain was not the ideal presidential candidate otherwise he would have been a front runner many years ago and before he was 72 years of age. Obama with the help of the liberal media that protected and shielded him, and with an endless amount of money, deceived many and bought the election. But, it had little to do with his race except for a minority of those who ignored his past, became enchanted and found comfort with his hollow but luring southern preacher like speak, and voted for him because of his race. But, he is still the president elect and we patriotic and loving Americans will honor that regardless.

Dear concerned. I'm a middle aged white woman living in Indiana and NOTHING about Sarah Palin represents anything about me except that we both have a uterus. Please. Obama had my vote because he's an thoughtful, articulate man of ovious intelligence. He represents what I think. Thank goodness whiet and black americans came together to elect this transformational leader and banish Caribou Barbie.

I still believe Obama only won because of the color of his skin and the fear of riots and threat from other idiots. Sarah Palin does represent most american women and I think some women are affraid of her the same as Hillary Clinton. I think some people were to judgemental and she was put in the spot light more than anyone else, I feel obama will win but not for the right reasons.......

Although there is no membership proof I do believe that she belongs to the Alaskan Indepence Party in ideology. And although I don't believe it will ever be admitted to I believe she is an extremist because she does share their view. She does not represent most american women. She certainly is not someone I look up to. In fact, it is of great concern to me if McCain were to win and she therefore vice president of the U.S. Although I don't say she is a dumb person she certainly is not intelligent and you can get that just from how she speaks. The only new voters she is bringing to the republican party are men for obvious reasons which I think is just ridiculous. However, Obama will prevail because he is the change in direction and the voice of reason that this country so needs.

Every bit of your drivil is unsubstantiated BS. There is no credible proof anywhere that Palin is or has ever been a member of the AIP. Troopergate? Monegon served Palin's office at her pleasure, and she had every right to fire the idiot who wouldn't fire Trooper Wooten for tasering a 10 year old child. Wooten had also been found guilty of DUI.... great example! That alone would have gotten him fired at any police department in the US.

Of course you, along with the so-called, biased panel, think it's fine for a officer of the law to taser a child and drive drunk.

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it.
    Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
    Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .
And remember, The plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.
Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Change your mind. Change your vote. Change yourself. Yes, you can.

Differences in the 2 Candidates Approaches Toward Solving the Financial Crisis:

    John McCain
    - Intuitively ready to lead!
    - I will postpone for the balance of the week my political campaign in order to participate in helping to solve the national financial crisis by investigating the proposals, and then accepting, rejecting, or modifying them.

    Barack Obama
    - Bewildered as to whether and how to respond!
    - Why isn???t this darn teleprompter working?
    - What - you expect me to actually make a decision? Can???t I just say ???Present????
    - Bill Ayers is providing my talking points - I hope they don???t ???bomb???.
    - Come on mainstream media - cover for me!
    - Oh ...err ... ah ... Did I tell you that I received an affirmative action (no, STRIKE THAT) law degree from Harvard?
    - How do you like my new empty suit?
David Axelrod thinks that it actually makes me look competent.
Barbara Streisand gave it to me.
    - Did I tell you that I, let???s just say, acquired some new lipstick to give to Michelle, my belle?
It should help her to look somewhat presentable, but nowhere near as good as that intelligent capable hot babe - Sarah Palin.
    - I need a vacation - can I take another one now? I never did like America.
    - You???re just being racist by expecting me to help solve this financial crisis.
    - Let???s just CHANGE the subject, and HOPE that I can look competent next time!

Sarah Palin is a puppet on John McCain's string. She's an embarrassment to women who know how to handle themselves during a media interview on both the national and world stage. Palin can't compete with women like Margaret Thatcher, Madeline Albright, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi and many more who know how to deal on the "big boys" court without compromising their integrity. I'd have more respect for Palin if she was honest and said "I don't know" instead of creating lies and half truths. Palin is a Republican "puppy" on a short , controlled leash. She's hiding the "Troopergate" lies and her abuse of power. McCain and the Republican lawyers covering up for her. Scripted interviews and photo-ops prove that she doesn't now how to talk to people or answer tough questions, another coverup to keep a false image. Bottom line: Palin is a dizzy broad and the Republicans can sure have her cause real women want nothing to do with her. She's a setback to women of courage and honor. She overshadows and outshines McCain at every event, instead of being in a supportive VP role indicating power struggles between them down the road. Wake up!

