I do not agree with Geraldine Ferraro at all. She appears to be one of these people who will constantly expect women to hide behind their skirts. This Palin matter is not one of sex. She wants to do a job that is judged harshly by all; both men and women. If people, men and women, ask that Palin be treated equally, then I do not see why all this noise about sexism.

Palin is to some extent very lacking in preparation for the job. Should she be left to glide through because she is a woman? I think Frerraro is not being realistic Palin must be grilled to see what she is made of and what she has to offer. If Biden was a woman, even with all his experience Ferraro would be complaining about sexism. Now we all are advising Biden to tread gently. Meanwhile Palin will come out forecefully, to take him down. So why should he not take her down? Palin cannot run this campaign based on trying to manipulate her audiences. She is a Queen of platitudes and generalities and she is neither sound nor does she have the qualifications to be vice-president.

She must be put to test to prove her worth and please no complaining by women about her being asked tough questions. If she makes the grade, then I would be happy for her but so far she is below the pass mark.

Yes, I absolutely agree with Geraldine Ferraro that women still face sexism...Hillay Clinton should be the democrat presidential nominee and she would be a sure win for the democrats. Hillary Clinton definitely is more qualified than Barack Obama to be president. Governor Sarah Palin is more qualified than Barack Obama to be president and she is only running for vice president. I think that is the reason Obama is so afraid of Sarah Palin and his surrogates and the biased media is trying so hard to smear Governor Sarah Palin. John McCain is a maverick who will unite republicans and democrats and Governor Sarah Palin is a Maverick who has the courage to fight the "good ole boys" to get things accomplished regardless of whether they are republicans or democrats. By the time Sarah Palin is an understudy of the president for four years, she will likely be the GOP candidate for president if John McCain does not run for four more years. Either way Senator Hillary Clinton would definitely be the best candidate for the democrats if she chooses to run again. I don't think too many people will care much about Barack Obama by then unless he actually accomplishes something in the senate by then. Maybe Obama can go to Berlin and get a job as a "Citizen of the World" after we elect a "Citizen of America" for president. NOBAMA

It is really amazing to see such prejudice in action. Whoever you are, you should definitely go look in the mirror and ask "Who is that person?". Every thing you have said is a lie, fabricated by the republican machine to grab all of you people who make a decision by looking at the ladies eyeglasses or at some "WAR" record. He is a great warrior so he will make a great peace president, she kills moose and bears so she will make a great green vp. He has voted for every handout to big business, so he will bring the corporate corruption under control.

Are you actually as dumb as you seem? Wake up America, this is Bush and the same thing over and over again. This whole thing is concocted by Rove, that wonderful person who brought you Bush. Holy hannah, can't you people see past your bigoted little noses?

I can't believe the degree of stupidity this country is exhibiting. When they sell you down the river and then lie straight faced about it, you buy it. I hope you enjoy your purchase.

      • Posted By: Morgan2008 @ 09/17/2008 7:49:48 PM

To: the_shelton: You better hope we save your purchase if you are believing all of the empty rhetoric Barack Obama is selling you. I voted for Bill Clinton twice and those eight years went very well. I didn't vote for George W. Bush in 2000 or 2004 and those almost eight years have not gone well at all. I voted for Hillary Clinton in the democraatic primary but I will put country ahead of party and refuse to vote for Barack Obama. Barack Obama is all talk without a record to back up his empty rhetoric, and he is taking the democratic party too far to the left. Obama and his supporters can try to paint McCain as a third term Bush all they want, but it doesn't make it true. John McCain has had a reputation as a Maverick for many years because he has the courage to stand up to his own party. Barack Obama has never stood to anyone. John McCain will govern from the center and will appoint members of both parties in his administration. John McCain has a record of working bipartisan, and he will put country first. Barack Obama is a slick talking Chicago political machine politician who will put his political career first. I think you are the one who needs to wake up and stop blindly following an empty suit. NOBAMA

Morgan, just read what you are saying here..you voted for Bill Clinton and those years went very well. you didnt vote for Pres. Bush and these 8 years have not been good at all. As a Rep., I admit it and I voted pres Bush both times...You don't like Obama and because Hillary isn't the nominee, you are going to vote for McCain. Very reckless and just plain dumb. McCain and Palin both =Bush. All the evidence points them to the President.

