        Not true.

you just posted some of them above; again, playing "gotcha" because Palin has been found out is a high school game and you along withh the rest of the Republicans will be on recess come Nov. 5th...Geez, Obama was right, McCain just doesn't "get it" and apparently neither do those who support him!

It seems Palin comes with more questionable baggage, than was ever ascribed to Bill Clinton. Her vindictiveness appears to even exceed that of the Bush administration. Her knowledge of national and international affiars is zero. God help the US if this woman becomes first in line to a 72 year old former cancer patient, who at times doesn't seem to have it altogether either.

Let's face it - she's a phoney! She governed poorly, she wasted money, now she lies about all of the projects. And she can't work with anyone because of her abrasive personality. Must have a y chromosone in there.

    • Posted By: a brighter America 08 @ 09/18/2008 12:38:34 PM

Palin was on TV just a few minutes ago. How can anyone stand to listen to that horrific abrasive voice of hers?? How can anyone stand to listen to horrific lies, distortions, and slander? From the looks of the news coming out of Alaska, Pilan is a self-serving, money-wasting witch! Firint people who don't see things as she wants them to - her way!! Hiring school chums with NO experience to fill government position!! Folks, this is not the way to govern and we, the people, have the POWER to NOT ELECT THIS HORRIFICLY DISPICABLE PAIR TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY. We, the people, tend to forget that is is "WE, THE PEOPLE, ARE THE ONES WITH THE TRUE POWER IN THIS COUNTRY. Let's use that power to say NO, NO WAY, NO HOW to these two shysters!!

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 09/18/2008 2:20:59 PM

Ack, I know! Her voice is so annoying! Tina Fey nailed it on SNL, and I love how they said in the skit that Hillary was surprised sexism is just now an issue. Freaking GREAT take on it!

Newsweek why don't you run a story on Obama voting record to NOWHERE. He has skimped off of other politicians service ever since he has been in office, which is why people think he is so clean and the honest average Jane on the street. He has never taken a stand on anything, which is why he has less experience than Palin does. At least when I look at Palin I see someone who is not hiding behind a fake superman cloak, making fake superman garbage promises.

    • Posted By: InsideScoop @ 09/18/2008 1:18:14 PM

ndrock, why is it that anytime someone questions Palins ethics (or lack therof) Republicans try to pull Obama mania and ask why he hasn't been questioned about this or why the media is so mean as oppossed to answering the question about Palin??? Obama has been fending off charges against him for over a year, he is clean of any ethics investigation and if he were asked about it, he wouldn't need a team of McCain's lawyers to answer

      • Posted By: SavethisCountry @ 09/18/2008 2:20:14 PM

It does seem that the 'Palin' syndrome makes all who blindly follow her feel she should get the special treatment. Don't make fun of her, don't question her ethics, don't ask her direct questions . . Simply said they then cry foul and say but look over there. THEY HAVE and do. As it is in court, if you bring up a subject, it becomes fair play. She has played the US easily gullible which brought our less than Commander in Chief Bush back, with her winning hand of the Bridge said no, etc and then wonders why brain trust America actually validates the facts? If she was as 'good' as she thinks she is, then the skeletons would not even be there to begin with. Face it, the lipstick is not to identify what isn't a pit bull, its for the pork she still wants.

Besides it is not Obama going on a campain touting his valiant fight against earmarks and lieing about the ones he did colllect, Palin has this problem. To say you hate earmarks and they mucst be stopped hile having a record of reuqsting and spending them (job done or not) is at the very least hypocritacal.

      • Posted By: Bona Phide @ 09/18/2008 1:32:59 PM

Amen the reason why the media doesn't pursue the half baked charges against Obama's character is because they are, like Palin's earmarks, a road to nowhere...

  • Posted By: Bona Phide @ 09/18/2008 1:58:36 PM

It's one thing that she kept the money in AK after "saying no thanks to the bridge to nowhere", that just makes her a liar. Building the road to nowhere just highlights how irresponsible she is in regards to our tax dollars. It's a whole new level of horrible and disgusting when we find out that congress was working on diverting some of that money to help re-build a bridge to somewhere in huricane ravaged New Orleans. How selfish does one have to be to put your state over fellow Americans suffering in a time of crisis? Especially with such a wasteful project that even the local 7,400 people mock! Sorry I'm saying, "Thanks, but no thanks to Sarah Palin!" Obama/Biden 08!

Hey Shara, Thanks but no Thanks

  • Posted By: JACKI L @ 09/18/2008 1:11:17 PM

What is really clear is that Ms. Palin is a selfish and inconsiderate human being. The ridiculous bridge to NOWHERE is a joke as is the road that leads to a beach. Given the fact that she could have returned the earmarked money and allowed it to be used to help the people of Louisanna rebuild after Katrina and chose not to do so shows what type of human being she is. She is clearly out for herself and what benefits her. She has no compassion for anyone or anything that does not further her ambitions and goals. Thank God that the american people are finally starting to see he for what she truly is. I doubt the word reformer is even in her vocabulary.