AMEN! For Newsweek to assert that Palin is what we want is to offend the intelligence of women in this country. Palin's conservatism makes McCain seem liberal. More of the same with lipstick is still more of the same!

Palin and Women Voters??? Today I learned that she ignored the policy in Alaska that women have to pay for their OWN RAPE KIT!!! This is outrageous!!! If you are a woman you should be outraged about this. Palin boasts about how she cleaned up Alaska - but did not do ONE THING FOR THE WOMEN OF ALASKA. i HAVE LEARNED THAT ALASKAN WOMEN 1 in 3 will be rapped in her lifetime. This is SERIOUS LADIES. Palin as Mayor had to power to fight with her Police Commissioner about his neglect to keep that policy in effect. Instead she BUILT A HOCKEY RINK as her legacy and left the town in debt - SHE DID NOT DO ONE THING TO HELP THE ABUSED WOMEN OF ALASKA!!!! The money (the millions) used to build a hockey rink could and should have been used to do something about the violence against women in Alaska. This makes me mad.
When she became Govenor, now she has no excuse - there are millions of dollars at her disposal to HELP THE WOMEN OF ALASKA - what does she do??? She CLEANS up corrupt officials - and sets in her own mob - then she uses her power to go after her brother-in-law, this is now known as TROOPERGATE - WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!! She used her power to not lift one finger to help the vause of the women in Alaska - SHE DID NOTHING TO FUND A PROGRAM TO HELP STEM THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN ALASKA!!!! And the town of which she was Mayor is not the only town wherein a woman must pay for her own RAPE KIT. As Govenor Palin had the power to do good by the women of Alaska - and she did not - in fact WOMEN IN ALASKA, HER OWN "SISTERS" WERE IGNORED BY HER. God Help us, if you are a WOMAN (or man who has ever had to deal with violence against your sister, mother, or just a good friend, personally) then you know what I am talking about here - MY GOD - GET SOME DECENCY AND SENSE AND SEE WHO SARAH PALIN REALLY IS. GOD HELP US.

Your rant is typical obamabot propaganda - NOT TRUE!

The Alaska state government charges the insurance companies for the cost of the Rape Kit - search the internet for verification of that fact!

Obviously Sarah Palin has the obamabots in a state of panic!

Sarah Palin: A Woman in Power, A Hindrance to Women's Empowerment

As the whole world appears to be dragged down by the plummeting US economy, women of the global South are likely to share the multiple burdens experienced by their US sisters especially those of colour, lower income strata, ethnic minorities and immigrant communities.

The gloomy economic forecast means that women would have to work harder as they are evicted from their homes and as their family members and themselves are being laid off. The posterity of the Republican lineage at the White House is bound to aggravate the situation for this means a continuing enforcement of the Partial Abortion Ban and the denial of federal funds for reproductive health services even for women and girls who survived rape and incest. And for women and LGBTs of the global South, the continuation of the Global Gag Rule --- increasing maternal mortality, orphaned children, HIV-AIDS cases or simply, another long episode of denial and violation of human rights and civil liberties.

The choice of Sarah Palin as vice presidential candidate of the Republican party poses an acute threat to women who have been struggling to assert their reproductive rights and who are eager to see the end of an administration which have sparked various forms of fundamentalisms. Much of these have encroached on our national sovereignties, economic sustainability, cultural production, natural environment and human rights, especially the control over our own bodies and sexualities.

What makes Palin's campaign more precarious is that her pro-life pronouncements are made in the name of feminism, capitalising on Hillary Clinton's crushed aspirations of running initially as presidential and later, vice-presidential candidate of the Democrats.

Albeit much remains to be desired in the propositions of Barack Obama on reproductive rights, a significant change on pronouncements and ultimately policy is in order. At the moment, the Democratic line is the only way for reproductive justice to be articulated at the White House and potentially put an end to the Global Gag Rule.

Sarah Palin is not worthy of my vote. She intellectually bankrupt as her assumption that since she can see Russia from her window somehow gives her some foreign policy experience. The dumbing down of American politics is pitiful. She may be fine for Alaska but she is not qualified to be VP of the United States. Her running mate is old and possibly senile based on what he is exhibiting on the campaign trail. And republicans call democrats crazy. Senility and cluelessniess what a combination. I pray for us all. Oh by the way Hillary rocks on and no way would I would vote for Palin. Some of Hillary's supporters may have lost their minds, but the marjority of us are on track propelling Barack Obama into the oval office.