          • Posted By: Morgan2008 @ 09/22/2008 1:39:50 AM

Wise up Pia1981. When the party goes off in the wrong direction, I am not dumb...I am dumping the party and voting for a person I like and trust in the other party. Voting strictly party is what has the country in a crisis. Congress and the administration has to unify and work bipartisan for the good of the country. McCain/Palin are a pair of Mavericks who will work with both parties for the good of the country. Barack Obama is a peron who has written two books about himself...I think Barack Obama, if elected, would govern for his own self- interests and not the good of the country. NOBAMA for me.

Pia, 2000 you get a pass. That compassionate conservative crap was appealing. But by 2004 ? We all knew Bush was an arrogant, partisan, bigoted, incompetent, indifferent, divisive, disinterested, laxy, out of touch, vengeful, disrespectful politican. What on earth compelled you to vote for him in 2004, knowing how bad the next four years would be ?

Sep.11, 2001. Did you lose a family member in the ashes, News?

              • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/18/2008 4:54:18 PM

Thank God no, I didn't lose a family member on 9/11/01, but thanks for your concern. I pray you didn't either.
Bush got more credit than he deserved in the years following 9/11. If I'm off the mark, let me know.
You've come to realize that your vote for Bush in 2004 was a mistake, and he took advantage of his power, and we are headed down the wrong direction, so now you support Obama

Thank you for understanding and I apologize for being so blunt in asking if you had lost a loved one. My family did. I lost a cousin.. a beautiful, newly married, 26 year old woman who worked as a stock broker for Cantor Fitzgerald.

Yep - to see Nancy Pelosi's daughter twisting and turning when asked if Sarah's win was a backward step for women was comedic. And the DNC should feel ashamed that they destroyed Hillary Clinton - they literally diminished her accomplishments and marginalised her. Yet they want her to go out and stump for Obama. Big state wins and primaries count more than littlke states and caucuses. So now why would any woman want to be a Democrat after this?

      • Posted By: glimps @ 09/18/2008 7:53:02 PM

        i disagree !

H.C. lost fair & square.. bottom line if McCain wins this election because some women are mad ( then that is that). Palin is just a "Dream Ticket" for the Repblicans to win because of the economics woes..

i dont Care if you're a Dem/ switch Repblican but, the reality is that McCain picked her to feed into the hype that somehow H.C. was robbed the Nomination..... ( & then looked over to be VP).

if some of us women are that shallow to think that the election was stolen from her & then Palin is the new H.C. then more power to you....
me on the other hand, i think H.C. was a good candidate ; but she didnt plan ahead, & she was carrying the good & bad of Bill along with her ( half the party wanted her the two for one deal) ( the other half wanted Obama). Obama won... The Media favors McCain & has for a long time..

i think alot of ppl who dont like Obama just is mad that H.C. lost & they feel he should have waited his turn.. H.C. is an washington insider ( her daughter works for one of the oil companies & great for Ches.) but i bet she knew that McCain was going to pick a female incase Obama didnt pick her..

Joe Biden has been around for a long time as well ( i personally thought that Obama was going to pick a Gov. instead of a Senator).. Boy was i wrong ! i do however, think that if he was going to pick a senator then H.C. should have been on the top of the list. But i wont deter from being a Dem.

Obama's not selecting Hillary was the final insult, and McCain capitalized on it.

Ms Pelosi plans to cut and run and leave town per Newt Gingrich. He is very afaid of this and realizes this is dereliction of duty if they do. Newsweek fails to tell us how much the Democrats value 8 weeks of vacation over a comprehensive energy bill. Ms. Pelosi has restricted and minimized energy use. They have cost us all money. Broken Obama has cost us TONS OF MONEY and supports these failures.

  • Posted By: trazer @ 09/19/2008 9:56:13 PM

I receive the AlaskaMagazine. In the magazine, they quote the following: "Given the states natural resources, I think its possible Alaska could ....replace the funds the federal government now sends here to pay for transportation, education, and other services we consider essential." What is the Democrat response to this? Broken Obama wants Alaskans not to work; not to provide resources; and PAY $7.00 for a gallon of gas.

