Women who vote for Palin because she is a woman have got to get their heads examined. She is a radical right person with nooooo national or international experience. We are living in a dangerous world which requires the knowledge and intelligence to deal with a myriad of problems and deal with very difficult leaders in the world. She didn't even know what the Bush Doctrine was which is the whole basis of Bush's failed foreign policies. She is a scary and ill prepared person who DOES NOT BELONG ON THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STAGE !!!!!!

Do you think American women are THAT stupid? It's the hype! I am a mother of 2 and Palin's presence disgusts me big time. If Mccain were to pick someone else I would vote for him. Aftre all, he is more experienced. By picking Palin, he might get a bump in the poll but that's as good as it gets for the Republicans. But it also shows his poor judgement. He is 72 and a cancer survivor. By picking Palin he is telling America that this amature will be our next presiden if he can't make it thru his term. He needs to send Palin packing NOW. He just lost a vote from a woman (me) because of Plain, oh sorry, Palin. Also check out this website "www.womenagainstpalin.com" . We want the right to choose, not to be brought back to the Dark Age when Bible was the only textbook, and a woman could not make her own decision to terminate a pregnancy if she got knocked up by her own brother or father.... Palin is a disgrace to women, to mothers and to career women around the nation. She would not get my vote.

LORIW- Obama/Biden are pro-choice, not pro-abortion. You conservatives aways find ways to distort the truth. Factcheck (a nonpartisan group that check facts on election campagin ads) found that the Mccain campaign run false ads agains Obama 80% of the time vs Obama's 20%, prompting another article in Washington Post to urge Obama "to stretch the truth as much as the Mccain campaign" to fight back..

Vote Palin and McCain in Nov. 08!

    • Posted By: OldPlusNew @ 09/15/2008 2:38:50 AM

Apparently, that's what the ticket is. I am only hoping that McCain picked Palin with having zero intention of letting the woman get near any of the important issues. I can live with a McCain / Politcal Tool administration. A Palin-McCain administration scares the living hell out of me.

I was in church today talking to some of the congregation and we were talking about politics. The church had a voter registration in the main hall where many were actually changing their party preference to republican from democrat. I truly think people are tired of the liberal movement and are convinced that the Palin/McCain ticket is the way to go, especially with the Evangelicals. The Pastor encouraged everyone to vote and take a stand for the country. In God we trust. Did anyone notice how the Democrats and Obama especially does not refer to God in his speeches or at the convention. He calls himself a Christian yet he is afraid to offend or utter the word God?

    • Posted By: OldPlusNew @ 09/15/2008 2:28:09 AM

Here's some transcripts from his recent speeches:

Barack Obama, Sept. 12th, Concored, NH - "...and if you're stand with me, and work with me, for just two more months, then I promise you we'll win New Hampshire, we'll win the general election, and you and I together are going to change the country and change the world. Thank you, everybody. GOD BLESS YOU."

Barack Obama, Sept. 09, Dayton, OH - "Not only will our children be able to live up to their GOD given potential..." From same speech, "Thank you very much, everybody. GOD bless you. Thank you."

In fact, I can't remember the last time he has given a speech where he HASN'T referrenced God in the speech. Please do not make stupid, baseless claims just to stir trouble. At least come with something factual.

People on here are saying Palin does not have enough experience to be V.P.!! Obama is running for President and has no experience! Lets think about it Obama needs no experience to be president but Palin needs experience to be V.P. So let;s not vote for either of these 2 candidates! Vote McCain!!!

    • Posted By: the_shelton @ 09/15/2008 12:00:04 AM

Obama has more experience than Abraham Lincoln did, now what do you say? As far as McCain, being in a hole for six years don't make you a war hero, it makes you a victim. Sorry, no sympathy here.

JOHN S. MCCAIN: A Commander Ready To Lead

In the Spring of 1975, John S. McCain was promoted from 2nd in Command and then on to Commanding Officer (CO). As Commanding Officer, John McCain led the largest squadron in the United States Navy Air Squadron, a massive Unit at Cecil Field in Jacksonville FLA.

McCain was responsible for running a squadron made up of 1,000 personnel and a fleet of 75 jets - which is equivalent to being a CEO of a small corporation. His squadrons mission there at Cecil Field was to get pilots trained and to maintain attack jets called A7s.

