This is disgusting and dishonest. This gung-ho attempt to stop the investigation certainly makes Palin look more guilty than ever. Otherwise, they would just let the investigation run its course.

Here we go again, a secret group that is above the law and if they have money can avoid being held accountable... just think what will happen if they make it to the whitehouse......

sorry abt the misspellings---the claim is so hypocritical I thought it was some type of joke. As the Republicans said when queried about wiretapping Americans--"If you're not guilty, why would you worry?" The party that has shredded the Constitution for 8 years and set a standard for keeping us all in the dark is AFRaid to let something THIS simple out? kinda begs the question about what else is out there....

are they kidding? blocka state investigation? the people who say communities should be allowed to hadle their own problem? Was this article based on reporting in The Onion? Is it executive privilege when you order yourself not to testify?--this one boggles the mind...the law and order crowd afraid of a transparfent court process? Can they see Gitmo from Alaska?

Elect John McPalin so he can go to Washington and reform all of the bad policies he and his Republican pals gave us. It makes perfect sense doesn't it? Hey, he has a clueless running mate too. She's going to help reform all the stuff she knows nothing about. Perfect ticket. At least James Dobson, Ralph Reed, and Pat Robertson will be happy. They have nothing but America's best interests in mind.

This smacks too much of the Bush Administration. It is not in the best interest of the country to stop this investigation.

He said he safely used the taser on his son at the boy's request. I don't agree with tasering anyone but you hunters sould understand the man's mentalilty better than anyone. You can't wait to have your son on that first hunt with you with his new gun. Kids can ask for the darnist things. Maybe he had one beer too many and just gave in but I for one believe he wasn't trying to hurt his son. I won't do it to mine so you don't have to ask.

If she's so innocent, why the stonewalling and big guns? Looks like a lot of dirty, backroom manipulation of the legal system to me. Who wants this tainted babe in the White House? Not me!

Ms. Palin is ill equipped to deal with matters of national security. Can any of us imagine "the wrath of a women spuned" , especially when "that women" takes on issues that are not even hers - but her sister's? This person is a very scary prospect.

The American public has, over the years, been subjected to an abysmal amount of dirty politics. There are MANY of us...more than you can imagine....who draw the line at "dirty" candidates. Sarah Palin has had her fifteen minutes of fame. She needs to go back to Alaska now and straighten up her public and private affairs ......we have grown weary of her sideshows.

The debate isn't the guilt of Wooten, its the guilt of Palin. the perception that she's a regular person only works if she's not circumventing the process which now seems clear she did. In the eyes of this liberal - she's guilty by virtue of the rush by the republicans to quash this.
Messy messy messy. Sure the pubs will have the bux to stop this and divert it and the attention to it, but the damage was already done. Down with Palin!

Something smells here. Why not let the facts out and have an honest decision. Thre Republicans when they went after Clinton were anything but unbiased and proud of it.

Assume that the investigation will be done right or assume that McCain wants another Cheney for vise president.

The jackass ex-brother -in-law tasered a 10 year old-and his boss wouldn't can him. What more do you need to know?

...guess it is because the mother waited two years, until she was going through a divorce to report the incident.

From all that I can gather about this case, which isn't much, it really does seem like she did anything terribly out of order. I think it's VERY suspicious that O'Callaghan lef t the Justice department to work on the McCain campaign and just so happened to be involved in an ethics debate, but come on... It's one of Bush's DoJ people, so who's going to trust him anyway?
Anyway, there are plenty of reasons to dislike Palin... PLEASE don't vote for McCain because you want to have a beer with the Vice President. Vote however you will, but I'M BEGGING YOU America, vote for the right reasons.

This sounds like a classic cover up by the republicans once again, When will these right wing morons get it that preaching morality and ethics has to be practiced as well as preached.
Palin probably has a lot of dirt that she wants hidden. The McCain camp would never send in the big guns like they have if there wasn't some truth about her abuse of her position.
I just hope that the courts are more for America then corrupt politicans.

  • Posted By: hmoo11 @ 09/16/2008 9:50:52 PM

Sorry McCain, Its too late to stop the train. She is totally damaged goods and not VP material. Too many lies and too much baggage. You should have made a decision worthy of someone competent to be President of the United States. Your only hope are blind christians and racists.

  • Posted By: darkclouds55 @ 09/16/2008 9:41:27 PM

These are the same people who are going to shake up the corrupt government establishment for us, right?
The "straight talk" express? I used to at least respect Mccain even if I didn't agree with him. Those days are gone. A wise person once said, "what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his soul?" The Mccain I thought I knew is gone.

John McCain and Cindy cheat while he is still married to his first wife. He then divorces her and marries Cindy.
Sarah Palin gives birth to Track just eight short months (plus or minus) after she marries the first dude.
Bristol Palin turns up pregnant at 17 years of age.
Sarah Palin abuses her position in troopergate.
    Stellar moral compasses, aren't they?

This "consulting" by O'callaghan for Van Flein all of a sudden has the smell of a coverup in the making. If indeed Governor Palin has absolutely nothing to hide then let's hear it now. What's the reason for the delay?