In San Francisco, both Cindy Sheehan and Dana Walsh are so fed up with the nonsense of Nancy Pelosi, who has a 11 per cent approval rating. I think Pat Wingert, the writer of this article, should seriously wonder why the Democrats would want this mother of 5 to be in office. The Democrats have attacked every woman who does. Per the Dems definition, Ms. Pelosi should be voted out of office and the country would be better off.

  • Posted By: trazer @ 09/19/2008 9:48:39 PM

In San Francisco, both Cindy Sheehan and Dana Walsh (http://www.danawalshforcongress.com/ ) are running against Nancy Pelosi, who has a 11 % approval rating. Pelosi has failed America with her taking vacation and costing us $$$$ at the gas pump. She is a mother of 5, and per the Dems unfit for office.

maybe the surge of women voters for McCain because of Palin is because they are hopeing McCain dies so that the VP. will be the president..... i mean he is the oldest man running/ & the cancer situation the percentage of McCain passing are growing ill w/ in is first term is High... maybe the women who are moving over to McCain is hoping that they are voting the first women president in .....

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/16/2008 7:28:11 PM

I agree, glimps. I think it's reckless to vote for McCain for this reason only as many women are doing. What are you gonna do, right? Dumb women. Nice to read you glimps..missed you.. Hey Pia,

how have you been? when i heard that McCain picked Palin my first thought was " how shallow are we women".. if he wanted to pick a female that would grab some or most of the H.C. supporters he should have picked a moderate/ pro-choice women ( that would have proven the reformer he claims to be.. i heard that he wanted liberman though & she was a last resort to pick up his conservative base...

i missed chatting w/ you too & how's Alvy? sure we can correspond w/ each other .. we can exchange yahoo addresses..

                yeah !! thats the point.

it works for their family.. but like i said " how many average americans" can do that? the race is deadlocked, & there is an article on newsweek about a H.C. supporter / fund rasier who is now supporting McCain/ Palin becuse she feels Obama can't connect to the "Average American".... who are the "Average Americans"? most average americans need a two house hold income....

                • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/17/2008 4:11:31 PM

There are plenty of ways to criticize Palin without mocking her lifestyle and husband. I'm not sure what an average American is, but Hillary identified more with blue collar moderate democrats than Obama did during the primary, even though Hillary is super wealthy.
Obama has a perception problem with some blue collar democrats, mostly of his own doing. It started, fairly or not, with his guns and religion problems last April. HIs turning down of Federal funds created a perception of hubris, and now it is back firing. His speech in Germany was viewed as more spectacle than substance. He gave his acceptance speech at Mile High stadium rather than the convention hall. He passed over Hillary for his running mate, which most people agree was a mistake. He had a fund raiser at Barbara Streisand's 46,000 square foot mansion. Those are the things that drive blue collar voters nuts.
You can contradict that with McCain's wealth, his being older, out of touch, etc., but the simple fact is, there is a perception that Obama is elitist.
Personally I tend to stick with policy opinions when lauding or criticizing candidates.
Palin hasn't done enough interviews yet, so we aren't sure how her personal views (some of which seem radical) translate into her policy opinions.

                  • Posted By: glimps @ 09/17/2008 5:03:43 PM

yada yada i see your point but that sounds like a Rebplican talking point..

the Democrats have had problems & an elitist stigma since the founding fathers.. i'm orginally from PA. i know those regan dems.. ppl forget CA. went regan back then too whose stigma is now supper liberal..

those blue collar workers most always pick rebplican this yr. is no differ. however, they did connect to H.C. well because they connected to Bill well so that is a valid point ....

McCain has a surge of ( white women voters) . but it's not reported yet, or i havent heard yet if this surge is because of Palin or if most of these women are mad H.C. supporters... only time will tell.

Yours is the type of dismissive insults I have been getting all year, and I have been a registered democrat for 25 years! I proudly voted for Hillary in the primaries becuase I KNEW she would make the best preisdent. Personally I am still undecided, partially because Obama has shown arrogance instead of compentence all summer long. Some Obama supporters, rather than discuss alternative viewpoints, insult, criticize and dismiss alternative veiw points.

