New RNC motto: Please help me, help you, clean up this mess we cause for eight years. Trust me. Really. Give us four more years to fix it. Trust me.

"Appropriately disciplined"? for tasing his 10 year old stepson? Okay, Obamalala!

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 09/17/2008 6:11:29 PM

It's not Mr. Obama's fault he's a redneck, and it's not his fault that she tried to have his job - then lied.

    Troopergate is just another symptom.
It is hysterical how the person, Elizabeth Drew, charge with writing the McCain story, went from admirer of the hero, to weary of the panderer.

It sickens most people how he's doing it. He's not a great man, or even a good man. He's the same as what we have now.

If you've observed politicians as long as I have, you know that they always attempt to block investigations when they are guilty. Otherwise, they let the investigation go, are exonerated, and use the results for political gain. I mean, look back at Bill Clinton or Richard Nixon. It's always the same. Therefore, Palin's actions and those of her handlers indicate she's guilty. But hey, in the world of George Bush, it's only a minor infraction, isn't it?

charlatans, one cannot keep from lying, a so called honorable man should fall upon his sword and commit hari-kari for his treason to his country; the only reason he owuld lie like this to me is that he is a closet racist and wiill do anything to keep a black man from the office, and she cannot tell the truth for fear of criminal investigation, lol, what a bunch of frauds the republicans set out for their people. kinda makes you wonder what is at the bare bones core of the party, that will accept the way bush cheny, etc now these tow act and behave,, the christian base seems more morally corrupt than any civilization ever to allow these and to feed upon righteousness like they do ,,,,lol

  • Posted By: mrcsbeau @ 09/17/2008 6:00:34 PM

seems criminal to me to even cinsider hiding now, what is so very wrong wiht this country that people might still vote for these two charlatans; first mccain lies on everything, and now this woman cannot tell the truth for fear of repurcussions, lol what kind of fools ahs the republican party foisted upon the world?

  • Posted By: keeptrying10 @ 09/17/2008 2:31:04 PM

"real" woman... Are you a fool. You and no one here has any idea as to whether she lied or what the real facts are. You know ZERO facts. You are classic. You do though see a qualified person with obama? Palin was mayor and governor, executive jobs. Obama has had NONE of this type of experience. That's quite a logical argument you make.

    • Posted By: Phoenix AZ @ 09/17/2008 2:56:48 PM

AND YOU DO? Why is your hero McCain protecting Sarah Palin since day 1? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that she doesn't quite add up.

You can spew out your beliefs on how wonderful and qualified Sarah Palin is and that's your right. This is directly from Alaska where her approval rate is 80% amoung 1/2 a million people. Personally I think some of those small town people are AFRAID of losing their jobs for fear of the wrath of their Governor!

      Take a look: http://www.adn.com/opinion/story/520272.html

I and others on these posts just want answers and so do people in Alaska. We have a right to know the facts before we vote, don't you think? To vote for someone, anyone, who is under investingation IS DOWNRIGHT IGNORANT and foolish.

As for B. Obama, no one is saying he's perfect but compared to McCain/Palin there's no contest. You might want to do an online search about his bad temper... there's plenty. I hope, if he's elected, it doesn't put us into another war.

      • Posted By: valark @ 09/17/2008 3:08:03 PM

What is ignorant and foolish is that you don't know that Palin brought the ethics investigation against herself. Stop quoting opinion columns as facts.

        • Posted By: Phoenix AZ @ 09/17/2008 5:56:00 PM

What?! I never said she didn't! I am saying, however, that she is not cooperating with this investigation and that John McCain is working on stopping it, you silly little person.

  • Posted By: keeptrying10 @ 09/17/2008 3:37:56 PM

    It's still spin and lies.,,

aaahhh, do you see what happens when you put the brakes on dems spewing their misery?? They can't take it. Everybody should be miserable like them. Not me pals, or many other folks. You quote the employed rate of 94-95% and it's still a spin and lie. UNREAL. I'm sorry, some rocket scientist said to subtract the people who gave up on getting a job. Brrrilliant. DEMS, WE DON'T WANT YOUR MISERY. You were miserable with clinton, and will be miserable no matter who is your pres. 95% EMPLOYED, STAY TOGETHER AND FIGHT THE MISERABLE DEMS. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE MISERABLE. They can't even accept the unemployment rate, or know how it's calculated. WOMEN DON'T LET WOMEN VOTE DEMOCRAT (i'm not a woman, but my dem neighbor is now that he got his operation)

    • Posted By: naenae @ 09/17/2008 5:49:16 PM

Actually it's closer to 94% than 95. However, it's been much lower than that before. In addition, everyone in the lower and middle class working hard for a living are "effectively" making a lot less than they did even just a couple of years ago. Prices on everthing have risen, but wages by comparison have remained fairly stagnant. To put it in layman's terms so your feeble brain can wrap around it, everyone is getting way less bang for their buck and aren't getting any more bucks to make up for it. In fact, we're only getting banged.