At Cecil Field, there were always 10 - 12 aircrafts in a pattern at any one time.
Cecil Field was a very active base, with operating hours from 7am one morning thru 2am or 3 am into the next morning.

A review of Navy records and interviews with more than a dozen of John McCains former colleagues paint a picture of a Commander who was lionized by his troops as a war hero and respected by aviators as being a fair and effective manager of his squadron; and he was fiercely loyal to those who worked for him.

        * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

As commanding officer (C.O.) McCain had ultimate authority over his Unit, and was given a wide latitude within the bounds of military law. In this role as CO, McCain had significant responsibilities, duties and powers as the leader of his squadron.

JOHN S. MCCAIN: A Commander Ready to Lead

        VIDEO: http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1185143625/bctid1761979374

McCain was revered by many on the base: Testimonials

Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:

John was a commander who did not attempt to tell people how to do jobs (no micro-management) . . . instead he picked PEOPLE HE HAD CONFIDENCE IN and INSPIRED them to rise to the highest level of their own ability.

Sharleen Hollenback, Navy enlistee under McCain:

        * He was a very ACCESSIBLE person
        * He was very KIND
        * He CARED ABOUT THE PEOPLE that worked in his Squadron
        * I very much ADMIRED him and felt like was part of something very important in that squadron.

Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:

John would talk to the Sr. chief and KID him, given him a hard time, saying things like ???what about your behavior chief?, what about your drinking?, huh, huh, huh???? . . .which would rock them back on their heels while the rest of the crew and shop WATCHED IN FASCINATION at how McCain was interacting with their chief petty officer.

That was part of his unorthodox HANDS-ON STYLE. John was not one to cloister himself away in his office on the 2nd floor of the Squadrons airplane hanger.

Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:

Instead, on a DAILY basis he would WALK THROUGH the maintenance spaces, all the functional shops on THE BASE. He would go though the engine shop, the hydraulic shop, the fuel shop, the weapons shop - every one of them. He would GO IN AND TALK TO ALL the folks in the shops.

Jim Lichtenwalter - fellow office, Cecil Field:

I just think that he did a great job of making himself understand what other peoples jobs were and what their responsibilities were. . .

In its heyday in the Vietnam era, Cecil Field was buzzing with THOUSANDS OF NAVY OFFICERS ENLISTEES, AND THEIR FAMILIES.

        J. B. Renninger, former Navy Pilot at Cecil Field:

You would have anywhere from 10 - 12 aircrafts in a pattern at any one time, doing touch and go???s
We would operate from 7am one morning thru 2am or 3 am into the NEXT morning. It was a very ACTIVE BASE then.

Cecil Field was John McCains last posting with the Naval Squadron, but one that would CARRY RELEVANCE today as HE LOOKS TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY.

the_shelton: Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States from 1861-1865. That was 147 years ago, I would hope Obama knew more than someone who was President that long ago! Anyone would! If we could bring Lincoln here in a time machine he would be lost in this day and age, much like Obama is now! The biggest difference is Lincoln was Elected President, Obama win loose!

The Women's Movement has always been about capturing rights for women; the rights that should accrue to all humans. The right to vote, own property, work outside the home, get an education, run for office; in other words, the right to have choices. Does this mean that women must prove that they can do everything in order to justify the fact that they have choices? Does this mean that it is unfair to ask the question "How is it possible for a woman, who has chosen to have five children, possible fulfill the commitment she and her husband made to them when they brought them into the world?"

Further, until being female and being asked what you know about relevant topics is not perceived as off-limits, women really aren't equal. Would we really consider a man with the limited credentials possessed by Gov. Palin as qualified for the position of VP?

    • Posted By: LynnPA @ 09/15/2008 2:19:58 AM

How many males with children, who were running for president or VP, were asked if they could do the job?
      THAT is the difference...
How many males were asked if they could bake blueberry muffins.... THAT is the difference...

LADIES, WE'LL HAVE OUR CHANCE ANOTHER DAY. IT'S JUST NOT NOW!! AND WHEN WE DO, IT WILL BE A WOMAN WHO WILL HAS IMPECCABLE EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY. SHE WILL MAKE US PROUD AS A GENDER.
    UNTIL THEN, VOTE - OBAMA/BIDEN '08!

My question is this: What happens when women elect the first female vice president of the United States, and she's a total disaster? Then what? You won't see a woman in the White House for another 100 - 150 years if that happens. All of the men in the United States will think, "No way, not another Palin."