                      • Posted By: glimps @ 09/18/2008 5:19:49 PM

what was dismissive & what was insulting? Obama said "cling to religion & guns" his wife first time loves america" rev. wright said 911 happen because americans were interfering & sold those weapons of mass destruction to them " our chickens come home to roost".... our chickens our comming home to roost agian with this economny now..

okay lets break what i said down..... Cling to Religion & guns.. that far right-wing of the repblican party actually does that.. Palin is a clinger to her religion & guns.. just go see the youtube of her at the church..
first time proud of america ( LOL !! Chris Mathews actually used that saying the day that Obama did his speech & networks didnt make sound bits of that).. how funny is that?
Palins church preaches that we are in Iraq/ Afgan. because the lord said " chickens come home to roost"..

i find myself laughing at this whole thing...

that is your opinion if you feel that Obama shows arogance, ( frankly i perfer my president to have a A personality).. i would rather him be smart then to have graduated at the bottom of his class.. does that make you a C or D personality?

                        • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/19/2008 11:45:44 AM

Who are you to grade my personality because I don't share your opinion?
Chris Matthews is part of MSNBC, which lost credibility when it Hillary bashed all through the primaries. If you want to defend Michelle Obama's comment, Rev Wright, and Obama's elitist commments, go ahead, but if enough Obama supporters share your view, he will lose in November.
Personally I haven't heard enough from Palin yet to assess her candidacy to my satisfaction. Some of her personal views seem radical, but I'm curious to hear how she applies them to policy.
I prefer to listen and learn from others viewpoints, rather than insult

how have you been Pia? I was hoping to come out of the undecided column after the conventions, but unfortunately I'm still there. I don't think many Hillary supporters will vote for McCain because of Palin. However, I think part of McCain's strategy for selecting Palin, and it is working, is that every time Hillary supporters see Palin they are reminded that Obama should have put Hillary on his ticket

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/17/2008 2:44:32 PM

Hello, News. I'm very well, thank you. How are you?

You are having a difficult time making a decision..it's understandable..you want to make the right choice, not flip a coin. For me the right choice is Obama/Biden..hands down.

I agree that many of Hillary's supporters will not vote McCain. The ones who do, are voting for Palin only because she s woman. Thse women are not too bright.

          • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/17/2008 3:57:38 PM

I'm not sure they would be voting for Palin becuase she is a woman. I think Palin puts salt in the Hillary wound. Some Hillary supporters are "Reagan Democrats" who occasionally flip to the other side. Many are older and have been democrats for years, and experience trumps party loyalty.
Had Hillary been nominated or on the ticket, they would have voted for her and or Obama.
There doesn't seem to be much logic of a Hillary supporter voting for McCain because Palin is a woman, but I will concede there may be a few who do so

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 09/18/2008 1:58:38 PM

News, IMO, there will be many more than a few Hillary supporters voting for Cain because of Palin. Not too bright voters.

I agree with that. If Hillary supporters switch over to Obama for the reasons I state above, I can support that. But if it's primarily because she is a woman, that would be ill advised.

To be charitable with McCain : He is very tired

The Mental Health of John McCain should be carefully monitored.

He seems very tired, as if the years had a lot of weight on him.

He is promising beautiful things to Latinos in TV ads on "Migra",, Spanish slang for Immigration, Those ads in Spanish are exactly the opposite of what he tells the Anglo Audience in English.

McCain seems to believe that Spain is a country in Latin America, and that Zapatero is a bandit, with poncho, sombrero, and bullet belts crossing the chest.

I do not want to make fun of the sickness of an old man. But for his own good, McCain should have a check on Alzheimer.

Please, Carefully monitor everything that McCain says. This man seems very changed and very different of the better McCain of Old. Is he manipulated and managed by aides ???

The same guys of offensive and deceptive ads ???

McCain does not know that Spain is the European country that first explored and colonized his home state of Arizona, a member of NATO with >1,000 troops in Afganistan and the 8th economy of the world.

    The signs of dementia.

