The water is getting hot in Palin's corner, now she wants nothing to do with her mess and transfers it to others to take care of it. Typical of slime and sleeze, people who think they can walk over others and walk away from it all. Disgusting, I say, first she uses public money to take care of it, then when it gets too messy and out of control, she decides to use her own money to protect herself from her own mess. How dishonest and dishonorable is that? She pretends to be a reformer when she is a destroyer. She' s a liar and a thief who thinks she can get away with anything and then when it is found out, she denies visible facts as untrue, turns the story around in her favour and claims it as something else. Talk about a slimey person.

SHOULD He Stop Troopergate? is the real question. The panel that originally recommended the investigation was comprised of 4 Democrats and 8 Republicans, all of whom were acting in the interest of their constituents. Now John McCain and his "Country First" lawyers are on the job- and who pays them again? Where does there loyalty lie?

In the words of Dick Cheney, "If she's got nothing to hide, she's got nothing to worry about."

Yep, it looks 4 more years of the same old sh*t.

Nobody cares about Troopergate. I could care less if she abused her power. SHE HAS POWER and knows how to use it to bring about positive change.

Good for her. If she fired him he deserved it! Sarah and Troopergate is a smokescreen. You democrats will lose if you keep focusing on this. Morons!

      • Posted By: StrongArm @ 09/17/2008 3:44:05 PM

Wow you don't care about Troopergate!!!, ....it's ok to abuse one's power while in office?!?!?!? Probably why you blindly follow Bush, McCain and Palin!!! you are an idiot!! Anyone who abuses their power while is a piece of garbage! The truth is, Rebuplican's don't have any issues to talk about, so distraction is the key to victory. Lipstick, Rockstar crap, are all used to drive a wedge between people. Please, if you vote for McCain/Palin, be sure to whack off your nose and superglue it to your face, so we all know who you voted for!! I hope McCain involvement with the Keating 5 comes to light, because the same deregulation of the failed Savings and Loan scandal of which J. McCain was part of, should be looked at by all. He fumbled through that situation and fumbled yesterday for the 22nd time stating that our F'N economy is strong!!!

        Trader

On the contrary, Palin is supposed to represent CHANGE, the more that comes out about the lobbyist connections, the secrets, the abuse of power, and abortion rights, the more the people will see that she is just trojan horse. She has the good ol' boy mentatlity but wears a dress.

Changing things around to make the ex brother in law is classic. I have seen a few of my friends get set up in the same fashion. In their cases the WIVES called the police to show a 'record' that their husbands were abusive. When the police get their the wives looked totally out of control and the husbands looked shocked. Soon after the divorce papers came and the wives accuse the husbands of being violent and should not see the kids (just pay them child support). No history of violence except before the divorce.

Republicans tried to take things out of context by leaving out that the boy at requested to know what a taser felt like, so the officer used a training taser gun and the family was around the boy laughing. The boy thought is was fun and wanted to try it again. Now they are outraged (for the sake of the divorce).

The family also took things out of context by leaving out that the wife 'asked' him to kill the moose because she couldn't. I guess he could have told her no, but we don't know what was going on at the time. What we do know is that the 'family' had no problem eating that moose.

Blind following like yours noted above is what got us into the troubles we're into right now. Sure deregulation looks great on paper...until taxpayers end up saving the businesses that weren't properly regulated.

Are you taking about the 95% of Americans who are employed. That miserable group? With such lack of effort in life, many should be lucky to have any job. I'll take more of the same. Life is good! Good for you too if you didn't rely on the govt for your happiness and welfare. Stay on the offensive against terrorist countries and terrorist. I'll take more of that too. I know, I'm just arguing with paid Dem operatives, terrorist and useless celelbs..just can't help myself.

Wow, your lack of compassion is shocking. Every man for himself? You are the one who sounds miserable. Admit it. You are.

      Now that - was spin.
That was incredibly short-sighted of you.
      Yep. More of the same.

Dad... are you off your meds again? Mom and the doctor told you

How you can deny that terrorists support dems is mind boggling. Do 10 seconds of research, or go back to your register.. Yes, you're dad hated you, because you were a slacker, which is why you became a democrat.