On top of that, we know NOTHING about this woman (unlike Obama, who we've at least been able to see for 2 years on the campaign trail - we get 60 days with Palin, 60 DAYS!!), and what we do know about this woman is really really questionable. She is as extreme right as you get, which scares even moderate conservatives. She is pro-life (including rape and incest), pro-gun, believes the Earth was created 4000 years ago (I make church every Sunday, and even I'm calling that absurd), had no idea what her own party's presidential doctrine was, and has a very questionable foreign policy ideology. Mind you, I'm not talking about experience here, because you could ask Obama the same thing. However, her ideology of foreign relations is so Dick Cheney that it's really scary.

Don't vote for this woman... for the love of God, don't vote for her.

Women could actually set themselves back by electing the wrong candidate. Hillary was the right candidate, and she could very well run in 2016 (she'll be 68, which is STILL younger than John McCain by a good 4 years).

  • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 9:53:55 PM

Let's put this into perspective. One of the services that almost every American (with the exception of a few hardcore Libertarians, I suppose) agree that our government should provide is policing and investigation into crime, especially of a violent nature. Rape, one of the most difficult to prosecute, disproportionately affects women--young women, in fact. If Palin wants to play fierce mother hen in her stump speeches, I suggest she explain how it is that she wouldn't do everything in her mayoral power to make sure that rapists be caught and prosected.

    • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 09/14/2008 10:11:27 PM

Ask that of Biden, too!!!! he wasn't going to let ANY crime conntrol legislation opass until everyone agreed and accepted his silly gun control schemes! a key one was tried for TEN years and went away because IT DID NOTHING TO REDUCE CRIME!
A PREDICTABLE outcome...but biden had his head up his pig looking for lipstick! And Americans got hurt!
Bring back the re-runs of Willy horton! Biden is culpable in THAT mess, too!

      • Posted By: OldPlusNew @ 09/15/2008 1:41:50 AM

Seriously, happy, you should increase your education on the issues. Joe Biden has more pieces of legislation on his PDA of fighting for women's rights than Gov. Palin will ever have in her life! The man not only helped all of America by initiating the Joe Biden Crime Bill (later known as the Clinton crime Bill which put 100k more police officers on the beat), but he also initiated the Violence against Women act, which greatly reduced the amount of domestic violence occurances against women, and increased the punishment for such acts. You have got to be kidding me that just because there is a woman on the ticket of an ANTI-FEMININE RIGHTS PARTY, you'd vote for them. My favorite part in this article, however, is the woman who says, "Oh, I don't think Roe v. Wade will be in Jeporady if John McCain is in office." Umm... with John McCain, Justice Scelea, and Sarah Palin at the helm... it's in more jeporady than it has EVER been.

      • Posted By: the_shelton @ 09/15/2008 12:09:56 AM

I wished that you people would realize that McCain was the first to use the bad comment about the pig and lipstick. So every time you use it, you point out the goofiness of McCain, not Obama.

      • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 10:19:03 PM

Is that all you can come up with? My god you right wingers are getting desperate.

  • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/15/2008 12:50:02 AM

I use to have alot of respect for you lori, but you amaze me everyday. Have you looked at people loosing their jobs and what jobs are offering now. Jobs being shipped overseas. NAFTA and CAFTA taking good jobs from American people. When you have McCain tell our American pilots that they make too much money. Now they are getting furloughed. People do get jobs lori, it's just that the top executives love to make more money and it's the working class that doesn't get the respect they deserve.

    • Posted By: LynnPA @ 09/15/2008 1:14:11 AM

NAFTA is a Clinton Policy... I would have stayed away from that one... it hurts Dems not helps. (Now this is being fair and balanced... I am actually giving strategy feedback to the opposition).

      • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/15/2008 1:35:30 AM

Hey Lynn, you know so much......Please explain to me why did Sarah Palin as Mayor of Wasilla, want women who got raped to pay for their rape kit. Do you think she is out of touch because I feel she is. Even though Obama won't win this election because the people in Ohio said that race plays a big factor. I just have to let America know that they are in big trouble with McCain and Palin running the country.

      • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/15/2008 1:32:58 AM

You are right about that. The problem is, the Republicans want to keep it and Obama wants to tweek NAFTA and do away with CAFTA. McCain wants to keep NAFTA and CAFTA and the people in Ohio don't realize that their jobs are on the line.

