Sarahh- I forgot to include in my comments that since you hate gays so much, I hope that someday you will have a child who turns out to be gay. What will you do then? Hide him? You have sick mind..please get help.

I recognize that Catholics consider themselves to be Christians, but in my curch, as in most non-liberal protestant churches, we are taught since childhood that they are not. It is our history, it is why we exist.

It is what our sunday schools are fr. I was taught as a child of how Martin Luther nailed up his lists on the sins of the Catholics on the Church door, of how rich sinners were sold entry to heaven by priests, of how it supports those who are the most awful criminals can confess their sins and go back and commit more sins imagining that they will go to heaven if they confess, of how before the reformation the nunneries had become brothels and the priests enjoyed boys, and fat priests live off the labor of the people. Of how millions of god fearing people were slaughtered by the church when it was challenged. The Christians of whole regions were burned alive by the Church (look up Luberon) That is our teaching. That is why we fled to and built this country.

I've been doing research and it is clear that Sarah is fiercely anti-homosexual. She held prayer sessions to cure them and some of the books she was trying to have banned were those arguing that homosexuality is ok.

This is a big plus in my book. I'm confident she will fight to roll back the homosexual agenst and keep us from being exposed to them

Another point in favor of McCain /Palin it that it will ensure that Hillary is never president. She's have no chance against Sarah, she's just not as attractive to women or men and Hillary needs women's votes since so many people don't like her for good reason. ZSo we'd have a short period of McCain (and I think Sarah would actually be running things-- he's too old and weak) and then 8 years of Sarah.

And no Hillary. I don't like Sarah's lies but no one lies like Hillary

It sickens me so much to see this whole "Gender Bashing" happening in the media again against Gov. Palin. YES, GOV. PALIN. That's one thing that bothers me. Whenever you hear the media talk about her they always call her Sara Palin or Palin. Hardly ever do they address her as Gov. Palin. Whatever, your policital party acknowlege the fact of it. She worked very hard to get that title and the media should at least respect her enough to call her by that title. They call Barack Obama, Sen Obama every time. If they didnt I'm sure that they would have been acused of racism for not acknowledging him title.

Its sad that they really thought they (the media) could get away with treating her in such a shabby way and not get a backlash from it. Women, "All Women" were still angry from how Hillary was treated during the Primaries, and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Obama has dropped in the polls and despite all efforts from the National Barak Channel (NBC) to the Misleading Support of the National Barrak Channel (MSNBC) to even Karl Rove for Sen. Obama to stop focusing on Gov. Palin he cant help himself. And everyone knows why. It's because he sees what we all see. That Gov. Palin has that "It" factor. You cant explain it but you know it when you see it. You're drawn to it. When she first came on the scene you knew she was something to see and her looks have very little to do with it. It's her insights, her thoughts, the way she communicates. She makes you feel like home. Like she actually gives a damn about average people, because she is an average person. She's not just an example for American women but for Americans. She proves that hard work and sticking to your values will pay off. That family does matter and that hope is not just what you say but what you do after speaking. Dont just talk about the line, but walk it.

Sen Obama knows this. And she's getting into his head. He knows it because he use to be her. He use to have that it quality that thing that draws people to you. But, he let others change him to mess with him. He doesnt even recognize himself anymore but looking at Gov Palin he sees what he had what he had before he bought his own cover and believed his own celeberity. I cant fault him with all that hero worship from the media how can you not fall prey. But he is realizing that he is JUST A MAN.

The media will not get their interviews with Gov Palin. They cant even get the averager american on their side b/c they have lost ALL CREDIABLITY. And the more they try the more people see their true intentions and they are turned off and become more attracked to the Republicans. The Republicans will win because strangley enough, they have become the party of change. And you cant buy that no matter how much money you raise.

I was leaning toward Obama until the vice president nominees were picked. I'm actually convinced of the sincerity of Obama's Christian faith and have some doubts McCain's. However Sarah is a strong uncompromising Christian and Biden is a Catholic. We're actually at more danger at being taken over by Catholica than by Muslims. There more of them here, they breed like crazy and Kennedy etc have kept the floodgates from Mexicoopen When cathlics come into a neighborhood the mob isn't far behind. I don't want the Sopranos or the Irish Mafia in the Whitehouse.

However this lying stuff is bothering me. What happened to not bearing false witness? And Obama is healthy and after 8 years Biden will be too old. I sure don't want Biden president. It is a hard decision

I don't think Charlie Gibson was being sexist, although he was a bit snooty.

But do you know why?

It's because he was interviewing a candidate for the SECOND MOST POWERFUL OFFICE IN AMERICA! And he knew more about the issues than she did!

Have you ever (like Gibson) prepared for something where you had to rely on another person (Palin) and that person was ALL TALK and NO SUBSTANCE beyond the talking points? You start feeling like your time is being wasted and that you are being used.

Bottom line, Charlie put her in her place not because she's a woman but because she's an unprepared incompetent.

And did you see the Barack/O'Reilly interview? O'Reilly was MORE RUDE, MORE ANTAGONISTIC than Charlie Gibson, yet Barack answered all the questions, and even had O'Reilly agreeing with him on certain points.

We need people who bridge the gap between Dems and Republicans, not people who bridge gaps to nowhere at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars!

Go Obama/Biden!

There is a big difference between Geraldine Ferraro and Sarah Palin. One is a liberal, the other is a conservative, one is pro-choice, the other is pro-life. I do think the vp candidate has some effect on how people vote for President.

The ticket Geraldine Ferraro was on went down to defeat because it was very liberal and Ferraro was not a considered choice. She was forced onto the ticket by female harridans in the Democratic party. The ticket went down in flames. Good riddance to both Mondale & Ferraro. She is yesterday's news!

America rejected the liberal woman as vp but it just may embrace the conservative woman as vp. For the sake of this country, let us hope so!

As a Hillary supporter, I was dismayed by what I perceived to be anti-Hillary and sexist commentary by the fourth estate. I still believe she was treated unfairly by the media but I also think that women can be just as sexist. Many women will not vote for a female candidate because they believe politics is a man's job, are jealous of anothers accomplishments, are defensive of their own domesticity and believe women were meant to raise and nurture families. Why is it that Barack can capture over 90% of his demographic with a razor thin resume and women can't bring themselves to rally behind an experienced and qualified contender?

Here is another abusive and offensive person, signing on as Sarahh in this blog, she or he is now attacking catholics.

Attacking Joe Biden for being a Catholic, talking of Catholics being a worse danger than Muslims for the USA.. The Sarahh poster is equating the Catholics with the mob, the Sopranos, the Irish Mafia, the Kennnedys , and she or he is accusing the Catholics of being friends of Mexicans.

I am not a Catholic or a Black but I am deeply offended. I want what is best for America and for Newsweek.

I hope that a great intellectual magazine like Newsweek is not contaminated and pollutad by such filth and dirt, by such bigotry without intellect..

Newsweek has always been intelligent, rational, cultivated and cultured, educated; polished; refined.

Newsweek should not be a mud slinging and smear throwing machine.

By the way I think that the new offensive Sarahh is the same "Iris Bittencourt" that was preaching against Blacks and offending Blacks, presenting them as a threat to America. The Sarahh and Iris may be an adolescent male adopting female names.