FOOD FO THOUGHT: Would we hire liars to clean our house (look for our jewelry and valuable to disappear)? Would we hire liars to help run our small businesses (look to be embezzled)? Would we hire liars to care for our children (look for our children to be abused and maybe even kidnapped)? Both McCain and Palin are HUGE LIARS!! Would your hire them for any of the above?? The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT. So, WHY, then would we want these liars and untrustworthy pair to LEAD our country?? FOOD FOR THOUGHT, PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT ND MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU, YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR LIVELIHOOD,AND ALL THAT YOU HOLD DEAR IN YOUR LIVES!!

  • Posted By: a brighter America 08 @ 09/18/2008 1:01:54 PM

It is VERY CLEAR John McCain did NOT VET Pilan; he met her one time, fell in love with her toothy smile and, in his demented mind, THAT qualified her for his veep. The second time he met with her, he offered her the veep position!! NOW, he does not want the media to talk with her, he does NOT want us asking questions about her past, how she governed, etc. Both of them keep telling us how superbly wonderful this woman is. Americans are intelligent and the only "superb qualifications" are lying, and lying some more to cover the first lie, and then lying again and again and again. Neither McCain or Pilan are qualified for the challenging jobs of President and VP. Peolpe, please remember, WE, THE PEOPLE ARE DOING THE HIRING!!! Would we hire liars to clean our homes (look for your jewelry and valuable to dissaaper), would we hire liars to help run our small businesses (if so, look to be embezzled), would we trust liars with our children (look for your children to be abused)? Etc. Etc. Well, think about it, do you want LIARS and UNTRUSTWORTHINESS AT THE HELM OF OUR COUNTRY ---AGAIN?? YES, AGAIN??

Comment: She brages about giving every resients people from the oil revenues, why couldn't use that money for the road to no where, and the bridge to nowhere. Why did she need money from tehe Federal goverment, if they had a surplus?
    --------------------------------
Palin is boasting she gave people in Alaska money from oil revenues. Gee, doesn't Palin KNOW this has always been the case in Alaska since Alaska has been drilling oil and the building of the pipeline? The state has been giving proceeds from oil revenue to ALL Alaskan residents for years!! She makes it sound like she "forged" this "bonus" Sarah Palin and McCain are so full of hot putrid air, all they can do and say is lie and then build more lies upon those lies. Both Palin and McCain are totally ignorant of TRUTH; they prefer to OVERLOOK the truth in favor of lies, deceit, and trying to make themselves looks "important" ! Paiin is a disgrace to the USA!! Palin and McCain, try being truthful once in a while!! You know the old adage, 'YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME BUT YOU CANNOT FOOL ALL PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME!! We, the people, are not buying your BS!! We have had eight years of deceit and coverups, we do not need any more of this disgusting type of governance!!

  • Posted By: Steve84745 @ 09/18/2008 11:07:00 AM

What I don't understand is why nobody brings up the fact that Obama & Biden BOTH voted FOR the bridge to nowhere and BOTH Biden & Obama voted AGAINST transferring those funds to Katrina victims. As the governor of Alaska Ms. Palin would be remiss not to seek all available federal funds for her state's infrastructure. If she doesn't get the funds some other state will.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 09/18/2008 11:30:59 AM

Because you just made this up.

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 09/18/2008 12:01:47 PM

Technically it's true, but not really central to the argument. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/10/opinion/main4435937.shtml
80 other senators voted this down, which leads me to believe something was fishy about it. You know we don't always get the full story.

    • Posted By: cant9562 @ 09/18/2008 11:58:50 AM

it is not made up.... Go do the research and find out for YOURSELF! Biden and Obama DID INDEED for for that money to go to Alaska!

  • Posted By: joseph jacir @ 09/18/2008 11:39:36 AM

I said to Congress "NO but No thanks No ".....How can we trust with this politician Mr. McCain .....Voters wake up and see how McCain makes decisions and judgements...His pick of Palin is a fiasco and self serving

I keep hearing how Governor plin is "authentic," I can't see it. I=t appears she is just another politcian, a dihonest one at that.

  • Posted By: wimmer6 @ 09/18/2008 11:23:30 AM

I'm so tired of hearing how Palin is reformer, all evidence points to the contrary. But no one in the GOP will pay attention to a tiny little detail like honesty. It doesn't matter who voted for the Bridge earmark, she said she didn't want the Bridge. BUT she did until it became a national joke, THEN she backed away from it. And her state still kept the money for that said Bridge. People need to stop comparing Palin and Obama, that is not the argument. Unfortunately the odds of these two presidential candidates making it through their first term is frighteningly questionable. McCain will be the oldest president- elect in history on inauguration day and Obama is still a black man in a VERY racist country. I'd feel much more comfortable with Joe Biden stepping in to the presidency than Sarah Palin stepping into the presidency.

Meanwhile, bridges in other states (like Minnesota) are falling down because of a lack of funding.

  • Posted By: harrison2004 @ 09/18/2008 10:54:01 AM

Please will some kind hearted reporter ask Ms Palin why she permitted this road to nowhere to percede. I just dying to hear the reply.

Really, is this the best we can do for a Vice President?? Clearly she was chosen for her gender and attractiveness, and for not having had an abortion. Is that how little McCain thinks of the American people?? That we can be manipulated that easily, and get someone with so little experience? Obama went through the primary process, and was chosen consciously by the people, not by a small group just to pander to a few voter segment.

Sarah Palin is as qualified to serve as VP as Harriet Miers was to sit on the Supreme Court.