John McCain is working very hard to give the impression that Sarah Palin's crooked as a dog's leg. Can't say I'm surprised at the coverup attempt. That was as predictable as the Reichstag fire. Love the prop of "Tasergate" above. Very creative. McCain is a failure. McBarbie was a dazzling stunt, but the American people are running from her.

Regarding John McCain slamming Barack Obama about his "Hollywood Fundraiser"... Here are of few of John McCain's 'Celebrity Fundraisers" What's with him anyway?

    August 25th, 2008 11:52 PM Eastern
McCain meets GOP Hollywood at fundraiser
    by Mosheh Oinounou
BEVERLY HILLS, CA ??? McCain attended a fundraiser at the Beverly Hills Hilton Monday night, which included a number of Hollywood Republicans, capping off a $4.7 million, two-event day in the Golden State

The presumptive GOP nominee made little in the way of news in his remarks though he joked about his afternoon taping at the Tonight Show.

???I just came from taping the Jay Leno show so those of you that are up late tonight and don???t wish to watch any re-runs of the Democratic convention,??? McCain said to laughter from the nearly 1,200 donors in the hotel ballroom. ???So naturally we had to have a few age jokes and I told him that my Social Security number is 8. I am that old.???

Her voice is really annoying, and when she's lying she keeps her mouth open and looks down. Annoying.

Obviously Palin has a lot of dirty laundry that she wants to hide. To me this is bad, but not as bad as using private e-mail to conduct state business. I wonder what other dark secrets are buried there?

As a Republican (albeit moderate) and Alaskan resident, I am simply disgusted by what is going on here. I used to hold McCain in high regard because of what I believed to be a commitment to integrity and ethics in Government. I supported Palin for the same reasons particularly after she took on the Republican establishment in Alaska. I am a believer in ethics and integrity over party affiliation. However, what I see now is a campaign that will say anything without regard for the truth and do anything to obstruct legitimate inquiry into the reasons surrounding Palin's dismissal of the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety. The nation needs to pay attention to the circus now going on here in Alaska. Palin now has "new" reasons for firing the Commissioner, four or five Republican legislators have filed suit to stop a legislative inquiry they originally supported, and State employees are refusing to honor subpoenas issued by the legislature (certainly at the direction of the McCain and Palin camp). McCain and Palin have become the people they have complained about. I am ashamed to be a Republican. Changing myaffiliation to independent later today.

Lets see, do we really need another republican White House member who think they car above the law. Cut out of the Buch/Cheney cloth.

  • Posted By: mhenauer @ 09/17/2008 5:23:50 PM

This is outrageous. Let's put the fox to take care of the hen house.
And she does sound a lot like George Bush talking about Sadam Hussein "he tried to kill my daddy"...

Lets see another potential Republican White House member who thinks they should be above the law. Cut out of the Bush/Cheney cloth.

For those who desperately want a fascist like Palin to succeed, I sugggest they look closely at the things she has been saying. She is worst than Dan Quayle and more dangerous the George W. She is nothing more than an empty vessel that neo-cons (fascists) can pour their filth into as they seek to maintain control of a country they are ruining. Republicans screwed this place up for the last 8 years and now they want you to give them another chance to clean up theire own mess? Give me a break! This would be the "fool me twice" era if they get elected.

    • Posted By: kshortSD @ 09/17/2008 5:14:53 PM

How dare you put her down! I am so offended that you would be so SEXIST with your remarks...just because she's female you think you can criticize her record and scrutinize her experience...oh, I can't do it. I'm laughing too hard...that was fun...

  • Posted By: maq1 @ 09/17/2008 5:10:14 PM

Republican cronyism needs to be brought to an end. I'm a fiscal and social conservative so i know that the idea of accountability is central to the idea of conservatism. The current republican party needs to be held accountable. They are not my GOP - the GOP of Reagan and Bush I. These women and men are a bunch of cronies. Throw the bums out. Maybe after sitting on the sidelines theyll get their act together again.

  • Posted By: keeptrying10 @ 09/17/2008 2:24:13 PM

So I'm wrong?? 95% of Americans are not employed? I'm quite the spin doctor! Of that 5%, many, not all, are lazy slobs not interested in working. I would love more of the same. With all of the freedoms and opportunities I have been presented in the US, I did something with it. I have a beautiful EVERYTHING. If dems were smart, they would associate with me, not your type. Think about that...95% have a job. You want a real cause to help people, help this 95% of productive working people to keep more of their money, less taxes. Now that is a useful cause, but then again, you don't really care about people, just useless causes like gay rights, global warming, etc.

    • Posted By: kshortSD @ 09/17/2008 3:04:59 PM

did you really write that gay rights and global warming are useless causes??? Wow...I don't want to live in your world...

And, So, My Friends, I Have Decided Not To Run For President in 2008...

    Washington Post:

    McCain, September 19:

"'This is not a time for political opportunism,' McCain said. 'This is a time for leadership.'"

What else can one say but--I'm speechless.