    • Posted By: soarl @ 09/17/2008 3:37:54 PM

Are you implying that all Democrats aren't hard working Americans? Democrats are some of the hardest working American's I know. That would be like em saying Republican's just prefer to take the credit for other people's hard work then pass the buck if stuff goes south.

      What total ignorance!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: Donna1000 @ 09/17/2008 10:10:30 AM

The trooper threatened to kill members of Sarah Palin's family. I'm not going to get too upset over her response to that threat. Conversely, the thought of Obama's friend, Bill Ayers, who tried to blow up the U.S. Capitol Building, sleeping in the Lincoln Bedroom does upset me.

    • Posted By: usliberal @ 09/17/2008 11:15:06 AM

It's not about what the trooper did, see? He broke the rules and was punished for it within the State's system. THEN he had a nasty divorce from Palin's sister. THEN she tried to make the trooper's boss fire the trooper. When he refused, Palin fired the Trooper's boss. Learn the facts, or you're just a lazy, ignorant fool begging to be led around by your nose.

Nothing like Big Government sticking their nose into other people's business. I thought the Republicans liked LESS government...

      • Posted By: Donna1000 @ 09/17/2008 3:32:10 PM

You sound like a pretty angry person. BTW, I'm still not bothered that Sarah Palin tried to protect her family and I'm still bothered that Barack Obama has a long-term friendship and financial relationship with a terrorist who tried to blow up the U.S. Capitol Building. I don't know where you are from, but where I am from it is OK to protect your family and it is not OK to maintain long-term friendships and financial relationships with terrorists.

EVERYONE, REMEMBER KARL ROVE REFUSING DOING THE SAME THING. REMEMBER BUSH AND CHENEY WITH THE 911 INQUIRY,REMEMBER CHARLES KEATING AND JOHN MCCAIN NOW GOV PALIN IS EVOKING THE SAME PRIVELGES. AND SHE WANT TO MAKE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BELIEVE SO IS A REFORMER. I BEG YOU TO LOOK AT THE FACTS.. IT DID TAKE HER LONG TO ADJUST TO THE REPUBLICAN LIES AND BULLSH*T, BUT THEN THE APPLE DOESNT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: valark @ 09/17/2008 3:23:07 PM

You forgot Biden, Clinton, etc....until you stop making it a party issue and making it an actual ethical and justice issue, the country will always be in a decline. You want to win so much, you lie and obscure things to make it so one side seems better. Both sides have ethics issues, both sides lie, both sides favor the rich and lobbyists. The President doesn't control the country, we have a system of checks and balances. You sit there and scream about some undecided ethical issue but probably put the same House and Senate members in office to rubber stamp Bush, Clinton, etc. If you want change, make it. But don't make one party better than the other, this isn't a football game.

      • Posted By: piinalu @ 09/17/2008 3:28:41 PM

Careful... a lot of people will hate you for being the smartest person in class.

Something is rotten in the state of Alaska.... and it is Sarah Palin. Oh so sweet and attractive but beneath lies the real evil. Sarah and John McCain talk about open government and transparency. Why can't they walk the walk? Instead of Sarah being open about Troopergate, Johnny-boy sends some slick lawyers up to Alaska to try to clean up the mess. This is like the Exxon Valdez of politics. McCain/Palin are a joke and will ruin this country if elected.

  • Posted By: pinpin1 @ 09/17/2008 3:21:32 PM

Aren't you clear yet on the true persona of Sarah Palin? From the time she was mayor, she showed autocratic and egotistic tendencies. I would like to see an Obama TV ad, viz., "Palin and Troopergate: (1) Palin photo, "I have nothing to hide and will cooperate fully with the investigation". (2) "Sorry, too busy now as the mouthpiece of McCain and will no longer cooperate". (3) "I'll leave it to my partisans to block the investigation because it's ttainted." Guilty or not guilty? You decide!

