THREE REPUBLICANS on the panel. Completely false. Do your homework. It's a useless attack on a perfectly upstanding white American woman. You should be ashamed, even though you're probably writing this from Syria.. We are not talking about confirmed adulterers, MLK, Jesse Jackson, Bill Cosby and those types. I think to of them are "reverends". Nice!

It seems people like you always keep this type of thing going. Strange how you really can't see it. This type of ugly post doesn't do anything to help America. It's show our great ignorance in all things fair.

Also strange how he made a list of cheating Blacks, and ignored all the high profile White cheaters in recent politcal memory. No Giuliani, no Edwards. That tells you all you need to know about this guy. I guess that's what he means by "those types"!

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 09/17/2008 2:20:33 PM

Without a doubt. But he'll spin it to you being a bigot instead.

As reported by ALL media EXCEPT FOX news, the panel in Alaska looking into Troopergate is made up of 3 Republicans and 2 Democrats!! You are in denial!!

    • Posted By: StrongArm @ 09/17/2008 11:47:56 AM

Wow, it's funny that only black men made your list.......it was probably a SLIP on your part that you left out........JOHN McCAIN ya hipocrite!! McCain took up with Cindy when she was 26 and he was 42, and he was still married while taking up temporary residence with Cindy, while dumping his ill wife! Are you racist or just a HIPOCRITE????

    • Posted By: BobbyNY @ 09/17/2008 11:41:22 AM

Were all the adulturous US presidents black? No they were, as you will say "white". Just think about it....they were in office when they committed their deeds. Do some research, you will find, as celebrated as they were...they too had faults.

Palin is a corrupt politician with a nice smile...she needs to clean herself up first...if she plans to clean up Washington...McCain and his lawyers covered up Cindy McCain???s drug addiction scandal and now he is trying to cover up Sarah Palin abuse of power scandals...This woman should not be a VP Candidate...she is a crook that used her power to get away with everything but murder...this woman should not be anywhere near the power given the President or VP of the United States...What is this woman hiding?...People in Alaska are even anti-Palin...McCain has insulted Americans with this nomination...Palin should be insisting on the investigation if she is innocent...but it looks like she is not innocent...when is she going to stop lying...?

If we Americans could have known about the governing methods, behaviors and philosophies of George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney before we selected them in 2000, would we have elected them? Maybe so, maybe not, but at least we would have been fully informed in 2000, and possibly have avoided the partisan stupidity in which we Americans engaged by electing them again in 2004.

Today, certain groups in the Republican party, whose members just happen to have been many of the same support staff under George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney in 2000/04, have become obstacles to an Alaska investigation that may or may not tell us something very important about the person who could conceivably be our next Vice President, and possibly our President.

What???s wrong with us? Are we really Americans, or just pretend Americans? Shouldn???t we, Democrats, Republicans, Independents and members of other parties, rise up to demand that the operatives in Alaska, no matter what their partisan stripes, get out of the way of this investigation? If McCain or Obama or Biden were being investigated right now for misusing their power as Senators, wouldn???t we demand the investigation be completed before the election? Let???s demand that we get the facts about this possible Vice President???s governing style well before we have to decide to choose or not to choose her! Forget your party, forget you pro choice/life stances, and forget your various bottom-line isms for moment! Think about America, what???s best for America, what America needs now!

Only the top 5% of this nation has profited under the Bush administration, the remaining 95% have suffered miserably under this same administration. Now, unless you belong to the top 5% of this nation, you are clearly voting against your own best interest. Oh, by the way, did I also forget to mention the fact that even more of your paycheck is now going to be taken to pay for these recent announcements of financial bail-outs? This was under whom's watch? Republicans have proven over and over again during the last eight years that they care for no one but the rich, the proof is in the pudding. S, again, how can you vote against your own best interest, because that is in fact what you are doing, unless you are rich or of the top 5% of this nation. In which case, I think you have better things to do than display your ignorance of the actual issues that actually effect the rest of us in this country. "McCain/Palin--Two bridges to nowhere" "John McCain has been consistent--Consistently for the rich"

    • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/17/2008 1:54:00 PM

Got any support for the 95% number of Americans that have suffered miserably for the last eight years?