A question I have is why Hillary is not more actively involved in the campaign, especially as a counter to Palin? She and Biden working together would do a great job exposing Palin for what she is, a former hick-town mayor and governor of a small state (tiny Hawaii has twice as many people as Alaska) with a large redneck constituency. Is Obama not letting HRC get involved? (big mistake) Or is it Hillary being lukewarm because she wants Obama to fail (unforgiveable mistake)?

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/16/2008 1:29:34 PM

Hillary is as actively involved in the campaign as Obama will allow. Its not a good idea for her to trash Palin though. He needs other female surrogates to do that

      • Posted By: RiversideWarrior @ 09/16/2008 3:19:29 PM

Well it is clearly not enough, Obama better bring her in to be more heavily involved. She can speak to the economic and women's issues of concern (equal pay, contraceptive choice, pro-choice, etc.), showing up Palin/McCain in the process.

        • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/16/2008 4:38:10 PM

That's not Hillary's fault. She is doing everything humanly possibly even though the DNC and party elites wanted Obama to win. Obama overlooked her for the VP nomination, and she is still working tirelessly for Obama. If Obama wants something, he has to be humble for once and ask for it. It is a little late in the game, however. Every time I see Hillary I am reminded of what a mistake Obama made by not including her on the ticket.

I wouldn't say I was surprised, but i wasn't sure how favorable your opinion of Hillary is

I used to like her as First Lady and very much sympathized with her during the Monica scandal.... then I became disppointed when all the shady stuff came out before Bill left office. I disliked her during the primaries..when she lost I was happy for Obama ,but again, I know she was very disappointed and I felt sympathy for her...now I actually feel some affection, pride and admiration and not because I am begging for her supporters to vote for Obama. She is quite a woman, the strongest woman I know besides my mother...Palin can't even begin to compare.

Actually Palin is even stronger than Hillary for her appeal crosses gender lines and that is something. Knock her all you want but she pulled herself up by her bootstraps and did not have a famous husband to ride piggy-back. And I say this even though I was a staunch Hillary supporter (now I am for Gov. Palin). But I believe in giving people their dues as opposed to being mean spirited. And the DNC is responsible for letting this genie out of the bottle because of the shameful way they stole the nomination from Hillary. Big states & primaries count more than little states & caucuses

                      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/19/2008 11:41:17 AM

Hillary is stronger than Palin. She first become known when she delivered a commencement address against the Vietnam War and then Senator Brooks at her graduation from Wellesley College in 1969. Rather than take a cushy Northeast job after law school, she married Bill and moved to Arkansas. She went on to be listed as one of the youngest female lawyers amongst the top 100 lawyers in America. She proved to be committed to learning, listening, working, and speaking out all the way through her husband's administrations as governor and president. She won a hotly contested senate race in 2000, and has become a widely respected senator. She was re-elected with 2/3 of the vote in 2006. She showed her tenacity, knowledge, compassion, and fighting instincts all through the primary.
I certainly admire and respect Governor Palin, but to date Hillary is more accomplished.

Many of the favorable characteristics you now see in Hillary I began to see about a year ago. Up until then I was never wild about her (or Bill for that matter). She has come across as strong, knowledgeable, competent, experienced, with strong leadership qualities and worthy of respect. She threw some punches during the primaries, but I found her to be very impressive on the issues

    • Posted By: think4yourself @ 09/16/2008 3:50:44 PM

She's not more involved because she chooses to not be and I dont blame her. Tired of everyone EXPECTING HER win the Obama's campaign for him. She's done MORE than enough for him. If he cant handle Gov. Palin on his own, then he should not have been chosen to be the party's leader. I'm sure if it was Hillary she wouldnt need all of this HELP. He's the head of the party. Let him do it himself !

McCain ??? Palin and The Oil Industry
In 2006 , Bp Alaska, Exxon Mobile, Chevron and Conoco Phillips gave over 1.7 Million dollars to AK First Org. Inc. and to Alaska Oil and Gas Association to repeal Measure 2 of the Alaska Constitution. They succeeded with the help of Palin. By spreading the wealth their 1.7 Million dollar Investment created a windfall of profits only rivaled by Mr. Buffet himself.

