From Seneca Falls to … Sarah Palin?

True story. I was leaving my apartment building this morning and a man approached me with a piece of paper and some safety pins. "What are you doing?" I asked him. He told me to pin on a "for sale" sign to my shirt. "Why?" I asked. He told me Roe v. Wade may be overturned in the near future and my reproductive rights would then be for sale. He said his name was Todd and he would be my realtor. Just whatever you do, he told me, don't get pregnant unexpectedly. Then he patted me on the back and said "Good luck".

It???s amazing how the Obama supporters keep bring-up the same ole, same ole??? she???s a liar, she???s terrible, she???s horrible. And yet??? they forget that Obama was the only senator, the only one??? to vote against (NO) on an important piece of legislation created to help the most innocent and vulnerable in our country??? infants in need of urgent medical care.

We are talking about living, breathing babies, the result of botched abortions, who are OUTSIDE of the mother??? breathing on their own. Without this bill, those performing the abortions were strangling, smothering, and breaking the necks of these infants.

Why do you think the government had to step in and write this bill??? they had nothing better to do with their time with all of the other issues this country is facing??? even pro-abortion legislators voted, ???Yes?????? except Obama !!! That is a scary, dangerous character flaw, which speaks volumes to those who take the time to listen.

McCain-Palin are literally being phony and flip-flopping to adjust to whatever comes up, even copying whatever Obama says. Now Lieberman is trying to help and has touted that the surge was so successful and wants the senate to confirm that. The facts indicate that the only reason there has been progress and a significant decline in the violence is because the Iraqi's stopped fighting each other. The Anabar (sp?) Awakening obviously had a whole lot more to do with that and it started well before the surge. Now the surge didn't hurt and probably helped support the Awakening but the surge by itself very likely would have failed, even with more troops and especially over the long term, and possibly the Awakening may have even worked by itself. Senator Lieberman's efforts are again just more of the political shell game, trying to manipulate public opinion. Lieberman is apparently putting all of his eggs in McCain's basket and very likely will need to become a Republican after this election.

Not Attack McCain

Be careful not to assign too much scientific precision to polls. They arent as accurate as portrayed. But SEVERAL different SURVEYS at roughly the SAME TIME that SHOW SIMILAR RESULTS are useful guides. So three trends in recent polls MUST WORRY Sen. Barack OBAMA and encourage Sen. John McCain.

First, an AVERAGE OF SEVEN NATIONAL POLLS the week before the Democratic convention showed Mr. Obama leading Mr. McCain by two points. By the middle of the next week, Mr. Obamas lead had climbed to almost eight points. Now, nearly two weeks later, Mr. McCain has a lead of roughly two points. Since the middle of the GOP convention, ONE OUT OF EVERY 10 voters has CHANGED THEIR PREFERENCE . . . a significant movement this late in the campaign.

That movement comes, in part, from GAINS Mr. McCain has made on personal LEADERSHIP attributes. In the latest Washington Post/ABC poll, for example, he LENGTHENED HIS LEAD on the question of who would be a BETTER COMMANDED-IN-CHIEF (he is now AHEAD BY 45 points). He is also seen as the STRONGER LEADER, and as the MORE HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY candidate. Meanwhile, Mr. Obama saw his lead on who would BRING needed CHANGE DROP by 20 points.

The same survey found that 48% of Americans consider Mr. OBAMA UNQUALIFIED FOR THE PRESIDENCY, virtually unchanged from 46% in March and June. When Fox News asked voters whom they would ask for ADVICE FOR THE TOUGHEST DECISION in their life, voters favored Mr. MCCAIN by a 50% to 34% margin.

There is a similar pattern on issues. Both the Fox News and Washington Post/ABC polls showed Mr. MCCAINs advantages GREW ON TERROR, IRAQ and UNEXPECTED MAJOR CRISIS. . . while he ERASED Mr. OBAMAs EDGE ON ENERGY, and CUT THE DEMOCRATs LEAD on both the ECONOMY and the DEFICIT to acceptable levels.

