        Yes he did just like a lot of other Republican and democrats that were fooled by the bush administration. The problem is now most people can now see that the Iraq war was a huge mistake and a down right lie except for McCain. To tell the truth it was easy to sell a war against the Muslim and the evil Saddam after the 9/11 tragedy even if that war took us away from the real terrorist. Biden was not alone in his argument. I remember the secretary of state convincing the Europeans of that same lie as well as others. Heck Giuliani still tries to sell that crap every chance he gets!!!!!!!!!!!! Since you want to go back in time, who said we would be seen as liberator and loved by the Iraqi people. Also who said that we have achieved victory twice but now says victory is in sight. HUH??????????? Just McCain being McCain!

          When we entered Iraq we helped alot of people, got Saddam out of power and changed the lives of many people there who lived in fear of the terrible government they had! Saddam would not let the inspectors in and did everything in his power to alliante other countrys. Saddam was not a good leader just thing of what he did to the Kurds! Once we entered Iraq we had to stay for the long hall! Even if Obama becomes president he can not just pull our troops out and not even Obama will just pull them out! We have to stay until our job is finished there! Bined was all for going into Iraq and voted for it! And if Obama had been Senator then he probably would have voting to go to Iraq too! It's easy to say what you would have done like Obama has been saying! Saddam was a leader capable of anything! About 7 weeks ago our troops found 10 tons of yellow cake in Iraq that is used to make neuclear weapons, Canada bought it. But most of the Media does not report these things! Who knows what else will be found in Iraq! So maybe Bush was not so wrong. Taking a stand and showing other countrys they can not be a problem for other countrys like Kuwait and not let inspectors in when the United Nations has decided to put sanctions on them and send inspectors in might have been the right thing to do!

            What are you talking about? So you mean to tell me Saddam was so smart that he hid radio active material that was found years later in a country that been occupied for how long now? Yes Saddam was a bad man but that need to be dwelt with like during the first gulf war. It???s amazing how people who argue for the war conveniently forget about that. So the violence that goes own to the brink of civil war and the influx of terrorist since we invaded makes a country and its people better off. If you believe that how about you pick up and move over to Iraq and tell us how safe it is??????I thought so.

              The next time a rogue nation has 12 years to comply with 17 resolutions, the UN will just say "Okay, we believe you", toss them in the trash and leave. And why not, you have no interest in enforcing them.

                Since when has the UN stood against a rouge leader for real!!! Ask Israel about the UN! Nice to see you skipped through the other facts i mentioned like the sudden find of radio active material, or the Iraq civil war, or the fact Iran was and still is a much greater threat than Iraq. What is the UN doing to them................. So once again how safe is Iraq now? By the way the next time a country has 12 years to comply with 17 resolutions i hope the UN would have done something more than just TV spots. Also the next time we or any other country goes to war make sure the reason we go does not change after the fighting starts. After all how may countries now are ran by evil dictators that do not comply with the UN, Are we going to go to war with all of them?

    This is an example of what is to come if Mccain/Palin are elected into office. The American people want and deserve to know everything there is to know about their elected officials. If there appears to be something in their background that is questionable, then they SHOULD NOT be given the benefit of the doubt. There is simply to much at risk and OUR LIVES depend on not handing over the levers of power to anyone who MAY have the tendency to abuse those powers. OUR WAY OF LIFE ISN'T A DICE GAME. There are real consequences involved with electing the wrong person for the highest and most powerful job in the world. As Americans we CAN'T put that type of responsibility in the hands of someone who we think IS JUST LIKE ME. Those responsibilities belong in the hands of EXORDINARY INDIVIDUALS who have a keen foresight and the UNWAVERING COMMITTMENT to do good for the entire citizenry. But if an individual gives the perception that they ARE ABOVE THE LAW and DO NOT have to DISCLOSE or ANSWER for their previous behaviors while in PUBLIC OFFICE, then it should be OVERWHELMINGLY obvious to the American People that this person DOESN'T have our BEST INTEREST at heart. A person who feels this way is SELF-SERVING and CAN NOT be trusted and afforded an opportunity to CAUSE HARM to the American People.