  • Posted By: Space Ghost @ 09/17/2008 3:21:11 PM

This is typical Republican stupidity; she initiates the investigation; then when it proceeds to uncover the truth she wants it ended. Is there no end to the depth of their dishonesty and arrogance-JM1843

  • Posted By: Alongwayback @ 09/17/2008 1:31:55 PM

It is not a matter of hating Republicans, it is more a matter of being tired of the lies, tired of the corruption, tired of the abuses of power, and damned tired of watching our sons and daughters die for the lies of the current administration. The current Republican Party candidates are doing the same exact thing as the current in an effort to get elected and they call it "Change". Come on, just how much of this should we as American citizens put up with? Did I neglect to mention the fact that only the top 5% of this country has benefitted from eight years of Republican rule? So if you belong to the remaining 95% of this nation, which has been very adversely affected by the Republican rule of the last eight years, do me a favor and vote these idiots out or spare me your sorry defense of them!!

    • Posted By: valark @ 09/17/2008 3:19:06 PM

Where is this 5% rule? You just spew what you hear, you aren't processing facts or even your own opinion. So what would you have done regardless? Take money from the upper 5% of the country and give it to the 95% who have less? Socialism 101.

    • Posted By: republicans r the airpit of the world @ 09/17/2008 3:15:57 PM

Here are the facts. Republicans don't like facts. They are uneducated, bigoted, self-serving, loathsome, fearmongering, hypocritical sub-human knuckle dragging mouth breathers. They serve no purpose in society and like the Nazis their party should be abolished and outlawed. The youth vote is coming and will destroy the corporate media's "polls". Democrats out number the republicans. With the youth vote we won't need the independents or fickle voters. This one is in the bag. Caribou Barbie and Grampa Goiter are the laughing stock on the world stage...I'm sure Caribou Barbie can see the Russians laughing. She can see them from Alaska. Find your rocks Repukes, you'll be climbing back under them again very soon.

Nice company you dems keep. Talk about a useful topic for once. You deserve to get blown up if you back hussein obama. You're safe though. Americans aren't that dumb to vote him in. We prefer someone with at least a little bit of experience.

  • Posted By: muze @ 09/17/2008 2:45:29 PM

why shut down the investigation if there is nothing to be afraid of? I would get on with it and prove her innocent. of charges. I guess she she really is guilty of using her public office to settle a private score.

  • Posted By: keeptrying10 @ 09/17/2008 2:17:58 PM

The great part is. The more you attack, the bigger the landslide for McCain/Palin. I encourage this discussion. Sorry you woman dems can't embrace a successful woman.. The real women of America admire Palin, and will be making her your next Vice President. Get over it. You have a huge opportunity to support a woman dem woman, but no, you will support hussein obama. What the hell happened to you in life? Who wronged you? Let me guess, your dad, a bofrience, a boss. Patheric whiners

    • Posted By: piinalu @ 09/17/2008 2:42:37 PM

For the sake of space, I'll just refer to the other post about going off your meds... Do you really think your comments on this issue are going to change anyone's vote? If so, then you really are unhinged. Entertaining at times, in that village idiot sort of way, but ultimately just the guy that everyone wishes would be quiet so the serious people can talk.

    • Posted By: Phoenix AZ @ 09/17/2008 2:24:42 PM

"real" woman? How do you define that. I'm a woman and in my home and in any area I do not accept lying. These are not little fibs we are talking about on these posts. There are big lies being told. As a "real" woman as I listen to and read about Sarah Palin, I don't see a qualified person. I am looking beyond gender and color. Yes I would be happy to see a female in office, but not this one.

Comment: "To PhoenixAz: Thank God the Democrats are pristine! Are you a transplant from Chicago?"

No, from the Detroit area. So what's "your" (spelled correctly) point? Maybe you can answer why McCain is blocking Sarah Palin's investigation. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to lose.

  • Posted By: Concerned voted @ 09/17/2008 2:29:13 PM

If there is nothing to hide, why are the Republicans so very intent on giving the impression there is? Certainly the ethics of a public official who would use his/her office to further a personal issue is relevant to this campaign and the issue of trust. I expect this attempt to circumvent the investigation falls flat. It certainly shows a great disrespect for the American electorate.

Check this out. info from Alaskans and what they think about this coverup by McCain. Why would he appoint anyone under ethics investigation? Sounds pretty guilty to me. What does Palin have to hide? Blame it on Obama and the news media. Ya right!!!!!!!