  • Posted By: trazer @ 09/13/2008 7:28:17 PM

Let me see - Nancy Pelosi, who has a very very very low approval rating - something like 11% - has not had to endure this type of story by the bloggers. Ms. Pelosi has cost us so much MONEY by her obstinate and personal decision to not allow for safe drilling. Instead, we have a wonderful woman running for office and all the media can do is slam her. Its time to write some stories on Pelosi - uncovering her for what she is. A Democrat with a large family who never had to be subjeted by such abusive reporting.

    • Posted By: chrisphx66 @ 09/14/2008 4:28:42 AM

THAT'S A F*KING LIE AND YOU KNOW IT. IF SOMEONE SIMILAR TO PALIN WERE TO RUN ON THE DEM'S TICKET, YOU NAZIS WOULD BE TEARING THEM APART - OH, LOOK, SEE, THEY HAVE NO 'FAAAAMMMILY VALUES - SIEG HEIL!" SHE'S A SLUT, HER DAUGHTER'S A SLUT- A CASE OF THE APPLE NOT FALLING FAR FROM THE TREE APPARENTLY - AND YOU HAVE THE F*KING NERVE TO JUSTIFY HER TO US. GO MASTURBATE OR SOMETHING.

  • Posted By: sandysue @ 09/13/2008 8:47:39 PM

So, let me get this straight. The Republicans think that women are such sheep that we will give up the rights our foremothers fought for which in my mind is the right to use our good judgement when exercising our vote. This is one woman who is not impressed by the Republicans pandering strategy. I will vote for a woman, a black, a martian if need be, but only if I feel they are qualified. Sarah Palin is most definately not qualified, and to think she could be a 'heart-beat' away from the oval office scares me.

    • Posted By: lexi97701 @ 09/14/2008 10:31:14 AM

Thank you for thinking! We don't need just ANY woman! She is NOT a good choice for our first representative female! She will make us sorry! Her lying is already making a lot of people question her record, her abuse of power, book burning...did anyone actually watch the piece about her on CNN last night (9/13)? They admitted many of her lies and straightened the record out, LISTEN PEOPLE, anyone that thinks foreign policy experience is being a neigbor to and seeing Russia from some remote spot of Alaska, PLEASE I have more foreign expereince than this women. I've been to severl European countries for more than a fueling stop, I've been to central America several times and Canada more than I can count, Oh, I've actually been to Africa for a day ) WE CAN DO BETTER WOMEN, WAIT, OUT TIME IS COMING, DON"T JUMP THE GUN WITH THIS CRAZY WOMAN!

Whoa, wait a minute hear women...I'm a 47 y.o white women in PA with 4 kids. I work full-time and was a Hillary supporter. But I am not abouit to switch to support another woman who has been lying through her teeth most of the time. Have you been even listening and watching the news and reading about what she's REALLY done in Alaska? It isn't all pretty and I really don't want someone who by merely getting a women into office puts us back with some of the rights we've fought so hard for. And having just lost a mother who had Alzheimer's not that long ago, I beleive in stem cell research, and certainly don't like the way their behaving in their campaign. Whoever said McCain didn't have honor anymore was right. Read everything you can people before you make this choice. She was asked on national TV (first interview with C. Gibson-you can see this piece on internet) how the proximity to Russia gave her more insight into what was happening there lately and she actually replied, "well their our neighbors, you know we can see Russia from Alaska." ok, maybe that's not a precise quote, but watch it yourselves! It's pretty darn close. It was the most ridiculous answer I've heard in ages! Then theres the cover up with the Troopergate, seriously, if she has nothing to hide, why not get it out in the open! It should be out their for us to know the truth, and the bridge to nowhere lie. It goes on and on. She's not a fiscal conservative, she put Wasila into major debt, hired lobbyists and has gotten millions in earmark monies! WAKE UP WOMEN. SHE IS NOT THE CHOICE TO REPRESENT US FIRST! IT WILL ONLY MAKE US LOOK BAD LATER!