With Palin???s help and under the watchful eye of the Bush. Cheney and Mc Cain administration the Oil Emirates will also receive credits against future taxation worth even more billions of dollars. It appears that Palin and the Bush administration are paying the oil companies back all the taxes they have paid since the inception of Measure 2.

What do we know about Palin? Not much according to the Media. We do know Governor Palin is the Public Member for the Alaska Oil and Natural Gas Conservation Commission. What you should know is that the mission of Alaska Oil and Natural Gas Conservation Commission is to work hand in hand with the oil industry to help maximize production, improve resource recovery and to reduce the rights of land owners through its correlative rights mandate. They are task with overseeing the disposal of all toxic waste produced by companies such as Alaska Oil, Chevron, Exxon and BP Alaska.

According to the ??? Inlet Keeper??? these companies are ???legally??? pumping 2 Billion Gallons of toxic waste into the fisheries of Cook Inlet annually. Governor Pain is one of three controlling members of this group comprised of One Geologist, One Petroleum Engineer and one public member, ie Palin.

Wow! its no wonder they picked her for VP. The media chooses to ignore or not care about these facts. Just as with the mis-information they brought us with Iraq they have again been bought and paid for by special interest. Yes afraid of going against the powerful political machine of the Bush administrative and detrimental to the public of the United States and rest of the world; our news media is again not reporting the facts! Surprised; no I???m not but you should be!

The oil companies are once again putting their own candidate into office. They are selling us a Miss America candidate with her cute little smile in a business suit. A candidate who is in charge of and has been responsible for saving oil companies billions by letting them pump two billion gallons of toxic waste into the Cook Inlet and Ice Fields of Alaska annually . You wonder why the Ice is melting maybe it???s the Billions of Gallons of toxic waste compliments of our own greed and unwillingness to reduce our dependence on oil!

Vote for Real Change vote against the Emirates of Alaska and their Palin Pawn, the Mavericks and Cowboys of Arizona, Texas and beyond!

Vote Obama! Make history Make a Difference!

  • Posted By: trazer @ 09/16/2008 9:23:50 PM

Ms Pelosi who is very small minded and interested mainly on her and husband's stock portfolio,. She has refused to listen to Americans who wanted to address the energy crisis. Bills need to be written by the House and Senate before they go to the Presidents Office. Obama has failed to even raise the fact that the Democratic majority has failed to act. Obama has done nothing....he is just words (and most recently only if he uses a teleprompter.)

    • Posted By: glimps @ 09/16/2008 10:49:25 PM

the Dems aggreed to drill ( even though we wont see this in my life time but they aggreed today to " drill baby drill)..

the irony here is that we only have about 3% of the oil & we wont even see any benefits short term so this was just a long term solution ( lets say 15 -20yrs from now).. so we will still see high gas prices.

      • Posted By: LMAO @ 09/18/2008 7:12:39 PM

Actually the areas that will be released to drilling can be tapped and be on production in less than 3 years. The areas we are forced to work now is the hard stuff. For 8 years we have been working on technology to produce these areas and we are no where close. I know of what I speak as I work in th eoil and gas industry.

        • Posted By: glimps @ 09/18/2008 7:23:32 PM

Didnt the ppl have federal land that could have been used to drill yrs. ago?

About the may posts of Sarahh :

They are extremely offensive, Racist, NeoRacist, Bigotry, Prejudice.

I hope that a great intellectual magazine like Newsweek is not contaminated and pollutad by such filth and dirt, by such bigotry without intellect..

Newsweek has always been intelligent, rational, cultivated and cultured, educated; polished; refined.

Newsweek should not be a mud slinging and smear throwing machine.

This Hypocrisy and Cowardice of Racism and Prejudice should not be here. We want intelligent comments and nof inferiority complexes looking for a victim. Usually a defenseless victim.

You can't possibly be speaking of Newsweak, which for many years now has been an absolute tool of the left-wing of the Democrat Party. They simply do whatever their masters at the DNC demand. Their editorial board is largely made up of left-wing zealots who hate America.

Is this the same Newsweak you are fawning over?