Yep, four years ago, when virtually all of America was suffering miserably, they reelected George Bush!

Whether she did it for family reasons or not, that does not make it right or even lawful now does it? "Ignorance of the law is no excuse", are we now to pardon poor Sarah for ignorance of the laws she has sworn to uphold by taking public office? No one is above the law in this country, so why should we allow her to be? If you or I did anything illegal and caught up in it, the judge would tell you to your face, regardless of the fact that you did it in an effort or on behalf of your family, what you did by using the power of your public office against an individual is in and opf itself wrong. Like I said, a judge would also tell you that ignorance of the law is no excuse to break it, especially when you are sworn to uphold it. Where now would public trust be if we could break laws and abuse power simply because a family member was hurting? That being the case, where is the abuse of power to help those who have lost family members in Iraq, after all, they are hurting too, where is their advocate?

  • Posted By: Alongwayback @ 09/17/2008 11:41:07 AM

Again I say, if the McCain/Palin camp continue to block this investigation, they need to have Sarah remove her name from the ticket until she can get her affairs in order. If I or anyone else in this country were applying for a lesser job, we would be required to do the same before anyone would hire us. You can't even join our nations military without having your affairs in order, so explain to me please why she should be allowed to circumvent the laws of this nation, you and I can't? Does running for the vice-presidency allow you to be above the law?

    • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/17/2008 1:47:12 PM

Glad you have spoken! Wow.... I'm sure she'll step down now... you have her tried and convicted by your own personal court.

It's pretty simple, really. If you've already got health insurance, vote McCain, though you may not be able to afford it much longer. If you're house isn't in or near foreclosure, vote McCain. if you don't have a house, vote for McCain who maybe will give you one of his, if he can remember how many he has. If you like billions of dollars in tax breaks for the people who have most benefitted from the opportunities our country affords, trusting they will trickle some of it down to the rest of us, vote for McCain. If you like the way things have been going for the last 8 years, vote for McCain. If you don't mind your sons and daughters being sent to fight in wars where we never should be, vote for McCain. If you don't mind a totally unprepared person being a heart beat away from the Presidency, vote for McCain. if you don't care about the environment or making any real progress on the development of new sources of clean, renewable energy, vote for McCain. If you don't care about having someone who is truly going to tell it straight and not lie to you, vote for McCain. But if you are tired of all of this, if you think we can't afford four more years of this, we have to give someone a chance to do something about these things. Obama has the wisdom, intelligence, experience and temperment to bring real and needed change to our hurting country. He has proven himself if anyone has truly listened to him. He is addressing the real issues that should matter most to us and future generations. It is simple, really. But I have never underestimated the knack we Americans have for voting against our own best interests.

Exxon paid 10 BILLION 500+ MILLION in taxes. You Democrats like spreading lies about companies not paying their fair share. They paid HALF their profits in taxes, their ticker symbol is XOM go look up their income statement, its a publicly traded company and that info is available for ALL TO SEE.

If you work hard and want to KEEP YOUR MONEY for yourself and your family vote Mc Cain.

If you are a poor loser who flunked out of school and wants government welfare vote Obama.
If you believe Government is the reason you bought a house you couldn't afford from your small salary and now are being foreclosed on and its BUSH'S fault and not your own vote for Obama.

      Democrats are MORONS.

        Trader

Exxon's 'quarterly' profits could buy Ford outright and could buy GM almost twice over and all you see is taxes.

McCain sits and calls you poor and your are bragging about it .

  • Posted By: Alongwayback @ 09/17/2008 1:22:20 PM

If the truth is all you have and is all that you know, it should not hurt you to share it with everyone. The truth will set you free if your as you say innocent, but it will also bury you if you are in fact guilty. Which is Sarah Palin? Allow it to be proven or demand she drop out of the race. No one is above the law and the last time I looked, what the McCain campaign is doing can actually be viewed as obstruction of justice should she be found guilty.

    • Posted By: valark @ 09/17/2008 1:27:40 PM

Are you serious? This is an ethical inquiry to a Governor who is now a VP nominee. You think this is some Jimmy Stewart movie? Fillabuster on the Senate floor and the truth will come out because all men are good?