    • Posted By: Esencia08 @ 09/14/2008 12:04:48 AM

At least John McCain was astute enough to select a talented and dynamic female as his VP running mate. The democratic party and Obama more specifically, with 60% female constituent base could not manage to put a well qualified woman on its presidential ticket. Moreover, you have liberal men posting right here who are not only sexist but woman haters! What does this say about the democratic party that these kind of men hold such misogynistic attitudes toward women who aspire to be in leadership positions in the political arena? What value system do such men subscribe to? It makes me wonder if these men have been deprived of breast milk as babies.

      • Posted By: chrisphx66 @ 09/14/2008 4:35:58 AM

APPARENTLY YOU AND I HAVE VERY DIFFERING IDEAS AS TO WHAT 'TALENTED' AND 'DYNAMIC'. ALL I SEE IN YOUR LITTLE CLIP HERE IS REFERENCE TO THE BODILY PART BETWEEN HER LEGS - 'WOMAN', 'FEMALE'... CLITORAL REFERENCES FROM A DELUDED MIND. EITHER YOU WERE ALREADY GOING TO VOTE REPUBLIKANISCHER, OR YOU ARE A DISILLUSIONED HILLARY SUPPORTER (AND I VOTED FOR HER IN THE PRIMARY, SO DON'T START!) - EITHER WAY, YOU ONLY WANTED A VAGINA IN POWER. THAT'S ALL.

If he had really put his country first, he would have picked someone much, much more qualified than Palin! Wake Up Esencia08!! The Republicans have a Miserable Record for the Last Eight Years AND.. McCAIN HAS BEEN APART OF IT!! DON'T LET THEM PULL THE WOOL OVER YOUR EYES !! AS A Middle class, White Female, I'll wait for another Outstanding Female Candidate like Hillary, to run in future elections.

        TO: COWEN123456 ~~~~~~~
It appear to me you are voting for McCain/Palin ONLY because Palin is female. Correct???
I voted for Hillary too. Hillary's stance on issues is completely the opposite of Palin's. Moreover, Hillary is extremly qualified. Why in the Heck would you Vote for Palin?? Moreover, Palin is NOT Qualified, she has only been governor for 20 months, and she has NO Foreign affairs experience, NO National experience, NO a lot of things! Not to mention the media has caught her and McCain in Lies, she's unethical in the sense she hires her friends to high level positions they're not qualified for, and the list goes on! McCain has voted Against Women's Issues in the Senate, he's Voted With Bush 90% of the time, and again, the list of negatives pertaining to McCain/Palin is getting longer by the day! McCain could kick the bucket at 72, and people are terrified Palin would be president. OH my god.....Disaster!!! I could see our international enemies trying to take advantage of the situation. Our enemies hope McCain/Palin win, because they cards will then be stacked in our enemies favor.

Obama been a State and US Senate for (11) Years. Biden for many more. They compliment one another.
Biden is the Congressional Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. He's an EXpert in Foreign affairs, and will be Obama's right hand man. And Greenspan is backing Obama's economic plan, And
Obama tax cuts will be to 95% of taxpayer AND Twice as much as McCains!!
        VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN '08 *****

      • Posted By: chrisphx66 @ 09/14/2008 4:17:02 AM

A VOTE FOR MCCAIN/PALIN DEMONSTRATES A LACK OF THE ABILITY TO THINK.

based on your logic and with most americans now supporting mccain, i guess most voters lack the ability to think. looks like you need to move out of country like most of the liberal hollywood wannabe policial advisors. ever wondered why with billions of dollars spent on speeches, rallies, attack ads and staged shows, obama is behind? its because people are just not buying it!

        • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 9:57:25 AM

This type of "reasoning" reminds me of the old Soviet days. You can vote, but you have to vote the "right" way. And leftists wonder why they are viewed as radical nutjobs.

  • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 9:53:03 AM

Bottom line is people like Sarah and can relate to her. She is the only person of change and "one of the people". The electorate can see it and so can the shrilling leftists.

    • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 9:54:25 AM

You sound like a right winger who wants to believe that Palin can relate to people. Think again. She basically said that we should have went to war with Russia.

And you sound like a leftist who parrots distorted soundbites from your leftist media. You need to do research and start thinking for yourself instead of letting others do the thinking for you.

Sorry, I use to be a right winger who voted for that sad case Bush and I wish I could take my vote back. I will never vote Republican again. When Obama becomes President, what Country will you move too?

          • Posted By: benluclar @ 09/14/2008 10:42:28 AM

If Obama wins I will move to a country where people can actually speak English

            • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 1:12:23 PM

Well hurry, cause in 2042 this place will be called Los Americos. You won't be the majority......The hispanics will.