  • Posted By: Sarahh @ 09/17/2008 11:55:35 AM

Some people seem confused by some of the things I've said, so I thought I'd clarify

Racism: I am not racist and didn't say anything racist. There are members of my Pentecostal church who are racist, as no doubt there are in Palin's but the teachings aren't racist. I suspect the racism comes from. cultural history, not religion. We are deeply opposed to false doctrine, especially when it leads to evil, as it clearly has in the cases of Islam and the church of Rome. For example, Islam encourages violent Jihad and martyrdom. Rome sought political domination practiced violent Crusades and mass slaughter and torture and through the fallacy of confession and forgiveness encourages crime, as can clearly be seen by the Catholic criminal mobs. Both are rooted in Christianity but went astray under the influence of the devil.

Homosexuality. We do not hate homosexuals any more than we hate a person with antibiotic resistant TB. If a person ill ill it is right to love them, pray for them and donate money and time for their care. However if they form TB Rights groups and hold parades in which they cough on everyone and fight for the right to cough in theaters restaurants and schools we must fight for our right to the public space or flee to places like Wasillia,

THE ENTIRE PALIN THING IS JUST LIKE CLARENCE THOMAS. THE REPUBLICANS THOUGH THAT BLACKS WOULD DEFEND THOMAS JUST BECAUSE HE WAS BLACK. BUT WHEN BLACKS SAW WHAT HE STOOD FOR HE INSTANTLY BECAME ONE OF THE MOST DISLIKED IN HISTORY OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY. PALIN STANDS FOR NOTHING....NOTHING! THAT WOMEN HAVE FOUGHT FOR FOR DECADES. WOMEN SHOULD BE DEEPLY OFFENDED. SHE IS NOT HUTCHINSON, KENNEDY OR HRC. SHE IS ANOTHER LAYER OF GLASS, JUST PRETTIER.

JUST LOOK AT JOHN MCCAIN'S PATTERN.... CALLING 13 YEAR OLD CHELSEA CLINTON UGLY, JANET RENO A MAN, THOUGHT ONE OF HIS FOLLOWERS CALLING HILLARY THE B WORD WAS FUNNY BUT THE WORSE IS HIS ZERO RATING ON WOMEN'S RIGHTS. NOW HE MARCHES OUT PALIN-HILARIOUS- IF SARAH PALIN ISN'T A MANCHURIN CANDIDATE I DON'T KNOW WHO IS. A PRETTY FACE WITH NO HISTORY, WHO FALLS ON THE SCENE SO QUICK YOU CAN BARELY ACCURATELY SCRUTINIZE HER AND SHE'S BACKING UP A 72 YEAR OLD MAN WHO HAS FOUGHT CANCER 4 TIMES ALREADY..............................COME THE "F" ON.........

    • Posted By: vicenteduq @ 09/18/2008 5:00:36 AM

      Sirhc :

      You said :

"CALLING 13 YEAR OLD CHELSEA CLINTON UGLY"

As a child I said that a girl in the neighborhood was ugly.

My grandmother was furious and she said

"All girls are beautiful ..... We, very old women can understand that"

And Grandma added : "Whoever calls a girl ugly is a bad person ......or at least a fool ..... Be polite and do not criticize others ....."

Being tolerant and nice to all people was something that I was taught as a child.

Why the hell does anyone talk to Ferraro. She IS a sore loser. Geraldine Ferraro has 2 agendas: to make everyone who's not a woman look sexist, and to save some face over the rediculous stuff that has come out of her mouth in the past and is still coming out of her mouth. I'm not surprised she doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is, she's generally ignorant about everything. I'm sorry sweetums, but if you're running for president or vice-president, you should know all about the single most defining policy of this historically aweful presidency. But Palin was only chosen to get women's votes and to help McCain appeal to "low-information" (read: dumb) voters by reinforcing his maverick-y status, which long ago ceased to be justified. Ferraro's one useful asset is crying sexism for any woman like a general flak screen, but she's probably only doing it to draw more attention back onto herself to relive her glory days.

And as for Gibson being soft on Obama, apparently someone didn't watch the Democratic primary debates very well.

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 09/17/2008 2:23:51 PM

Ferraro got undeservedly trashed during the primaries by the Obama campaign. I don't think much of her either, but I try to cut her a little slack