Why can't she be not guilty until she is proven such? Why do you need her to be guilty so badly and hide it under the guise of truth and freedom and honesty?

      • Posted By: Miller69 @ 09/17/2008 1:44:36 PM

lets be real if someone try to hurt your family member you are going to use what ever power you have to defend them. That is what she did. She just thought her power was strong enough to get away with it. Make no mistake this investigation was going on BEFORE she was nominated for VP.

      • Posted By: Miller69 @ 09/17/2008 1:41:08 PM

This investigation was going on before she became a nominee for VP. And everyone lets be real. If someonone was mis treating your family member and you had the power to do something about it you would do it. She did it she just thought her power was strong enough to get away with it.

Our kids are dying everyday in a foreign country for what amounts to nothing more than the ability of some of us to make profits, nothing more, nothing less. Why would we want to continue supporting this madness? If you are in the top 5% of this nation, by all means, continue to act as if nothing is wrong. If you are in the lower 95% of this country, vote in your bst interests. Broken down quite simply, if you are rich and better off than you were eight years ago, have no children dying in the name of profits and you have no home forclosure to worry about, vote for the Republican candidates. If you are like the rest of us and you have concerns of how much longer you will actually own your home, have children currently deployed in Iraq, can't buy the same things today that you could afford even a few months ago, have problems with all of these bail-outs, wonder why no one is bailing you out, then vote for anyone but the Republican candidates, as voting for them would be the same as voting against your own interest. They have already proven for eight years that they don't care about you, what more do you really need?

Her getting a lawyer is one thing, but to attempt to block the investigation altoghether is quite another, unless you truly have something to hide, I do not understand the latter move, do you?

Old MacDonald is a HAS-BEEN with a monkey-mom in lipstick who is dodging an investigation regarding her ethics in a position of authority. They now want to delay it until after the election, why? Because McCain did not vet her closely. No, we want to know ASAP.

  • Posted By: valark @ 09/17/2008 1:31:15 PM

Okay, I give up, name one political leader who when presented with a similar situation did not lawyer up. Since she is doing something so unnatural, it should be easy for you to find someone who has had an ethics violation and didn't use a lawyer.

More facist Republican BS attempting to suppress a public hearing. McCain insiders have reviewed the emails and there is no case. Right. I really trust Republican insiders and attorneys. If you believe this, I have a bridge to Nowhere, AK for sale....

    • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/17/2008 8:15:19 AM

Troopergate is about as significant as the Obama -Tony Rezko thing, but you won't see your buddies in the MSM show any interest in that. And of course, that little item is off limits to you as well.

And I really trust the throng of paid Obama people in Alaska to destroy Palin!

      • Posted By: jaymiller @ 09/17/2008 8:44:53 AM

What election are you watching? Perhaps the reason people don't talk about that any more is that is was played out over and over during the primaries!

Obama had a press conference to address Rezko where he took question after question. If Palin wants this to go away, she should do the same. But McCain's handlers won't let the media near her.

        • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/17/2008 9:47:04 AM

The same one you are. The reason you never hear of it anymore is because Obama's simple answer of "it was a mistake", was more than enough tor the MSM. End of story. If Palin said that, does she get an end of story, too?

          Yeah... that'll happen.

          • Posted By: jaymiller @ 09/17/2008 11:18:02 AM

Obama's simple answer of acknowledging a mistake was more than enough for EVERYONE because he took the questions and answered them. THAT is what ends the story. Do you really think that stonewalling an investigation and refusing to take questions is the way to kill public interest in it?

            • Posted By: Pallisor @ 09/17/2008 1:29:19 PM

Wrong. Not everyone. Not even close. Obama had more than a 20 -year relationship with convicted political fixer as his political patron and personal real estate fairy. "It was a mistake"?

And where do you get that Palin's stonewalling? Because she hasn't snapped-too as you and the rest of Obama fans demand her to? The issue will be addressed in a court of law, not the court of Obama.

    • Posted By: hp32970c @ 09/17/2008 8:45:27 AM

If there's no case, why doesn't she cooperate and clear her name? What b.s.! If there was no wrong doing they would not be trying to bury it.