              • Posted By: ihateeveryoneincludingyou @ 09/15/2008 12:57:06 AM

No, payaso, it will be called Aztlan. (You only wish you were hispanic. I never ever heard of Los Americos.)

          • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 10:07:12 AM

Not moving. The better question is what will you do when Obama loses?

You do not sound like a "right winger". Why do leftists always feel the need to lie?

            • Posted By: lexi97701 @ 09/14/2008 10:41:58 AM

Obviously you haven't listened to any of the facts or read anything lately, Palin has been lying through her teeth, Bridge to nowhere: Lie; Troopergate cover up, if she didn't do anything wrong, then let us here the truth, it will set her free. How about the fiscal conservative gig: LIE, she put Waila in the hole in a big way, hse hired lobbyists to get millions in earmark monies and you peoplpe all act like you haven't heard these lies. I'm an independent, and I have my eyes WIDE OPEN, and so should you. Our countries future depends on it! Get over your partisanism bullshit and think for a change, read the facts. The program last night on CNN had people that know her well telling the truth, she's a back stabber and liar! She will take us back ages if she gets in there to represent women, is that what Hillary people REALLY want. Put your bitterness away people, grow up and think about what you might do to us!

            • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 10:11:40 AM

Trust me Hillary lover, you don't sound like a right winger. You sound more like an angry person.

              • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 10:15:39 AM

Is Hilary lover a slur now? LOL

What I am "angry" about is the fact that lunatic leftists take this moral high ground though they are the most morally bankrupt people in the country. Spare me.

                • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 10:25:19 AM

To bad it is a Republican who is in the White House. Now we are begging China and yes, Mexico for money. Damn right wingers. Take care of the rich and screw the rest. I guess the rich is getting their money now because in 2042, the Hispanics will be running America or Los America.

Being anti-abortion should not be synonymous to being against women's rights. The anti-abortion stance is about supporting the life of the child. Its ironic that many in our country are choosing a life-style of being vegetarians for ethical reasons (myself included), yet the killing of a human life (in the stage of life where we all once were, and without, you and I would not be reading this) has been made legal.

    • Posted By: ihateeveryoneincludingyou @ 09/15/2008 12:54:13 AM

      I agree with you 100%, and I'm pro-choice.

  • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 9:43:19 AM

Except that Palin never said she went to Iraq, but Kuwait.

    • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 9:46:06 AM

Think again. The McCain camp said that when Palin received her passport, her first trip was to see the troops in Iraq. Palin backed it up on one of their campaign stops. Get your facts straight.

      • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 9:50:38 AM

SHE never said Iraq. SHE said Kuwait. If there was an error in the "McCain" camp, SHE did not say it. Get your facts straight.

        • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 9:55:49 AM

I did Murgo. You must be an angry Hillary Supporter who wants to vote for McCain only because he has a woman running. I guess you agree with Sarah that if a woman gets raped, she should pay for her rape kit.

          • Posted By: Murgo525 @ 09/14/2008 10:12:05 AM

No, you did not, otherwise you would have known about the Kuwait/Iraq issue.

I liked Hillary as she was the much better Dem candidate. The only thing Obama has going for himself is his anti-white racism and the color of his skin. Were he not black, he would never, ever have gotten this far.

            • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 10:19:16 AM

That was dumb what you just said. Had nothing to do with his skin color. As many black men tried to become President, they didn't win. Now Obama is running for President and you want to say it's the color of his skin. You know whats so funny? In the year 2042, you won't even be the majority, the Hispanics will Then lets see what happens to America. Keep talking about skin color.....soon you will be discriminated against because of the color of your skin.

              • Posted By: ihateeveryoneincludingyou @ 09/15/2008 12:41:41 AM

Knock it off with this stupid "Hispanics are gonna take over and you're gonna be sorry" crap. You're not Hispanic....if you WERE, for starters you would know that we would never call the place Los America....more like Aztlan. Secondly, with all the chasing after white guys and girls we have going on, our skin color is going to pale out sooner rather than later. You'll see lots of little Garcias and Rodriguezes with blond hair by then and it will be natural, not bleached.DIOS MIO!!