    People she herself filed for the ethics inquiry against herself. Now I do understand why they would also like to stop it and I'll tell you the main reason and that is that anything and I mean anything that they find will end up being blown out of proportion just like everything else that they try to find so far. The worst part that the media will follow along and lets not forget all the Obama worshiping circus bears. Now let's be fair and have the media make a realistic comparison on Obama and Palin since the race has turned more into him against her, since that is their way they are trying to so pathetically to find anything they can to take the attention away from her. Why don't they list his shady deals and association with criminals against hers and let's see who has a longer list.
    I for as much as I know from this 'Troopergate' will back her up. She shows the guts to make a decision against corrupt individuals while Obama befriends them. You have a Police Chief that does nothing to one of his own that drives around in a Police car with open alcohol containers, drunk, abusive towards women and threatening to kill people and do nothing about it and we are wondering if she was correct to get rid of both of them. Is that the people you want protecting your family, is this the new Democrat way? So if Obama get elected it'll be ok for cops to drink and drive but not us. This thread is really foolish and it just shows the level that this election has taken. The Democrats are that afraid of this lady from Alaska that something we would all love for a politician do and try to find as hard as possible one little word or statement and edit it into the next anti Palin ad. But yet we all sit here and wonder ohh what does she have to hide, well this foolishness is what they are trying to avoid.
    You all want to attack a female and as the Democrats make statements since day one that this was a step back for women, then why don't you attack his wife Michelle, she's the one that said that the first time she ever felt proud to be an American was the day her husband announced he was going to enter the race. She should have been proud the day he got the grant for the medical center she works for from our taxpayers money and how surprising that she gets a $200,000.00 a year raise from it. Oh and these are the people that promise change and yet she closes the door on the poor from getting medical help at the hospital she works for. What kind of medicals plans do they have ready for the rest of the country? I wonder if she???s still collecting a check from the money we the proud Americans put in this medical center for everyone but the poor.
    The day I see her as the first lady is the day I will no longer be proud to be an American, I will at that point get the Obama syndrome and hate the place I love.

At least Obama doesn't come on national news bragging and lying about himself telling the American pple what he did as a Senator and then we all find out later that it was completely false. The only people doing so is McCain and Palin. The only liars here is McSame/Palin who lied from the beginning to the American pple portraying her false image which is not entirely true for political gain. So don't be praising Palin and defending her for lying to the American pple.     Wow, haven't seen any other candidate with this much drama before! Seems like this Palin person has real issues in every direction that we all now know. Her baggages are dragging more and more on this election trail lol. If the McCain campaign are trying so hard to deal with her scandal case by sending in his investigation team lawyers, what's going to happen when McCain/Palin doesn't win the election. Does that mean McCain will kick her to the curb and tell her she can deal with her case on her own. I'm sure he wouldn't try this hard to cover it up if she wasn't his running mate! That just shows that he only cares about winning this election that he and Palin will say or do anything to cover their ass!

It should be heard by a judge and jury and it should be done quick. If she has nothing to hide why is McCain sending his goons in to stonewall the investigation?     Palin seems like a sociopath to me; she has no moral core. She is driven only by ambition and a will to control. Anybody who thwarts either (her ambition or her control) becomes an enemy. She has no concept of the law or even a basic understanding of how she abused her power. It's also annoying that nobody sees her husband's excessive role in her government as an abuse of power. I would be horrified if my bosses spouse were trying to control my career!!! Some of the commenters are not clear about the ethics here. It is one thing for Palin to object to the behavior of her brother-in-law and to pursue that objection in a legally appropriate fashion. It is quite another for her to abuse her power, to try to destroy the career of both the brother-in-law and the person who wouldn't fire him. Palin seems to think she's queen of Alaska. She does not understand that her power is limited.

    If she did nothing wrong what does she have to worry about.
    The ethics commitee was appointed by her. If they were the judge and jury for the case their ethics would be in question.

    This case needs to be heard by an impartial judge and jury and not stonewalled by John McCain and his goons.

    Now that's what I call "straight talk": send in a former Justice Department prosecutor to quash an ethics investigation. Let's face it, if there was nothing to be found, this wouldn't be necessary. So what are McCain/Palin trying to cover up? We've lived through 8 years of this kind of behavior with Bush. I can't take four more - and I'm a Republican!

    Sarah Palin's "introduction" to the American people has been mostly repeated and incessant lying. In just a few weeks we've heard her lie on the record multiple times about her record as mayor of Wassila and Governor of Alaska. She's lied about her trips out of the country. She's lied about earmarks, experience and Obama. Then she parrots McCain's lies. Is there anything this woman doesn't lie about?

    During the softest interviewing she'll likely face Palin stumbled on simple questions and repeated portions of her tired nomination blather over and over.

    Now she's lawyered up in a huge way to keep from having the Troopergate findings influence this election. This must be the worst "introduction" of any politician ever. A fair, transparent and open government? Not from John McCain and Sarah Palin. It'll be business as usual for these two spiritual heirs to W's failed administration...
