I agree Obama Made a huge mistake by not picking Hiliary, she'd have been a better pick on many levels and Palin (if she'd been a choice) would have been a non issue.

I wholeheartedly agree, newsandnotes. But, like when asked at the RNC why there wasn't one, single solitary Bush pin, ribbon or label, the Repubs said, "We don't wanna rehash that. We're moving forward and we're gonna bring about change............................with a 76 year old time lifetime politician."

It shoulda been Hillary, 100%.

The DNC and party elites pushed Obama over the top. Obama ignored Hillary and picked a boring Washington insider for his VP. McCain capitalized on Obama's error in judgement, and rather than picking an old bore like Obama did, he spiced up his campaign. Palin doesn't have the experience, credibility, or fortitude that Hillary has. However, McCain's choice was strategic brilliance.
Every time we see Palin, it reminds us that Obama made a mistake by not picking Hillary. Every time we see Biden, it reminds us that Obama made a mistake by not picking Hillary. If Obama loses, it will be his own fault.
Had Hillary gotten the nomination OR been on the ticket, the Democrats would be up by double digits in the polls, the Democratic party would have been energized, and the nominee would win in November with at least 350 electoral votes. FL,OH,PA,MI all would go blue.
Now, we have constant reminders that Hillary should be on the ticket. What a mess!

???Ever since I took the chief executive???s job up North I pushed for more funding for students with special needs,??? says Palin in this video, and then cited her own family???s experience with the issue.


It???s a stretch to say she ???pushed??? for any policy improvements. Though Palin did sign a law increasing special education funding in Alaska, ???she had no role whatsoever??? in its development, according to the bill???s author, Rep. Mike Hawker (R). Moreover, as governor, Palin vetoed $275,000 in Special Olympics Alaska funds (Page 100, SB 221 with vetoes), slashing the organization???s operating budget in half.
It's hard to match the lying hypocrisy of the Bush/Cheney team, but Palin/McCain have done it. Add this to the list.

With new evidence of e-mails coming from Sarah Palins administration and McCain saying that the economy is still fundamentally sound, we will see a shift in the polls. Especially since the Repubs rely on the market and the Dems rely on gov't intervention.
