Let's face it - McCain didn't have the luxury of picking a female candidate smarther than he is, she might just show him up. That narrowed the field considerably.

If they wanted a republican conservative woman who, instead of a uterus, has a brain and a resume, McCain could have chosen someone like Senator Elizabeth Dole - who better to answer the call at 3 am than the former head of the Red Cross? The far right likes her just fine.

He chose the caricature instead, because the appeal is motherhood, hoping to appeal to all who are mothers, and all who have one.

This is one mother who doesn't buy any of it.

I heard this, funny McCain supporters have absolutely no problem with this type of crazy azz rants but that Wright. Now he is just anti-American and hateful.

If Chelsea or one of Obama's daughters (if they were old enought) came up pregnant, boy all you would hear and read is how lacking in family values.the Obamas or Clintons were and that they were just examples of how Godless Democrats/liberals were. Holyroller, Rush The Junkie and their deciples on these boards would have a field day calling them all kinds of sluts and other horrible names. You would not be reading any sympathetic posts about leave her children alone. Where are the Church Nazis and Christian Reich why aren't they out there yelling about the immorality of our nation's misguided youth.

ACORN and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent years. In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, DEAD voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey. During a Congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained ACORNs practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.

Given this history, it is not surprising that ACORN is so HOSTILE TO VOTER IDENTIFICATION laws and other efforts to ensure fairness and accuracy at the polls.