Perhaps most surprising of all, FIVE RECENT NATIONAL POLLS have shown a significant tightening in party identification, ERODING a big LEAD Democrats have enjoyed since 2006.

How durable are these changes? We dont know. But OPINIONS SOLIDIFY as an election approaches, and this one is now only 47 DAYS AWAY.

If someone???s strong bias, prejudice or emotional attachment just makes it impossible for them to vote for Obama-Biden, then that is a real shame but maybe it just can???t be overcome. Even recognizing that John McCain is really out of touch with the people and with the problems and literally, like George W Bush, is focused on Special Interests and continuing policies that have and are failing all Americans; even recognizing that Sarah Palin could become president, if McCain-Palin were elected, and seeing that she is self-focused, extreme, bazaar, arrogant, aggressive and incapable; and even noting that they both are literally dishonest saying anything and everything they think will get them what they want, even to often copying whatever Obama says; even if someone???s conscience identifies all of those things and yet they still need to rationalize that Obama and Biden have faults too and they then try to build that into something more meaningful; then maybe the only rational and conscience driven thing for them to do is just not vote. The Bush-Cheney administration has left America with a whole lot that we desperately need to recover from and it actually has become more and more obvious that a McCain-Palin administration would very possibly be even worse. We, America, just can???t take that! If anyone does recognize the truth but still can???t overcome their resistance, for whatever reason, and just can???t vote for Obama-Biden, then they should follow their conscience and just not vote. That would be more responsible.

I have read your insulting posts about Obama female supporters and since I am one of them I have decided to take the matter into my hands and to finally let you have what you deserve unless you retract your statement and apologize. Sarah Pail will be great in 10 years. Move to a larger city that she can represent and make the "changes" she is so desperate to make and then I will consider her for the highest office on the planet. I am sure she is a very smart lady but I think she has alot going on right now and needs to focus on her family for just a few years. There will be a lady president in my lifetime I am sure but I also don't want to rush into someone that we know nothing about. At least Hillary has a past that we are ll aware of, the good the bad and the ugly. Try me again in 10 years - I may vote for Palin, until then OBAMA/BIDEN 08

All three Obama-related executives earned millions in compensation from Fannie Mae.
All three have been involved in mortgage-related financial scandals.

And all three are Obama's Economic Advisors... yeh, the US really needs to get economic advise from these three stooges.

What this woman wants is respect for both female candidates in this year's race as barrier breakers. Whether you agree with Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin or not, they are due respect for shattering barriers against women in both parties. Their candidacies are historic.. They have changed the way that many people envision what women are capable of. I would like to see them both applauded for their courage and their leadership. They have served women well regardless of whether women are willing to acknowledge it or not.

Democrats, Florida elections officials criticize GOP mailing

TALLAHASSEE ??? A new pitch for John McCain's presidential campaign aimed at older Democratic voters is causing complaints by Democrats and concern by elections officials.

The piece, paid for by the Republican National Committee and authorized by McCain, tells voters it is seeking to double-check their "unconfirmed" party affiliations while asking for money. A letter signed by McCain tells the Democrats: "We have you registered as a Republican."

"I was a little bit shocked and a little bit surprised," said recipient Bill Smith, 81, of Tampa, who calls himself a lifelong Democrat and has been registered at his current address since 2000. The retired plant engineer is one of about a dozen senior citizens that Democratic Party leaders identified as recipients, all of them longtime Democrats.

The RNC declined to discuss the mailer, which Democrats said has landed in five counties: Duval, Hillsborough, Collier, Miami-Dade and Escambia.

"This is simply a fundraising piece," said spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson, adding in an e-mail it was not "worth writing about."

To all you like minded folks out here, please check this out, it's a petition started to stop the cover up of the scandal in Alaska, the troopergate issue. I have been an independent that switched over after the Bush administration and am ever more resolved with this kind of thing going on. We all deserve to know the truth BEFORE the election! If theres nothing to hide...why keep trying to sweep this under the rug? America deserves the truth before November!