WHEN THE LIBERAL ELITE "MAIN STREAM MEDIA" INJECTS ITSELF INTO A NATIONAL US ELECTION, IT LEADS TO THE "LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES"

IF THERE'S WAS NO "MSM" BIAS AGAINST HILLARY, HILLARY WOULD BE THE US PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND OBAMA WOULD BE THE VP CANDIDATE

IF THE TICKET IS CLINTON/OBAMA.....THERE IS NO SARAH PALIN EFFECT

IF THERE IS NO SARAH PALIN, THERE IS MCCAIN/ROMNEY REPUB TICKET

THEREFORE, THERE WOULD BE 8 YEARS OF CLINTON/OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

THEREFORE, THERE WOULD BE 8 YEARS OF OBAMA/KEANE ADMINSTRATION

BY US LIBERAL ELITE MEDIA BACKING OBAMA AND TRASHING HILLARY, THEY LOSE A POSSIBLE 16 YEARS IN POWER AND WILL PROBABLY NOW LOSE 8 OUT OF THE LAST 11 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

THE MSM DESERVES WHAT IT GETS

Illogical. I find when someone CAPITALIZES every word it's just because they want to rant. Liberal elite is such a hackneyed, overused word - how about the conservative elite? They are the ones in the country clubs!

I???ve got a copy of ???McCain???s War on Women??? by Kate Sheppard right in front of me. It appeared in the magazine In These Times, August, 2008. Rather than spin new stuff I???m just going to type up some information that I found in this article, and readers can decide whether they still want to vote for McCain.

    1. McCain opposes the Ledbetter Fair Play Act. In fact he told a New Orelas audience, ???It hard for them (women) to leave their families when they don???t have somebody to take care of them.???
Is he referring to Sarah Palin here??? Bear in mind that the Supreme Court rejected Lilly Ledbetter???s. If we appoint more judges like Alioto or Roberts, women who have been victims of flagrant sexual discrimination will not have the ghost of a chance to get justice

    2. McCain voted against the proposal to expand SCHIPS in 2007, which would have expanded SCHIP???s coverage to pregnant women.

    3. McCain has pledged to appoint Supreme Court judgest who will overturn Roe vs. Wade. Sarah Palin wants to ban all abortions, including cases of rape and incest.

    4. McCain also voted to require parental conest for teenagers who want access to contraceptives. He voted to abolish funding for birth control and gynecological care for low-income women - a big reason that our infant mortality rate is higher than Cuba???s, and the highest in the industrial world.

When I look at this data, my gut level straight talk reply is that any woman who supports McCain is about a stupid as a Texas high school cheerleader who puts out for the star quarterback just before the big game without the appropriate ???protection.???. But then again, teenage shot gun marriages are back in style, albeit in the real world the vast majority of baby daddies hit and run.

And, I don???t want to be called some sort of evil, elitist liberal.

So, ladies. Look at the list. Is this what youwant? If it is vote for McCain. I could, of course, quote George Bernard Shaw, ???Beware of what you wish for, it might come true.??? But then again I don???t want to get trashed for telling the truth.

If women don???t like this list, they???d better vote for Obama as well as his Democratic allies. Democrats really give women an offer they can???t refuse.

It's great that Obama supports the Ledbetter fair pay act. Too bad he stiffs the women in his office and pays the men better. Some supporter of women!

    • Posted By: Independant Voter @ 09/14/2008 1:24:54 PM

Well said! Listen to the positions that these 4 candidates are taking - and make your decision based on what you believe. For me - this is an easy choice.

  • Posted By: chindognyc @ 09/14/2008 9:40:16 PM

When FMLA was started by Bill Cllinton, women who gave birth stayed home to take care of their new born and get paid. Since Bush took office, he has reduced the amount of time a woman can take time off and you don't get paid. This is what the Republicans do to take care of the big corporation and John and Sarah approves this measure.

    • Posted By: LynnPA @ 09/15/2008 12:26:17 AM

You are incorrect on this policy... women were never paid for family leave, it is unpaid leave. You only received the balance of your sick and vacation time. You can easily look this up on the government site or better yet, talk to your HR rep at work... they will help to clarify your mistake.

    • Posted By: ihateeveryoneincludingyou @ 09/15/2008 12:02:38 AM

Are you freakin' kidding me? No one has ever gotten paid for leave under FMLA unless they had sick/vacation leave to take. I know, I took it twice.
